Twitch Bans Adin Ross & Associates Who Went To Event With Kick Merch

TwitchCon 2023 was a little more contentious than many probably anticipated, as authorities ended up kicking streamer Adin Ross out. For those unaware, he went to the convention wearing merch from his streaming site affiliate Kick, which understandably ruffled some feathers. After all, Kick is one of Twitch’s main competitor when it comes to platforms for live-streaming and similar forms of content creation. As such, it’s no surprise that they weren’t very happy with this very obvious dig on Ross’ behalf, as it took a lot of attention away from the event itself. However, it seems like these antics resulted in stronger consequences when it comes to wearing competing merch at a convention.

Moreover, Adin Ross wasn’t alone in this act, with various other friends and colleagues pulling up to TwitchCon 2023 in Kick shirts. Then, he streamed all of their reactions when they found out that, one by one, Twitch banned them from the platform. This includes access to active subscriptions to other channels, and of course, the big thing is that they can no longer stream on the platform. We doubt that said reprimand had much of an effect, though, as they seem happy to remain on Kick and acted quite unfazed.

Adin Ross & Friends React To Their Twitch Ban For Wearing Kick Shirts

Furthermore, the competition between Twitch and Kick doesn’t have a whole lot of history, considering that Kick is a new player in this space compared to Twitch’s longevity. Still, issues with Twitch prompted many streamers to look elsewhere for a platform, including Adin Ross. That being said, it’s important to remember that there are different reasons as to why people did this, and few of them are created equal. For example, he left the platform after facing bans and running into issues due to his problematic content and controversial views.

Unfortunately, given his popularity and what he gained from this whole exchange, we doubt Ross will slow down in this regard. Also, it’s unclear whether this ban for his associates will result in anything greater than them just getting spiteful revenge. Maybe Kick will become larger in the near future, and this will be an even more contentious affair. On that note, stay posted on HNHH for more news and updates on Adin Ross and the rest of the streaming world.

Travis Scott Supports Kai Cenat In Getting IShowSpeed Unbanned On Twitch

Within huge figures in the streaming world, there’s a lot of solid competition, but more importantly, there’s solidarity. Moreover, Kai Cenat recently expressed his wishes to get IShowSpeed unbanned from the Twitch platform, both on his own stream and to the platform’s CEO in person. A video recently surfaced of Cenat and Speed at the Streamy Awards talking to the executive, and it’s actually gotten a lot of traction. So much so, in fact, that even Travis Scott took to his Instagram Story to voice his support. Well, it’s not an explicit approval of the move. But we doubt that La Flame would highlight this if he didn’t believe in it.

Furthermore, he posted a screenshot of the video in question, which Kai Cenat captioned with “Imma get him unbanned.” Travis Scott added his own caption that could refer to Kai’s energetic attitude or to his unwavering mission: “MOOD 24/7.” For those unaware, both content creators have been taken off the platform in the past, though Cenat’s in the clear now. Speed, on the other hand, currently faces a ban for allegedly propagating sexist comments that violate Twitch guidelines, a set of rules that both violated before.

Travis Scott Shouts Out Kai Cenat & IShowSpeed

Not only that, but during a recent livestream, Kai Cenat even threatened to leave the platform and end his Twitch partnership if Speed wasn’t back on air. It’s a tough line to walk, especially considering the controversial comments that brought this situation up in the first place. Still, given that both fall under a lot of scrutiny these days for their popularity, it’s an understandable camaraderie. Other rap figures came to Cenat’s defense, for example, when his giveaway event in NYC turned into a riot.

“Y’all don’t even charge the KKK When they do that negative s**t. But charge a successful black man for giving back,” NLE Choppa tweeted back when the incident occurred. “The system so designed for us to fail it don’t make sense! [I ain’t] saying what he did what’s done correctly. Of course it’s something he could’ve done better but his intentions were pure that’s all that matter. He wanted to help, give back, inspire, and most importantly spread love.” For more news and updates on Travis Scott, IShowSpeed, and Kai Cenat, stay up to date on HNHH.

Kai Cenat Updates Fans After Twitch Ban

Kai Cenat is the king of Twitch right now. Overall, Cenat has tens of thousands of subscribers on the streaming platform. Although these numbers may not seem huge when compared to YouTube stars, there is some context missing here. Firstly, in order to be subscribed to a Twitch streamer, you must be paying $5 per month for a first-tier sub. Therefore, streamers naturally have lower subscriber numbers. However, Cenat brings in millions of dollars per year thanks to just how many subscribers he has.

Unfortunately, Twitch has been known to ban people. Moreover, there reasoning for these bans is oftentimes unknown. Recently, Kai Cenat was the victim of this as his Twitch account was banned indefinitely on Monday. As it stands, Cenat has no reason for why this happened. However, some speculate it could be because he recently accepted a gift from Kick, which is a new rival streaming platform that has reportedly offered Cenat upwards of $50 million. Twitch has yet to give Cenat a streaming contract, and it has led to some speculation that the streamer would move on.

Kai Cenat Speaks

Following the ban, Cenat was on a live stream with Gervonta Davis. As we previously reported, Ryan Garcia joined this stream to make a large wager. During the Davis-only portion of the stream, Kai Cenat addressed his ban, at least briefly. In the clip above, Cenat simply said, “Everybody’s trying to sign me.” Overall, this should not be surprising given all of his success. Cenat recently won “Streamer Of The Year,” and he remains a big name in entertainment. When Adele is calling into your stream, you know that you have made it in life.

No matter what, this is a very bad look for Twitch. In the past, the platform has been accused of not catering to black creators. Many have said that they do not feel welcome on Twitch, which is certainly cause for concern. Whether or not Kai Cenat is unbanned from the platform, still remains to be seen. Let us know what you think of the situation, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the entertainment world.
