Tyreek Hill is just as confused as the rest of us when it comes to Twitter Blue. On Thursday, Twitter rolled out its newest verification system. However, the most significant talking point was many losing their check mark. In order to keep your verification on the site, users must pay a monthly fee. Many athletes and celebrities have long expressed their displeasure with Twitter’s decision to roll out the new verification system. One of the biggest names that were against the idea of Twitter Blue was LeBron James. However, on Thursday morning, it seemed that the Lakers star had decided to pay for the service. But that isn’t the case.

Twitter owner Elon Musk stated on Twitter that he is footing the bill for James’ Twitter Blue verification. Along with paying for other celebrities and athletes. Musk’s announcement confused many in the Twitter world. Including athletes like Hill. Hill tweeted Friday his question of wondering why Musk could pay for James’ verification but not Patrick Mahomes. Tyreek Hill Says He Will 'Call It Quits' After Dolphins Contract Expires

Football fans, you better enjoy Tyreek Hill while you can. The star wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins already has his eyes on the end of his career.

Hill popped up on the Totally Offensive podcast and revealed when this contract is over, he will leave the NFL.

“I’m gonna finish out this contract with the Dolphins, and then I’m gonna call it quits,” Hill said. “I want to go into the business side. I want to do so many things in my life, bro.”

He added, “So I really want to get into like the gaming space. I really want to get huge in that, and that’s kind of what I’m doing right now. I’m using my platform, creating a gaming team, which isn’t launched yet.”

Hill revealed the launch should come at the end of April and he wants to bring content creators and athletes into the fold.

Hill’s four-year, $120 million contract runs through the 2026 season.

Hill was one half of a dominant duo in Kansas City with Patrick Mahomes. Now the speedy receiver calls Miami home. Hill joined the Dolphins last season and continued to be a down-the-field threat. However, Hill now is starting to plan his future without football. The Pro Bowl receiver gave an honest answer about his potential retirement plans.

In a recent interview with Sports Radio 810 WHB, Hill discussed just how long he wanted to go. “I’m going for 10, man,” Hill said. “I’m gonna finish out this contract with the Dolphins and then I’m gonna call it quits. I want to go into the business side. I want to do so many things in my life, bro.” It seems as if Hill wants to do more with his life than play football. Meaning that James will no longer have a verified account on the social platform. Many are taking James’ lead on the matter and declining the subscription. Now it seems that James may have some support in his strike against Twitter Blue. That support comes in the form of a few stars from the NFL world.

Patrick Mahomes, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Tyreek Hill all voiced their support for James in a few funny tweets. One of the fastest players in the NFL is taking his speed to South Beach. According to Adam Schefter, the Kansas City Chiefs have traded Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for a hall of draft capital. The Dolphins will sign Hill to a new four-year deal worth $120 million as part of the trade.

Hill posted a farewell letter to the Chiefs and their fans on Twitter later Wednesday:

Hill is a six-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro and helped the Chiefs win Super Bowl LIV after the 2019 season.

Reports of the Chiefs shopping Hill began Wednesday morning when contract talks between both sides stalled. The Chiefs made an offer that would have made Hill one of the highest-paid wideouts in the NFL, but the superstar elected to explore his options elsewhere, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
