Quotable Lyrics:

When they turn the lights low in the club and it’s just a silhouette
And I don’t know why, (Why, why?) why I haven’t left, oh
Everybody’s got a little place (Place) that they own
But what about you and me? We could be a song (We could be a song)
How about we forget about it? Today’s a new day
The club ’bout to shut down, girl—don’t leave me this way, oh, where (Leave me this way, oh, where)

Kendrick Lamar Praised For Dropping Copyright Claims On Creators Discussing His New Songs

With the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef taking up a lot of space in the heads of both rap fans and creators its no wonder a ton of content has spawned from the songs they’ve dropped. Fans have shared their first reactions to some of the cutting disses and also broken down the tracks in incredible detail. One thing that creators sharing the content are probably all too familiar with facing is copyright issues. But Kendrick recently made a move that made it easier for those online to share and discuss his diss tracks.

That move was lifting all of the current copyright claims from videos reacting to any of his new diss tracks and using the audio from them. He didn’t comment directly on the move but the seemingly deliberate gesture allowed tons of fans to make money on the content they shared surrounding the beef and that certainly didn’t go unnoticed. Content creator NoLifeShaq recently thanked Kendrick during a stream for his copyright decision and fans in he replies praised the move. Check out the full video of him thanking the rapper below.

In the song he revealed that he actually planted the viral story Kendrick shared about him having a second hidden child, an 11-year-old daughter. Lyrically he paints Kendrick as being so obsessed with beating him that the “N95” rapper doesn’t even bother to look for any evidence of the claim before including it in a song.

What do you think of Kendrick Lamar lifting copyright claims on his recently released diss tracks so that fans can make money from reacting to them? Do you think he will drop another song about Drake or is the beef wrapped up now? Let us know in the comment section below.

Young Jeezy Accuses Jeannie Mai of Seeking Revenge Over Second Baby Disagreement

Rapper Young Jeezy’s divorce from TV personality Jeannie Mai has taken a dramatic turn as newly released documents shed light on the underlying reasons behind their split. According to reports, Jeezy is alleging that Jeannie’s pursuit of divorce and accusations of abuse stem from her desire to have another child, a wish he reportedly denied.

In documents obtained from the divorce proceedings, Jeezy claims that Jeannie was eager to expand their family and have another child together. However, when he declined her request, Jeezy asserts that Jeannie’s demeanor changed drastically. He alleges that she became desperate and unable to accept his decision.

The situation escalated further when Jeezy informed Jeannie of his intention to file for divorce if their marriage did not improve. In response, Jeezy claims that Jeannie sought assistance from IVF specialists in an attempt to conceive a child through in vitro fertilization, despite his objections.

Jeezy asserts that Jeannie’s actions demonstrate her inability to handle rejection and her determination to pursue her own desires regardless of his wishes. He further alleges that Jeannie has a history of volatile behavior and suggests that she is accustomed to being in control of her relationships.

Additionally, Jeezy expresses frustration over what he perceives as Jeannie’s efforts to limit his parenting time with their young daughter. He claims that he has only been allowed to spend one day and night with their daughter in April, indicating a lack of cooperation from Jeannie in facilitating their co-parenting arrangement.

Canelo Alvarez Gets In Heated Exchange With Oscar De La Hoya

Things got very heated between Canelo Alvarez and Oscar De la Hoya in Vegas. Ahead of Canelo’s boxing match against Jaimie Munguia, the current boxing champ and boxing legend De la Hoya almost came to blows during the press conference. Before Canelo Alvarez’s championship bout, Oscar De La Hoya and Alvarez had to be separated after comments were made that Alvarez did not appreciate. De La Hoya began by throwing direct jabs at Alvarez during his speech at the press conference. Canelo had previously fought under De la Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions organization. Álvarez did not appreciate the barbs and started barking back.

The two boxing icons had previously collaborated for years as fighters and promoters, but their relationship ended badly, and there is still some bad blood between them. Before Canelo’s outburst, De la Hoya said, “There were times my work wasn’t my priority based on my mental health which I neglected for so long but that doesn’t change the fact that Golden Boy built Canelo Alvarez, period.” He doubled down on his assertion, saying, “The company you fought under for decades has always had one name, and it’s mine, so put some f***ing respect on it.”

Canelo Alvarez and Oscar De la Hoya Separated At Oress Conference

Canelo Alvarez shouted out after De la Hoya’s comments saying, “He’s a f***ing asshole. That’s what I say. He’s a f***ing asshole. He tries to get attention for him, not Munguia. He’s a f***ing asshole. He steals [from his] fighters. F***ing p***y. Motherf****r.” The two then had to be separated as Canelo got up from his seat and approached Oscar. Oscar De la Hoya then went back to his seat and sat down as the situation calmed down.

Alvarez is the undisputed super middleweight champion and holds a 60-2-2 record with 39 KOs. he will face off against Jaimie Munguia. Canelo most recently defeated Jermell Charlo in September. Munguía is undefeated and holds a 43-0 record with 34 KOs. It is not going to be an easy fight for Canelo. Munguia is a Golden Boy fighter, making the drama in the ring reflect the drama that has taken place outside of it. Overall, it should be an exciting boxing match.

Bre Tiesi Is Being Sued By Former Employees For Alleged Mistreatment

Three of Bre Tiesi’s former employees have filed a lawsuit against her, claiming the “Selling Sunset” actress “harassed” and caused them to experience “emotional distress.” Lucy Poole, Amanda Bustard, and Kenneth Gomez reportedly filed a lawsuit against their former employer in a Los Angeles court last Thursday. They claim that while Breana Tiesi employed them, they allegedly endured persistent harassment and mistreatment.

According to reports, “Plaintiffs were harassed, discriminated against, and/or retaliated against on the basis of their sex, gender, and/or sexual orientation, and for having repeatedly reported, and demanded cessation of the harassing, discriminatory and retaliatory conduct.” Poole, Gomez, and Bustard state that among other things, they “suffered severe emotional distress, loss of earnings, and loss of employment benefits” after quitting their jobs. The lawsuit looks messy, and the alleged misconduct is a bad look for Tiesi.

11 Albums That Sold Over 1 Million Copies In The First Week

Musicians put in the work to perfect their craft and churn out great music that their teeming fans will love and appreciate. It takes so much to put out a music album, and one of the ways musicians track how much their work is appreciated is through album sales. Music data relating to album sales began in 1991, thanks to SoundScan, now known as Luminate. Since such data came into existence, only 26 albums have sold a million copies in the first week.

Selling a million album copies in the first week is no mean feat. However, some artists have managed to do it, with a few of them even going ahead to do it more than once. Some of the artists that sold a million album copies in the first week include Norah Jones (Feels Like Home), Limp Bizkit (Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water), and Garth Books (Double Live). Others on the prestigious list include Lady Gaga (Born This Way), The Beatles (1), Backstreet Boys (Black & Blue), and Whitney Houston (The Bodyguard). There are more artists on the list, with Taylor Swift and Adele among the most dominant musicians, releasing albums that sold over one million copies in the first week. Here are 11 albums that sold one million copies in their first week.

11. Drake – Views (2016)

Canadian rapper Drake released his fourth studio album, Views, on April 29, 2016. The album was released under three record labels: Cash Money Records, Republic Records, and Young Money Entertainment. In Views, Drake showed his musical diversity by taking influence from West African and West Indian music. He also made his first full foray into Jamaican dancehall music. Other music genres featured in Views include R&B, Afrobeat, pop, and UK funky. Views did remarkably well thanks to its diversified sound as it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Views sold 1.04 million equivalent album units in its first week. Equivalent album units combine streaming and song downloads in addition to traditional album sales. The measurement was introduced in the mid-2010s as a solution to the drop in album sales in the 21st century. Drake’s actual album sales for Views in the first week was 852,000 copies. Besides hitting high equivalent album unit sales, Drake also smashed streaming records with his Views album as it hit a staggering 245 million streams.

Some of the hit songs on the album include “Holy Grail,” “Oceans,” and “Tom Ford.” Besides the one million digital album copies sold to Samsung, Magna Carta Holy Grail sold 528,000 physical copies in its first week and topped the US Billboard 200 chart upon its release. After its release on Mar. 21, 2000, No Strings Attached sold a mindblowing 2,416,000 copies in its first week. NSYNC repeated the feat with their next album, Celebrity, which sold 1,878,000 copies a week after its release on July 24, 2001.

2. Taylor Swift (The Tortured Poets Department, 2024)

Taylor Swift’s knack for singing about her romantic travails in her albums means her teeming fans would always anticipate her next album release.
