The performer shared a new installment of Vevo Footnotes, in which he uncovers fun details about the song, the video’s creation, and other wild facts about the hit. He recalls working alongside Dr. Dre, hints that he might have been high during one of the scenes, and more.

In the video, Eminem describes coming up with the unmistakable chorus during a session with Dr. Dre. Eminem Calls Shooting The Video “Such A Big Deal”

According to Eminem, the music video was the first he had ever filmed on such a large scale. He was in completely new territory, as his first-ever video was done on the cheap. “The video was the first big-budget thing I had ever done,” he explains. “It was such a big deal to experience a soundstage, a full crew, and all the things that come with shooting something at that scale. It was such a huge learning curve to see what a big Hollywood production looked like.”

He also reveals how the video’s concept came to life, noting how Dr. Dre was previously acquainted with the director, Phil Atwell. “They created the vision,” Em says. “It’s hard to imagine the song existing without that video,” he then adds, “They perfectly complement each other.” Atwell later went on to direct various other videos for the rapper, including “Stan,” “The Real Slim Shady,” and more. What do you think of Eminem giving fans a glimpse behind the scenes of his iconic “My Name Is” music video? Which fact surprised you the most? Vevo and BIA Release Performance Video for “FALLBACK”

Screen Shot 2023 08 24 at 9.14.40 PM

Vevo has announced BIA as the next artist in their Ctrl. series with a performance of “FALLBACK” off her new album REALLY HER. “FALLBACK” follows BIA’s previous release Ctrl performance of “MILLIONS.”

Vevo’s Ctrl series highlights the work of cutting-edge musicians making an impact in today’s music scene – both emerging and established. These artists demand attention and Vevo’s Ctrl shines a deserving spotlight. BIA’s performance follows sessions from Rick Ross, Common, Rapsody, Fat Joe, Jeezy, Jadakiss, Fabolous, A$AP Ferg and more.

Multi-platinum hitmaker BIA’s confident flows meet with detailed production, resulting in trap bangers with the occasional R&B hook. Raised in Boston, the rap femme fatale is known for music that possesses both biting wit and a boldly authentic swag. By the close of 2020, she dropped her For Certain EP, armed with the hit single “Whole Lotta Money”, a song with a central message that unlimited currency can be both mental and physical, and eventually landing a remix with Nicki Minaj. The EP reached the Top 10 of Billboard’s Heatseekers Album Charts, with the aforementioned single becoming a sleeper hit that would bring her uncharted success in the years following.

2023 saw BIA join forces with Tones Andi I and Diarra Sylla for “BRING IT ON,” which serves as the official walkout anthem for FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 and plays before all 64 games. In August 2023, she kept the momentum going with her critically-acclaimed new album, REALLY HER, that includes features from J. Cole, Timbaland, Swizz Beatz and Juicy J.

Koffee’s third and final performance in her LIFT series, “Runaway,” from her new album Gifted, was posted today on Vevo, the world’s top music video network. In 2019, Koffee debuted on Vevo as a Vevo DSCVR artist, performing performances of “Toast” and “Raggamuffin.”

THUMBNAIL 2 1

“We’re thrilled to continue 2022’s LIFT program with Koffee,” says Claudia de Wolff, Vice President, C&P, EU. “Her ambition, positivity and creative energy are unmatched, all qualities that are incredibly valuable in such a heavily collaborative project. We were so excited to have the opportunity to work with her and assist in spreading such a positive, uplifting message to her fans, and hope everyone enjoys this beautiful content.”

Vevo and Koffee worked closely together to use projection, light, and set design in a neutral yet elegant venue to draw inspiration from the images and aesthetics of the West Indies. The photograph, which was taken in a townhouse in Central London, was intended to depict Koffee’s energy and positivity while she was surrounded by her band and gospel choir. The films attempted to toy with the audience’s perception of space, demonstrating that the West Indies is more than just a geographical location, but also a vibe, feeling, and power that pervades its people’s spirits.

You can see the three performances below.
