Kid Cudi To Star In And Produce New Zombie Movie

Kid Cudi’s burgeoning acting career just keeps on growing. The multi-hyphenate has been appearing in quite a few movies recently. This should come as no surprise to Cudi fans as he recently discussed wanting to put music on the back burner for a while. In an interview with Zane Lowe at Apple Music, he said, “I think, I want to be done with it. I think, closing the chapter on Kid Cudi.” Of course, just months later, the actor posted on Twitter about an apparent new album. “Ur not prepared man,” he said. “We’ve reached a new level.” So, while new music seems to be coming in the very near future, Kid Cudi is not letting up on acting in the meantime.

Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, better known by his stage name Kid Cudi, is a rapper and actor from Cleveland, Ohio. The overwhelming success of his 2008 single, “Day ‘n’ Nite,” was the catalyst for his rise to fame. The song was featured on his debut album, Man On the Moon: The End of the Day. It has since gone 5x platinum. Since then, he has released six studio albums, many of which explore topics related to mental health. He has also made a number of noteworthy appearances in film and TV, including in Ti West’s hit horror film X and the HBO series How to Make It in America. Cudi’s distinctive style and reflective songs have brought him critical praise and a devoted following.

Kid Cudi’s new film will be called Hell Naw. Cudi will produce the film through his production company, Mad Solar. Sam Levinson, of Euphoria fame, will be producing alongside the actor. The two previously worked as producers together on Ti West’s X and Pearl, the former of which Cudi also starred in. The Lucas Brothers are writing the new film. They made their writing debut in 2021 with Judas and The Black Messiah. “Sam, The Lucas Bros and myself have really crafted a tale we feel everyone who’s a fan of horror and comedy will enjoy,” Cudi said of the project. “You will laugh, oh yes you will, but the horror aspect of this movie will really be something to see. You will be shook. I promise.”

In the announcement of the film Cudi revealed that the film will “f*ck you up.” “This movie has been 5 years in the making. I am telling the world now, this film will fuck you up in all the best ways. I have been a horror fan since I was 7 years old,” he said. “The first horror movies I ever saw were Night of the Living Dead and Evil Dead. And from that point on, I was hooked on the feeling of being frightened.” Cudi clearly does love horror movies, at least based on his involvement with X and Pearl. What this means for the future of his music career is unclear. So, no matter what path he takes, Cudi will likely find future success. What do you think of the actor’s new movie?
