John Travolta Led An Outpouring Of Tributes From The Entertainment World Following The News Of Olivia Newton-John’s Death

Following the tragic news that actress and Grammy award-winning singer Olivia Newton-John has passed away at the age of 73, her Grease co-star and longtime friend John Travolta kicked off an outpouring of social media tributes from the entertainment world.

“My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better,” Travolta wrote on Instagram. “Your impact was incredible. I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!”

Following Travolta’s tribute, more and more of Hollywood took to Twitter to mourn the loss of Newton-John, who was iconic presence for generations.

“I am SO saddened at the news of the passing of Olivia Newton John,” tweeted Marlee Matlin. “I remember being so star struck when I met her at my first Hollywood gathering for Paramount. She was the sweetest and brightest light and I loved getting to know her on “It’s My Party.” RIP dear, sweet Olivia.”

“My heart is broken. Rest now, sweet friend. You were as kind and loving a person as there’s ever been,” Richard Marx wrote. “I’ll miss you every day.”

“‘Grease’ is my #1 movie of all time and made me a lifelong Olivia Newton John fan,” Gabrielle Union tweeted. “Me and my sister watched Xanadu more times than I could count. Sending so much love and prayers to a real gift of a woman and talent.”

“Very sad that lovely, talented, brave Olivia Newton- John has died,” wrote Mia Farrow. “I never got to meet her, but everyone says she was wonderful- always kind.”

Kanye West And Pete Davidson: A Timeline Of Their Mostly One-Sided Beef

Well, after nine months together, Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian have broken up. This is much to the delight of Kanye West, who has identified Davidson as a target ever since he and Kardashian became an item. The two have a history that actually started before all this, though.

Now that the Davidson/Kardashian relationship is no more, now feels like a good time to break down the beef between the rapper and the former Saturday Night Live star. So, let’s get into it.

September 2018: West’s Donald Trump rant on SNL

On the September 29, 2018 episode, in a rant that didn’t make it onto air, West said many things, including, “So many times I talk to a white person and [they] say, ‘How could you like Trump, he’s racist?’ Well, if I was concerned about racism, I would have moved out of America a long time ago.”

The next week, Davidson addressed the rant during “Weekend Update,” saying, “What Kanye said after we went off the air last week was one of the worst, most awkward things I’ve seen here, and I’ve seen Chevy Chase speak to an intern. He added, “Then Kanye said that Democrats broke up Black families with welfare and that slavery’s not real. You know how wrong about politics you need to be for like me to notice? Do you know how annoying that is? Like, Kanye is a genius, but a musical genius. Like Joey Chestnut is a hot dog-eating genius, but I don’t want to hear Joey Chestnut’s opinions about things that aren’t hot dog-related.”

December 2018: Mental health tweets

In December that year, Ye fired off a bunch of tweets about his mental health, which Davidson applauded, writing, “Bravo Kanye West for standing up for yourself and speaking out against mental health. I can’t explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this. We need people like Kanye. No one should ever point fingers at you for your bravery in speaking about mental health. I’m seriously disgusted.”

January 2019: Kid Cudi’s birthday dinner

The two continued to be on good terms in January 2019, when they, Kardashian, Kid Cudi, and Timothée Chalamet celebrated Cudi’s birthday with dinner at Nobu. Davidson later revealed he didn’t know West or Chalamet would be there, saying that March, “Kanye kept ordering the whole entire time. I didn’t know he was coming. And I already put my card down to pay, ’cause I thought it was just me and Cudi, and then Chalamet showed up, and then Kanye showed up, and I was like, ‘F*ck.’ And then I had to book two more gigs in Ohio.”

January 2022: “Eazy”

It took a while for the West/Davidson feud to really pick up following the Nobu dinner. In October, Davidson and Kardashian kissed in an Aladdin-themed SNL sketch, and the two were seen out together and rumored to be dating not long after that. They officially started dating in November 2021, months after Kardashian filed for divorce from Ye that February.

Not long after, Ye had fighting words for Davidson in an unreleased song snippet, saying, “God saved me from the crash / Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass.” Shortly after, West claimed he was blocked from seeing his kids at Kardashian’s home because Davidson was there.

That snippet, by the way, was from “Eazy,” which was released shortly after the snippet. After the song came out, Davidson reportedly hired more security for himself. In March, West shared videos for “Eazy,” which show violence being inflicted upon Davidson. Davidson apparently thought the video was “hysterical.”

February 2022: Instagram beef

In February 2022, West shared an edited version of the Captain America: Civil War poster, which pits West, Drake, Megan Fox, Travis Scott, and Future against Davidson, Kardashian, Cudi, Billie Eilish, and Taylor Swift. This is also around the time Ye started calling Davidson “Skete,” as the caption read, “THE INTERNET HAS STILL NOT FOUND A DECENT PICTURE OF SKETE.”

Later that month, Davidson may have trolled West with an Instagram post before deleting his account. In response to that, Ye wrote, “Ran Skete off the gram Tell your mother I changed your name for life.”

March 2022: “In bed with your wife”

In March, a text conversation between West and Davidson leaked. The most famous takeaway there was Davidson telling West he was “in bed with your wife” and sharing a photo of him in said bed to prove it. West later said, “At this point, it’s going too far. The boyfriend texts me, antagonizing me, bragging about being in bed with my wife. He texts me, talking about bragging about how he’s in bed with my wife. And it’s like, well, who’s watching my children?”

Shortly after, West expressed concern that Davidson was going to get Kardashian “hooked on drugs.”

April 2022: Stand-up

As comedians do, Davidson worked this significant life event into his stand-up act. At Netflix’s comedy festival in April, Davidson made light of Kanye saying his rival has AIDS, saying he had an “AIDS scare” this year before revealing West told him he has it: “I better call my doctor: The guy who made College Dropout thinks I have AIDS.” He also joked that he hopes West “pulls a Mrs. Doubtfire.”

May 2022: Davidson’s SNL farewell

On Davidson’s final episode of SNL in May, he briefly poked fun at his Ye drama, starting, “Hello Colin [Jost] and [Michael] Che and millions of people only watching to see if I bring up Kanye.”

August 2022: Breakup

Things on the Davidson/West front have been mostly quiet over the past few months as Davidson and Kardashian continued to enjoy dating each other. Just a few days ago, though, it was revealed the two had decided to end their relationship after nine months. Naturally, this brought West much joy: This morning (August 8), West celebrated by sharing a fake newspaper headline that read, “Skete Davidson Dead At Age 28” (and has since deleted the post).

That’s where things stand now and given that Davidson and Kardashian are no longer romantically linked, there may not be much reason for this Kanye beef to continue, especially since Davidson isn’t an active social media user and hasn’t responded to most of the jabs Ye has thrown. So, while Pete Davidson is alive and well, Skete Davidson may truly be dead.

Megan Thee Stallion Debuted A New Song On The Latest Episode Of ‘ P-Valley’

The new HBO series Rap Sh!t isn’t the only premium cable TV show to spawn a potential rap hit. Starz series P-Valley apparently got in on the action Sunday night, recruiting its own real-life hitmaker to play a rap star onscreen. Megan Thee Stallion appeared in last night’s second-to-last episode of P-Valley‘s second season as her alter ego, Tina Snow, to perform an original song at the show’s titular strip club, The Pynk. A standout line: “Man, I’m outta here like pussy hair, y’all hoes be rippin’ me off.”

Intriguingly, the song is Meg’s fourth new one of the year after debuting the ferocious “Plan B” at Coachella, following up with its video in June, and swiftly returning with “Pressurelicious” featuring Future just a month later. Of course, her first single of the year, “Sweetest Pie” with Dua Lipa, gave her her highest chart debut even despite creeping out many of her fans with its body-horror-focused music video. Meg’s increased rate of release seemed to suggest that the follow-up to her 2020 debut album Good News was on the way soon — and she recently confirmed as much, declaring the album is finished in an Instagram post. After another post seemed to suggest a title, fans are more eager than ever to see what else Megan has in store.

Megan Thee Stallion is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Kim Kardashian Reportedly Demands Kanye West Take Down His Pete Davidson Breakup Post But He’s Refusing

Following this weekend’s news of Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson’s breakup after a nine-month relationship, Kanye West is in celebration mode: This morning, he shared a fake New York Times headline that reads, “Skete Davidson Dead At Age 28.”

It would seem Kardashian is far from amused.

A “source close to” Kardashian reportedly told The Daily Mail, “Kim won’t stand for this. She is demanding that Kanye take the post down, but he won’t. She has been vigorously defending Pete. She’ll never get back together with Kanye over the way he’s treated the people she loves and respects. She has tried incredibly hard to have a good co-parenting situation for the children. She won’t stand for this type of behavior from him.”

Kardashian has yet to offer a public comment of her own about the post.

This isn’t the first time she has addressed Ye’s behavior in recent months: On a May episode of The Kardashians, she said to her family, “I do recognize the impact that my relationship has had on my family, and I’ve never had the opportunity to just say: I’m sorry, guys.” Later, though, she did share a Father’s Day tribute for West, writing, “Thank you for being the best dad to our babies and loving them the way you do! Happy Father’s Day Ye.”

Kanye West Declares Pete Davidson Dead After His Kim Kardashian Breakup

Fans of celebrity relationships had a loss to mourn a couple days ago, when it was revealed that Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian had broken up after nine months of dating. Now, Kanye West has decided to take the mourning a little more literally with his celebration of the relationship’s end.

On Instagram this morning, Ye shared a fake front page of The New York Times, which features mostly just a giant headline reading, “Skete Davidson Dead At Age 28,” with “Skete” being the nickname West has used with Davidson since the start of his and Kardashian’s romance. Below the headline is a subhead, a jab at Ye’s former collaborator and Davidson’s current friend, Kid Cudi: “Kid Cudi meant to play funeral but fearful of bottle throwers.” That’s a clear reference to Cudi’s recent performance at Rolling Loud, which he ended early after audience members repeatedly threw things at him on stage.

West has made it clear on many occasions that he’s not a fan of Davidson and his relationship with his ex-wife. He perhaps most notably showed that with a video for “Eazy,” in which an animated Davidson gets kidnapped and buried. If that was intended as an intimidation tactic, it didn’t seem to work, as Davidson apparently thought it was pretty funny.

SOURCE LATINO: J Balvin to Deliver World Premiere Performance of “Nivel de Perreo” at 2022 MTV VMA’s

JBalvinGabyDeimeke

J Balvin is ready to take the 2022 MTV VMA’s stage. MTV announced the Colombian superstar will make a return to the stage with the TV/world premiere of “Nivel de Perreo,” with Ryan Castro.

The first time Balvin touched the stage was for the 2019 performance of “Que Pretendes” with Bad Bunny in 2019.

The five-time winner and 13-time nominee for “Best Latin” (for “In Da Getto” with Skrillex) is also vying for his sixth Moon Person, which would make him the most decorated Latin artist in “VMAs” history.

Additional announced performers include Anitta, Marshmello x Khalid and Panic! At The Disco.

This year’s nominations are led by Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar, and Lil Nas X with seven each, followed closely by Doja Cat and Harry Styles with six apiece, and Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd (5 each).

The 2022 “VMAs” will celebrate the biggest names in music on August 28th, 8PM ET/PT, LIVE from New Jersey’s iconic Prudential Center and air across MTV’s worldwide footprint of linear and digital platforms in 170+ countries, reaching 422 million households in nearly 30 different languages.

Through Friday, August 19, 2022, fans can cast their votes online at vote.mtv.com for their favorites in 22 gender-neutral categories, including “Video of the Year,” “Artist of the Year,” “Best Collaboration,” and two brand-new ones, “Best Longform Video” and “Best Metaverse Performance.”

Welp, Pete Davidson And Kim Kardashian Have Broken Up After Nine Months (Though His Tattoos May Last Forever)

Pete Davidson gets around, which may surprise men more than women. But for the last months, he’s been in a committed — and sometimes turbulent — relationship with one person: Kim Kardashian. The SNL vet and socialite/businesswoman began dating last October, though they only made their red carpet debut in May. But now, as per CNN, the two have called it quits.

Sources say the reason was simple: their schedules and locations haven’t always lined up, and the friction was apparently such that they have decided to part ways. They met, appropriately enough, at his workplace. “I did ‘SNL,’ and then when we kissed in the scene, it was just a vibe,” she once revealed on her Hulu show.

Their relationship was a bumpy one, though through no fault of their own. It was usually Kardashian’s ex-husband, Kanye West. Their divorce was finalized this March, and he made a point of repeatedly intruding on their lives, attempting to make Davidson’s life hell. Davidson often did the smart thing, which is to say he did nothing. Occasionally he fought back, albeit in the form of jokes and a bit of trolling.

Davidson has long been a prolific fan of tattoos, some of which he’s gotten removed. What he’ll do with his Kardashian tattoos remains to be seen, though a lot of people had jokes on that matter.

In any case, pour one out for Pete and Kim.

BET and EMMY Award-winning production company Bunim/Murray Productions have unveiled a new dating series called After Happily Ever After. Mr. 106 & Park, Bow Wow, is the host, ending an eight-year absence on the network. Bow Wow will lead a one-of-a-kind dating experience.

In After Happily Ever After, people in long-term relationships that ended in divorce or separation will have their ex-spouses act as a matchmaker for their former partners to help them let go, move on, and find love again. After Happily Ever After, produced by Bunim/Murray Productions and filmed in Kentucky, will make its BET debut this Fall. In the upcoming weeks, further casting information, including a few famous daters, will be made public.

BET details the series as:

On each installment of the eight-episode reality series “After Happily Ever After,” Bow Wow will throw a Singles Party with a new group of potential prospects for the daters. These parties, however, are only attended by the Ex-spouses so that they can determine who might be best suited for their former partner. The Exes will invite one of the prospects to move into the house to date their former spouse for 48 hours. At the end of the two days, the dater will then decide if they will keep the prospect or send them back to the singles pool and have another opportunity to meet someone new. Are Exes the most equipped candidates to help these daters meet their next love? In this environment, will old feelings resurface while watching their former partner fall in love with someone new? Will they realize their Ex is still the one? Or will they find a new love in their after happily ever after?

“We look forward to airing this entertaining dating series that will help singles find love. This show promises to be full of surprises, twists, and turns that will leave viewers asking for more,” said Tiffany Lea Williams, Executive Vice President of BET Unscripted Programming. “We are also thrilled to welcome Bow Wow home to BET and to partner with Bunim/Murray Productions, who has been creating unscripted hits for three decades and always delivers their latest guilty pleasures to viewers. We can’t wait to add After Happily Ever After to our winning portfolio of acclaimed unscripted shows that engage and delight fans across all of our platforms worldwide.”

“We’re thrilled to be collaborating with the BET creative team on this fresh new format that offers a new perspective on the realities of second-chapter dating,” said Bunim/Murray President Julie Pizzi. “This unique series is created for men and women looking for their second act love story while taking into consideration that they are often still entangled with their exes because of their history, their children, and their extended families. On After Happily Ever After, ex-couples who genuinely loved each other can now work together to give their ex another shot at finding a life-long partner.”

After Happily Ever After has Julie Pizzi and Erica Ross serving as executive producers for Bunim/Murray Productions. BET’s executive producers are Angela Aguilera and Tiffany Lea Williams. Andrea Richter will serve as the series showrunner.

We have reached the fourth and final season of Atlanta. The new series created by Donald Glover will arrive with two new episodes on Sept. 15, according to Variety.

Speaking of season 3, Glover, and his brother, Stephen, acknowledged how proud he was of the episodes, especially the ones that strayed from the main characters.

“Those episodes felt, for a lot of people, out of the way we do things. But for me, it’s kind of like we’ve always done stuff like that,” said Steven. “In Season 4, I think there’s some elements of and pieces of that … that maybe people won’t hate as much this time?”
