Dana White Makes Big Money Thanks To Canelo Alvarez Win

Last night was a huge one for combat sports as we had UFC 268, as well as a fight between the likes of Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant. On the UFC side, Kamaru Usman retained his welterweight title with a win against Colby Covington, all while Canelo knocked out Plant in the 11th round of their matchup. Needless to say, if you were watching both events, you ended up getting your money’s worth.

After the UFC card, Dana White faced the media where he got to talk about everything that went down. At one point, White even admitted that he had bet some money on the Alvarez fight and that he won a lot in return as a result.

In a tweet from reporter Arash Markazi, it was revealed that White actually bet a whopping $100K on the fight, and in the end, he came out with $141K. This means White ended up winning $41K which is a pretty decent haul, even if this amount might just be chump change for a high roller like White. As you can see, the UFC President bet on Canelo to win via knockout, which is exactly what happened.

As the saying goes, the rich get richer. Perhaps next time, White will bet even more money on Canelo, as the fighter seems like a sure thing every time he steps in the ring.

Saweetie Says She Has Baby Fever, Nick Cannon Shoots His Shot

When he appeared on the Drink Champs podcast earlier this year, Nick Cannon told N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN that he’s currently celibate. “Imma see if I can make it to 2022” the father of seven shared. From the looks of his Twitter account, he may not last much longer.

On Saturday, November 6th, “1 of 1” rapper Saweetie tweeted, “I want some babies,” and didn’t take long for Cannon to swoop in with a trail of emojis, seemingly shooting his shot with the 28-year-old, who previously dated Quavo of the Migos before an explosive break-up a few months back.

A ninja, a thinking face, a laughing face, and a man with his hands up were among the signs that the comedian sent to his new prospect, who has yet to respond to his antics.

Saweetie may have curved him (for now), but fans didn’t hesitate to give their take on Cannon’s tweets. “Man, I know you lying, man,” a video one person posted says. Another person screenshotted an old post from Demi Lovato that reads, “GET A JOB. STAY AWAY FROM HER.”

Cannon’s seven children come from four baby mamas – Mariah Carey, Alyssa Scott, Brittany Bell, and Abby De La Rosa. In September, we reported that the 41-year-old’s therapist suggested that he try celibacy on for size after fathering four kids in less than a year.

The California native’s episode of Drink Champs was released in early October, but it remains unclear if he’s been participating in No Nut November. You can listen to the full interview below.

Desiigner Plots Revenge On “Get Back”

The past few years of Desiigner’s career have largely centered around his issues with his former label, G.O.O.D Music. He’s aired out his grievances surrounding the Kanye West-led label, especially since it was hindering the release of new music. He was eventually released and has been dropping a slew of new music in anticipation of making a major comeback.

Over the course of the past few months, Desiigner’s shared a bunch of singles like “GLE” and “I Get That” before dropping off his latest 3-song EP, 3 THE HARD WAY. This week, the rapper dropped off his latest single, “Get Back.” Tackling electrifying production with sing-rap inflection, the rapper delivers braggadocious bars detailing his drip and status.

‘SNL’ Emulates Post Malone, Miley Cyrus, And More With Help From Ed Sheeran In Their ‘Dionne Warwick Talk Show’ Sketch

Ed Sheeran stopped by Saturday Night Live for a pair of performances on the late-night show, to celebrate the release of his fourth album =. After he tested positive for coronavirus, many worried that would be unable to perform. Luckily, that was not the case, as he delivered performances of “Shivers” and “Overpass Graffiti.” He also appeared in a sketch for SNL’s edition of The Dionne Warwick Talk Show, with Ego Nwodim as the legendary singer.

The sketch began with Chloe Fineman, who played Miley Cyrus, sitting across from Nwodim. Kieran Culkin, who appeared as Jason Mraz and hosted the episode, and Pete Davidson, who appeared as Post Malone, also sat down on the talk show. But Nwodim’s Warwick seemed to be bored by the guests and said, “I’m sick and tired of interviewing people who aren’t icons.” She then welcomed the real Dionne Warwick onto the show.

“Let me ask you something,” Nwodim says after Warwick takes a seat. “Dionne, why are you perfect?” The 80-year-old singer replied, “My darling, I’m not perfect. I’m just very, very good.” The duo then sang a duet of Warwick’s 1966 track “What The World Needs Now Is Love.”

Warwick thanked SNL for inviting her to the show afterward.

“I had fun at @nbcsnl,” she tweeted. “Thank you to @eggy_boom (ME [laughing emoji]), @Punkiejohnson (as @BrittaniWarrick), and to the writers, cast, and crew. I had a wonderful time with you all.”

You can watch the sketch in the video above.

Travis Scott Faces Backlash For Continuing Astroworld Festival 37 Minutes Into Its Tragic Downfall

Those who attended Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival on Friday expected to have a wild time, but not this wild. As we’ve previously reported, eight of the over 50,000 patrons at the event were killed, and over 300 were injured when a crowd surge took place.

According to HipHopDX, Scott’s set, the penultimate show of the evening, began around 9:04 PM Houston time. By 9:38 PM, emergency personnel had declared the festival a “mass-casualty incident” after responding with approximately 55 units who began performing CPR upon arrival.

While medical personnel did arrive on scene eventually, there have been reports from attendees who said that they spent their night performing CPR on multiple people. Videos have also surfaced online showing a woman and a man rushing one of the camera men, hoping to get his attention so he might stop the show and prevent more deaths from occurring – reports say this happened around 10 PM.

“There is somebody dead in there! There is someone dead,” she can be heard screaming. The woman has since been identified is Seanna Faith, and has shared a heartbreaking account of the trauma she endured while attending Astroworld Festival.

At one point during his set, Scott took notice of an ambulance with its lights on, making its way through the crowd. “What the fuck is that?” he asked, before checking in with audiences by saying, “If everybody good, put a middle finger up to the sky!” A large portion of the audience were not good, but that message obviously didn’t get relayed to the rapper, who launched into a performance of “UPPER ECHELON” that saw two of his friends hop off the stage to crowd surf.

Scott has spoken out about the tragedy that occurred twice – once in a Twitter statement written in his notes app, and again last night, on his Instagram story. “I want to send out prayers to the ones that was lost last night,” the 30-year-old said, rubbing his face in obvious distress.

“We’re actually working right now to identify the families, so we can help a system though this tough time. My fans really mean the world to me, and I always wanna leave them with a positive experience and anytime I can make out anything that’s going on, I stop the show and help them get the help they need, you know? I could just never imagine the severity of the situation.”

The “Ok Alright” artist then shared that he’s fully cooperating with Houston PD and everyone else involved to make things right and help further the investigation. His video has gotten plenty of reaction from fans online, many of whom are expressing outrage.

Capolow Is Enamored By A Mystery Woman On “Nirvana”

Oakland artist Capolow has been coming out with a plethora of dope tracks as of late and he is always giving his fans a multitude of different vibes. The artist is certainly versatile when it comes to his sound, and recently, he came through with a plethora of new songs, including a smoother more low-key joint called “Nirvana.”

With this track, Capolow croons about a mystery woman that he is lusting after. She appears to be some sort of stripper who is simply involved in the profession to pay off her tuition. From being flown out to enjoying the success of her lifestyle, Capolow seems to be enamored by the woman’s energy. It’s a pretty fun track, and you can stream it down below.

Quotable Lyrics:

She’s in class all day
To pay tuition she’s in clubs all night
Used to see her at […] stripping in the Bay
Now she be on the Interstate trying to catch a plane

Summer Walker, Post Malone & Silk Sonic Hold Down The “R&B Season” Playlist

If there’s one album that everyone is gushing over this week, it’s Summer Walker’s Still Over It. The singer has been steadily preparing her sophomore album, and teasing its release, for months. Inevitably, it would hold down several spots on this week’s R&B Season playlist with songs like “No Love” ft SZA and “Unloyal” ft. Ari Lennox.

One of the most anticipated projects this year is Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak’s joint effort as Silk Sonic. The duo has been teasing its release for months now before initially revealing that their album would only drop in 2022. Plans changed, and they’re revving up for a November release. On Friday, they blessed fans with the latest single, “Smokin Out The Window” — a certified banger that claims a spot on the R&B Season playlist this week.

Post Malone’s been on somewhat of a hiatus since the release of Hollywood’s Bleeding but it appears that a new album could be coming soon. In what appears to be the beginning of a rollout, Posty linked up with The Weeknd for their new single, “One Right Now.”

Serpentwithfeet’s newly released project, DEACON’s Grove, a 5-song companion piece to March’s DEACON, arrived on Friday. This week, serpentwithfeet claims two spots on the playlist with “Fellowship (Remix)” and “Amir – Reprise.”

The artist has the melodies on lock and he knows how to captivate his audience with storytelling and some personal anecdotes. On his latest single “Draft Kings,” that is exactly what he delivers to listeners, and then some.

As you will immediately hear throughout the track, the song is about only being able to trust yourself as not everyone will always have your best interests at heart. It is a very inspiring message to convey, and it packaged beautifully into a catchy track that will certainly please his fans, as well as new listeners.

Key Glock Makes His Point Clear On “Understood”

As Memphis continues to dominate the rap game, Key Glock came through in the final quarter with the release of his latest project, Yellow Tape 2. The rapper’s latest body of work follows the release of Dum & Dummer 2 with Young Dolph earlier this year and serves as the sequel to his 2020 project.

The 20 song tracklist boasts plenty of bangers, from the previously released single “Toolie” to the project’s intro, “Something Bout Me.” On “Understood,” Glock asserts himself as a big dawg, in both the streets and the rap game, as he reminds everyone that he’s still one of the realest rappers in the game. “My n***a, I don’t play, I’m from the wish-a-n***a-would/ Multimillionaire n***a, still be in the hood,” he raps over siren-like horns.

“I never planned on even doing a sequel, but it’s more of, like, a statement. That color, it was my great grandmother’s favorite color. Y’all look at it like it’s yellow. I look at it like it’s gold, ‘cause I’m a player. But I just had to keep it going because the first one made so much of a statement, and I had to let ‘em know it’s actually yellow tape,” he told HNHH on the latest episode of On The Come Up about the creation of Yellow Tape 2.

Peep the song below.

Quotable Lyrics
Since a jit, I’ve been with the shit
Yeah, I used to jump the fence, now diamonds jump off my wrist
I came from dimes and nicks, now I got this and this
Yeah, I just hit a lick and I just hit a n***a bitch

Kylie Jenner Comes To Travis Scott’s Defense Over The Astroworld Tragedy

Travis Scott will certainly have a lot to deal with following the tragedy that occurred at his Astroworld Festival. Eight people died and hundreds were injured in the crowd after many suffocated due to the cramped and air-tight conditions in the audience. Many criticized Travis for continuing the show after appearing to witness multiple fans pass out, an accusation that has yet to be proven true or false. Despite this, the rapper’s partner Kylie Jenner came to his defense in a statement regarding the incident.

“Travis and I are broken and devastated,” she wrote. “My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured or affected in any way by yesterday’s events.” She added, “And also for Travis who I know cares deeply for his fans and the Houston community, I want to make it clear we weren’t aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show, and in no world would have continued filming or performing.”

She concluded, “I am sending my deepest condolences to all the families during this difficult time and will be praying for the healing of everyone who has been impacted.”

Kylie’s statement comes after Travis a second message on Saturday night. He said he is “honestly just devastated” at the incident and added, “We’re actually working right now to identify the families so we can help assist them through this tough time.”
