Woman Says Lawyer Offered Her $200K To Lie About Trey Songz Sexual Assault Case
An exclusive report from TMZ has revealed that a woman has alleged that the attorney for the alleged victim in the sexual assault case against Trey Songz offered her up to $200K to assure Songz’s guilt in the pending case.
Mariah Thielen says that when she met with Jauhara Jeffries’ attorney Ariel Mitchell in Miami in early 2021, Mitchel was carrying a gun and reeked of marijuana, according to court transcripts. Thielen then said that Mitchell offered her between $100K-200K to lie and say that Songz assaulted Jeffries, being that Thielen was present during the night in question. According to Thielen, Mitchell said she was trying to paint Trey as “the next R. Kelly.”
She claims Mitchell’s plan was to go to Songz’s legal time in hopes of landing a monetary settlement that would make her $200K payday even larger.
Thielen reportedly turned the offer dwon and reported the meeting to Songz’s legal team.
Mitchell denies the claims, telling TMZ, “We’re highly confident and certain the court will find the witness committed perjury. Parties are still awaiting the judges’ further instructions on how to proceed given the witness’s inconsistent testimony during the hearing.”
Mitchell’s partner, George Vrabeck, withdrew from the case, stating there was “multiple grounds for withdrawal” that existed under the Florida Rules for Professional Conduct, but Mitchell says that’s only because, “He will be representing me against the parties involved in this disgraceful motion brought by Trey Songz and his representatives.”

Trey Songz’s Sexual Assault Lawsuit Has Been Thrown Out
Trey Songz made many headlines over the last two years for sexual assault and rape allegations. However, MyNewsLA reports that the anonymous accuser filed papers to dismiss the $20 million lawsuit and the judge granted her wish earlier this week.
Initially, the “Slow Motion” artist was accused of assaulting Jane Doe at a Los Angeles house party in 2016. The lawsuit, filed back in February, also mentioned rape, gender violence, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, and false imprisonment.
TMZ reported that a representative for 37-year-old denied the allegations, specifically stating, “Earlier today, the attorney who drafted this suit was credibly accused of trying to pay a woman to falsely accuse Trey. Hours later, that same attorney has filed this suit on behalf of an anonymous client. It isn’t hard to see what’s happening here, and it is a shame for genuine victims of sexual assault.”
Back in April, Songz had a similar experience, evading sexual assault allegations filed back in November 2021.
“The LVMPD has concluded the investigation into the sexual assault allegations against Tremaine Neverson and determined that no criminal charges will be filed,” police shared with TMZ. “If any new evidence comes to light, the case will be reopened for further investigation.”
Trey Songz Rape Accuser Dismisses Suit, Plans to Refile the Complaint
Trey Songz’s sexual assault accuser has dismissed her lawsuit against the singer, but Radar Online reports she is set to refile the complaint with an amendment.
The alleged victim filed the lawsuit in February, citing having intentional infliction of emotional distress, false imprisonment, and sexual assault.
The woman stated to have an occasional sexual relationship with Songz but was anally raped in March 2016. The rape was said to be “so brutal” that immediate emergency medical care was needed. The woman was seeking $20 million in damages.
The Jane Doe claims the singer invited her to a house party and admittedly led her upstairs for consensual sex. Jane Doe claims Trey repeatedly asked her if he could “get that a**” as they headed to the bedroom, to which she says she repeatedly told him “no” and to stop asking.
In the suit, Doe claims that Songz’s attitude changed when they entered the room, claiming he threw her to the ground, ripped her clothes off, and forced himself into her anus without her consent. Doe contends that someone entered the room during the alleged incident but says they quickly left the room, and Songz continued raping her.
Doe claims that her only opportunity to escape was after Songz finished raping her, after which she gathered all her clothes except her underwear and ran outside to call an Uber. Her driver allegedly says she was in distress and took her to the hospital, where she claims a sexual assault exam was performed, and the police were summoned.
In April, Trey Songz was cleared of a sexual assault that allegedly occurred in Las Vegas. The R&B star was accused of sexual misconduct during a celebration of his 37th birthday at the Cosmopolitan hotel in November.
“The LVMPD has concluded the investigation into the sexual assault allegations against Tremaine Neverson and determined that no criminal charges will be filed. If any new evidence comes to light, the case will be reopened for further investigation,” a representative for the Las Vegas Metro PD told TMZ.
In response, Songz’s attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld released a statement: “We are pleased that Trey Songz’ has been cleared of wrongdoing and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department investigation has officially been closed.”

Trey Songz Was Cleared Of Sexual Assault By Las Vegas Police
Though he has been accused of a number of instances of sexual assault, Trey Songz now has one less case to worry about. Las Vegas police closed their investigation into accusations against the singer, determining that “no criminal charges will be filed.” According to TMZ, a representative of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department advised, “If any new evidence comes to light, the case will be reopened for further investigation.”
The R&B star was investigated for an alleged incident at The Cosmopolitan hotel in 2021. He was in Vegas to perform at Drai’s Nightclub and celebrate his 37th birthday this past November. Songz invited a group of women back to his rooms at The Cosmopolitan where the incident allegedly occurred. It’s unclear whether this was the same incident that prompted former UNLV basketball player and model Dylan Gonzalez to call Trey Songz a rapist in a statement earlier this year.
In her statement, she wrote, “With what seems like endlessly recurring news of the alleged sexual assaults committed by Trey Songz, I am forced to repeatedly relive in my mind, and suffer anew, the long-suppressed horror and unbearable PTSD of my rape by his very hands at a well known Las Vegas hotel.” Earlier this year, he was sued by another woman who alleged he also raped her in 2016.
