Lil Wayne’s Handwritten Song Lyrics Go On Sale For $5 Million After Legal Battle

Back in 2019, autograph dealers Moments In Time listed one of Lil Wayne’s old notebooks on sale for $250K. Reportedly, it contains lyrics to tracks like “I Feel” and “We On Fire,” likely written when Weezy was still a teenager. According to the man who discovered the notebook, he found it in an old car previously owned by Cash Money Records and decided to store it in his garage.

When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, however, it was nearly destroyed. He returned home to find that it had survived with minimal damage and decided to sell it to anyone willing to part ways with that kind of cash. Lil Wayne eventually caught wind of the listing, and his attorneys sent a warning letter to the man trying to sell the notebook, claiming that the rapper wanted it back.

Moments In Time Defends Massive Price Increase

The man refused, insisting that Wayne would have to buy it from him, as he had “crystal clear title.” Weezy didn’t respond after that, prompting the court to rule in the seller’s favor. Now, after all the fuss, the same notebook is on sale for a whopping $5 million. According to TMZ, Moments In Time justified the massive price increase by noting that Lil Wayne is the GOAT, making his handwritten lyrics from the 90s extremely valuable.

It’d be tough to argue against that, though it’s unclear how the artist feels about someone else cashing in on his original work. What do you think of Lil Wayne’s old lyric notebook going up for sale for $5 million? What about him previously trying to get the notebook back? Lil Wayne Crafts Clever Reply To Joe Biden’s “I’m Sick” Tweet

Earlier this week, the White House confirmed that Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19, right before a scheduled appearance in Las Vegas. At the time, his physician said he was experiencing “mild symptoms,” and the president headed home to Delaware to self-isolate. Luckily, he’s reportedly on the mend, and his symptoms have shown some improvement.

As news of Biden’s infection made its rounds online, his official X account seized the opportunity to diss Elon Musk with a couple of clever Tweets. “I’m sick,” the first one read simply, followed by “of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election.” This left a lot of fellow social media users amused and even sparked a witty response from Lil Wayne.

Lil Wayne Quotes “A Milli” In Response To Joe Biden Tweet

“Muthaf*cka, I’m ill,” he replied, quoting his 2008 Tha Carter III track “A Milli.” Of course, this resulted in many more reactions from Weezy fans, who agree that they should have seen this coming. While Lil Wayne seems to have kept his response to the news of Biden testing positive for COVID-19 light, others took a different approach. Meek Mill, for example, hopped online to claim that he was freaked out by the diagnosis. “I wish I never learned about politics because now y’all scaring me,” he wrote.

He’s certainly not alone, as this election cycle has seen no shortage of wild moments. Just before Biden contracted COVID-19, a man tried to assassinate Donald Trump in Pennsylvania, leaving the former president with an ear injury. Biden and Trump’s first debate also resulted in a great deal of concern, particularly among Democratic voters, and many are now urging Biden to drop out of the race. Eminem References Viral Gen Z Cancellation Meme On “The Death Of Slim Shady”

Today, Eminem finally unleashed The Death Of Slim Shady, and fans are already hard at work dissecting the new 20-track project. So far, it’s earned mixed reactions from listeners. While some are calling him out for being “corny,” others appreciate some of the more emotional moments of the album. Many are also taking note of some topical references to the “PC police,” “woke BS,” and more.

On his track “Trouble,” for example, he seemingly references the viral “Gen Z is trying to cancel Eminem” meme. “You gonna cancel me, yeah? Gen-Z me, bruh?” he spits. Of course, this has prompted a bit of a debate in Pop Base‘s comments section. Users are now arguing that the rapper can’t be canceled, insisting that nobody is trying to cancel him, or suggesting that this was merely an attempt to get Gen Z to interact with the project and prove a point.

Eminem Raps About Cancel Culture On “Trouble”

This is far from the only provocative line from The Death Of Slim Shady, however. Eminem also takes shots at Kanye West, Ja Rule, and more on his latest release. He even goes after Diddy and his countless allegations on “Antichrist,” referencing security footage of him assaulting his ex Cassie that surfaced online earlier this year. “Next idiot ask me is getting his a** beat worse than Diddy did [muted] / But on the real, though / She prolly ran out the room with his f***ing dildo / He try to field goal punt her, she said to chill / Now put it back in my a** and get the steel toe,” he raps.

B.G.’s Song Lyrics Must Be Approved By Probation Officers, Court Decides

B.G. wasted no time getting back to work following his 12-year prison stay. Evidently, however, not all of the artist’s legal woes are behind him just yet. Recently, it was reported that he must now submit all of his song lyrics to his probation officers for approval. The proposal was first made earlier this year. At the time, the government argued that his recent lyrics didn’t line up with his goals of rehabilitation.

In response, his legal team made it clear that they saw this as a violation of his First Amendment rights. “As to the Government’s request for Mr. Dorsey to provide U.S. Probation (and the government) with lyrics ‘for any song that he may write, in whole or in part, while on supervised release,’ it is respectfully submitted that this request is overly broad and violates the First Amendment and due process,” his attorneys wrote in May.

“It is respectfully submitted that requiring Mr. Dorsey to submit his mental impressions and lyrics for any song that he may write, whole or in part, would constitute a prior restraint. It is respectfully submitted that Mr. Dorsey should be permitted to write and express his own thoughts without fear that he needs to provide all lyrics to U.S. Probation and the Government,” they also added. His lyrics will be kept under seal to prevent any possible copyright infringements, and the documents will be given back to him once his supervised release is terminated.

What do you think of B.G. now having to submit all of his song lyrics to his probation officers for approval? Do you think this is a violation of his creative freedom or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Kodak Black Admits He Regrets “Super Gremlin” Bar About Fake Percs: Watch

It’s no secret that Kodak Black has struggled with substance abuse issues in the past, and recently, the rapper revealed that he has some regrets about glorifying that behavior in his music. In a new clip making its rounds online, he chats with fans about his Percocet habit onstage. He also refers to a bar from his 2022 track, “Super Gremlin.” In the song, he raps about knowing that a “Perc was fake,” but ultimately taking it anyway.

Kodak explained that if he had actually been taking fake Percocets at the rate he was taking real ones, he would have been “dead” by now. He told the crowd that he didn’t want them to hear the lyrics and think that it’s okay to take fake drugs, as it can be incredibly dangerous.

Kodak Black Reflects On Past Substance Abuse

His admission has fans split in No Jumper‘s comments section. While most agree that it’s a good move to acknowledge that substance abuse is dangerous, some think he shouldn’t pick and choose which substances are okay to promote. With that being said, he’s been pretty open about his Percocet addiction in the past and has stated that he’s in a much better place now that he’s on the road to recovery.

During an Instagram Live in April, for example, he discussed how much his life had improved since cutting back drastically. “I’m proud of myself,” he told viewers at the time. “I’ve never been this happy in my life.” What do you think of Kodak Black admitting that he regrets his infamous bar about fake Percs from “Super Gremlin”? B.G. Argues That Submitting Lyrics To P.O. For Approval Violates His Rights

Last year, B.G. was released from prison after spending roughly 12 years behind bars. Since then, he’s wasted no time getting back to work. Earlier this week, it was proposed that the Hot Boys rapper’s lyrics be submitted to a probation officer for approval. According to his legal team, however, having his lyrics picked apart by the government is an alleged violation of his First Amendment rights.

“As to the Government’s request for Mr. Dorsey to provide U.S. Probation (and the government) with lyrics ‘for any song that he may write, in whole or in part, while on supervised release,’ it is respectfully submitted that this request is overly broad and violates the First Amendment and due process,” B.G.’s team wrote. Probation and the Government.”

His attorneys continued, comparing the concept to “blaming Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone for violent crimes because of their movies.” In addition to arguing against B.G. having to submit his lyrics to a p.o., the artist’s team asked that the wording of one of his supervised release conditions be changed. He’s currently prohibited from working alongside convicted felons without prior written approval. According to them, however, “many people in the entertainment industry have felonies.”

Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty Hilariously Nails Her Lyric Challenge: Watch

It’s not often that Nicki Minaj shows off her man on social media, but when she does, she never fails to put him to the test. In a new clip, she and Kenneth Petty are seen chatting with fans during a livestream when she decided to challenge him to finish some of her song lyrics. According to her, he claims to be her biggest supporter, so the task should be no problem.

“You say you the biggest Barb so now you gotta finish the lyric,” she said right before rolling into “Pink Birthday.” Petty was able to finish the line, but unfortunately, he was just a tad off. “Lowkey ‘cuz we just that ill now, ain’t never had a…” she rhymed, with him adding, “Bad b*tch ’til now.”

The actual lyrics are, “Ain’t never had a ill b*tch ’til now,” forcing Nicki to correct him. Luckily, he made up for the mistake with her next line. “Post a pic, got ’em jackin’ like…,” Nicki began. Without any trace of hesitation, he completed the lyrics, spitting “Like Jill now.” Nicki seemed pretty impressed by Petty’s ability to recite most of her lyrics, ultimately deciding that he “won Nicki trivia.” It looks like Papa Bear’s dad might be a huge Barb after all.

“I ain’t gonna lie, I ain’t know you was gonna get the words like that at least once,” she noted, looking shocked that he managed to ace the challenge. “That’s all I listen to!” he then reminded her. Kanye West’s “Beg Forgiveness” Lyrics Save Stranded Skier’s Life

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s eagerly anticipated new project, Vultures 1, finally arrived last weekend. As the first of three volumes, the album has already managed to make a huge splash. Aside from topping the charts, Ye’s received some major backlash for some of the project’s controversial lyrics. The Chicago MC also got called out by Ozzy Osbourne and Donna Summer’s estate for allegedly using samples without permission.

Regardless, Vultures 1 has been well received by many, and has even reportedly saved a life. During a recent chat with The San Francisco Chronicle, Mike Petkov recalled getting lost on a skiing trip in Kirkwood. He claims that to remain hopeful as he awaited rescue, he recited lyrics from Ye and Ty Dolla Sign’s track with Chris Brown, “Beg Forgiveness.”

Mike Petkov Recalls Reciting Lyrics While Awaiting Rescue

“I thought I was getting into one of those cool backside areas where, if I got stuck, I’d be fine,” Petkov described. “I purposefully didn’t look at the trail map too much because I’ve had a lot of fun exploring [ski areas] and seeing where the day takes me.” In a turn of events, he ended up losing service, leaving him stranded. Fortunately, he was eventually able to contact some friends to give them his coordinates. At that point, however, it was too late. He had to wait overnight to get help, which is when Ye’s lyrics came in handy.

According to him, he continuously recited the lyrics, “You’ve gone too far and you should hang your head in shame/ Don’t die/ Don’t die,” which helped him stay alive. “I don’t blame Kirkwood. I should have at least had a little bit of a plan and an outlook of the resort,” Petkov says of the incident. “And then, just don’t YOLO too much.” What do you think of a man claiming that Vultures 1 lyrics saved his life during a skiing trip?
