Snoop Dogg Celebrates As Manchester City Wins Premier League, Surprising Fans

The 2023–24 English soccer league season came to an end on Sunday, May 19, when Man City, under the direction of Pep Guardiola, emerged victorious in a pivotal final round of matches. With their win, Manchester City defended their title from second place Arsenal, who would have won if Man City had lost their final game against West Ham. City has been the dominant force in England for the past decade, and this is their fourth league title in a row, a feat that has never been achieved in Premier League history. Hip Hop Icon Snoop Dogg got in on the celebration of the historic achievement this weekend.

Snoop Dogg has joined in on the celebration as Man City emerged victorious in the Premier League this past weekend. On the last day of the season, the Manchester club defeated West Ham of London 3-1 to become the first team in Premier League history to win four straight titles. All in all, Snoop Dogg surprised soccer fans by throwing his support behind Man City after they won, praising them on social media.

Snoop Dogg Celebrates Manchester City’s 4th Straight Title

Alfonso Ribeiro Has Regrets About Playing Carlton

Manchester City’s colors are blue and white, and Snoop, of course, has some inclination toward the color blue. The blue uniforms of the squad seem to be the only non-sports-related factor contributing to Snoop’s unexpected affection for City. The former Rollin’ 20s Crip posted a video of City winning the title on YouTube. The caption read, “Congrats to the BLUE side of manchester.” The colors of the city’s rival, Manchester United, are red. So it makes sense Snoop draws some connection to his LA past with the soccer rivalry.

Along with the above video, Snoop also posted a second one of the team’s on-pitch festivities on Instagram. He ended his message with a fitting blue heart emoji. Apparently, Snoop got into soccer in the early 2000s. After his Madden disc was scratched, and it wouldn’t work, he picked up FIFA for the first time. Apparently, the rest is history. Additionally, Manchester City is going after one more trophy this season. They will face their red rival Manchester United for the FA Cup at Wembley Stadium. Overall, Snoop better get ready to celebrate again this weekend when City hoists the FA Cup.

GloRilla & Snoop Dogg Have A Trippy Smoke Sesh In “High AF” Music Video

Many felt that GloRilla was trailing off a bit in 2023 after not having a hit for quite some time. However, the script has been flipped on its head in 2024 so far. The rowdy Memphis, Tennessee rapper has changed that narrative with her new mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang. Led by the February lead single “Yeah Glo!” and her first-ever collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, “Wanna Be,” it was one of the stronger releases in April. Undoubtedly, the latter is a song of the summer candidate as it sure to be played at loads of outdoor parties and clubs. On top of notching that track with the Texas femcee, they are now touring together. Now, GloRilla can check off working with Snoop Dogg off her list with the music video for “High AF” out.

This is now the third cut to receive the visual treatment, as the two promotional records are the others to have some. “High AF” is self-explanatory, as Big Glo raps about recreational smoking and the common side effects. The accompanying music video does a hilarious job at bringing the lyrics to life. Consequently, there is a scene in which GloRilla is “cooking” some weed over a stovetop.

Furthermore, she gives the visuals some weed street cred by calling on smoking legend Snoop Dogg. He makes a few cameos throughout, showing off his new spiked beverage, Gin & Juice, in the process. It is a enjoyable and laid-back music video that turns out was much needed. You can check out the visuals for “High AF” with the link above.

What are your thoughts on GloRilla getting Snoop Dogg to appear in her brand-new music video for “High AF?” Do you think the Memphis MC is officially back after her latest mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang? Don Toliver Previews A New Song With A Classic Snoop Dogg Sample

Don Toliver is instantly recognizable. He has one of the most distinct voices in all of hip-hop, and the ability to sound good alongside pretty much anybody. Metro Boomin called Toliver the Nate Dogg to his Dr. Dre, and the comparison has been apt so far. Toliver recently teased a new song during a live show, and he sampled a different member of the Death Row family. A different member of the Dogg family, too. Don Toliver flipped a classic Snoop Dogg record and fans are itching to find out when it will officially be released.

The song is titled “Attitude,” and Toliver hyped up the crowd right before playing it. “If you got a shot or something, you better that motherf*cker,” he stated. “I’m ready to go up.” The DJ then cuts in the iconic Snoop Dogg and Pharrell single “Beautiful.” Toliver’s version starts off the same, with Pharrell’s isolated vocals, but the rest of the song is completely different. “Attitude” chops up the Pharrell hook with some glitchy trap drums, and the effect is mesmerizing. Toliver doesn’t even bother singing at first, he just lets the beat shine.

Don Toliver Flips The Chorus To Snoop’s “Beautiful”

“Attitude” is produced by Cash Cobain and features backing vocals from Charlie Wilson. That’s the way the song has been credited so far, at least. It’s unclear whether Uncle Wilson contributed new vocals to the song, or if he’s credited because he appeared on the original Snoop Dogg song. Either way, the live snippet has gone viral on social media, with some claiming that Don Toliver has a potential “song of the summer” on his hands. It’s hard to disagree once one listens to “Attitude.”

Don Toliver and Cash Cobain aren’t the only artists who have flipped “Beautiful” in recent years. The 1998 smash served as the musical basis for Jack Harlow’s 2022 album cut “Side Piece.” The general consensus among fans, however, was that Harlow’s take was too reliant on the original, and failed to carve its own musical path. Cobain’s flip of the original on “Attitude” sounds inspired by comparison. Toliver has been teasing the release of his upcoming album since March, and it’s safe to assume this track will make the cut.

Snoop Dogg Reveals Tragedy That Inspired New Dogg Pound Album

Tha Dogg Pound was a legendary part of Death Row Records. While they lacked the crossover success of 2Pac or Dr. Dre, the duo anchored the label’s catalog with hits like “Let’s Play House” and “New York, New York.” The latter was a diss song with a Snoop Dogg chorus. The collab led to the formation of the DPGC, or Dogg Pound Gangsta Clicc, which has dropped multiple albums over the last three decades. Snoop Dogg thought DPGC was done a few years back, but personal events led to a reunion that he’s subsequently been grateful for.

Snoop Dogg talked about the Dogg Pound reunion during a recent appearance on Home Grown Radio. The rapper admitted that he’d been on the outs with Dogg Pound co-founder Daz Dillinger, and therefore reluctant to work with him. It’s worth noting that Snoop and Daz are cousins, so the rift went beyond the studio. It was ultimately the death of Snoop’s brother, Bing Worthington, that led to the two men setting their issues aside. “My little brother had passed away,” the rapper said. “And one thing about my little brother is he loved the f*ck outta Daz. He loved us together.”

The Death Of Snoop Dogg’s Brother Inspired The Reunion

Snoop Dogg decided that he wanted to honor Bing by putting out new music as a family. “I started calling family members,” he noted. “I reached out them, I was like ‘Y’all get Daz’. Me and him get on the line, we communicate, and I’m like ‘Come over and see me.’” Snoop and Daz reconciled, and then called Dogg Pound’s other co-founder, Kurupt. One thing led to another, and suddenly, the group was making music again. The concept of reconciliation informed the title of the new album, W.A.W.G., which stands for We All We Got.

The lead single for the album addressed the issues that Dogg Pound’s members have been going through. It also set the record straight on their future plans. Namely, that they aren’t going anywhere. “Smoke Up” sees Snoop Dogg, Daz Dillinger and Kurupt come together as a unified force. “F*ck what you heard,” Snoop raps. “Somebody said the Dogg Pound broke up/ Shut yo b*tch a*s up, n**ga, now smoke up.” W.A.W.G. is due out May 31.

Anderson .Paak Is The Odd Man Out In NxWorries’ PDA-Laden ‘FromHere’ Video With Snoop Dogg And October London

In NxWorries’ new video for “FromHere,” Anderson .Paak looks like he might have to leave the party alone. Everyone else at the bar is not only paired up, the PDA has begun as Anderson looks for his lover — at least for the night. However, not even his bandmate Knxwledge can help him out (even though he’s got two of his own), and Andy’s left looking for advice from Unc, Snoop Dogg, as Death Row Records singer October London croons in the background. The video was shot at Gold Line in Los Angeles and directed by Anderson .Paak himself.

The latest NxWorries single will appear on the duo’s upcoming second album, Why Lawd?, which is due on June 14th. Snooper Bowl: Snoop Dogg Reaches Agreement to Take Over Arizona Bowl

In a groundbreaking move, the Arizona Bowl has announced a multi-year sponsorship deal, renaming the annual event the “Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl Presented by Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop.” Scheduled for December 28, 2024, at 2:30 PM MST, this marks the first NCAA Bowl Game to feature an alcohol partner as the presenting sponsor.

“I’ve sent many players through my SYFL to colleges (and the NFL) so it’s only fitting that I bring the ‘juice’ back to college football,” said Snoop Dogg. “Dr. Dre and I are excited to bring our brand to the next level with this partnership, and we’re going to make the Arizona Bowl into a game day experience like never before.”

Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop, the inaugural ready-to-drink product from Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s premium spirits company, will headline the event, named after Snoop’s iconic 1994 track from his debut album, Doggystyle.

Snoop Dogg himself will promote the new line of flavors at the bowl. Preceding kickoff, Tucson will host various events, including charity initiatives and the SNOOPER Bowl, showcasing top California and Arizona youth football teams. Snoop’s philanthropic efforts, notably through the Snoop Youth Football League, continue to impact young athletes, including those with disabilities.

“We are honored to be working with one of our owners, Snoop Dogg, on this incredible event,” said Patrick Halbert, CEO of Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop. The brand’s Chief Strategy Officer, Andrew Gill, continues, “This partnership was a natural fit for us, and we are excited to be the first alcohol presenting sponsor in a Bowl Game.”

“We’re thrilled about our groundbreaking partnership with Snoop and Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop,” said Kym Adair, Executive Director of the Arizona Bowl. “This year, the Arizona Bowl is bringing sports, libations, and entertainment into a singular bowl game, and we are changing the definition of what a brand partnership is in the NCAA.”

The partnership between the Arizona Bowl and Playfly Premier Partnerships, announced in March 2021, facilitated this collaboration. Playfly, a division of Playfly Sports, brokered the deal with Snoop Dogg and Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop, amplifying the bowl’s national exposure and sponsorship opportunities.

“From the outset, we leveraged fan data to understand the valuable intersection between college sports and entertainment, redefining how the two can intersect,” said Playfly Founder and CEO, Mike Schreiber. “This partnership is a testament to our innovation and commitment to providing an unforgettable fan experience.”

The “Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl Presented by Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop” not only elevates the profile of this unique college football event but also continues its tradition of donating all net proceeds to charity while offering substantial brand exposure and recognition opportunities.

Snoop Dogg Is Getting His Own College Football Bowl Game, Making NCAA History

Snoop Dogg’s impact on football is rapidly becoming undeniable. In addition to his musical contributions to the sport, like his and Chris Stapleton’s 2023 Monday Night Football theme song and his performance alongside Dr. Dre at the 2022 Super Bowl, Snoop’s efforts in youth football in his hometown, Long Beach (as immortalized in his Amazon Prime comedy film, The Underdoggs), have sent a number of players from the ‘hood to the pros. This December, he’ll make college football history with the first-ever Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl Presented By Gin & Juice By Dre And Snoop.

The Arizona Bowl, established in 2015 and featuring teams from the Mountain West and Mid-American Conferences, will become the first NCAA bowl game to be presented by an alcoholic beverage company. As the Doggfather points out in his press statement for the partnership, The Snoop Youth Football League has become a launching pad for college football, so the connection makes more sense than it may appear on the surface. “I’ve sent many players through my SYFL to colleges (and the NFL) so it’s only fitting that I bring the ‘juice’ back to college football,” Snoop said. “Dr. Dre and I are excited to bring our brand to the next level with this partnership, and we’re going to make the Arizona Bowl into a game day experience like never before.”

The Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl Presented By Gin & Juice By Dre And Snoop will air on December 28, 2024, at 2:30pm MST.
