Roc Marciano Links Up With Nicholas Craven On “1000 Mile Stare”

The revival of New York hip-hop and it’s cold sound has been a blessing to eardrums everywhere.

From Dave East and Don Q holding it down in the city to the Griselda team doing its thing out in Buffalo to NYC legends like Fat Joe, Ja Rule and Jadakiss (sorry, Dipset) blasting back onto the scene with incredible Verzuz battles, that distinctive New York sound is back and some weight has been lifted off Nas and Jay-Z’s shoulders.

Roc Marciano is another one of those dudes spitting the realest bars over the toughest beats and on his most recent release, “1000 Mile Stare,” the Long Island native paints a picture of a dude getting through grimy situation after grimy situation with the help of his friends, Smith and Wesson.

“1000 Mile Stare” is produced by Nicholas Craven. Craven, who has made music for Marciano, Ransom, Mach-Hommy and all three Griselda members, flips a soothing soul sample into an ominously warm, lo-fi instrumental and Roc sticks with his customary, close-to-spoken-word flow for the entirety of the record.

Quotable Lyrics
Can never be too reluctant
To shoot the musket
My knuckles is jewel-encrusted
You on f**k sh*t
Made a few adjustments, n****s bit the swag but couldn’t do it justice
It’s quite flattering, I find it embarassing
Y’all stinkin’ up the joint like a quiet flatulent

Check out “1000 Mile Stare” below and let us know what you think in the comments.

Cardi B Explains Why She No Longer Speaks About Politics

Cardi B previously spent a lot of her free time speaking about political matters on social media, combatting Republican ideologies, and using her platform to amplify the voices of her community. While she was one of the loudest celebrity voices on several important topics, the “WAP” rapper has seemingly decided to move away from politics, explaining to her fans on Thursday night why she hasn’t been sharing her thoughts on the state of the country lately.

When a fan remarked that Cardi used to always talk about politics and asked her why she’s been so quiet as of late, the rapper actually responded and said that she’s fed up with all the conservatives in her replies speaking nonsense every time she opens her mouth.

“I was tired of getting bullied by the republicans and also getting bashed by the same people I was standing up for,” she said.

Then, when somebody insulted the rapper and said she sounds “slow” when she talks, Cardi clapped back and said, “It was the only way YOU would of understand me.”

Aside from her move away from politics, Cardi also revealed that she’s not feeling too well, but she informed fans that she doesn’t have COVID-19.

“What’s a very good booster shot I should take for a cold? I feel terrible and I want to be wit my babies already,” she wrote on Friday morning. “I don’t have covid just a cold.”

Hopefully, Cardi feels better soon. Do you want her to keep talking about politics?

Parkland School Shooter Nikolas Cruz Will Plead Guilty: Report

In February of 2018, the deadliest high school shooting in U.S. history occurred at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Over three years after the massacre, it’s been reported that the gunman, Nikolas Cruz, will plead guilty.

The 23-year-old has been charged with 17 counts of first-degree murder (killing 14 students and three staff members), and in a courtroom on Friday, Cruz’s attorney announced that he will plead guilty to all charges.

Complex reports that the former Marjory Stoneman Douglas student is expected to be sentenced to life in prison without parole, although his fate could be as severe as the death penalty.

Cruz also pleads guilty to attacking a guard during his time behind bars, back in November of 2018. The criminal allegedly wrestled the officer to the ground, exchanged punches with him, and attempted to steal his taser. A separate trial will take place for that incident, and Cruz could face an additional 15 years for it.

CNN reports that Cruz’s legal team offered a guilty plea long ago, but only if the death penalty would be taken off the table. Prosecutors rejected that, making it abundantly clear that they were seeking the death penalty.

Earlier this week, the Broward State Attorneys Office shared that “there have been no plea negotiations with the prosecution,” and that if the 23-year-old does plead guilty, “there would still be a penalty phase.”

Before the shooting, Cruz was expelled from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School after a laundry list of incidents occurred. While he attended, he was prohibited from wearing a backpack out of fear that he might conceal a weapon.

Air Jordan 3 “Pine Green” Officially Unveiled: Photos

One of the greatest Air Jordan silhouettes of all time is the Air Jordan 3. This shoe came out all the way back in 1988 and since that time, it has received a whole slew of new offerings. It is easily one of the best shoes ever made, and it is so iconic that just a few years ago, Jordan Brand took it out of the vault. With all of that being said, 2021 has seen a few Jordan 3s make it to the market, and now, we are getting a couple of more before the end of the year.

Among these models is the Air Jordan 3 “Pine Green,” which can be found below. The shoe has a mostly black upper, with some grey elephant print throughout. The black and grey work well together, all while green hits are added to the Jumpman logo, the midsole, and even the insole. It isn’t the flashiest model although it certainly looks great when you add the green highlights.

As for the release date, fans can expect a drop as of October 30th of this year for a price of $190 USD. Let us know if you plan on copping these, in the comments below, and stay tuned to HNHH for more sneaker updates.

Daniel Cormier Addresses Jon Jones’ Recent Arrest

MMA fighters Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones have seemingly always had their share of disputes between one another. Whether it was inside the octagon or outside of it, the two rivals were typically at odds with each other, however, the recently retired Cormier claims to have moved past his feud with Jones, and now looks to speak to him on a “human-to-human” level.

This is all because last month, Jones was arrested in Las Vegas on Domestic Violence charges, after police were notified by Caesars Palace security that a woman had experienced a physical encounter with Jones. According to ESPN, the woman told police that Jones did not physically hit her, but grabbed the back of her head and hair in preventing her from leaving the hotel room that the two were in. However, officers on-scene also observed other facial markings and bruises on the woman, along with traces of blood on the bed and on her clothing. When interviewed by the police, Jones denied ever touching or harming the woman.

The incident has impacted the UFC community, as Jones was barred from his longtime gym indefinitely following his arrest, and Daniel Cormier took to his personal YouTube channel to not only address the serious allegations but also directed words of optimism towards his former rival, in hopes of helping him get his life back together.

Transcribed via Bloody Elbow, Cormier said on his YouTube:

“The scariest part about this is in these moments when people who have issues start to lose the closest allies, they could go one of two ways: One way, they could go to the top and get their shit together. Or, they can actually just plummet. So I think it’s gonna be very important for the people that are closest to Jones to really try to help him decide and figure how he’s gonna go forward. Because this is that slippery slope.”

Cormier continued, “It’s time for wholesale changes. Because now, you’re looking at Winkeljohn’s gone, Jackson’s gone, Malki Kawa’s gone, Abraham Kawa’s gone. All of his greatest allies are starting to fall off, one by one.

“So when you’re left alone, how do you answer? And you start to hear the voices chirping. All the doubt, the questions as to how you ended up there, how do you deal with that?”

“For people that have issues, they don’t normally deal with that very well. So this is a big moment for Jon Jones…You can have all the talent in the world, and we know that Jones does. But if you can’t get those ducks in a row, none of that even matters.”

Known for disliking Jones for years, Cormier now speaks towards him with a level of compassion that shows he’s moved on from their clashing, competitive history. Highlighting that this is an important point in Jones’ life, and that it’s not the time to beat up on the former UFC light heavyweight champion.

“But when a man’s down, you don’t kick him,” Cormier added. “You wait until he’s back on his feet… Right now, he’s the furthest thing from his feet. This is a bad place for Jon Jones, especially as the allies start to drop off.

“We’ll never be friends. But human to human, you gotta get your shit right. And show some remorse. Before you hit that send button on these tweets, you’ve got to think about what you’re saying because it seems as though you tell yourself so many lies that you start to believe them.”

Last year, Jones vacated his UFC light heavyweight championship title he’d held for years, and if he’s indeed able to get back on track, he’d be expected to compete for the UFC heavyweight title, next year.

Soulja Boy Disses NBA YoungBoy & Shoots His Shot At Saweetie

Soulja Boy has done a complete 180-degree turn on YoungBoy Never Broke Again. Just weeks after the “She Make It Clap” rapper named YoungBoy as one of his favorite rappers of all time, he’s turning around on the presently incarcerated artist, claiming he “hates” him because of his fans before telling him to make better music.

Despite the fact that YoungBoy Never Broke Again had a #1 album a few weeks ago, Soulja Boy is asking the rapper to make better music in a series of tweets aimed at the 21-year-old.

“YB fell off,” wrote Big Draco on Twitter after coming for the rapper’s fans the other day. “YB need to make better music. All that crying and whining on the track. Nobody wanna hear that shit.”

When someone told him to stop hating, Soulja replied that YoungBoy’s fans annoy him so much that he started to develop angry feelings toward the rapper.

“Nah fuck his fans made me hate that N***a,” said Soulja. “I don’t like NBA young boy no more. Blame it on his fans.”

He went on to taunt YoungBoy’s fans, reminding them that their favorite rapper doesn’t have a Twitter account right now, so there’s not much a point in defending him. Then, he changed the pace and sent a message to Saweetie.

“What a N***a gotta do to have @Saweetie,” he tweeted.

What do you think about Soulja Boy’s tweets about YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and do you think he might have a chance with Saweetie?
