Open Mike Eagle Shines On The Lasso Production With “Gold Gloves”

Mello Music Group delivered a brand new project on Friday called Bushido and the album has been receiving universal praise from hip-hop fans, especially those who prefer lyrics over anything else. There are a ton of great features throughout the entire run time and Open Mike Eagle is one of the more prominent names to be found across the tracklist. One of the best songs on here is a cut called “Gold Gloves” and it features the artist on top of production from The Lasso.

The Lasso offers up some incredibly crisp production here that will immediately grab your attention. From there, Open Mike Eagle is at his best poetically as he delivers bars about being from another planet and trying to get off the earth. There are some great lines to be had here and overall, it’s another great effort from Mello Music Group.

Quotable Lyrics:

Confidence assured (confidence assured)
Used to murder hoods
Clearly, I forgot
It’s not like what I learned in books
Too concerned to look and think it my head
My helm is broken, my head is swollen

Quando Rondo Allegedly Disses King Von At His Show: “I’ll Piss On His Grave!”

The hip-hop community suffered a major loss last November when King Von was tragically gunned down in Atlanta after a scuffle with Quando Rondo’s crew. Rondo’s affiliate Lul Tim is being accused of firing the fatal shots at the Chicago rapper, and initial reports suggested that the Georgia rapper felt remorseful about the situation. This, however, contradicts Rondo’s social media activity since the incident and, most recently, some disrespectful remarks the rapper had about the late OTF artist.

During a virtual concert on Saturday night (April 3), the 22-year-old rapper took aim at King Von in the grave with perhaps his most vile words to date. “He got caught without that pole and now that b*tch a** n*gga gone….. I’ll piss on his grave!” said the rapper during the show.

Prior to his recent distasteful comments, Rondo addressed people on social media who feel as if he should feel remorse for the passing of someone who had beef with him.

“Von got his self in that situation I didn’t even no cuz had pressure with me,” he wrote in response to a fan on Instagram with a heartbreak emoji and a 100 emoji.

As mentioned briefly before, Rondo has previously vocalized negative feelings regarding the late Chicago emcee and his crew. After moving pretty freely in the weeks following the fatal shooting, one of his late November shows in Atlanta shows was canceled due to a perceived safety threat, presumably from King Von affiliates.

“A whole hoe outchea,” penned 600Breezy in a shady message regarding the cancellation. What are your thoughts on Quando Rondo’s comments?

Skip Bayless Offers One Of His Dumbest Takes Yet After Gonzaga’s Win

Skip Bayless is one of the more hated individuals in sports media and it mostly has to do with the fact that he is a huge troll who doesn’t really seem to care who he offends. Whenever Skip rattles off a hot take, you can be sure there is going to be some salt behind it, and even when he’s been proven wrong, he continues to go with the same old narratives to make players like LeBron James look bad.

While watching the epic match between Gonzaga and UCLA last night, Bayless was extremely anti-Gonzaga and when Jalen Suggs hit his amazing three-point shot to win the game at the buzzer, Skip offered up a truly senseless take, claiming that the game wasn’t that good because it ended on a “lucky shot.”

Even if the shot were lucky, that doesn’t take away from the fact that this was a game for the ages. Regardless, Skip pissed off a lot of people with his hot take which is evident by all of the replies that were seen, below.

Let us know what you thought of the game, and whether or not what Skip said holds any weight. As for the Finals, those go down tomorrow as Gonzaga will take on Baylor.

LeBron James Reacts To Epic Gonzaga Buzzer-Beater

If you’re a basketball fan, you were probably glued to your tv last night while watching the UCLA Vs. Gonzaga Final Four game. This was an all-time incredible match and fans couldn’t believe what they were witnessing. In the end, Jalen Suggs came through clutch for Gonzaga as he dropped a desperation three-point shot at the buzzer which catapulted his team into the Finals where they will take on Baylor.

LeBron James was watching the whole thing and he was just as impressed as the millions of other fans who caught the matchup. At some points, he could not believe what he was witnessing although in the end, he seemingly had a hunch that Suggs would be the guy to end the game and give Gonzaga that huge win.

“I said SUGGS about to hit this as soon as he crossed half court. GAME!!” LeBron wrote.

Gonzaga is undefeated this season and if they beat Baylor in the Finals, they will be one of few teams to complete an undefeated season. Even if the year may have been shortened due to COVID, that is still an impressive achievement, and Gonzaga will be motivated come Monday night.

JT Has A Message For Haters Shaming Her Fashion Choices

The other half of the City Girls rap duo JT has made it clear in the past that she’s not afraid to respond directly to critics, oftentimes doing so on her respective social media channels. The Miami native has recently been in the center of numerous internet scandals, including catching flack for some resurfaced old tweets and blocking a fan with cancer. The “Flewed Out” rapper recently took to Instagram stories to respond to haters once again, this time with a message for people who had something to say about her recent street style choices.

“I don’t want y’all to understand nothing about me I want y’all to be so confused til y’all leave me. alone I don’t want to dress look or f*ck the same type as y’all,” penned the 28-year-old recording artist in her story on Saturday (April 3).

“If you don’t like what i do, what I wear, how I look, the unfollow button right there but you love it here!” she continued. “So you gonna watch me stalk me talk sh*t, dying for a reply…I’m not gone even tag what I got on… stay in y’all lane & get off my dick I love my life I want my life to keep changing!!!”

In a second post, she wrote, “False narratives, think pieces & paragraphs about a b*tch you so called don’t like get y’all STUCK ass on!!!”

While she didn’t refer to it directly, she’s likely responding to internet users who tore her apart for a recent fit she rocked while out on a date night with her current beau Lil Uzi Vert. The nipple-baring outfit received mixed receives on social media from fans, with many pointing out her recent change in fashion aesthetics.

SNL Delivers Lil Nas X Parody Where He Twerks On God, Lil Nas X Reacts

Lil Nas X’s new track “MONTERO” has led to a lot of controversies. From the music video to the shoes that accompanied the visuals, everyone has been talking about Nas X and the lasting impact this video may or may not have. It’s a provocative piece of popular culture and with things blowing out of proportion in such a way, it was only a matter of time before people began to make parodies of it.

Last night, Saturday Night Live came through with such a parody as they had Chris Redd play the part of Nas X who was on a talk show with Britney Spears. In the parody, Spears asks Nas X to twerk on God as a way to redeem himself for doing the same thing with the devil. It was a pretty interesting display, and Nas X ended up responding to it with his usual snark.

“SNL going to hell,” he wrote simply. As you can imagine, the responses to the parody were fairly split as some felt like it was classless while others were pretty amused by the whole thing.

Lil Nas X has become a polarizing figure in the world of music and that won’t be changing anytime soon. SNL has always had the same reputation, so it only makes sense that such a parody would come to fruition.

He continues to be at the top of his game and with his latest album Destined 2 Win, Tjay continues to show us why he is one of the best young artists to watch right now. One of the standouts from his new album is a track called “Slow Down” which is a cut that fans have been anticipating ever since they heard it leak.

With this track, Lil Tjay laments about a relationship he is trying to get into. For once, Tjay wants to take things slow and develop a real relationship although he feels like the girl is rushing things and he’s not comfortable with it. It’s a song with some real emotional honesty and it makes for a solid addition to your playlists.

Quotable Lyrics:

Yeah, you pulled up on me like you know me, I was by my doley
Asked me for a picture, checked my Rollie and said “Okey dokey”
That fan love, I decide to give my fan a hug
She said she gon’ post it when I really get my bands up

Kodak Black Skates On His Latest Cut “Easter In Miami”

Kodak Black has been teasing the release of new music with fans for a few weeks now. He previously bragged about recording a total of 167 songs since being pardoned by Trump and has already dropped a few songs including, “Every Balmain,” and his collabs with Lil Yachty and YNW Melly “Hit Bout It” and “Thugged Out” respectively. He announced on social media over the weekend that he would be premiering a new single on Sunday (April 4), subsequently sharing his latest track “Easter In Miami” with fans today.

The Pompano rapper shines through with his signature Kodak swagger on the track, rhyming for nearly the entire three-minute run of the song. For a freestyle-type of release titularly named after the holiday weekend it dropped, Kodak’s performance on the track is beyond stellar.

Right now, it’s unclear whether this or any of his previous releases are loosies or will be grouped together on one album or not. A year ago in April before his legal troubles amplified, the Florida native announced his third studio album Kill Billbut there’s no telling what direction he’s planning to go with it anymore. Check out “Easter In Miami” below and let us know what you think down in the comments.
