Undefeated x Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Hall Of Fame” To Get Second Release

If you are a big fan of Kobe Bryant, then the Undefeated x Nike Kobe 5 Protro is probably a shoe you might want to consider copping. The nickname for the shoe is “Hall of Fame” as it honors Bryant’s upcoming induction into the Basketball Hall Of Fame. Of course, Kobe is extremely deserving of this honor and following his death, this will certainly be an emotional affair.

The shoe was originally released on Wednesday, May 12th and as you can imagine, the shoe sold out immediately. With its mostly gold upper and purple highlights, this is a shoe that pays tribute to Kobe’s legacy with the Los Angeles Lakers and how he was able to win five titles throughout his career. All of the little details are special in their own way and if you like the Kobe 5, then this is easily one of the best colorways you can get.

Now, the shoe is being released for a second time, this time on Saturday, May 15th which is the day of the big ceremony. The release is going to go through the SNKRS App and it will take place as of 10 AM EST. If you want a pair, be sure to wake up early as you won’t want to miss the draw.

NBA Players Could Not Get Enough Of J. Cole’s ‘The Off-Season’

J. Cole dropped his sixth studio album, and NBA players cannot get enough of it. Cole’s first release since 2018, The Off-Season became available to listeners on Friday at midnight, with fans taking to social media to heap praise on the record.

NBA players decided to join in on the fun, shouting out just about everything from the lyrics, to the album’s production, to the mere fact that Cole — who is adding professional basketball player to his list of responsibilities by joining the Patriots Basketball Club of the Basketball Africa League — put together a new album.

One player, Eric Paschall of the Golden State Warriors, ran into some trouble trying to listen to it right at midnight, but eventually got to listen and really liked what he heard.

Plenty of dudes had something to say about the number of nods Cole gave to the basketball world. Ja Morant appreciated getting some love on “My Life,” Bradley Beal was glad to see Russell Westbrook’s name get dropped on “Amari,” and both C.J. McCollum and Donovan Mitchell were fans of Cole sampling Damian Lillard’s postgame comments after he dropped 61 points on the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA’s Orlando Bubble on “Punchin’ the Clock.”

And unsurprisingly, Dennis Smith Jr. had the highest possible praise for his friend from Fayetteville.

Lil Nas X’s New Single ‘Sun Goes Down’ Will Debut Ahead Of His ‘SNL’ Performance

Lil Nas X made headlines when he released his recent single “Montero (Call Me By Your Name).” The song’s attention was mainly focused on it’s video, which saw the rapper sliding down a stripper pole into hell and twerking on Satan. Seeing as Lil Nas X went all-out for his last track, fans are expecting an equally eye-catching rollout for his next single.

Lil Nas X took to social media Thursday night to reveal the release date of his next track, “Sun Goes Down.” The rapper made the announcement with a highly-stylized photo which sees him controlling water with his fingertips against an ethereal backdrop. He noted the track will debut May 21, just one day ahead of his anticipated Saturday Night Live performance.

The rapper was announced as the SNL musical guest earlier this month. Alongside the host Anya Taylor-Joy, Lil Nas X’s performance will officially close out the show’s 46th season. The timing of the release of “Sun Goes Down” is no coincidence, as it seems he plans to share the new track on the SNL stage. He initially responded to SNL announcing his involvement by saying he plans to perform “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” along with an unnamed new song.

Juice WRLD’s Live Free 999 Fund And Crisis Text Line Are Offering Free Counseling

In honor of Juice WRLD‘s well-documented struggles with addiction, anxiety, and depression, Live Free 999 Fund, the non-profit started by his mother in his name, is partnering with Crisis Text Line to provide free counseling to fans in need. The Crisis Text Line provides mental health and crisis intervention texting services, with live counselors who talk texters from a “hot moment to a cool calm” and refer them to needed help.

The Live Free 999 Fund, meanwhile, helps provide easy access to education, prevention, and treatment options for people suffering from opioid and other forms of drug abuse. Carmela Wallace, Juice WRLD’s mother, explained why the partnership is so important, especially during May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month. “There’s not a day that I don’t think of Jarad,” she said. “Many of my memories of him are happy ones and they make me laugh, but some days are very sad. During Mental Health Awareness Month, I want to encourage people to focus on their mental health and to warn them of the dangers of self-medicating, and for them to seek support if they need it. I want young people to take this time to do a mental health self-check, to be honest with themselves, and reach out to Crisis Text Line if they need someone to talk to. That’s why we’ve formed this alliance, to provide a starting point for young people to get the help they need.” She also echoed the sentiment in an Instagram post earlier this week.

Live Free 999 is also hosting an art contest with the winner to be featured on a future merchandise collaboration. See below for more information.

Morray Recalls His First Time Smoking On “How To Roll”

North Carolina’s Morray is on a triumphant run. Not only did he recently drop off his debut mixtape Street Sermonsbut he also held it down as one of the few features on J. Cole’s brand new album The Off-Season. Suffice it to say, it won’t be long before the rising star — who happens to have the benefit of an endearing and genuine personality — is a household name. We recently caught up with Morray, who held it down to spit some game on the new episode of How To Roll.

It’s evident that Morray is a cannabis connoisseur as he reflects on his favorite strains. “OG,” he begins. “You can’t go wrong, OG is the shit. Gelato, if you want to get fancy. Blue Dream was my favorite when I came out. I used to love Blue Dream. I used to smoke Blue Dream every day.” Insofar as his preference towards Indica or Sativa, Morray leans toward the former. “Indica keeps me awake,” he explains. “Sativa give me that relaxation, want-to-lay-down high. Indica gives me that sixteen songs in the studio high.”

“My first time smoking weed, I was in P.A,” he recalls, taking it back to when he was thirteen. “I was on my way to school, and my cousin had some clips in his mom’s ashtray. I hit that muthafucka and went to school, I ain’t ever been so high in my life. My mom came and got me, she slapped me up and all that shit. I didn’t even know I was there.” He laughs. “She was like, are you ready to go home? I was like, I thought I was home. I’m high as shit!”

He also shares a word of advice to anyone looking to buy weed — always be mindful of the packaging. “If anybody sell you weed and it’s not hard to open up, it’s not real weed,” he declares, after struggling to open his own pack. “It shouldn’t be open at the top. You gotta struggle, that’s how you know that weed is good.” When asked about his daily smoking habits, Morray admits that coming to L.A might have increased his consumption. “I was here for six days,” he recalls. “I smoked eight jars a day. It was a lot. When my label told me how much I was smoking, and I had to pay for it, I was like oh shit! Maybe I should slow down! I thought it was coming out of ya’ll pocket!”

Coi Leray Says She Wants No Part Of The Female Rapper Competition: “I’m An Artist”

Coi Leray says she doesn’t want to be classified as a “female rapper” when it comes to “competition shit” and prefers to be considered an “artist.”

“I’m not a female rapper. I’m a artist. Leave that rap competition shit for the rappers. I just want to make good music and have a good time,” she tweeted, Friday morning.

She added: “It’s enough for everybody to eat. Get it how you live.”

Despite the designation change, Leray certainly shows love to female rappers. Earlier this week, she mentioned that Nicki Minaj is her new motivation.

“Nicki Minaj so bad,” she tweeted on Wednesday. “Nicki Pink Richard Mille is my new motivation for today. I can’t stop thinking about that damn watch.”

Minaj released her first album since 2018, Beam Me Up Scotty, on Friday.

Leray is in the midst of a major come-up. She was recently received one of the music industry’s biggest co-signs when Drake posted a picture from one of her performances on his Instagram story.

The 24-year-old, who celebrated her birthday on May 11th, recently teamed up with Pooh Shiesty for a cinematic new video for their song for “BIG PURR,” which you can find here.

Antonio Brown Faces Civil Lawsuit Over Moving Truck Fiasco

Antonio Brown faced a lot of troubles in 2019 and the early stages of 2020. One of those issues came from the assault of burglary with battery, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and criminal mischief charges he received after reportedly roughing up a moving truck driver. Brown pleaded no contest to the charges and he was hit with probation and 100 hours of community service. While the incident happened over a year ago, the truck driver, Anton Tumanov, is now taking Brown to court in a civil suit.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Tumanov  “continues to suffer severe bodily injuries, pecuniary losses, and mental anguish” from the incident. As a result, he is seeking upwards of $75,000 as a way to make up for the damage that was caused.

At the time of the incident, Brown was refusing to pay $4000 for his services although that was eventually resolved. Now, Tumanov is claiming that Brown has yet to pay the $900 required to fix the moving truck, which was dented as a result of Brown’s actions. It’s also noted that Brown and his trainer roughed Tumanov up, which is what ultimately led to the “mental anguish.”

This is an ongoing case so stay tuned for updates as we will be sure to bring them to you.

Tyron Woodley Rips Jake Paul For Being A Culture Vulture

Jake Paul isn’t very well liked these days as he is always drumming up some sort of controversy in the world of boxing. Just last week, he got into a huge kerfuffle with the likes of Floyd Mayweather and at this point, there is a growing sense that Jake will get to fight against Mayweather in the near future. In the meantime, there are plenty of fighters who are pitching offers to Paul and one of those men is none other than UFC fighter Tyron Woodley.

Woodley was recently on TMZ Sports where he offered a scathing critique of Paul and what he does. Woodley firmly believes that Jake and his brother Logan are culture vultures who need to be shown a thing or two. Needless to say, Woodley is ready for war.

“They just culture vultures. Like he’ll vulch the juice from his own damn flesh and blood … My dogs don’t move like that,” Woodley said. “Come and get this smoke for real. I’m in and I can actually find him. People that keep talking about fighting him, they’re not even in position to fight him. I can actually fight him. I can fight him tomorrow if I want to.”

Paul has acknowledged Woodley in the past although it remains to be seen if a fight will actually get done. If it does happen, we will certainly be in for a treat.

Rosenberg Taps Method Man, Raekwon, & Willie The Kid On “Next Chamber”

Peter Rosenberg has been warming up to drop off his debut album, officially confirmed to be titled Real Late. And while the radio host slash hip-hop head isn’t spitting any bars on this one (he is, however, holding down the turntables in places), he’s certainly managed to curate a stellar lineup of emcees to bring his vision to life. Over a grimy instrumental, all three parties proceed to put in serious bar-work — but is that not to be expected at this point? Speaking on the track, it’s clear that Rosenberg appreciates the Wu-Tang legacy, understanding the significance of staging a reunion between two Shaolin legends. ” “I can’t even put into words how excited I was to get an original song done with Method Man and Raekwon,” he explains. “The second I heard the beat for “Next Chamber” I knew I had a Wu banger.”
