It’s a day of celebration for Migos. The Atlanta trio shared their Culture III album, a project that arrives after a years-long hiatus for the group, and people have had the record on repeat throughout the day. Migos has been taking over social media trending topics and continue to receive praise from their fellow rappers, but a co-sign from Jay-Z was the cherry on top.

Only a few artists hold both the power and respect that Hov does in the entertainment industry, so when he reaches out to let a rapper know that he not only sees, but likes what they’re doing, it’s a coveted moment.

Akademiks shared a screenshot that shows Jay complimenting Culture III in a text with Quavo. “That Avalanche song is beautiful,” Jay-Z reportedly wrote. “Congrats to you and the guys on the album. Peace God !” Quavo responded by thanking Jay for the kind words and added that Migos “put everything we had into this one.”

Recently, Quavo told Complex that he believes Culture III is going to take over 2021. “Greatness. The greatest album of this year. The greatest album of the summer,” he said. “It’s back open. I feel like this album going to open up the world.” What do you think about Culture III thus far?

The interview between Wendy Williams and Gary Owen didn’t sit well with his estranged wife. For months, Owen and Kenya Duke have been engaged in a bitter divorce that has mostly played out on her Instagram page. For the first time, Owen spoke about his split from Kenya following their 17-year marriage. The couple has been together for 23 years and according to Owen, like many relationships, it just came to an end.

The comedian also added that he wanted to keep things private but Duke decided to take their personal lives to social media. She’s accused him of infidelity, being a cheapskate, and also being a deadbeat dad, and following his interview, Duke returned to Instagram to hurl more accusations at her ex.

“I was shocked you spent most of your time talking about me, the divorce, son and daughter,” wrote Duke. She told him that he should have spoken at length about his projects and club performances, adding that when questioned about the divorce, he should have shut Williams down. “Why didn’t you?… because you want my attention and you knew someone would send it to me.”

Duke continued to rant about his interview, what was asked, how he answered, and then she shared a story about a woman named Lisa. She also talked about him lying to one of his children about a canceled show and not inviting his kids to the Meet The Blacks 2 premiere. Apparently, Owen surprised this woman Lisa’s daughter with the opportunity to meet Snoop Dogg at the premiere, and Duke was upset that he didn’t do the same for his adult children.

“Did it cross your mind how that picture with you, her and Snoop would make them feel?” she questioned. “Do better!… The text relationship is a joke and not worth discussing.” She suggested that Owen should have spent his time on The Wendy Williams Show boasting about his children, and she also went on about Claudia Jordan, a friend of Owen, insinuating that Jordan continues to speak about their divorce because Owen is feeding her information.

Soon, Duke was flooded with backlash as the public told her she shouldn’t detail the behind-the-scenes of her relationship on social media. She later posted a PSA of sorts letting people know that she’ll do what she likes with her space. Check it all out below.

Movies and TV shows have largely depicted prison escapes as complex, coordinated plans, but for 25-year-old murder suspect Cody Jondreau, it took only a matter of 26 seconds.

Jondreau, who was being held at Pinellas County Jail in Florida for the murder of his son, was able to hoist himself up the fence of the maximum-security wing. In the security video, Jondreau is seen climbing up the fence and holding himself up despite the security guard’s efforts to pull him down. He maneuvered around the barbed wire at the top, scaled a second razor-wired fence, and finally jumped to freedom, running into a nearby town.

However, the escape was brief as Jondreau was tased and arrested at a nearby golf cart business just 10 minutes later. Jondreau, originally from Ohio, fled the state to Florida after the death of his 5-year-old son. He was being held at the jail as the primary suspect in the case waiting to be extradited back to Ohio.

The Pinellas County Sheriff said after the incident that nobody has been able to escape for the past 25 years, but Jondreau managed it by using a makeshift pulley made out of a shirt to hoist himself up. Suffice it to say, security should be stepped up at the jail and many are surprised that a prisoner was able to escape in the first place.

There was a bump in the road when the Jordyn Woods scandal erupted two years ago, but after time apart, Tristan and Khloé found their way back to one another. On a recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian reportedly told her mother that she’s envious of the relationship her sister shares with the basketball star.

“I just feel like I’ve worked so hard in life to achieve everything that I’ve wanted to and I’ve lived up to my expectations and achieved ten times more than I even thought was humanly possible,” said Kim. “But I don’t have a life to share that with. I do, obviously my kids and everything, but am I just gonna sit here and think, okay, my kids fulfill me and I’m good.”

“I never thought I was lonely. I thought that’s totally fine, I have my kids, my husband moved from state to state and I’m on this ride with him and I was okay with that. Then, after turning forty this year, I realized like, no. I don’t want a husband that lives in a completely different state. To me, I thought, that’s when we’re getting along the best, but then that is sad to me and that’s not what I want.”

Kim detailed the type of relationship she desires and that includes someone who shares her interests. She explained that every morning during quarantine she would be the third wheel with Khloé and Tristan as they trio worked out together. “I was so envious of that,” she said. “I was like, wow. The little things is what I don’t have. I have all the big things… But I think I’m ready for the smaller experiences that mean a lot.”

Over the past few years, Nike and Jordan Brand have dealt with a lot of bootlegs on the market. This is especially true with the Nike SB Dunk Low which recently got infringed upon by Warren Lotas. Nike went to war over Lotas’ shoe and they eventually came out the winners. When it comes to the Air Jordan 1, there have been plenty of other bootlegs, as well, and Jordan Brand has had enough. In fact, Nike recently took to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where they tried to officially register the shoe’s design as a trademark.

Just a few days ago, Nike got their wish as the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 1 Low, and Air Jordan 1 Low SE all became officially registered trademarks. Now, no one can copy the shoe’s design and get away with it so easily. The trademark is for the design without the swoosh, which means if any bootleg contains a variation of the Nike logo, it will immediately be flagged for copyright infringement.

This is a huge legal win for the Beaverton brand as they will now have greater control over their intellectual property. The Air Jordan 1 is a silhouette that is often copied and now, there will be significantly less of those bootlegs on the market.

What was meant to be a time of celebration for Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena has become daily hits of rumors and speculation. The reality television couple recently announced that they are expecting the second child together and the news came on the heels of public arguments. There was a hiccup when Safaree declared that he was divorcing his wife months ago, but after making a public apology, they seemed to be back on track.

However, weeks ago it was shared that the pair had officially filed for divorce, and more has surfaced regarding their split. It seems that they are at odds over custody of their children and it was also rumored that Safaree wanted to be present in the hospital room when Erica gives birth to Baby No. 2.

According to Madame Noire, more gossip is being spread about the Love  & Hip Hop couple’s split. Amid conversations about possible infidelities on Safaree’s part, the outlet states that there have also been rumors about the rapper getting another woman pregnant. That information was also reportedly shared by The Neighborhood Talk, but their post about the information has since been deleted.

Ever since returning from injury, Donovan Mitchell has been having himself an incredible playoff run. The Utah Jazz star is carrying his team night in and night out, and with him in the lineup, the Jazz have yet to lose a game. In the first two games against the Los Angeles Clippers, Mitchell is averaging 41 points, which is definitely unexpected. His performances have many believing in the Jazz hype and at this point, they look primed and ready for an NBA Finals appearance.

Today, NBA legend Magic Johnson gave his opinion on Mitchell, and as you can expect, Magic likes what he sees. In fact, Johnson went so far as to say that Mitchell should be compared to future Hall of Famers like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and even Steph Curry.

“Donovan Mitchell is a bonafide superstar, scoring 45 points in Game 1 and 37 points in Game 2! We have to start mentioning his name more with the KDs, LeBrons, Stephs, etc,” Johnson wrote.

Mitchell still has a lot to prove before he gets on the same level as the LeBron’s and KDs, however, there is no denying that he has the ability to carry a team. If the Jazz were to win the title this year, then Mitchell’s legacy would be cemented, and Johnson’s tweet would be affirmed.
