Azealia Banks Shares Picture With Kanye West To Hype Raunchy New Single

Azealia Banks has been using Kanye West to promote her new single, telling fans that the record is about the music and fashion mogul’s “throbbing Black billionaire c**k.” On the cover artwork for the song, the rapper’s nails spell out Kanye’s name. Her latest outrageous antics continue as she pushes the record, sharing a photo with West on Friday morning.

As her single “F*ck Him All Night” continues to perform well amongst the new releases last night, Azealia fueled the fire by sharing a picture of herself with Kanye from a few years ago, referring to them as “Mom & Dad.”

Previously, Azealia told her followers that she wanted to have a child with Kanye. After her comments started getting attention, she backtracked and remarked that she was simply joking. After her failed engagement with Ryder Ripps, maybe she’s actually serious about getting into a relationship with Kanye. Supermodel Irina Shayk may have something to say about that, though.

Azealia and Kanye haven’t always had a strong relationship. In fact, in the past, they’ve been rivals. Azealia has used her platform to insult West and his estranged wife Kim Kardashian on numerous occasions. She seems to have turned around on Kanye though.

IDK Taps Westside Gunn, MF DOOM, & Jay Electronica On “Red”

There’s a certain type of hip-hop listener who sees a lineup of IDK, Jay Electronica, Westside Gunn, and MF DOOM and immediately clicks play. For those listeners, we’ve opted to highlight “Red,” an absolutely stacked posse cut from IDK’s new album USEE4YOURSELF, available for your listening pleasure right here.

Over a strange and off-kilter instrumental, Westside Gunn sets it off with an unrelenting verse; few can so successfully weave the worlds of brutal violence and haute couture. IDK tags in next, opting for a melodic flow vaguely reminiscent of one of Kanye West’s old favorites. A futuristic blast of overdriven 808s enters the mix, setting the stage for two lyrical heavyweights to close “Red” out.

The late MF DOOM is next up, and while he only contributes a few lines, his gravelly cadence is certainly welcome. His post-chorus transitions into Jay Elec’s final verse, and the Written Testimony emcee opts to tackle a few controversial topics over an orchestral string loop. “You stick with Dr. Fauci, I’m runnin’ with Dr. Wesley,” he raps. “I’ve never let the CDC come and finesse me / I never let the fake news from the press distress me / Even though the Devil would love to Malcolm X me.”

Check out “Red” now, and sound off if you think this one lived up to the hype of its lineup.

Kid Ink & RMR Channel Jagged Edge Vibes In Their New Collaboration

Just a few months ago, Kid Ink returned with his first studio album in six years, and following the warm reception that he has been receiving, the Los Angeles rapper is keeping his momentum going with another new track. For his first single since ALIVE, Kid Ink taps the 2020 internet sensation RMR, who has been reportedly hanging out with Sharon Stone in the lead-up to his highly anticipated debut album Hotel.

Titled “Party,” Kid Ink and RMR’s new summer-ready single channels the energy of popular 1990s and 2000s R&B group Jagged Edge, as the song’s chorus features an infectious rework of their 2001 hit single “Where The Party At.”

Despite taking cues from “Where The Party At,” the smooth and melodic new track still stands on its own, and it will definitely be a great addition to many fans’ playlists this summer.

Listen to Kid Ink’s new RMR-assisted single “Party” below and let us know if you’re feeling it in the comments.

Quotable Lyrics

Throw a couple racks, rich n*gga, loose change
And you don’t need a plus one, bring the whole crew
Go and show that a**, make ’em say you actin’ brand new
F*ck it up, get racks, make it clap
Don’t pay ’em attention, make a n*gga pay for that ’cause

Olympics Reconsider Swim Cap For Afro & Natural Hair After Ban Criticism

The upcoming Tokyo 2021 Olympics have been shrouded in a number of racism allegations this week- angering fans with the removal of Sha’Carri Jackson over marijuana use and the banning of Black Lives Matter apparel, though the event may now be trying to retract another allegedly racist rules.

On Wednesday, members of FINA, the board that creates the rules for the Olympic’s swimming events, told athletes and fans that they would begin reconsidering inclusively designed swimming caps after halting approval for them last week. The caps in question are made by Soul Cap, and are made specifically for black swimmers and black hairstyles in order to provide more suited cap sizes and delicate use; still, FINA feels they are too unconventional.

In response to widespread criticism on social media and accusations of racist rules, FINA posted a statement on Wednesday on their website: “FINA is committed to ensuring that all aquatics athletes have access to appropriate swimwear for competition where this swimwear does not confer a competitive advantage. FINA is currently reviewing the situation with regards to ‘Soul Cap’ and similar products, understanding the importance of inclusivity and representation.”

Though FINA went on to praise Soul Cap for its dedication to allowing people of all backgrounds enjoy water sports, their decision may not come in time for the caps to be used in Tokyo.

This statement is at odds with a FINA statement released last week, which read: “the athletes competing at the International events never used, neither require to use caps of such size and configuration.”

Still, a spokesperson told TMRW that Soul Cap is optimistic for the future: “It’s a positive step that FINA is going to reconsider our swim cap as part of their ‘wider initiatives aimed at ensuring there are no barriers to participation in swimming.'”

Dave East & Harry Fraud Drop “Diamonds”

It’s the exact sort of combination that hip-hop heads want to hear: Dave East’s bars and la musica de Harry Fraud. Luckily, we’re set to receive that in spades, with their upcoming collaboration album Hoffa set to drop on July 30th. Today, East has come through to deliver his new single from the Westside Gunn-curated project, sharing “Diamonds” to set the tone for what’s to come.

Fraud makes a compelling case that less is more, providing East with a soulful vocal sample evocative of mafioso rap’s glory days. It’s the exact sort of non-invasive instrumental that benefits an emcee like East, whose words can paint as vivid a picture as a musical backdrop. “Used to wish I could kick it, fuck school, I have to trap today,” he raps, a snapshot into his formative years as a hustler. “Ain’t care what mama think, felt like Tom Hanks in Cast Away / package landed Wednesday, trying to get it off by Saturday.”

Check out “Diamonds” now, and sound off if you think Hoffa has the potential to be Dave East’s best album yet.
