Rick Ross Announces The Release Date For His Eleventh Album, ‘Richer Than I Ever Been’

In hip-hop, it’s always been something of an accomplishment to reach double digits in your album catalog — something only a handful of well-established, super-successful rappers have accomplished in the forty or so years the genre’s been at the forefront of American pop culture. One of those artists is Rick Ross, who crossed that milestone two years ago with Port Of Miami 2. While absolutely no one would blame him for wanting to take a break, it’s clear Ross just flat-out loves to rap — a fact evidenced by today’s announcement that his 11th studio album, Richer Than I Ever Been, is coming next month.

Scheduled to release on December 10 through Maybach Music and Epic, the promo for Richer Than I Ever Been will kick off next Friday, November 12, with the lead single “Outlawz” featuring 21 Savage and Jazmine Sullivan. Ross shared the cover for Richer Than I Ever Been, which features photography by veteran hip-hop shooter Jonathan Mannion, on Instagram. Mannion himself also posted the cover, explaining the concept in his caption: “They can’t even see you, Rozay,” he wrote. “You are in a whole other stratosphere in this moment. Honored to sync up with you for this, our 5th, album campaign.”

Richer Than I Ever Been is due 12/10 via Maybach and Epic.

Aaron Rodgers Claims He Is Allergic To Ingredient In mRNA Vaccines

Aaron Rodgers received a ton of scrutiny this past week as it was revealed that he is not considered to be vaccinated, despite telling people that he actually was. Now, Rodgers cannot play this Sunday as his Packers take on the Kansas City Chiefs. Instead, Jordan Love will start, which means the Chiefs could very well get above .500 for the first time since Week 1 of this season.

Rodgers has been mostly quiet this week although today, he broke his silence during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.” It was here that Rodgers explained his decision to not get the mRNA vaccines, stating that he is allergic to one of the ingredients. Instead, he found an alternative immunization protocol, however, it clearly didn’t work as intended.

“I’m not an anti-vaxx, flat-earther.. I have an allergy to an ingredient that’s in the mRNA vaccines. I found a long-term immunization protocol to protect myself & I’m very proud of the research that went into that,” Rodgers said. “My desire to immunize myself was what was best for my body & that’s why this is so important to me. I made a decision that was in my best interest for my body. I’m not telling somebody to get vaccinated or not get vaccinated”

It remains to be seen what will happen to Rodgers moving forward here, although his explanation has already swayed some fans. As for his return to the field, that will probably have to go down in Week 10 and beyond.

Bill Belichick Gives Ambiguous Response On Potential OBJ Signing

Odell Beckham Jr. will be placed on Waivers very shortly as the Cleveland Browns plan to release him. Over the last couple of weeks, OBJ has expressed his desire to leave the team, and the Browns understand that they would probably be better off just letting him go. Now, Beckham Jr can be picked up by anyone, which leaves him open to some of the most prominent teams in the entire NFL.

One such team is the New England Patriots, who have expressed interest in Odell for quite some time. Bill Belichick has always been secretive about his plans, and that’s exactly how he acted earlier today when asked by reporters if the Patriots were considering a move for the Pro-Bowl wide out.

“We’ve done that before. Brought in Talib in the middle of the season. I don’t know any specifics, so at this point, there’s nothing to really talk about,” Belichick said. Belichick and the Patriots will have to act fast as the Waiver Wire for OBJ isn’t going to last very long. Numerous teams could use his talents and it’s really going to come down to how fast you were with putting a claim in.

OBJ’s NFL status is a developing story, so stay tuned to HNHH as we will be sure to bring you all of the latest updates from around the football world.

YSL’s Strick Links With A$AP Rocky On “For Sale”

2021 has been a huge year for Young Stoner Life signee Strick. The Atlanta youngster has had the ability to work with some of hip-hop’s most talented artists since the year’s beginning, and put together a stellar feature roster for his Nov. 5 album Strick Land.

Included on the list of guest names was A$AP Rocky, fresh off the re-release of his 10-year-old breakout mixtape LIVE.LOVE.A$AP to streaming platforms.

Rocky landed on “For Sale,” the amusing, repetitive sixth track on Strick’s new album.

“For Sale” opens with Rocky’s hook, verse and following bridge where he spits bars about the array of paraphernalia and drugs he has at his disposal. Along with this entrepreneurial activity, Rocky elaborates on his how women enhance his life.

After Rocky lists the several items he has for sale on the second rendition of the hook, Strick slides onto the track repping his beloved label and explains how his girl is a real one rapping: “YSL 4L (Slime), Young stoner passed the scale, I got a bitch that won’t tell (Woo), She keep her lips sealed.”

With this impressive showing, Strick adds A$AP Rocky to the list of stars he’s collaborated with. For YSL’s compilation record Slime Language 2 from April, he linked with Kid Cudi and YSL boss Young Thug for “Moon Man, as well as British icon Skepta for “WokStar,” including both songs on Strick Land.

Along with this, he received feature verses from NAV, Swae Lee, Gunna, Ty Dolla $ign and many more on the new project.

Check out Strick’s new song “For Sale” with A$AP Rocky below and be sure to stream his debut album Strick Land as well.

Kanye West’s Deal With Def Jam Is Over

Since last night’s two-and-a-half hour Kanye West interview with Drink Champs, several of his powerful soundbites have made headlines. Whether it be a new feud with Big Sean or dissing Soulja Boy, Ye gave the truth about many aspects of his life.

One detail he divulged on Drink Champs was that his contract with Def Jam has expired, and that he is no longer signed to them. If you recall, last summer West fired off dozens of tweets revealing his contracts with labels including Universal Music Group.

UMG happens to own Def Jam, who Kanye signed to in 2004 to handle distribution for his GOOD Music label. With his Donda release in late August, Ye fulfilled his 10-album deal with Def Jam and UMG and is no longer confined to his contract.

He also revealed in the interview that intensive reading was never his strong suit, causing him to be misguided and sign the multitude of contracts he did early in his career. He blamed those around him for not advising him better or looking out for him: “What was the craziest thing? Exposing I had 10 contracts and everybody around me knew I had 10 contracts. Everybody that supposedly cared for me knew I had 10 contracts. I’m off of it now. But what I’m saying is, I signed contact, after contract, after contract, after contract, and one of my skillsets is not reading. One of my skillsets is not counting. They tell me to learn but I’m not telling these n****s learn how to dress.”

West did not reveal his future plans for GOOD Music or his music distribution, as his releases were handled by Def Jam his entire career. Kanye’s run with Def Jam was one of the best in hip-hop history. It remains to be seen how his new era will go under a different label.

Sixers Resume Fining Ben Simmons For Uncooperative Attitude

Ben Simmons has been out of the Philadelphia 76ers lineup as he deals with mental health issues. At first, the Sixers were exercising patience with Simmons as they want him to remain on the team for the long term. Even Simmons seemed committed to coming back as soon as his issues were taken care of. His teammates were supportive in the media, and it seemed like everything would sort itself out.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Simmons was actually being very uncooperative with the Sixers and that he was refusing to meet with team doctors and psychologists to work through his issues. The Sixers did not like this, and now, they have resorted to fining him again.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Simmons has been fined $360K after missing the last Sixers game. The team is also committed to fining him for any other game missed after that, which means Simmons could stand to lose millions. It’s a sure-fire way to get him to report to practice, however, nothing is guaranteed at this point. Simmons is doing what he wants, and there isn’t much the Sixers can do about it other than fine him or trade him.

The Simmons saga continues to be an ongoing mess, so stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest updates from around the NBA.

Latto’s ‘Soufside’ Video Gives A High-Speed Tour Of Her Hometown

A week after Latto ran roughshod over an impressive LA Leakers freestyle, the Atlanta native returns to give a high-speed tour of her hometown in the patriotic “Soufside” video. Shouting out the streets, businesses, and landmarks she grew up around, Latto delivers a boastful, assertive, and lyrically dextrous verse, name-checking Southlake, Pointe South, Rex Road, Riverdale, Lovejoy, and more as she cruises through Atlanta in a convertible and posts up outside the Southside Discount Mall (we call ’em swap meets in LA) with a massive crew.

The new track marks a return to the trap-inspired, bass-heavy sounds that first helped Latto make her name — y’know, before she changed it — after her last single, “Big Energy,” threw longtime fans for a loop with its pop-friendly beat. While it’s nice when artists can show versatility, rap fans are often skeptical of big stylistic changes, and here, Latto shows a powerful understanding of how to switch lanes while remaining anchored to her signature sounds. This gives her room to evolve without losing touch with her day-one fanbase, which is often the first step on the road to rap royalty. Give her another couple of years, and Latto just might go from “Queen Of Da Souf” to the ruler of the rap game (pun intended).

“Soufside,” along with “Big Energy” and “The Biggest,” are all set to lead up to the rapper’s second full-length studio album, which is due in early 2022.

French Montana And Fivio Foreign Pull Off A High-Altitude Heist In The Video For ‘Panicking’

Seven years ago, French Montana released “Don’t Panic,” warning listeners that “we just getting started.” Now that he’s nearly two decades deep in the game, it appears he’s giving us all the green light to lose it with his new single, aptly titled “Panicking.” It features Brooklyn rapper Fivio Foreign and a hook that boasts that now “we got ’em panicking.”

The song arrived with a tongue-in-cheek video that follows French and Fivey as they pull off a high-altitude heist, shoving a pallet of cash out of the back of a cargo plane and promptly following it down. However, it looks like their parachutes opened a little late; they crash into a fancy spa filled with gorgeous women, declaring “we in a buffet!” After a wardrobe change, we see the boys getting pampered by their new acquaintances wearing silk robes and boasting that they’ll have “your favorite rapper naked on that OnlyFans” (apparently they are assuming that your favorite rapper is either a beautiful woman or selling so poorly they need alternative income — they really should clarify these things). Unfortunately, our boys get caught at the end; as thieves, they should really have been observing Heat rules here: “Don’t let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner.”

“Panicking” is the latest single from French’s upcoming fourth full-length studio album, They Got Amnesia, which drops on November 12 Epic Records/Bad Boy Entertainment. You can pre-order the project here.

Bobby Shmurda Looks To Make A ‘Splash’ With His Hungry New Single

Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda has been steadily working toward a comeback ever since his release from prison earlier this year. In addition to returning to the stage at Rolling Loud — both the Miami and New York editions — he’s released a handful of new singles and guest appearances, including a remix to Eladio Carrion’s “Tata” with J Balvin and Daddy Yankee, the wide-eyed “No Time For Sleep Freestyle,” and now, his latest, the hungry “Splash.”

Over a sinister, piano-backed beat produced by Aloy and Danny Wolf, Bobby spits a tongue-twisting flow, cockily challenging foes with eye-popping taunts. His new, squelched delivery makes some of the bars harder to understand but “Splash” is much more about the vibe, creating the sensation of speeding down a highway so fast the tires of your vehicle leave the ground.

In addition to putting out new music, Bobby has also been on a philanthropic spree. In June, he arranged a “Father’s Day Give Back Brunch,” treating 200 families to a traditional Jamaican meal and giving out free haircuts for attendees. More recently, he sent 2,000 New York City students back to school with brand-new backpacks full of supplies, telling the kids at six schools “you guys are unstoppable.”
