As we round out 2023, this week still held some compelling and hard-hitting hip-hop releases to highlight on our new Fire Emoji playlist update. Sure, the schedule is slowing down a little bit, but never underestimate a heartfelt, important, and gut-wrenching song to make us look back on the year– or past few years, rather. Yet that’s exactly what Juice WRLD, Eminem, and benny blanco provided with their new single, “Lace It.” It’s a cut about addiction, substance abuse, its cyclical horrors, and perseverance that hits right at your core thanks to excellent anecdotal expressions and respectful topical focus. The perspectives here are downright cutting: one from a recovered user and one voice whose talent and contributions to this world were cut tragically short, but still lives on forever.
While the rest of our Fire Emoji playlist isn’t as pivotal message-wise, we still had plenty of quality releases to shout out. Leading the way in that regard is the new grimy yet glistening album from Conway The Machine and Wun Two, Palermo. “Cold Dish,” with assistance from Goosebytheway, is a particularly jazzy and hazy standout, on which the Drumwork boss still maintains his charisma and boisterous demeanor through sharp lines. There’s similar lyrical precision on Russ’ new song, “Said It Freestyle,” which is a relentless series of reflective verses, expertly woven themes, and intriguing flows and wordplay.
Elsewhere on Fire Emoji, we also included the new Central Cee track, “Entrapreneur.” It mixes his shimmery UK drill style and flows with grounded subject matter and a slightly more melancholy beat than usual. Speaking of drill, Lil Mabu is asking Fivio Foreign for a lesson on “TEACH ME HOW TO DRILL.” It’s actually quite the comical cut, as the genre’s controversial white guest trades tropes with one of its leaders right now. No description could do it justice; just look up some context, and marvel in its bizarre nature.
Meanwhile, we’d be remiss not to mention the new 03 Greedo single, “Recess,” which is equally fiery and melodic. Diddy has been hit with his fourth sexual assault allegation as a new lawsuit emerges. The accuser, a 17-year-old girl referred to as Jane Doe, claims that the hip-hop mogul, along with former Bad Boy president Harve Pierre and another unidentified man, trafficked and gang-raped her in 2003. Diddy has since taken to his social media to break his silence, denying the allegations.
Diddy Slammed With 4th Lawsuit
Diddy faces a fourth sexual assault accusation as a new lawsuit comes to light. In the 14-page lawsuit, Jane Doe alleges that she was introduced to the Bad Boy CEO through Harve Pierre, who claimed to be a close friend.
Pierre arranged for Jane Doe to meet Diddy and invited her on a spontaneous trip to New York aboard a private jet.
The lawsuit details how Jane Doe was transported to Diddy’s recording studio and subjected to non-consensual and violent sexual acts by Diddy (also known as Sean Combs) and the unidentified third man. There are photos included as evidence, showing Diddy with the teenage girl, as she was 17 years old, and he was 34 years old at the time.
Another ‘Trigger Warning’
In the legal document, numerous allegations implicate the three men. The lawsuit incorporates a “trigger warning,” akin to the previous filing by R&B singer Casandra Ventura, also known asCassie.
Furthermore, Attorney Douglas H. Wigdor lodged the latest lawsuit on behalf of the teenager. Notably, he had previously represented Cassie in her high-profile lawsuit, which surfaced on Nov. 16.
The lawsuit leveled accusations against Diddy for sexual assault and trafficking. Following the filing of the lawsuit, both parties settled within 24 hours.
Pertaining to the document, it provides graphic details of Combs engaging in non-consensual intercourse with the woman, who did not consent to sexual activity with Combs. She described the incident as everything being a “blur,” and recounted that Combs removed her undergarments and penetrated her from behind with his penis while she was positioned over the sofa.
More Details Revealed
The lawsuit also claims that Diddy and his associates took turns sexually assaulting Jane Doe while she was barely conscious.
According to the filing, Diddy watched the assault from a nearby chair, while the men violated the young girl. After the assault, Jane Doe was left alone in the bathroom, unable to walk, until she regained enough strength to be taken back to the airport and flown back to Michigan.
The filing alleges that Diddy had connections with the Black Mafia Family, a reputed drug trafficking and money laundering operation in Michigan.
‘ENOUGH IS ENOUGH’
Diddy has released a three-sentence statement on Instagram addressing the allegations, where he stated:
“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, and destroy my reputation and my legacy. Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

Clashes between militant groups, territorial disputes, extrajudicial killings by security forces, and tensions with neighboring Rwanda have resulted in a deadly conflict. Over 7 million Congolese citizens have been displaced as a result.
Meanwhile, Sudan is grappling with a genocide in its Darfur region. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF), led by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, have been engaged in a power struggle with Sudanese Armed Forces(SAF) forces loyal to General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.
This internal conflict has claimed the lives of more than 9,000 people and displaced over 7 million Sudanese citizens.

The Game has joined the growing list of artists using their platforms to speak out against the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. The Los Angeles rapper took to his social media, revealing deep concern.
The Game Talks Israel-Palestine Conflict
In a heartfelt Instagram post on Dec. 5, The Game revealed his deep concern for the children caught in the crossfire of the Israel-Palestine conflict. Referring to his children, he admitted that he couldn’t fathom the pain of losing one of them and empathized with the parents in Gaza who were witnessing their children being murdered.
”Some people don’t want to see this …some do want to very much so be aware but can’t stomach the images. I have children. 3 to be exact & I’m sorry to say that if anything happened to 1 of them I don’t know if I could pull it together for the other 2,” he said.
The Game reflected on his upbringing, stating that he was “surrounded by everything that strips a child of harmony.” He also expressed sorrow for the parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents witnessing their children being killed in Gaza.
“I don’t know the exact number of those babies who have perished at this point but last time I checked it was nearing or over 10,000. I can’t say I’m the most religious…I can’t say I’m on any side other than that of these children.”
‘How Are We Allowing This?’
The conflict started on Oct. 7 when Palestinian-led Hamas led an invasion of Israel. Since then, Israel has responded by constantly bombing Palestinians in Gaza, which has resulted in over 16,000 Palestinian deaths, according to Reuters.
The Game would later plead by asking why adults put children in those dangerous and deadly situations.
“How are we allowing this as a human race?? What kind of people…ADULT people in positions of power from any country in this world chilling while these kids are getting blew to pieces?!?!?”
The “How We Do” rapper ended the post by saying:

Kid Cudi took to Instagram on Nov. 5 to express his heartfelt sentiments, stating that he cannot remain silent in the face of such devastation and that as an artist, he feels responsible for giving voice to the unheard.

I can’t imagine the pain people are feeling. “I know some people are gonna disagree with me, but that’s ok. As a Black man, I stand against all forms of oppression. And as an artist, I feel responsible to give a voice to the unheard, and to celebrate the spirit of all people through my work and my presence. It matters to me that my art represents my deepest beliefs about what I think humanity can look like.”
The “Day ‘n’ Nite” rapper also hoped that both nations could have peace and that the loss of lives would stop:
“I’m hopeful we won’t attack each other on the basis of upholding basic human rights. I’ll always encourage peace for everyone – physical peace, mental peace, spiritual peace. No matter the religion or ethnicity, the loss of innocent lives is never acceptable.” Kid Cudi also condemned any violence towards the Jewish people and that Anti-Semitism is “never welcome.”

DJ Envy, co-host of The Breakfast Club, is facing the threat of arrest by a judge in relation to a real estate scam investigation. The judge has issued a subpoena demanding Envy’s compliance, warning that failure to comply may result in his arrest and appearance in bankruptcy court.
DJ Envy Threatened By Judge
DJ Envy, whose real name is Raashaun Casey, has been given until January 8, 2024, to produce all requested documents related to the bankruptcy case of Cesar Humberto Pina’s company, Whairhouse LLC. The company was forced into bankruptcy by creditors in August 2023.

According to court reporter Meghann Cuniff, DJ Envy missed his Nov. 28 deadline for complying with a subpoena seeking communications and documents about Whairhouse and another apartment complex owned by Pina. U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Rosemary Gambardella of Newark, New Jersey, issued the order for compliance and the arrest threat.
Failure To Comply
In her ruling, Judge Gambardella stated that if DJ Envy, Pina, and Pina’s wife, Jennifer Iturralde Pina, fail to comply with the subpoena by January 8, she may hold a hearing to address appropriate sanctions, including issuing an order for arrest to bring the parties to the bankruptcy court.

On Thursday, Oct. 19, Cesar Pina was arrested and charged with wire fraud in the real estate Ponzi scheme investigation. Amid his arrest, he was released on a $1000 bond. He then got onto Instagram Live on Tuesday, Oct. 24, where he opened up on the current alleged Real Estate Scam.

Pina began the livestream by acknowledging the tumultuous past few months. He stated:

It’s so many different rules now … Real Estate Rico. That’s lame. As F**k. “Whenever you touch success, you get all these people that wanna be around you. Everybody wants to be your friend. Everybody wants to unjustly touch you, right? “Oh my gosh, I touched this guy, he’s gonna change my life.’… As soon as shit hits the fan, all of these people who have profited from my success, which there’s more people who have profited from my success than the people who are suing me.”
Pina Defends DJ Envy
Defending DJ Envy, Pina stated that his business partner had no involvement in the lawsuits and criticized those who targeted Envy due to jealousy and dislike. Pina believed that Envy’s success in the hip-hop industry had generated animosity. Pina stated:
“In all these lawsuits, DJ Envy was never in the room with me. DJ Envy has nothing to do with any of these 20 lawsuits of these people who are suing me. It fucking sucks bro. It pisses me off that all these people are bashing DJ Envy. Funk Master Flex, Rick Ross, every single person. What you people don’t understand is that DJ Envy is so successful in hip hop, as far as a DJ, that people just don’t like him.
There was also a point in the live where he denied that iHeartRadio was raided. He stated:
“Then you got these reporters making up that iHeart Radio was raided. My house wasn’t even raided and I’m the target! How the fuck are they gonna raid a radio station? What are they gonna take?”

Cesar Pina then goes to address Tony The Closer, in which he states:
“ But, you got this guy, Tony The Closer, making this narrative and people dont see it… I had one lawsuit. Now I have 20 ever since that guy started bashing me. Josea The Credit Dude, the biggest piece of shit in the world, goes on Tony’s page in May and says ‘Cesar owes me $200,000. He didn’t pay me.’ Yet I have the receipts that I paid you back in November, back in January. Now you go in May and you make up this lie, and you start this whole thing …”

He addressed Leonard N., who sued him before their deal was even concluded, highlighting that DJ Envy and others were never involved in their transaction. Pina recalled:
“I’m suing you because Tony The Closer says you’re scamming people. Im suing you because I saw it on social media.’ This is what people are saying in these complaints. So this guy Leonard N. sues me before his deal is done. He goes on news for it the other day. And I text him back l, which I have the receipts. Bro DJ Envy was never in the same room as you Jennifer, my wife, was never in the room with you. My brother was never in the room with you. Why are you suing them? You know what he text me back? ‘It’s just business.’ “
Pina Calls Out Deceased Client’s Father
Additionally, Pina discussed the significant impact of a deceased client named Jeff, highlighting how Jeff had transformed his life by assisting him in avoiding foreclosure and offering essential financial support. Pina then referred to Jeff, one of his clients before his passing.
The victim’s father also said in the news that Pina owed his son $900,000. Pina responded and stated:
“ I changed that kid Jeff’s life. His father was in foreclosure losing his car wash, losing the dry cleaning place. I changed Jeff’s life….I payed for his property taxes. The first house that he brought, I gave him the down payment! When your son passed away, you texted me and said ‘ If there’s any money left, it goes to me. Don’t give it to his daughter. Don’t give it to his mother.”

For a second time, Pina then went on to emphasize how DJ Envy, his wife nor his brother had any part in those negotiations:
“Again DJ Envy has never been in the room with me in any of these transactions for these 20 lawsuits… all if this falls on me!”

Investors who had bought into the scheme claim that Pina promised quick and substantial returns on their investments through property rehabilitation and flipping.
However, as time passed, the alleged victims found themselves empty-handed and filed lawsuits seeking restitution. It appears that Pina had strategically manipulated unsuspecting investors to generate millions for himself.
Pina, for his part, pleaded not guilty to the fraud charges. He was released on a hefty bond of $1 million and is now under electronic monitoring with restrictions on leaving the state of New Jersey.

In a Cease & Desist letter to SOHH dated August 4th, Attorney Henry Marines, Esq, categorically denied Johnny Marines’ involvement in Flip2DAO and any affiliation with the alleged fraudulent activities of the company. Recent legal allegations against Flip2DAO accuse DJ Envy, Cesar Pina, and Jennifer Pina, of participating in a fraudulent scheme through thereal estate flipping business, Flip2DAO.
DJ Envy maintains in a counter-complaint that he was himself a victim of the Pinas and not a co-defendent. Marines is listed as a “co-founder” of Flip2DAO on the official website along with DJ Envy.
In the strongly worded statement to SOHH, the attorney for Marines called his client’s involvement “fabricated.”
“This information is entirely fabricated and has no basis in truth. Our client has never participated in FLIP 2DAO, nor does he have any affiliation with the company or its activities.”
Internet Archive Evidence Reveals Johnny Marines Flip2DAO Affiliation
Despite the denial, the current website for Flip2DAO still refers to Johnny Marines as a “co-founder” alongside DJ Envy. Additionally, an archived version of Johnny Marines’ official site from September 2022 shows Flip2DAO listed as one of Marines’ companies. The Flip2DAO logo appears to have been removed sometime after November 2022.
This contradiction raises questions about Marines’ involvement level and the veracity of his denial.
Johnny Marines is an American music executive and serial entrepreneur as well as a 3x Billboard LATIN POWER PLAYER according to his Instagram. His official website currently includes a list of his companies including Ikonic Books, a restaurant called Lit21, and a supplement company, SupGrade. Kanye West has listed his Malibu, California home for a reported $53 million through the brokerage of Selling Sunset star Jason Oppenheim.
The decision to sell follows allegations from a former employee citing unsafe working conditions. Ye paid $57 million when he purchased the stunning 4,000 sq. ft. pad back in 2021.

Oppenheim said it’s a “unique home for a unique and discerning buyer,” explaining that its structure is one of its most coveted features, also featuring ocean views in every room. The Netflix star also said the “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” rapper removed the home’s interiors amid his renovations, therefore the asking price reflects the cost of installing new finishes.
The Lawsuit
One of the main reasons for the selling is the former manager of the remodeling project, Tony Saxon, said he signed on in 2021 to serve as full-time security and act as a live-in caretaker for Ye’s home in Malibu, claiming things took a turn after he was employed.
Saxon filed a lawsuit against Ye accusing him of discrimination, violations of the labor code, and retaliation back in September 2023. Saxton also complained about the working conditions and voiced concerns over various safety hazards, including workers unsafely demolishing various parts of the house.

On September 13, a lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior County Court by Kanye West’s former project manager, Tony Saxon. According to Saxon, West insisted on removing all windows and electricity from Ye’s Malibu home, which was already undergoing renovations.
When Saxon refused, West allegedly threatened to consider him an enemy if he did not comply. Saxon also says West threatened to end their friendship and told him he would “see him on TV.” Ultimately, West fired Saxon on November 5, 2021, for not agreeing to his “dangerous” requests.

Saxon also adds that West’s vision for the property involved turning it into a bomb shelter reminiscent of the 1910s. This would have required demolishing custom marble bathrooms, removing custom windows, plumbing, and electricity, and replacing the stairs with slides.
Saxon worked with West for two months and was promised $20,000 per week, but claims he was only paid twice. One payment covered Saxon’s weekly salary, while the other was meant for the project’s budget.
‘Miserable’ Conditions
During his time working with West, Saxon also had to live at the property. He describes the conditions as “miserable” and says that West was unresponsive to his complaints.
Saxon alleges that he was fired three days after complaining about a severe back injury at a team meeting where West had ordered him to remove electricity and windows. Despite the pain he endured, Saxon expresses a desire to reconcile with West, but states that he cannot continue working under such conditions.
He claims that his neck and back have been severely affected:
“Hopefully we can bury the hatchet, but I physically cannot do any more work like that anymore,” Saxon said. “My neck and my back have been destroyed.”

Comanche convinced Rodgers to meet him, promising a payment of $1,000. Once in the car, Rodgers had her hands zip-tied, unaware of her danger.

Comanche said he and Harnden dated more than a year ago and broke up but remained friendly, according to the documents. The report said Comanche told authorities Harden was having problems with Rodgers and claimed the woman was going to “smoke” Harnden over a Rolex watch, and that was when they began their plot to kill her.
The former basketball player informed investigators that their motive for the murder was Harnden’s alleged issues with Rodgers, including a dispute over a Rolex watch. The couple drove Rodgers to a secluded area, where Comanche proceeded to wrap an HDMI cord around her neck.
Upon hearing Rodgers struggle to breathe, Comanche stopped, and Harnden allegedly took over and choked her to death. The pair later dumped Rodgers’ body in Henderson, concealing it with rocks.

Chance Comanche, a former basketball player, and his girlfriend, Sakari Harnden, are facing an open murder charge. The charge is in connection with the kidnapping and killing of a missing woman in Las Vegas.
Police Pursue Murder Charges
Chance Comanche, who formerly played for the NBA G-League’s Stockton Kings, and his girlfriend, Sakari Harnden, were arrested on Dec. 13 and charged with kidnapping Harnden’s friend, Marayna Rodgers.
Rodgers, who was visiting Las Vegas from Washington state, was reported missing on Dec. 7, two days after she was last seen with friends and had arranged to meet with Harnden and Comanche, according to police. Police began pursuing murder charges against the couple after Rodgers’ remains were discovered, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in a news release on Dec. 17.
