Quotable Lyrics:

How I end up in Space Jam?
My Jordan’s, they be Space Jams
This a spaceship, not a Lamb’
I just crossed over your mans
Did it in front of her friends
Why they keep playing my right side
Whеn the ball in my left hand?

Dave East & Harry Fraud Drop “Diamonds”

It’s the exact sort of combination that hip-hop heads want to hear: Dave East’s bars and la musica de Harry Fraud. Luckily, we’re set to receive that in spades, with their upcoming collaboration album Hoffa set to drop on July 30th. Today, East has come through to deliver his new single from the Westside Gunn-curated project, sharing “Diamonds” to set the tone for what’s to come.

Fraud makes a compelling case that less is more, providing East with a soulful vocal sample evocative of mafioso rap’s glory days. It’s the exact sort of non-invasive instrumental that benefits an emcee like East, whose words can paint as vivid a picture as a musical backdrop. “Used to wish I could kick it, fuck school, I have to trap today,” he raps, a snapshot into his formative years as a hustler. “Ain’t care what mama think, felt like Tom Hanks in Cast Away / package landed Wednesday, trying to get it off by Saturday.”

Check out “Diamonds” now, and sound off if you think Hoffa has the potential to be Dave East’s best album yet.

Lil Wayne Denies Being Married, Tells Nicki Minaj His Favorite Sex Position

A few months ago, the world was convinced that Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., professionally known as Lil Wayne, had gotten hitched to his supermodel girlfriend Denise Bidot. The rapper sent off a cryptic tweet that seemingly suggested as much.

“Happiest man alive! Today is the beginning of our forever,” he wrote in April. “Forever?? Forever, ever?? FOREVER EVER!!!!! The Carters.”

According to Weezy, he wasn’t referring to anything as such. He was actually speaking about his sons forming a new group called The Carters, said Wayne to Nicki Minaj during last night’s Instagram Live stream.

“The other day it was some tweets going on, and I was like, ‘Oh, what’s going on?’ and I texted you and I was like, ‘Oh, Congratulations. I can tell you’ve been in a good mood’. And I said, ‘Congratulations,’ because I thought you had gotten married,” said Nicki on Live.

“I’m so glad you asked me that. I did not get married,” responded Tunechi. “I said ‘The Carters,’ and girl, that’s my damn sons, that’s my sons’ little name of their little group.”

Nicki didn’t hold back during her quick interview with Wayne, even asking the rapper about his favorite sex position.

“On top,” he revealed. “In any part of life, period. Not just the bedroom, just on top. When you’re on top, you’re just laying there, you just tell her, ‘Stop moving. Stop all that humping back. Stop that.'”

Nicki chimed in then, arguing that when it’s feeling good, you’ve got no choice but to hump back. Then, they got to a toe-sucking debate, which Wayne claimed he’s not into at all.

Blueface Challenges 6ix9ine To Hop Into The Ring With Him

On Thursday, it was revealed that Blueface had gotten a massive tattoo of “NYC LUXURY,” which is his jeweler’s name, on the side of his head, and naturally, it was only a matter of time before fans started roasting the Los Angeles rapper about his peculiar choice of ink. However, things took a nosedive for the worse when 6ix9ine decided to get it on the fun as well.

Taking to the comment section of DJ Akademiks‘ post, 6ix9ine made fun of the tattoo itself and then proceeded to come for Blueface’s pockets, claiming that “he definitely owed them money for unpayed jewelry.” And being the troll that he is, 6ix9ine took it a step further by sharing a skit of him going into a jewelry store and purchasing a $2,200 chain in exchange for a head tattoo.

Apparently, 6ix9ine’s antics were too much for Blueface on Thursday, and seeing that the two artists have had issues with each other before, their back-and-forth started to quickly escalate on Instagram.

“You literally trying to hard to stay relevant,” Blueface wrote back at 6ix9ine, and then he proceeded to share damning posts about 6ix9ine in which the TattleTales rapper admitted to “beating the sh*t” out of his ex-girlfriend Sara Molina.

DJ Akademiks caught wind of the heated back-and-forth on Instagram and reposted what Blueface had to say about the situation, and Blueface hit the comment section to question why 6ix9ine is quick to get into arguments on social media but hesitant to fight him in real life. The “Thotiana” rapper even challenges 6ix9ine to get into the ring with him.

“Y he won’t get ina ring wit me ak ?” Blueface wrote under DJ Akademik’s post.

True to his character, 6ix9ine responded by placing the blame for Sara Molina’s injuries on someone else, saying, “Shottie did this to her.”

Whether or not they actually get into the ring, are you interested in watching Blueface and 6ix9ine handle their differences in a boxing match?

Billie Eilish Has Cried More In The Weeks Leading Up To Her New Album Than She Has In Her ‘Whole Life’

We’re now just a few weeks away from Billie Eilish’s highly anticipated second album, Happier Than Ever. That’s dropping at the end of the month, but ahead of then, Eilish shared a new song, “NDA,” today. To mark that occasion, she chatted with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. During that conversation, Eilish said she has “cried more in the last two weeks than I have my whole life.”

Eilish explained how tough promoting a new album can be, saying:

“I mean, listen: it’s a lot of work. Also, when you want to give your album a life, and a big one, and you want people to listen, you gotta do stuff to make that happen. You got to do shoots and shoots and shoots and shoots and shoots and shoots… and all of the things. And it’s been a pretty… punishing couple of weeks, I got to tell you. I have cried probably 30 times. Probably, I’ve cried more in the last two weeks than I have my whole life. But it’s okay, because, you know, life goes on and things pass. But the whole process overall has been much better. I feel so much more confident and happy in my life and my personal life and my brain and my creativity. It’s just: promo is tough. It’s tough, but it’s worth it, though.”

SZA Is Getting Into The NFT Game Through A Collaboration With American Express

Top Dawg’s first lady is joining the NFT game. While fans have been dying to hear SZA’s second full-length album, barely satiated by the release of her first single, “Good Days,” or her long-awaited collaboration with Doja Cat, “Kiss Me More,” she’s giving them a piece of her career instead. In what might be the first of many potential collaborations for an NFT, SZA is releasing her first NFT drop today.

Today, American Express announced their collaboration with her on “Amex Unstaged x SZA: The Collection.” The drop gives Amex card members the chance to purchase the NFT, which features photos from her recent performance for the brand. According to a press release, the “limited, one-of-a-kind collection” will be available on Fanaply, an NFT developer used in music, sports and entertainment. The NFT includes “never-before-seen photos” from SZA’s performance. Today’s initial drop is only open to the Amex card members who attended the show, while the next iteration, coming this Monday, will be open to the public. Each asset will be available for purchase — with an American Express card — at a price of $100 right here.

Check out some of the first looks at NFT photos below and learn more about the drop here.
