Wack 100 Has Some Advice For Drake Amid His Back-And-Forth With DeMar DeRozan

It seems that any sort of respect between Drake and now-Sacramento Kings wing DeMar DeRozan is gone. The two developed a strong relationship during the latter’s time with the Toronto Raptors. But after appearing at The Pop Out and making a cameo in Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” video, he chose a side in the eyes of many (including Drake’s), even if though he may have meant nothing by it. The all-star spoke pretty confidently that he’s got no ill will toward him despite his moves in supporting K.Dot. But Drake has clearly been feeling some type of way since the rap battle and he let his true emotions get out about it.

While making an appearance during the Raptors home matchup against the Kings this past Saturday, Drizzy joined the broadcast team. It all went down after the local announcers asked about the potential of retiring DeRozan’s jersey as a result of Vince Carter’s now being up in the rafters. Overall, let’s just say the team’s global ambassador is not a fan of the idea. “If you ever put up a DeRozan banner, I’ll go up there and pull it down myself.” DeRozan clapped back later on with a Friday reference on his IG Story. This whole back-and-forth has drawn a lot of reactions from the internet, with people mostly taking both sides.

Wack 100 Tells Drake To “Chill Out” Over DeMar DeRozan

https://twitter.com/Chatnigga101/status/1853116406377697773

Wack 100 is one of those folks who’s also offering up his take, but he’s playing the role of mediator instead. In a recent clip, the talent manager had a word to the wise for Drake, essentially warning him to “chill out.” He brought up multiple times that Compton is the “land of gangbanging,” and that DeRozan was right to side with his city instead of Drake up in Canada. His debaters argued against that latter point, citing that they were boys for years. But Wack continued to urge to them that DeRozan’s going to pick his hometown every time. Furthermore, he believes that the NBA veteran is pretty numb (despite his love for Lamar) to this rap feud and that’s why Drake is the only one pressed as a result.

What are your thoughts on Wack 100’s reaction to Drake and DeMar DeRozan’s ongoing feud? Does the manager make solid points, why or why not? Do you think Drizzy is coming across hurt or does DeRozan? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Wack 100, Drake, and DeMar DeRozan. Kevin Durant Slams “Clown” Stephen A Smith Amid Leadership Criticism

Kevin Durant slammed Stephen A. Smith during an interview with The Athletic published on Sunday night, labeling the ESPN pundit a “clown.” Smith has been critical of Durant over the years, but recent comments about his abilities as a leader have particularly irked the Suns star.

“Yeah, Stephen A., I don’t understand how people even listen to Stephen A.,” he told the outlet. “I’ve been in the league for 18 years, I’ve never seen Stephen A. at a practice, or a film session, or a shoot-around. Addressing the criticism of his leadership specifically, Durant added: “To say that I’m just sitting here, you paint this picture of me coming into the locker room, not talking to my teammates, quiet, not talking to my coaches,” Durant said. “Like, come on, man. It’s just ridiculous.” Former Suns assistant coach Kevin Young as well as the team’s current head coach, Mike Budenholzer, both defended Durant’s leadership to the outlet. “He set the tone for us as an organization, for us as a team. And it’s not just been by leadership. It’s been his voice,” Budenholzer said. “He’s put his arms around young players, he’s put his arm around veterans. He’s put his arm around me. It’s something that’s important to us. I don’t know if he likes it or knows it, but I’m going to keep pushing him to be his best, in all ways, including as a leader.”

The interview comes as the Suns improved to 5-1 with a win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night. Durant posted 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists in that game. The team’s next contest will be against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night. Be on the lookout for further updates on Kevin Durant and Stephen A. Smith on HotNewHipHop.

Since before the release of her 2018 debut album, Ella Mai has maintained an elusive public persona. But after the “Not Another Love Song” singer shared her sophomore album, Heart On My Sleeve, Ella Mai slowly began to disappear from the public’s eye.

Today (November 3), Ella Mai reappeared online to announce her surprise EP, 3, to celebrate her birthday.

“AVAILABLE NOW EVERYWHERE! My 30th birthday gift to you all. 3 songs. November 3rd. one of my favorite numbers I’ve missed you all, three times over ❤,” she wrote in the Instagram post’s caption.

With striking photo of Ella’s profile against an emerald green backdrop, she also revealed some new ink. Behind Ella’s ear you can see her latest tattoo of the number 3. Immediately fans of Ella Mai’s NBA Champion boyfriend and father of her child, Jayson Tatum’s matching body art (viewable here).

After listening to the project, supporters believe 3 is a lover letter to Tatum. On the track “Little Things,” Ella sings: “Be right hеre when you’re wakin’ up / Breakfast on the table, know you like / Eggs, and they’re all scrambled up / Pancakes, bacon, OJ on the side / Packed your bag with extra clothes, your toothbrush in the Louis tote / Love notes for when you on the road / Cleaned your watch and Cuban links / Silk pillowcase for you to take / Boy, you deserve the little things.”

The line hints at Tatum’s demanding sports schedule with the Boston Celtics. This heartfelt fluttering can also be heard on “One Of Those,” where Ella sings: “Girl you better get you one of these / Wake up in the morning, he got flowers at my feet / Get one of these, yeah, I don’t wanna leave / Dancing ’round him got me like a puppet / I’ma let him pull my strings / Get you one of these / Kinda man that get you what you want, then he gon’ give you want you need / I’m just saying get you one of these.”

DeMar DeRozan Trolls Drake After The Rapper And His OVO Crew’s Suspenseful Courtside Stare Down

You may have moved past Kendrick Lamar’s chart-topping Drake diss, “Not Like Like Us.” But Drake surely hasn’t. After Akademiks dispelled rumors of a reconciliation between Drake and Future, the “First Person Shooter” rapper attempted to flex his star power against another foe.

Yesterday (November 2), Drake attended the Toronto Raptors and the Sacramento Kings game at Scotiabank Arena. Instead of focusing on the friendly matchup, Drake and his longtime friend Nessel “Chubbs” Beezer decided to laser in on former Raptors star DeMar DeRozan (now the the Kings). Throughout the game, Drake could be heard hurling remarks at DeRozan (supposedly including “p*ssy” and “goof“), and it doesn’t seem to be sports related tension.

At one point, Drake and Chubbs (both courtside) can be seen standing up and staring down DeRozan (viewable here). Well, just as viewers at home caught the suspenseful moment, so did DeRozan. Over on Instagram, DeMar DeRozan decided to troll Drake back by posting a video clip from Friday (viewable here).

In the scene, starring Ice Cube (playing Craig) and Chris Tucker (playing Smokey), Tucker’s character attempts to regain tough points after being punked by the neighborhood bully, Deebo (played by the late Tommy Lister). “I got mind control over Deebo,” says Tucker. “He be like shut the f*ck up. I be quiet. But when he leaves I be talking again.”

This comes after Drake vowed to “pull down” DeRozan’s number should the Raptors ever decide to retire it after Vincent Carter’s number retirement celebration.

DeRozan claimed that he and Drake were “still family” even after he appeared in the “Not Like Us” music video. However, it appears Drake doesn’t feel that same.

DeMar DeRozan Issues Unbothered Response To Drake’s Raptors Game Dig

Yesterday, Drake threw some serious shade at DeMar DeRozan at the Toronto Raptors’ game against the Sacramento Kings. He came out for Vince Carter’s jersey retirement ceremony, and when asked what he thought about the idea of DeRozan being honored on the team’s broadcast, he shut it down.

“If you ever put a DeRozan banner up, I’ll go up there and pull it down myself,” he remarked. Drake also said it’s “unfortunate we’re playing this goof tonight” in reference to DeRozan, and was spotted staring him down throughout the evening. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like DeRozan was too bothered by all of this. After the game, he brushed off Drake’s banner comment when asked about it. “He’s going to have a long way to climb to take it down, so tell him good luck,” he said.

DeMar DeRozan Tells Drake, “Good Luck”

It remains unconfirmed exactly what prompted Drake to start taking swipes at DeRozan. Social media users, however, have some theories. DeRozan, for one, appeared at Kendrick Lamar’s “Pop Out” show and in his “Not Like Us” music video. It’s possible that Drizzy saw this as a breach of loyalty, even though DeRozan previously claimed he still considers the rapper a friend.

“Drake’s still my man, still my man, none of it changed,” DeRozan told The Sacramento Bee in July. “It’s so easy to get overlooked and look at it for what it looks like, but at the end of the day it’s music, entertainment. Two of the biggest rappers in the world went at it from a competitive standpoint and they battled it out. That’s what you want to see as a fan: Kobe (Bryant) playing (Michael) Jordan 1-on-1 and see who wins, see the trash talking, and whoever wins out of that, you’re still going to have the debate, so that’s all that is.” What do you think of DeMar DeRozan’s response to Drake dissing him at the Raptors game yesterday? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Joel Embiid Allegedly Shoves Philadelphia Inquirer Reporter Who Brought Up His Late Brother

Joel Embiid allegedly got into a physical altercation with Philadelphia Inquirer reporter Marcus Hayes after the Philadelphia 76ers’ loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Embiid became upset with Hayes and an argument ensued which eventually turned physical. The NBA is reportedly investigating the incident.

Hayes published a column for the Inquirer, criticizing Embiid for his work ethic while referencing his son and late brother. “Joel Embiid consistently points to the birth of his son, Arthur, as the major inflection point in his basketball career. He often says that he wants to be great to leave a legacy for the boy named after his little brother, who tragically died in an automobile accident when Embiid was in his first year as a 76er. Well, in order to be great at your job, you first have to show up for work. Embiid has been great at just the opposite,” Hayes wrote in the controversial piece.

Prior to the incident, Embiid fired back at his critics bringing up his work ethic and targeted Hayes specifically. “When I see people say ‘he does not wanna play,’ I’ve done way too much for this city, putting myself at risk for people to be saying that,” Embiid said on Friday. “I do think this is bulls***. Like that dude, he’s not here, Marcus, I’ve done way too much for this f***ing city to be treated like this. Done way too f***ing much. I wish I was as lucky as the other ones, but that does not mean I’m not doing whatever it takes to be out there, which I’m gonna be.”

Footage of the incident has yet to surfaced but check out Charania’s report below. With the loss, the 76ers fell to 1-4 on the season. Be on the lookout for further updates on Joel Embiid on HotNewHipHop.

DeMar DeRozan Had A Perfect Response To Drake Saying He’d Pull Down DeRozan’s Banner If They Retired It

It was a night for celebration in Toronto, as the Raptors retired the iconic number 15 worn by Vince Carter. And to put a cherry on top of what was a joyous evening in the 6, the Raptors were able to pick up a thrilling, 131-128 win over the Sacramento Kings in overtime, thanks to a 31-point outing by RJ Barrett.

Playing the Kings meant that another Toronto legend, DeMar DeRozan, was back in town. Drake, unsurprisingly, was also there, which set up a pretty funny back-and-forth. While sitting in the broadcast booth, Drake expressed that he does not want DeRozan to get a banner, saying “If you ever put a DeRozan banner up, I’ll go up there and pull it down myself.”

Now, it’s unclear if this is serious or a joke, but it’s worth remembering that DeRozan was in the music video for Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” and appeared on stage at The Pop Out while Lamar performed the song at the height of his feud with Drake earlier this year. And after the game, DeRozan got asked about Drake’s comments and had a simple response before getting up and walking away.

“He gonna have a long way to climb to take it down,” DeRozan said. “So, tell him good luck.”

It’s worth mentioning that when DeRozan was asked about the Drake-Kendrick feud, he said that “Drake’s still my man, still my man, none of it changed.” We’ll be sure to let you know if all of this tonight was in good fun or if things have changed between these two.

Drake Disses “Goof” DeMar DeRozan During Toronto Raptors Game

Drake took aim at DeMar DeRozan during the Toronto Raptors’ game against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night. He had been in attendance at the game to watch the jersey retirement ceremony for the legendary Vince Carter when he hopped on the team’s broadcast. When propositioned with the idea of the team honoring DeRozan, who played with them from 2009–2018, Drake shot down the idea.

While reflecting on the honoring of Carter, Drake remarked that it’s “unfortunate we’re playing this goof tonight,” while referring to DeRozan. “If you ever put up a DeRozan banner, I’ll go up there and pull it down myself,” he further joked. The comments come after DeRozan appeared in the music video for Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” and attended his Pop Out concert in Los Angeles.

DeRozan previously discussed his feelings about Drake during an interview with the Sacramento Bee over the summer. He was far kinder to the Toronto rapper at the time. “Drake’s still my man, still my man, none of it changed,” DeRozan told the newspaper. “It’s so easy to get overlooked and look at it for what it looks like, but at the end of the day it’s music, entertainment. Two of the biggest rappers in the world went at it from a competitive standpoint, and they battled it out. That’s what you want to see as a fan: Kobe playing Jordan 1-on-1 and see who wins, see the trash talking, and whoever wins out of that, you’re still going to have the debate, so that’s all that is.”
