Charles Barkley Says He’s Betting $100k On The Eagles

Charles Barkley says that he’s planning on going to Las Vegas with a dozen of his friends and pulling an all-nighter for the Super Bowl. Additionally, he’s planning on dropping $100,000 on the Philidelphia Eagles to win the game. Barkley discussed his Super Bowl plans during an interview with the Steam Room podcast, earlier this week.

“Me and 12 of my friends go to Vegas every year for the Super Bowl,” Barkley said on the show. “There’s a good chance I’ma be pulling an all-nighter … Sunday into Monday, because we’re playing golf Saturday and Sunday, the Super Bowl starts around 3, 3:30 Pacific Time. So by the time the game ends, I’ll probably gamble all night Sunday and go straight to the airport.”

Charles Barkley’s Plans

From there, Barkley announced his bet and began a chant in support of his squad. “I’ll probably bet $100,000 on the game. Go Eagles,” Barkley exclaimed. “E. A. G. L. E. S. Eagles!” This Sunday won’t be the first time Barkley makes a major Eagles bet in the Super Bowl. When the team defeated the Patriots in 2018, he told Jimmy Kimmel of his winnings: “In Alabama, it’d buy a big condo. In L.A., a small guest house.”

For the game, Jalen Hurts and the Philidelphia Eagles will be taking on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. The game is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 PM, ET on Sunday. During halftime, Rihanna will be making her long-awaited return to performing, after not taking the stage since 2018. Ahead of the show, Coldplay lead singer, Chris Martin, labeled Rihanna the best singer of all time. “You have to be an idiot not to recognize that she’s the best singer of all time,” he told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “I don’t know Rihanna very well, I’m mainly just a fan. We performed with her a few times and it is rarer and rarer for her to just sing, which is what makes it even more special. In a strange way, it shows that she really, really wants to do it. No one can make Rihanna do anything at this point. I’m very biased because I’m such a big Rihanna fan. I mean, I think she could just walk out in sweatpants and sing, and that would be just great.”

Drake & Rihanna Honored By Madame Tussauds With Wax Figures

Madame Tussauds has unveiled new wax figures celebrating both Drake and Rihanna as part of the Impossible Festival music zone for its London location. Drake’s figure captures the rapper’s look from his appearance at the 2021 Wireless Festival in London. Drake was rocking a matching camouflage shirt and pants under a green cropped puffer jacket with white-on-white Air Force 1’s. It also features replica Cartier and Van Cleef jewelry. At that event, he joined Future for a surprise appearance. This is Drake’s second wax figure for Madame Tussauds. He also has one on display at the Las Vegas museum. It captures his “Hot Line Bling” video set and look.

“Drake has shown his love for London on numerous occasions with his surprise appearance at Wireless Festival being just one example of this,” said Madame Tussauds London’s general manager Tim Waters. “With reports that he’s soon to call London home, we wanted to make sure we were able to give him a warm welcome to our streets and show that the love is reciprocated the only way we know how by immortalizing him in our famous attraction.”

As for Rihanna, she was honored with her third figurine at Madame Tussauds New York on Wednesday. It shows off her 2018 Met Gala look, which was inspired by the theme, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion And The Catholic Imagination.” The Maison Margiela outfit features a beaded white mini dress and matching robe. She also rocked a papal bishop’s hat and bejeweled crucifix. The figure is on display in the Glow Gala Room. “Rihanna is sure to make history with her upcoming live show this Sunday so the timing is perfect for us to reveal her new figure exclusively at Madame Tussauds New York where fans can admire and pose with the icon,” said Madame Tussauds New York general manager Joerg Hanel.

The addition of another wax figure for Rihanna at Madame Tussauds comes days ahead of her highly-anticipated Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show performance.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Philidelphia Eagles are set to kick off on Sunday at 6:30 PM, ET. Check out Rihanna’s wax figure at Madame Tussauds below.

Machine Gun Kelly “Electrocuted” During Super Bowl Party Performance: Video

Super Bowl weekend is finally in full swing. Excitement has been running rampant for a number of reasons. Among them are the NFL Championship itself to Rihanna’s long-awaited return to the stage. Of course, countless celebrities have made the trip to Phoenix, Arizona. For the most part, they’ve been busy turning up ahead of Sunday’s main event.

On Friday (February 10), a select few stars kicked things off with incredible performances of their own. Among them is Machine Gun Kelly, who went all out on the Coors Light Bird’s Nest stage. As TMZ notes, famous faces like A-Rod and his latest girlfriend were in attendance. They were rocking out along with the artist to titles from mainstream sellout and beyond.

The event sold out, and the crowd was obviously loving the “Wild Boy” rapper’s show. Knowing MGK, though, he didn’t carry out his performance without some antics. At one point while he was singing, patrons took notice of the 32-year-old’s blonde hair suddenly standing up on his head.

Following the show, Kelly posted the unusual moment on his Instagram Story, offering an explanation of sorts. “Yooo I got [electrocuted] and my hair stood up,” he wrote, however, TMZ notes it simply could have been a prank. The latter seems more likely. The performer wasn’t bothered by the apparent electricity coursing through him, and no EMTs were seen assessing the situation afterward.

It’s shaping up to be a busy weekend for MGK. Aside from his wild two-hour-long performance on Friday night, he also made time to attend Drake’s Super Bowl party. The two have been friends for some time now. In fact, the Canadian almost portrayed “Fake Drake” in the father of one’s Good Mourning film.

Champagne Papi pulled out all the stops for his own event, even recreating his recent performance at New York’s Apollo Theatre. There were plenty of stars in attendance, including Colson Baker and finacée Megan Fox, as well as Cher and her man, AE Edwards. The halftime show will be headlined by none other than Rihanna. It is the first year for the performance to be branded under the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show. DPS is producing the show with Roc Nation. Jesse Collins will executive produce, and Hamish Hamilton will direct. Last year’s star-studded halftime show featured Dr Dre, Kendrick Lamar, and Eminem. It was watched by 120 million people.

Throughout the day, Fox will also play the usual amount of popular, anticipated Super Bowl Commercials, including movie trailers for films like Fast X, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, and Air. Last year, Neilsen estimated that 90& of the United States who had their TVs on during the hours of the Super Bowl were watching the game. The ratings flew to an estimated 112.3 million viewers across all NBC platforms (NBC, Telemundo, and Peacock). The Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20.

Martha Stewart Took Her Relationship With Snoop Dogg One Step Further With An Apparent Tattoo Of Him

Today is a great day for any Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg relationship truthers out there. While the duo has been longtime friends, they’ve also frequently fielded rumors about the boundary of it. And, considering Stewart showed off some apparent new ink of the West Coast rapper’s image, it likely won’t die down anytime soon.

That’s right. Stewart seemingly has a portrait of Snoop Dogg on her arm — and his name right beneath reading “My Dogg,” just in case anyone forgets who he is.

“My Dogg!” Stewart captioned the photo on Instagram. “Thanks for the amazing tattoo @scottcampbell. Forever linked in ink to my favorite @snoopdogg.”

“I got to tattoo a legend onto a legend,” Campbell, the tattoo artist, captioned his own Instagram post. “Thanks @marthastewart48 and @snoopdogg. I can retire now.”

Most of the internet believe it’s simply an elaborate bit, as it is part of a Skechers Super Bowl commercial — but there is a small chance that she actually got inked for the spot.

“Martha Stewart getting a tattoo of Snoop Dog is the last thing I expected to read about today but damn do I love it,” one Twitter user wrote.

H.E.R.’s Super Bowl Plans: “Just Getting Ready For A Rihanna Concert”

If there is anyone who knows the pressure that comes with performing at the Super Bowl, it’s H.E.R. In two days, Rihanna will grace the Super Bowl stage for what’s slated to be an epic halftime performance. The singer has prepared for months, and while details have been kept under wraps, speculation has run rampant. Rihanna revealed she went through 39 revisions of her halftime setlist, and H.E.R. shares which of the hitmaker’s songs she wants to see over all the others.

“They’re going to have to extend the broadcast just a little bit,” the Grammy winner told Zane Lowe for Apple Music 1. “Man, I want to hear ‘Umbrella.’ I want to hear the classics, I want to hear ‘We Found Love,’ I want to hear—man, it’s so many, I don’t even know. I know I want to hear ‘Love on the Brain.’” Rihanna’s halftime set is only 13 minutes, so fans are also hoping to hear 17 years worth of favorites.

In 2021, H.E.R. appeared at the Super Bowl to sing “America The Beautiful.” The stunning rendition was well-received, and while it was an opportunity of a lifetime, the singer is happy she doesn’t have to grace the stage. “Yeah, it’s always nice when you can experience something and not have to perform,” she said. “I presented at the Honors event last night and I was like, ‘Man, this is the easiest thing.’”

“It feels like a mini vacation. It’s nice weather,” H.E.R. added. “I’m enjoying just my time being here. But yeah, it definitely takes the pressure off. It feels like a mini vacation. And to be honest, it feels like I’m just getting ready for a Rihanna concert. No offense to football fans. I love the Super Bowl, I love football, whatever, but I’m going to the Rihanna concert.”

The Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Our favorite celebrities are making million dollar bets—or so the rumor mill says—on both the game itself and Rihanna’s performance. Which RiRi tracks do you want to hear?

Stephen A. Smith Predicts The Super Bowl

Stephen A. Smith and the entire First Take crew have been in Arizona for the Super Bowl. This year’s game is going to be between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. Overall, this promises to be a truly fantastic matchup. The Chiefs come in as the underdogs even though they have the talents of Patrick Mahomes. On the other side, the Eagles have Jalen Hurts, who is beginning to get the superstar treatment. Regardless of who you are rooting for, it is clear that this will be an amazing game.

As for Smith, he has been able to give all sorts of hot takes as it pertains to the big game. Although he is mostly a basketball guy, he definitely knows a lot about football. Additionally, he has spent time in the Philadelphia market, which means he is the perfect person to talk about this Eagles team. On this morning’s episode of First Take, Smith was front and center on the panel. Overall, he was in a jovial mood, and he was ready to give his prediction on whom he believes will hoist the Lombardi trophy.

Stephen A. Makes His Pick

Earlier in the shoe, Stephen A. said that if it is a high-scoring affair, then the Kansas City Chiefs will take it. However, when it comes to his actual prediction of how things will play out, he is taking the Eagles. As you can see in the clip above, the majority of the panel is going with the Eagles as well. They were the best team in the NFL from the jump this year, and now is their time to finish it all off. Whether or not they will be able to overcome Mahomes is a completely different story.

The Super Bowl is set to go down on Sunday, and there is no doubt that this is one of those matchups for the ages. Hopefully, we get a good game, and not the stinker we got last time the Chiefs made the big game. Let us know who you think is going to win, down in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.

Rihanna Will Not Be Paid For Super Bowl Halftime Performance: Here’s Why

This Sunday, Rihanna will be performing during the Super Bowl halftime show. Overall, this promises to be a truly incredible performance for the ages. After all, we are going to get to see RiRi out on center stage again. It has been a very long time since we have seen her out in a concert, and fans are extremely excited about it. Consequently, the artist is looking to put on a truly incredible show that is certainly going to create some sort of conversation.

If you remember, Rihanna was asked to perform at the Super Bowl back in 2019. However, she decided not to do it because she wanted to show support for Colin Kaepernick. At the time, her statement of solidarity what praised by many. Since then, times have changed especially with Jay-Z’s involvement with the league. In just a few days, she will be able to give us the performance of a lifetime, which could subsequently lead to her highly anticipated comeback tour.

Rihanna Paid In Exposure

According to Forbes, one of the more interesting elements at play here is the fact that Rihanna will not be paid for her Super Bowl halftime performance. Instead, she will simply be paid in exposure. If you are wondering why this is the case, well, the answer is actually quite simple. This is how things have always been done. Regardless of how famous of an artist you are, you never get paid for your performance. Instead, you get to have close 200 million sets of eyes on you. For artists like Lady Gaga, this has helped increase record sales tenfold. Overall, as Forbes notes, this boost in following and sales is hard to turn down.

That said, we are certain that Rihanna’s performance will be one to remember. The last couple of halftime shows have been very memorable, and we hope she continues that trend. Let us know what you expect from the artist, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the entertainment world.
