Rick Ross Explains Viral Diving Fail: “My Knees Caught A Flat”

Rick Ross is a man of many talents but apparently, diving isn’t one of them. Despite having an Olympic-size pool in his backyard, the rapper didn’t seem to practice his form before his unfortunate diving attempt over the weekend. Videos emerged from Ross’ lavish pool party this weekend where he tried to impress his guests with an epic dive. Unfortunately, it didn’t pan out the way he hoped as he lost his momentum and took a tumble into his pool. Although the clip was hilarious, many were concerned about Ross’ well-being.

On Monday, Rick Ross finally addressed what went down when he attempted to leap into the pool. He explained in an Instagram Story that he was “feelin’ the energy and support from all the baddies.” However, his tire blew out, he said. “I gave everybody my word that I would do the double-decker slapper. I said that on my story earlier this week. The double-decker slapper. What is that? Who knows,” he explained. “I’ve never heard of it. I made it up on the diving board.”

Rick Ross Says He Leg Gave Out

So what exactly went wrong on the diving board for Rick Ross? The MMG boss explained that he began his “double-decker slapper” with a double bounce but then, his leg gave out on him. “I did a double bounce then, boy… my knee caught a flat. Bow,” he said. As you could expect, Ross’ diving failure led to a number of hilarious memes and gifs that will likely stay on rotation across the timeline for the remainder of the summer.

Afterward, Ross reacted to a few of the memes regarding his latest viral moment and it’s clear he finds it as funny as the rest of us. “This the best sh*t ever. Mothaf*cka said ‘Ross lower body said, I’mma eat it!’” Rozay said in one clip. In another, he read another reaction from a follower. “Rozay tore his ACL, his MCL, his TLC,” he continued, laughing between words. Check out Ross explanation of his hilarious diving failure above and sound off with your thoughts in the comment section below.

Draymond Green Completely Failed At Chugging A Beer During The Match Golf Event

Draymond Green wasn’t playing at The Match but he certainly managed to steal a few headlines at the celebrity golf event. Green was at the Wynn Golf Club in Paradise, Nevada to support Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, who were taking on Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce in the eighth edition of the tournament. Furthermore, Green brought his patented trash talk to the fairway, consistently lobbing insults and barbs at the Chiefs duo.

But oh how the turntables turn as Kelce squared up with the NBA veteran. Presented with a beer bong, Green was asked to shotgun a cold one. This was Green’s chance to show up Kelce, who had chugged a 30-ouncer in under six seconds earlier in the day. Safe to say, Green completely biffed the opportunity.

Green Pulls Off The Most Chug Of All Time

Reviewing the game film, it appears to be a classic skill issue. After puncturing the can, Green immediately loses control of the hose. Subsequently, the weight of the beer pulls the hose away from his mouth, causing it to spill down his front. In future, Green needs to have the beer elevated above his mouth and utilize his puncturing hand to support the hose. Additionally, a very amused Kelce followed Green as he ran around the green. The tight end brushed off any attempt at an excuse for why the impending free agent couldn’t chug like the proud Spartan he claims to be. Did he never crush a beer bucket from Crunchy’s?

Hopefully, Green’s shotgunning inability will not count against him in NBA free agency. Green, who declined his player option with the Warriors, will officially become a free agent at 6pm ET on June 30. While he is widely expected to re-sign with the Warriors, there is a chance that he heads elsewhere. The Kings, Pistons, and Trail Blazers have all been named as potential suitors for Green’s services. As mentioned, he is expected to return to Golden State. However, the unpredictability of the NBA offseason so far as shown us that anything is possible. Follow all the latest sports news here at HotNewHipHop.

21 Savage Shows Off Jump Shot

With the NBA season over, basketball fans must turn to other sources of hoops entertainment. Of course, the WNBA season is in full swing, But for many, no better entertainment can be found than celebrities showing off their surprising basketball skills. Whether that’s because they are surprisingly good or surprisingly bad, both are valid.

There has been something of a renaissance of this genre in recent weeks. Pete Davidson got a surprise hype video after scrimmaging with UNLV. Meanwhile, Key Glock literally got Doe Boy to sprain his ankle when he crossed him over on The Crew League. Now another rapper is showcasing their ball skills.

21 Savage Flexes Impressive Jump Shot

Atlanta rapper 21 Savage is the latest music figure to showcase his hoops. In a video reposted by No Jumper, 21 Savage showed off that he did in fact, have a jump. In the clip, 21 sinks two near-arc threes in a row. Of course note, 21 shoots with a kind of adorable bunny hop jumper. Despite no defense being played, the back-to-back shots are still pretty impressive. Lethal Shooter, who 21 was playing with, then comes close to the camera to hype up the rapper.

“You see what it is. Laying around a lotta y’all. Laying on the couch. A lotta y’all on the phone, we in the gym man,” Lethal says before turning and shooting a jumper on his own. “I see what it is, man. We in the gym. With my man 21. 5 years ago, he was the first rapper to hit me up.” Elsewhere in basketball and rap crossovers, Cardi B received an invitation to LSU after shouting out the women’s national champions in her verse of Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor Again”. However, the song has caused LSU freshman Flau’jae Johnson to call out Latto for not putting her in the video. Follow all the latest sports and music news here at HotNewHipHop.

Shaq Heads To Home Depot After Viral DMs With Worker

Shaq is someone that has a propensity to go viral. Overall, this is mostly due to the fact that he is constantly offering hilarious commentary on Inside The NBA. He has been with TNT for quite some time now, and he has done a great job with Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley. However, the man has many talents beyond just talking about the game of basketball. For instance, he is also a DJ who has played at some massive music festivals. Most recently, he brought his talents to a NASCAR race in Sonoma.

That said, the most recent viral moment involving Shaq has to do with the now infamous Home Depot girl. Essentially, a young woman posted herself working at Home Depot. Moreover, she noted that she would never do OnlyFans and prefers working her 9-5 job. For some reason, this made her go viral on Twitter. Although, things went South as she eventually made some unsavory remarks about sex workers. Shaq subsequently DM’d her to let her know not to get too worked up about it. She then leaked these DMs and the rest is history.

Shaq In Orange And White

As a way to capitalize on this virality, Shaq took to social media where he delivered a hilarious video on Instagram. In the clip above, the former NBA superstar goes right to Home Depot and even puts on the apron. Overall, he seemed to fit right in with the employees as he mingled with them and made jokes. Moreover, he made one family’s day by buying them some appliances. It was an incredible gesture that definitely went a very long way.

While the viral Home Depot girl craze dies down, at least Shaq found a way to have some fun about it. After all, the NBA season is now over, and he has to find something to do. Perhaps more DJ gigs will be on the horizon for him. Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments section below.

Conor McGregor Says Miami Heat Mascot Is Doing “Good”

Game 4 of the 2023 NBA Finals will be remembered for two things. First, there was the result. The Denver Nuggets took a 3-1 series lead on the back of a 13-point victory. Secondly, few will forget how Conor McGregor knocked out the mascot of the Miami Heat while promoting a pain relief spray.

Partway through the third quarter, the UFC veteran came onto the court alongside Burnie, the Heat’s anthropomorphized fireball mascot. Burnie donned novelty boxing gloves before almost immediately being rocked by a 1-2 punch combo from McGregor. As the mascot writhed on the floor, McGregor sprayed him with the pain relief aerosol the stunt had been set up to promote. However, it was later reported that the man inside the mascot costume had been sent to the ER and received pain medication following the incident. McGregor was widely criticized for taking things too far. Furthermore, UFC fighter Belal Muhammad went as far as to claim that “drugs made him think he was in a real fight.”

Conor McGregor Provides Burnie Update

However, things are not as dire as they first appeared, at least according to McGregor. Speaking with the media in New York City, McGregor attempted to settle any doubts, and criticism, about the viral incident in Miami. “The mascot is good. It was a skit, and all is well,” the MMA veteran said. “I spent a lot of time with him afterward, we talked it out, everything is great. It was all part of the show!” Despite McGregor’s assurances, it was likely not the promotion that Tidl Sport Recovery Spray was looking for.

McGregor might want to focus his efforts on the ring to avoid future embarrassment. The 34-year-old fighter is currently serving as a coach on Season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter. However, McGregor’s stable of prospects has so far been no match for Michael Chandler’s stable of more-experienced fighters. The season is expected to end with an as-yet-unannounced bout between McGregor (22-6) and Chandler (23-8). It would be McGregor’s first return to the Octagon since injury sidelined him in 2021. Neither man has a particularly shining record heading into this expected matchup. McGregor is on a two-fight losing streak while Chandler last lost three of his last four. Lil Wayne Stops Podcast To Say Goodnight To His Son: Watch

Lil Wayne has four children. His eldest is musician and reality star Reginae Carter. She recently landed her own show alongside her mother Toya Johnson. His second child, Dwayne III, was born to radio personality Sarah Vinn. Then there was Kameron, a son born in 2009 to Wayne’s long-time on-off partner Lauren London. Finally, there is Neal, who was born two months after Kameron in 2009. Musician Trina was also at one time pregnant with Wayne’s child, but lost the pregnancy due to a miscarriage.

By all accounts, Wayne is a devoted and dedicated father. Despite any beef or legal issues Wayne has run into over the years, his reputation as a father has never been tarnished. This has been reiterated by Reginae and seen through this co-parenting of Kameron with London. And this claim was on full display during a recent podcast appearance that the rapper made.

While appearing on Matt Barnes’ podcast, Wayne abruptly stopped the show. “That’s Kam, he going to sleep,” Wayne said pulling out his phone. “He gotta get his goodnight.” A moment later, Wayne facetimes his son, “Goodnight, boy. I love you,” Wayne says. “Gimme some,” he adds, wiggling his fingers in front of his phone camera. “Is Boss Man asleep?” he asks, referring to Kross, Lauren London’s son with Nipsey Hussle. When Kam says he is, Wayne looks over his shoulder at the large mural of Nipsey. “They got a picture of his dad here. He looks just like him…I’ll take a picture of it and send it him.”

It’s an adorable and heartwarming moment. Furthermore, it shows the love that Wayne also has for Kross, despite the child not being his. Wayne has long been praised for his maturity and attitude when it comes to parenting. This video is perfect proof of that. Get all the latest music news and viral videos here on HotNewHipHop.

Gilbert Arenas Gives Wild Take While Defending Zion Williamson

Zion Williamson has found himself in plenty of hot water this week. After a touching and tasteful gender reveal party alongside his baby momma Ahkeema, Twitter was flooded with a whole load of tea. OnlyFans creator Moriah Mills went on a length tirade, claiming that Williamson was playing the field. Alongside various texts and Snapchat messages, Mills claimed that she and Williamson had hooked up as recently as last week. Furthermore, Mills alleged that Williamson was bankrolling her move to New Orleans so the pair could be closer.

The internet has had a lot of fun roasting the injury-plagued forward. Stephen A. Smith delivered a particularly masterful response to the whole situation. Furthermore, things don’t appear to be getting better for Williamson, as another woman has reportedly come forward with claims about him. Despite all this, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas have come to the defence of the Pelicans star in his own unique way.

Gilbert Arenas Defends Zion

On his show on Thursday night, Arenas presented a passionate, if wild, defense of Williamson’s behavior. “Ja Morant in the strip club paying $50,000. Zion has in-house entertainment from his girl. You can’t get no better than that. He at home watching TV and he like, ‘Babe! Babe! Come on,’” Arenas argued. While we do not endorse asking professionals to work for free, it’s a fantastic response. But Gilberts was also far from done.

He continued. “All the NBA players laughing at the man, when you go to the strip club spending hundreds of thousands and he has it all in the crib. ‘Hey, babe, shake it for daddy real quick.’ Why didn’t I think of that? Hey, ladies, if you all stripping, you all see I got ones on deck. Come on to the crib. I don’t have to leave the house.” It’s a truly hilarious response to the situation, which fails to address the infidelity allegations entirely. However, Arenas provides some interesting financial advice in the vein of “We have strippers at home” per the McDonald’s meme. Overall, this has quickly risen towards the top of the list of responses to this developing story. Stay weird, Gilbert, stay gloriously weird.

TikTok user @adv.with.eli shared a video earlier this week of himself walking down the street and stumbling upon a homeless person viewing the new Lil Durk and J. Cole video. The person was watching the “All My Life” music video on a projector screen in their tent. The TikTok has now gone viral, having almost half-a-million views on the app. Text in the video reads, “Bruh homeless people have projectors here, what the…” The user captioned the TikTok, “I have so many questions… #losangeles #homeless #hollywood.” Lil Durk also shared the video on Instagram. There were mixed reactions in the comments section. One user wrote “A vibe!!!” Another commented, “I don’t even have a projector.” “Its how were all going to live pretty soon with this collapsing economy,” a different user said.

Lil Durk released the song on May 12, along with the accompanying music video. The song was shared ahead of the release of his upcoming album, Almost Healed. The LP will be released on May 26. 21 Savage chimed in on the song recently, sharing his thoughts on J. Cole’s verse. “Cole just went so crazy on that verse wtf,” the rapper wrote on Twitter.

Earlier this week, Durk shared his thoughts on lyrical rap in an interview with Spotify’s RapCaviar. Although he claimed that Cole’s verse on “All My Life” “went crazy,” he went on to admit that he’s not the biggest fan of lyrical rappers. He received some backlash for this on social media, with one commenter saying, “I like Dirk’s music but cmon bro. I don’t understand why my generation doesn’t the core of what hip hop is and what is used to stand for.” Durk went on to say that Cole “smoked [his] ass” in the song, giving a “shout out to J. Cole.”

Best And Worst Of NFL Schedule Announcements

In recent years, the announcement of the NFL schedule has become an event unto itself. Teams relish the opportunity to hype and humor fans about their upcoming season. Furthermore, it’s a chance to energize younger viewers and fans by jumping on the latest trends and memes.

After numerous leaks and teases, the NFL schedule for 2023 was released at 8pm on May 11. Soon after, most teams revealed their individual schedules with pre-recorded videos. However, no all of these videos were made equal and we’re here to break down the best, and the worst, of the league’s 32 schedule announcements.

The Best Of The 2023 Schedule Announcements

KANSAS CITY, MO – APRIL 27: A super fan of the LA Chargers displays his gauntlet during Round One of the 2023 NFL Draft on Thursday April 27, 2023 at Union Station in Kansas City, MO. (Photo by Nick Tre. Smith/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images)

The Chargers won the schedule announcement for the second year in a row. After debuting their reference-filled anime announcement in 2022, the Chargers ran it back with another anime announcement this year. As with 2022, the highlight of 2023 was the absolute shade thrown at one opponent. Last year it was a joke about not making a joke about the Browns. This year, it was putting up information about gambling addiction when revealing a game against the Lions.

Other notable announcements included DeForest Buckner and Grover Stewart “eating the schedule” for the Colts. Meanwhile, the Broncos concluded their trilogy of The Office parodies, featuring Peyton Manning and The Office‘s Angela Kinsey. Elsewhere, the Jets tasked Geogussr god “Rainblot” to uncover their schedule while the 49ers employed the skills of rapper Locksmith.

The Worst Schedule Announcements of 2023

PHILADELPHIA, PA – MAY 05: Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni looks on during Philadelphia Eagles rookie mini training camp on May 5, 2023 at the Novacare Training Complex in Philadelphia, PA. (Photo by Andy Lewis/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images)

Let’s start with the Eagles and Cardinals. Neither team produced a schedule video this year, with both opting to produce a Twitter thread instead. The Eagles compared their opponents to cute dogs while the Cardinals went with Spotify tracks. Very tame, very boring. The Eagles turned it into a video but still, low-effort work.

The Commanders, Lions, and Buccaneers all did videos around the joke of “what if we AI-generated the schedule release” but unfortunately, it appears that AI doesn’t know what comedy is. Meanwhile, the Raiders did a video that looks exactly like the sort of thing that the head office forces its employees to make in order to look “cool”. As for the rest of the league, there were some videos that were fun enough but didn’t exactly wow you. Honorable mention goes to to Saints and Jaguars for making videos with the exact same premise of “here’s the guy who scripts the NFL”. Regardless, what was your favorite video? Are you excited about the NFL season? Let us know in the comments
