Shy Glizzy & No Savage Join Forces For The DC Smash “Ridiculous”

Following the release of the RMR-assisted ballad “White Lie” in February, Shy Glizzy is back with another collab single. This time around, the veteran DMV artist hops on wax with one of his fellow Glizzy Gang artists No Savage. Laced with production from Bankroll Got It, their new joint single, titled “Ridiculous,” gives a major nod to Washington, D.C.

Accompanied by a lavish music video, Shy Glizzy and No Savage’s new single “Ridiculous” marks the artists’ first collaboration together since last year’s “Forever Tre 7” from the former’s Young Jefe 3. “Ridiculous” is a three-minute track that features a hard-hitting verse from each of the Glizzy Gang rappers as well as a cocky hook, in which Shy Glizzy proclaims, “When it come to that DC shit, lil’ bitch I’m the GOAT.” All throughout their latest single, Shy Glizzy and No Savage put on for Washington, D.C. as well as represent the Glizzy Gang collective.

I had to go handle some bidness, uh (Handlin’ bidness)

Playboi Carti Decimated A Grocery Store While Filming The “Sky” Music Video

Ever since the release of his polarizing album Whole Lotta Red last Christmas, fans have been clamoring for more music from Playboi Carti. On Friday, the Atlanta artist returned with a treat for his fans, opting to share with them a new music video while they continue to wait for the deluxe version of Whole Lotta Red. The music video brought the fan-favorite WLR album cut “Sky” to life, and the visuals found Playboi Carti raising hell in a grocery store.

Thanks to recently surfaced pictures showing the aftermath of the filming of “Sky,” fans can see the bad state that Playboi Carti and his group of rambunctious cronies — including rising Atlanta rapper Destroy Lonely— left it in. Knocked-over cereal boxes and spilled juice covers the floor of an aisle in one photo while another picture reveals that Carti’s production somehow caused a hole in the grocery store’s ceiling. One behind-the-scenes shot even shows Playboi Carti standing on top of one of the aisle dividers, bending over right next to a “Cold Beer” sign.

Seeing as the Die Lit rapper likely had to pay to book the grocery store for the video shoot, one can only assume that whatever damages the “Sky” music video left on the store were promptly taken care of. If you still haven’t checked out Playboi Carti’s latest music video, you can check it out below.

Gonzaga Sinks Buzzer Beater To Defeat UCLA & Advance To The National Championship

Earlier this evening, the Baylor University and the University of Houston men’s basketball teams duked it out to see who would advance to the NCAA National Championship. Baylor skated to a lopsided victory, advancing the team to Monday’s championship game against whoever would end up winning in the subsequent game with Gonzaga University and UCLA. Now, the results are in from the latter Final Four semifinal matchup, and Gonzaga —‌ ‌as many people suggested —‌ ‌was victorious.

After entering overtime at the end of regulation, both teams appeared to be heading in the direction of second overtime when Gonzaga guard Jalen Suggs hit a game-changing three-point buzzer-beater to solidify a win over UCLA. According to Komo News, the championship-contending team’s win tonight puts them at 31 consecutive wins, giving them an undefeated run this season. Many, including former President Barack Obama, expected the top seed to make it this far, so luckily, the team was able to pull it out last-minute.

Check out the social media reactions to the insane final shot of tonight’s Gozaga and UCLA game as well as their excitement for the upcoming championship matchup between the Baylor Bears and the Gozaga Bulldogs.

Gonzaga and Baylor will compete for glory and their spot in college basketball history during the 2021 NCAA National Championship on April 5.

DJ Khald Sends Tom Brady Exlusive “Khaled Khaled” Merch

DJ Khaled is in ‘album mode.’ He can’t say it enough, and neither can we. Over the past few weeks, the We The Best DJ and record producer has been shedding light on the creation process of his upcoming album Khaled Khaled by revealing collaborations with artists like Lil Baby, Meek Mill, Nas, and Roddy Ricch. Still, Khaled has taken a break from ‘album mode ‘from time to time to do things like showing us his skincare routine. Now, it appears that he has interrupted ‘album mode’ to send a special package to recent Super Bowl winner Tom Brady.

In a recent post to his Instagram story, Tom Brady posed for a wholesome picture with his son, and they’re both seen leaning against a fixture in Brady’s bathroom. In the father-son flick, both Brady and his son are rocking some extravagant merchandise sent by none other than DJ Khaled himself. Tom Brady rocks a flashy hoodie that’s decked in a design that features a portrait of a lion, various flowers, and white polka dots while his son sports a robe that features an identical design. Upon further looking at their merch, you can see the words “Khaled Khaled” engraved in the pieces, nodding to DJ Khaled’s forthcoming sixth studio album.

In the story post, Tom Brady also writes in all caps, “THANK YOU FOR SENDING THESE OVER @DJKHALED. AND DURING ALBUM MODE NO LESS. WHEN DO YOU NEED THE VOCALS?!”

If you’re wondering whether the concept of Tom Brady sending in vocals for Khaled Khaled is a joke or not, you’re not alone. However, the fact that DJ Khaled is surrounding himself with GOATs during his album creation process may be a hint as to how he sees himself or what he’s trying to accomplish with his highly anticipated forthcoming up.

DMX Is Still On Life Support, Contrary To Previous Reports

Two hours ago, it appeared that the Hip-Hop community had received a glimmer of hope following the frightening news that DMX was in a vegetative state following a reported drug overdose and heart attack. However, contrary to previous statements made by DMX’s lawyer that he was off life support and breathing on his own, the rapper still remains on life support.

According to Rolling Stone, DMX’s attorney Murray Richman has now confirmed that the information that he initially communicated on behalf of DMX was incorrect. Richman reveals that prior to giving his original statement to Pix11, he had been given the wrong information. In a brief interview with Rolling Stone, however, Richman stated that DMX is currently hospitalized at a White Plains, New York hospital and still on life support.

As previously reported, Richman has a longtime relationship with the legendary rapper, so it’s understandable that was excited to comment on the previous development, even though it was ultimately deemed false. According to Rolling Stone, Richman appears to be handling the situation as well as he possibly can, but he is still concerned.

“It would be disingenuous of me to suggest that I am not a worried man,” Richman says.

Like Richman, the Hip-Hop community is extremely worried about DMX, and we all hope that he pushes through and gets better soon. Stay tuned for updates.

Twitter Reacts To Zendaya Voicing Lola Bunny In “Space Jam: A New Legacy”

Earlier today, Warner Bros. finally released the first official trailer for the forthcoming Space Jam: A New Legacy. Starring Lebron James, the highly anticipated sequel to the 1996 classic film featuring Michael Jordan will arrive later this summer, but thanks to its new trailer, everyone is talking about the upcoming Space Jam, even Lebron’s former teammate Lonzo Ball

Hours later, the fervor surrounding Space Jam: A New Legacy has returned, as Zendaya has been revealed to be the voice behind the reboot’s polarizing take on Lola Bunny. Last month, when a teaser showcased the Looney Tunes character’s new design, a surprisingly vast amount of Twitter users expressed their disappointment that the cartoon character wasn’t “sexy” enough. While that concerning development was a different story entirely, the confirmation that Zendaya will star as a voice actor in the new Space Jam is an extremely exciting update, so time will tell if the verdict on Space Jam: A New Legacy‘s version of Lola Bunny moves in a more positive direction.

The Lebron James, Zendaya, and Klay Thompson-starring Space Jam: A New Legacy will arrive in theatres and on HBO Max on July 16, 2021, but in the meantime, check out Twitter’s reaction to the news that Zendaya will be voicing the iconic Looney Tunes cartoon character Lola Bunny.

The top-seeded Bears outscored the Cougars 78-59, which was more than enough to send Houston packing and to secure their spot in the National Championship on Monday, April 5. According to CBS Sports, the 2020-2021 season has been Baylor’s best basketball season in the program’s history, and after its win earlier this evening, the team will cap off its stellar season with a chance to be etched into the college basketball history books.

Nicki Minaj’s ‘Anaconda’ Is The First Solo Female Rap Song To Reach A Billion Views On YouTube

Nicki Minaj has landed a number of records in her decade-plus-long career and while it’s been almost three years since she released an album, her last one being 2018’s Queen, the rapper is still finding ways to label herself as a one of a kind rapper.

More than six years after the music video’s release, Minaj’s The Pinkprint highlight, “Anaconda,” has reached a billion views on YouTube. The impressive feat makes her the first female rapper to reach the ten-digit number with a solo song on the platform.

With “Anaconda” surpassing a billion views, Minaj also ties Katy Perry and Rihanna for the most overall music videos with more than a billion views on YouTube, that being six. The other videos from the Pink Friday rapper’s catalog to accomplish this include “Bang. Bang” with Jessie J and Ariana Grande, “Hey Mama” with David Guetta, Bebe Rexha, and Afrojack, and “Swalla,” with Jason Derulo and Ty Dolla Sign.

While the news may be a reason to celebrate for the rapper, it comes a little over a year after she listed “Anaconda” as one of three songs she wished she never recorded. She said this during a Q&A session with entertainment executive Irving Azoff at Beverly Hills’ Pollstar Live Conference and added “Starships” and “Your Love” to the list. “I was like, ‘Why did I do this?’” she joked during the conversation.
