Nike LeBron 8 Low “Sprite” Officially Unveiled: Photos

Just ten years ago, LeBron James was in the midst of his first playoff run with the Miami Heat. As many fans remember, that run ended in heartbreak, as the Heat lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals. If you’re a sneakerhead, you probably remember LeBron wearing the Nike LeBron 8 during this time period. There were some incredible colorways of this shoe to be had, and the low-top model also had some gems, including the “Sprite” offering.

In the official images below, you can see that this “Sprite” colorway will actually be coming back in its OG form. The upper of the shoe is mostly blue while the sock lining, Nike swoosh outline, and midsole are all a vibrant shade of yellowish-green. These elements come together to create a dope offering that will certainly get fans excited and nostalgic for the early 2010s.

For now, a release date has yet to be given for these although it seems like the Beaverton brand is pushing for a June release which means these will be coming out sooner rather than later. Keep it locked to HNHH for all of the latest news coming out of the sneaker world, and be sure to let us know what you think of these, in the comments below.

Kevin Durant Comments On NBA Fans Getting Out Of Pocket

Players like Russell Westbrook and Trae Young were disrespected last night by opposing fans who thought they were just a bit too invincible in their seats. Westbrook had popcorn thrown on him, and Young was spat on in what was a truly disgusting move considering we are still in the midst of a pandemic. All-in-all, it was an embarrassing night for the NBA when it comes to fan behavior, and they’re taking action as a result.

The 76ers fan and Knicks fan in question have both been banned from their respective arenas and it doesn’t seem like the ban will be lifted anytime soon. Players have been urging the league to take this kind of action against the fans, and now, it’s finally happening. After the events of last night, Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant commented on the situation, noting that fans won’t find it funny when they can no longer see their favorite teams play live.

“It’s all fun and games until ya ass banned for life,” KD stated. As a superstar in the league, KD knows firsthand just how disrespectful the fans can be at times. There are fans who believe they have carte blanche to say and do as they please simply because they paid for a ticket. As the playoffs go on, many supporters are going to come to realize this is simply not the case, at least not anymore.

50 Cent Reacts To Witnessing Fan Spit On Trae Young

We’re all starting to get back outside together after having a year stripped from our lives due to the pandemic and, already, people are wyling out. Last night, two separate incidents took place during the NBA playoffs, forcing the league to make a statement about fan behavior at games. In Philadelphia, a fan poured popcorn on Russell Westbrook as he was walking to the locker room. In New York, a fan sitting near the court appeared to spit at Trae Young, which is an obvious no-no in this day and age.

Rapper 50 Cent and his girlfriend Jamira Haines were seated right in front of the fan who disgustingly spit in Trae’s direction, and the Power executive producer has officially spoken out about the incident. Without placing much of an emphasis on the spitting fan, 50 Cent said:

“I’m keeping good company, The knicks won last night. The energy was so high last night you can tell people were excited to be back out. They was screaming f*ck you @traeyoung they know that boy dangerous. It’s just New York energy, the people are so much nicer in houston. SMH.”

The fan who spit at Trae Young was banned from the arena, and so was the popcorn-dumping fan in Philadelphia.

NBA Issues Statement After Disgusting Fan Behavior

Last night, superstar players throughout the NBA had to deal with some disgusting actions from opposing fans. The two biggest instances involved the likes of Russell Westbrook and Trae Young. In Westbrook’s case, he had popcorn dumped on his head by a 76ers fan, all while Young was spat on by a Knicks supporter.

In both instances, the fans were banned from their respective arenas indefinitely, and now, the NBA is taking action. In the statement below, the NBA has revealed that they have updated their fan conduct rules, which will now be enforced much stricter than before. The league doesn’t want its players to be mistreated and they are taking steps to prevent these actions from happening ever again.

“The return of more NBA fans to our arenas has brought great excitement and energy to the start of the playoffs, but it is critical that we all show respect for players, officials, and our fellow fans,” the statement read. “An enhanced fan code of conduct will be vigorously enforced in order to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all involved.”

It remains to be seen whether or not the fans will be on their best behavior, moving forward, however, the league is simply not messing around anymore. With fans starting to get out of pocket, the players have had enough, and it only makes sense that the league would take severe action.

Gucci Mane Speaks On His “Tense” Verzuz With Jeezy & 1017 Being The Walmart Of Rap Labels

Arguably the most influential trap rapper, Gucci Mane has built a legacy filled with too many accolades to mention. After establishing himself as one of the most dominant rappers of his generation, the 41-year-old artist began to focus on his true life goal: building an empire and finding undiscovered talent through his own label. Finally, five years after getting out of prison, Gucci Mane has accomplished that much, building The New 1017 from the ground up and developing artists like Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, Big Scarr, Enchanting, and more.

Five years ago to the day, Gucci was released from prison. Today, he’s the cover star for Billboard, detailing his five-year plan since getting out and revealing that he’s accomplished all his goals. His plan, which included getting out, getting his life together, and building a label empire, took some time to come to fruition but it’s Wop’s time to show what he can do as a rap mogul now.

During his interview with Billboard, Gucci spoke about his not-so-friendly Verzuz battle with Jeezy last year, which broke records for viewership at the time. “Looking back at it, it was tense but it was real,” he said. During the event, Gucci performed his diss record against Jeezy, in which he references the rapper’s dead partner Pookie Loc. “It was a good step forward. For us to do that and for nothing bad to happen, that was great. If you wait on [the world] to give some credit, either they’re going to do it when you’re dead or when somebody has fallen off and they’re not relevant anymore. They never give it to the person when they’re still in the moment.”

The legendary rapper also spoke about his artist Foogiano’s recent arrest, saying: “Foogiano getting arrested and locked up, that put a damper on everybody’s spirit. He’s going through the same things that I went through. It has been tough seeing him go through that, especially with him having a little boy. Me and him had a son right around the same time. He’s in good spirits, but it’s still unfair to him, and we’re going to try and appeal it.”

The rapper has been building something special with his label but he says that in the next few years, The New 1017 will be even bigger. “We’ve been like a family. I want to make my artists a part of everything I do. And we’re going to all grow together,” he said, stating that 1017 is more of a “niche mom-and-pop” label right now but will eventually turn into “a big Walmart.”

Eminem Teases His Upcoming ‘Killer’ Remix Featuring Cordae And Jack Harlow

It looks like Eminem’s long-held animosity for 20-something rappers has subsided, as the 20-year rap veteran has reached out to two of today’s quickest-witted spitters, Cordae and Jack Harlow, to remix the upbeat Music To Be Murdered By track, “Killer.” Em teased the track ahead of its arrival, offering fans a tiny snippet of the track and its animated music video on Twitter. Its visual style resembled a pulp noir comic, with white ink on a black background and action shots that homage hardboiled thrillers and the comic books that Em loves collecting.

Incidentally, both rappers share more in common than just a love for complex rhyme schemes. Cordae’s breakout moment came with the release of his “My Name Is” freestyle over Eminem’s own breakout major-label debut single from two decades ago. Jack Harlow, meanwhile, has expressed his love for Eminem, checking his peers for underrating the Detroit icon during an interview with Pitchfork and putting his own spin on another one of Em’s classic records, “Without Me,” in an SNL sketch “explaining” how NFTs work.

The “Killer” remix drops tonight at midnight ET.

Jack Harlow Remembers The Show That Inspired His Song ‘Rendezvous’

Breakout Kentucky rap star Jack Harlow got to live his dream by appearing on this week’s season premiere Complex‘s Hot Ones, but his dream turned out to be more of a nightmare after his saucy fingers got a little too familiar with his right eye halfway through the episode. He spends quite a bit of the interview suffering, but before that, he got in a few really fun responses to questions about lyrics from his debut album, That’s What They All Say.

Host Sean Evans references the reflective song “Rendezvous,” on which Harlow rhymes about being “Eight deep at the show, it might be eight fans,” and asks Jack about his most “character-building” experiences on tour. Jack recalls the tour for his 2017 mixtape Gazebo where, “night after night, I was getting character builders.” He describes situations where he had as many people on stage as there were in the crowd. “One that stuck out was the first night of the tour, which really set my expectations. It was Birmingham, Alabama. There was as many people in the crowd as we had come to the venue with… I had some humbling shows, but they prepared me for this.” He also talks a bit about doing his own stunts in a Call Of Duty ad.

He’s certainly seen a turnaround in his fortunes since. In the same month that he released his debut album on Atlantic, he appeared on The Tonight Show, Saturday Night Live, and in an NBA All-Star Weekend game of two-on-two, bringing his audience from “eight fans” to millions in just three years.
