Chris Brown Faces New Lawsuit Over London Nightclub Altercation

R&B superstar Chris Brown finds himself in the legal hot seat yet again. This time, TMZ reported that he’s facing a new lawsuit stemming from a nightclub altercation in London. The lawsuit alleges that Brown was involved in a violent incident that left a man severely injured. Apparently this lead to a hospital stay for the individual. According to TMZ, the plaintiff in this case is Abe Diaw. He claims that Chris Brown assaulted him at the TAPE nightclub in England. According to the lawsuit, the incident took place in February and involved a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila being used as a weapon. Diaw asserts that Brown wielded the tequila bottle like a club, striking him with “crushing blows.” It’s a troubling accusation that adds to the list of legal troubles Brown has faced in recent years.

Furthermore, this latest lawsuit comes in the wake of several other legal challenges for the artist. Notably, there’s a bizarre case concerning a loan from a bank that was allegedly used to purchase two Popeyes Chicken locations. City National Bank filed this lawsuit in California, where Brown resides, alleging that the loan involved multiple individuals, including songwriter The-Dream. The suit states that as of February 17, 2023, there remains a substantial unpaid balance of $2,140,901.74 in principal and interest. Moreover, the bank has been seeking repayment since 2018.

Additionally, Chris Brown is embroiled in a different lawsuit related to a dog attack. Two sisters, Maria and Patricia Avila, who worked as housekeepers at Brown’s residence, claim that one of his dogs attacked them. Maria seeks a staggering $71 million in damages for her injuries, while Patricia is pursuing compensation for “extreme emotional distress.” The alleged incident occurred while they were employed by Brown at a rate of $600 per day. It’s worth noting that Chris Brown’s legal entanglements have been a recurring theme in recent years. However, despite his undeniable talent and popularity in the music industry, these legal challenges continue to cast a shadow over his career.

Sisqo says that he’s more worthy to be on the Mt. Rushmore of R&B than Mario after he recently placed himself on the list next to Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and Beyonce. Sisqo discussed Mario’s picks during an interview with TMZ at LAX.

“Mario’s from Baltimore right?” Sisqo began. “Did he sell more records than me? I don’t know. It’s a numbers game ain’t it? We’ve known Mario since he was younger. He’s always been a fantastic singer. As an artist, you’ve got to have that confidence so more power to you. However, you got to sell more than the dragon coming from Baltimore if you wanna be on the Mt. Rushmore.”

As for Mario’s take, he shared his Mt. Rushmore during a separate conversation with TMZ, earlier this month. “Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, me,” he said at the time. “You know why I say that? Hold on. I grew up listening to so many different types of music — my mother and my grandmother — so I got like two generations of soul music, just great R&B.” After naming Whitney Houston as well, he also remarked that if he could have more than four names, he’d go with Usher. Keefe D Arraigned In Court For Alleged Involvement In Tupac’s Murder: Details

The next chapter in the Tupac murder trial is officially under way. His alleged killer Keefe D was originally due to be arraigned in court two weeks ago but the lawyer he hired failed to show up. It was then rescheduled today where the district attorney expects Keefe to plea guilty.

Earlier this year the investigation into Tupac’s murder was revived when Las Vegas police raided a home in connection to the murder. It quickly became clear that the investigation was centered around Keefe D. Keefe has become notorious for going on various podcasts and spilling details on his role in the murder. Police later confirmed that his continued discussion of the case was one of the primary reasons that the investigation was reopened. That eventually led to Keefe’s arrest in late September, which began his trial for the apparent drive-by shooting. Check out the live stream of the arraignment below.

Keefe D Appearing In Court Today

Some with personal connections to the trial aren’t so happy that it’s been reopened. Tupac’s own brother says that the trial being reopened did nothing but bring back the trauma of the murder. Others like his sister and Jada Pinkett Smith have expressed the opposite opinion. They both claimed that they’re happy justice is finally being served and are happy someone is being held responsible for Pac’s murder. Others like Pac’s former collaborator Napoleon think that the rapper himself wouldn’t even want someone prosecuted for his murder at this point.

Tupac’s name has also been brought up recently by Jada Pinkett Smith. In promotional interviews for her new memoir, she shared details about her relationship with Tupac. That included Jada describing him as her “soulmate” and telling the story of how he once proposed to her while in prison. Jussie Smollett Heads To Rehab For Unspecified Issues

Representatives for Jussie Smollett have told TMZ that the actor has entered rehab to address unspecified issues. “Jussie has had an extremely difficult past few years. He has quietly been working very hard for some time now and we are proud of him for taking these necessary steps,” a statement from his team read. Furthermore, the outlet was told that Smollett is in an outpatient program.

The move comes amid Smollett’s ongoing appeal over the 2021 guilty verdict in his criminal case. Smollett was sentenced to 150 days in prison for fabricating a hate crime. The actor claimed that he was attacked by two masked Trump supporters who physically assaulted him and placed a noose around his neck. However, the men in question testified at Smollett’s trial that he had paid them to help stage the attack. Smollett, who served six days of his sentence, is appealing the verdict. A court date has been set for December following five continues of the appeal.

Additionally, the rehab move likely puts a pause on Smollett’s current film project. As reported earlier this year, Smollett is seemingly set to make his directorial debut. Little is known about The Lost Holiday. However, set photos obtained by TMZ show that Vivica A. Fox is set to star. The two previously worked together on the TV show Empire. Furthermore, Fox has been a vocal supporter of Smollett, even after he was found guilty of the hoax.

If the project makes it to release, it will be Smollett’s first involvement in a motion picture since 2017. Smollett made two on-screen appearances that year – as Ricks in Alien: Covenant and as poet Langston Hughes in the biopic Marshall. However, Smollett has been a persona non grata in Hollywood after he was written out of the final season of Empire following the reveal of his hoax.

Britney Spears Busted For Driving Without A License

Nothing has been easy for Britney Spears recently. As her private and public lives increasingly merge together she’s also had to weather a divorce from husband Sam Asghari. As a result, insiders have claimed that she has very few close allies remaining in her life. One report, in particular, claimed that her lawyer and manager were the only two people left in her inner circle. Much of her family is estranged, though whether or not they deserve to be is very much up for debate at the moment.

The problems piled up for Britney last month when she was pulled over and hit with two tickets. According to TMZ, she was pulled over for speeding on September 10th. She got off with a warning for the speeding but was handed down two citations for driving without her license or proof of insurance with her. Thankfully all she will be responsible for is paying a fee of $1140, which the pop star should be capable of. The biggest controversy surrounding Britney Spears recently has been a series of videos she shared to Instagram. In the clips she shows off her dance moves while wielding a pair of knives that immediately had fans concerned for her wellbeing. While she claimed that the knives were fake, that didn’t stop fans from calling in a wellness check on the singer.

Recently, Britney posted another video that restarted fan concern. While the clip doesn’t contain the knives themselves, it does feature a bandage on Spear’s finger. Many fans jumped to the reasonable conclusion that she hurt herself while trying to make one of the knife videos. Earlier this year, Jamie Foxx suffered from some kind of major health scare while on set. While it wasn’t officially confirmed what happened many speculated in the months since. After an extended absence from the public eye during his recovery period, Foxx is getting back into the swing of things. Last month, cameras spotted him in Cabo enjoying a beach vacation with his girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp. Even though an insider reported that some of Foxx’s friends are concerned he could rush into marriage following his health scare, it’s still nice to see him looking fully healthy.

Britney Spears Fans Think She Hurt Herself After Another New Instagram Post

She’s made it a point to post to her Instagram pretty often which sparked intrigue for a variety of reasons. Some pointed out the purely bizarre nature of some of the videos which often featured Spears dancing in her living room to various songs. Other posts she made featured veiled callouts of various people in her life who have wronged her.

But a few weeks ago she posted multiple videos dancing with a pair of knives, which had fans quickly worried. While Spears claimed that the knives were fake, not all of her followers believed her. According to TMZ, new evidence for fans using that theory has emerged, and quickly faded. Spears posted a new video to Instagram where she was once again dancing, but this time with bandaged fingers. While the knives themselves don’t appear in the video the bandage on her fingers seemed to imply to many fans that she had an accident while trying to record a different video. Keith Sweat Praises Drake After “For All The Dogs” Release

Keith Sweat shared praise for Drake while speaking with TMZ at LAX over the weekend. Following the release of the Toronto rapper’s new album, For All The Dogs, Sweat explained that Drake is winning in all genres.

“My son is a big Drake fan. I mean, I am a fan too. I haven’t heard nothing yet, I heard he’s dropping it. That’s the news right now,” Sweat began. When asked whether Drake takes the R&B crown as well as rap, Sweat added: “You can’t take nothing from him. I’m a fan. He does his thing vocally, musically, and does his rap thing.” He then noted the freedom artists have to experiment with varying genres in today’s generation. “He’s hitting all genres. You gotta give him his flowers. Who put the limitation on who you can be in what area?” Sweat concluded by congratulating Drake on the new album.

Logan Paul Says Dillon Danis Will “Have The Worst Night Of His Life” During Their Fight

Logan Paul has once again spoke out about just how badly he wants to destroy Dillon Danis. “I can’t imagine after all the talk he’s done on X, after all the shit he said, what it’s going to be like to be trapped in a ring with me — he has made a grave error. And assuming he shows up, October 14 will be the worst night of his life,” Paul told TMZ.

However, Paul was far from finished. “He’s a crybaby, legitimately. I’m not just saying this to be like a mean fight companion trying to rile him up. He’s a coward. He’s made this fight entirely about a woman — he chose to pick a fight with a woman. She fought back. He’s whining about it, he’s upset. He’s making excuses left, right and center.” During the same interview, Paul also confirmed that Nina Agdal plans to attend the fight in Manchester, England.

Danis Doubles Down On Steroid Claims

Meanwhile, Danis has spent the last week doubling down on claims that he believes Paul uses steroids. “I love you, Mams, but this is the biggest scam. The reason USADA is effective is because of its random testing during camp. Logan Paul wants testing now because he used during camp, and now he’s having a doctor clean his system, anticipating a test might be coming. And WWE tests regularly? Come on, I don’t even need to comment on that ,” Danis said on X, formerly Twitter. His comments were in response to assurances about testing from promoter Mams Taylor.

It’s the second time this week that Danis has spoken out about scheduled testing for his fight with Paul. “This is nonsense. Another scam by Logan Paul to pretend he’s clean. Setting a specific day and time for a piss test is the easiest to beat in all of sports, especially for someone like him with experience. It’s why the UFC switched to USADA,” Danis tweeted after initial reports that the fighters would be tested before their bout. As Danis has pointed out, there is little point in drug testing if the fighters know when the drug test is coming. The whole point of anti-doping agencies is to perform testing to hold people accountable. Elite athletes such as Olympians must keep detailed logs of their day-to-day activities. This is so that they can be easily found and contacted for a random drug check.

Additionally, many have been noticing Gunna for his impressive weight loss. Some fans used to make fun of the rapper for being overweight. However, he has since taken his health back into his own hands and has sculpted his body into something he is proud of. Having said that, some people are wondering how he was able to do this. After all, losing weight and putting on muscle isn’t easy. You have to be disciplined, which isn’t a skill that everyone possesses these days.

Gunna Gives Us The Keys

Luckily, Gunna was caught in public by TMZ who has asked him directly how he was able to shed the pounds. The artist replied by doing a weightlifting motion. Subsequently, he clarified that he actually just means lifting legs. Simply put, he was trying to say that a lot of sex goes a long way in getting the body you have always wanted. That’s probably not the only thing the artist did. After all, it is all about calories in and out. Contrary to the belief of some, sex doesn’t actually burn that many calories.
