Future Teases “Type S**t” With Metro Boomin Again On IG, Features Still A Mystery

Future and Metro Boomin’s collaborative albums, only known as We Don’t Trust You at press time, are the talk of the rap town right now. Moreover, after months and months of teases and snippets and updates, we’ll finally get this surprise double drop in just a couple more weeks. What’s more is that there are already specific tracks that are gaining a lot of traction, namely one that Metro himself teased titled “Type S**t” that also apparently features Travis Scott and Playboi Carti. Now, on Friday (March 15), Fewtch took to his Instagram Story to give yet another taste of the cut, playing a snippet in which he raps over a classic-sounding trap beat.

However, this is all a bit confusing and mysterious, but in a way that only creates more excitement for whatever we’ll get. For example, Playboi Carti reportedly played this track in a recent clip of him in his Cybertruck, but it’s impossible to tell if it sounds like this new Future snippet, plus the fact that they aren’t playing the same parts. Also, Metro Boomin had tweeted a hint that there won’t be any features on this project… does he mean the first one, presumably We Don’t Trust You, or the second one? As you can see, there are a lot of different ways in which this could play out, and these folks probably know exactly what they’re doing with this secrecy.

Future Joins The “Type S**t” Teasing Hype: Listen

Another theory is that this collab could land on Carti’s next album instead, but Metro and Pluto are too committed to their collaborative series. As such, we’d still bet on this appearing on We Don’t Trust You if it shows up anywhere, and we still wouldn’t complain if it doesn’t. After all, this is anticipated to be one of the best and biggest rap albums of the year, with so many die-hards lined up to experience it. If it doesn’t live up to the hype, maybe fans won’t trust them for a while, either.

Jokes aside, how do you think “Type S**t” is sounding, or is this another track entirely and they’re just playing mind games with us? Are you excited for the “I Serve The Base” duo to reaffirm their greatness? However you may feel, drop your thoughts down in the comments section below. Playboi Carti Teases Metro Boomin, Future, & Travis Scott Track In His Cybertruck

Playboi Carti has been on a pretty nice run as of late. Overall, it all harkens back to about December when he started pushing out singles for his new album. Although he has yet to drop the album, or even announce a release date, he has come through with six tracks. The latest of those tracks arrived on Tuesday night and was called “Ketamine.” Now, it appears as though he is going to be a feature on the brand-new Future and Metro Boomin album which is set to be released on March 22nd.

We know this because last night, Metro Boomin took to Twitter and revealed that he was coming out with a song called “Type Shit.” This new track was going to feature Future, of course, as well as Travis Scott and Carti. Subsequently, Carti took to social media and gave us a snippet of this new track. In the video below, you can see that the song was played through the blown out speakers of a Tesla Cybertruck. Consequently, you couldn’t hear too much of the track. Regardless, we’re sure it’s going to be fire.

Are There Features On Metro Boomin & Future’s ‘We Don’t Trust You’ Album?

Last Friday, March 8, Future and Metro Boomin announced their forthcoming joint double album, We Don’t Trust You, which Uproxx’s Aaron Williams listed among “The Most Anticipated Hip-Hop Albums Of Spring 2024.” The first release dates are March 22 and April 12, and Metro stoked the anticipatory fires on Wednesday, March 13.

Metro Boomin, who was nominated for Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical at the 2024 Grammys and has promised to drop three albums in 2024 “at the very least,” first posted another trailer across his socials alongside the message, “Revenge season starts in 9 days #WeDontTrustYou.” Then, on X (formerly Twitter), Metro posted a few cryptic teasers regarding the We Don’t Trust You tracklist.

Are There Features On Metro Boomin & Future’s We Don’t Trust You Album?

There is not a clear-cut answer to this — yet. It’s up for interpretation, which is probably just as Future and Metro Boomin want it. The first of Metro’s X posts showed him and Future in what appears to be the same desert from the initial We Don’t Trust You trailer. “#nofeatures #wedonttrustyou,” Metro wrote.

So, no features, right? Well, an hour-ish later, Metro posted again: “#TYPESH*T @1future @trvisXX @playboicarti #wedonttrustyou.” That seems to indicate that there will be a single called “Type Sh*t” featuring Playboi Carti and Travis Scott. Carti confirmed his feature on Instagram, as captured by Complex. Carti also posted a video to his Instagram Story showing him (or someone) driving around blasting a snippet of what we can only assume is “Type Sh*t” because Carti wrote atop the video, “@metroboomin @travisscott @future TYPE SH*T.”

Because We Don’t Trust You is a two-album project, it’s still on the board that one of them will be featureless.

Metro Boomin Teases Future, Travis Scott, & Playboi Carti Collab

Metro Boomin and Future are two artists who have always worked extremely well together. Overall, they have combined on numerous occasions for some bangers and some chart-topping hits. Having said that, the two have also been teasing a collaborative album for a very long time. The original title of said album was going to be Metro Pluto. However, it has since been revealed that their first collaborative album will actually be called We Don’t Trust You. It is going to come out on March 22nd, and on April 12th, a second album will be coming out.

Needless to say, these two have been working extremely hard on new music. Fans are curious about how this album is going to sound, and some would very much like to get a teaser track. Well, a teaser track could very well be coming soon. While taking to Twitter, Metro Boomin revealed that there is a song called “Type Shit” on the album and that it features none other than Playboi Carti and Travis Scott. The tweet didn’t go into massive details, but this is something to be excited about.

Metro Boomin & Future Are On Their Way

In a previous tweet, Metro had said there were no features. Of course, this subsequently follow-up had fans questioning the immediate contradiction. Perhaps one album will contain all of the features, and the other will see Future on his own. Only time will tell what these two legendary artists decide. At this rate, fans just want some good music. Metro and Future never miss, so we should be getting a potential classic. One could even argue an album of the year contender is on the horizon.

Future And Metro Boomin Confirmed Their Two Joint Albums With ‘We Don’t Trust You’ Arriving This Month

Future and Metro Boomin previously teased that they would have a joint album on the way. Now, the two rappers have officially announced that they are going to have two new ones in store for fans.

The duo’s first album in the series is titled We Don’t Trust You and will drop later this month on March 22. The second, which is currently still untitled, arrives shortly after that on Friday, April 12.

To build even more anticipation for the two records, Future and Metro Boomin released a trailer. In it, they drive through the desert in luxurious white cars, while a voice (reportedly Prodigy) narrates saying there are “a lot of garbage-ass f*cking rappers out here running around” and that “this game is meant for a select few.” There’s also a light piano that plays under the voiceover, which could very well be an instrumental from one of their upcoming songs.

While this will mark their first full joint album, as long as the second, it is far from their first time working together. Metro Boomin produced for Future’s songs including “Mask Off,” while the latter joined Metro’s Heroes & Villains album in 2022 for more collabs.
