Meanwhile, one of the most notable celebrity responses came thanks to Iggy Azalea. After fans attacked her online, since Tory was meant to executive produce her new album, she set the record straight. Moreover, she responded to a user who pointed out the hypothetical nature of that criticism.

“Thank you,” the “Fancy” rapper wrote. “This is all I ask. Now isn’t the time to talk about a hypothetical album I’m yet to create or who will E.P it. Give me a min, y’all can fell however you want about whoever you want – that’s all good. But this isn’t the forum to discuss it. Happy holidays.”

However, others like Carl Crawford criticized Tory’s incarceration just a couple of days before Christmas. Additionally, he said that every Black man likely has the same reaction to Lanez getting a maximum of 22 years in jail.

“That’s cold-blooded…” the 1501 CEO said. “Two days before Christmas… 20 plus years… now, if a Black man don’t feel that, that’s cold.”

Many have also brought up the following tweet from the Canadian rapper in light of his verdict.

“I’m going to leave this here one more time… and watch how it ages… NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER… AND EVERY TONGUE THAT RISES AGAINST ME IN JUDGEMENT SHALL BE CONDEMNED u sit and watch now… And don’t ever question the GOD I serve again. This is my last tweet,” he said back on December 7th.

Furthermore, many other celebrities reacted including Melii, Baby Tate, Jonathan Wright, Anthony Fantano, Lil Ju, and more. Still, reactions have been relatively mixed, with some outraged at the verdict. However, it seems many are grateful for justice for Meg.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Attorney “Exploring Legal Options” Against Bloggers

It has been stated that we could receive a verdict in the Tory Lanez trial regarding the Megan Thee Stallion shooting as early as this afternoon. As the jury deliberates, a new report by NBC News has begun to circulate as they examine the public’s obsession with this case. Further, the outlet picked apart how blogs and blogging culture impacted how the public perceived Megan’s guilt, innocence, or culpability, even though she was the victim.

Alex Spiro, Megan’s attorney, spoke with NBC News and suggested that legal action could be taken against outlets that purposefully shared misinformation about the case.

Spiro said his team is “exploring all legal options” against “bloggers who have posted misinformation.” NBC noted blogger Milagro Gramz covered the case. She reported that the LAPD confirmed the rapper was injured from stepping on glass.

However, during the trial, the doctor who performed Megan’s surgery said she still had bullet fragments in her feet. It was also added that DJ Akademiks reshared Gramz’s report.

“On my end, everything is not going to be something that was intended to be a factual statement,” said Gramz. “It might have a comedic effect.” She also stated that she wasn’t trying to “tear anyone down” and had prayed for Megan.

Further, Megan’s legal team has proactively flagged social media content as abusive—including Gramz. Her account was locked, or restricted, for 11 hours due to repeatedly violating Twitter’s rules.

Additionally, No Jumper‘s Adam22 was also contacted for the story. He said, “In no way are we trying to push any agenda in favor of meg or tory.” Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee also defended his platform, insisting they have been “unbiased” in their reports on Megan and Lanez.

Candace Owens Defends Megan Thee Stallion Against “Vultures”

An ally that we’re sure Megan Thee Stallion didn’t expect to have is Candace Owens. The case against Tory Lanez is inching to its conclusion as he defends himself against allegations of assault. Megan testified that Lanez shot her in 2020, but he says otherwise. His defense argued that it was Megan’s former best friend, Kelsey Harris, who pulled the trigger.

This case has garnered attention from commentators across the globe, including Candace Owens. She shared a 9-minute video online where she said she was “horrified” about this story.

“Megan Thee Stallion has credibly accused Tory Lanez of shooting her in the foot,” Owens wrote in the caption.

“She turned down hush money and has been stabbed in the back by her friends, Instead of getting showered with support, Megan was mocked. I can’t imagine what it would be like to be in her position.”

In the clip, Owens brought up an example of having a crush on a Black high school classmate who said he wouldn’t snitch. The boy stood his ground, even when asked if he would tell the police if he saw someone kill a child. Owens said she didn’t want any part of the street code many in the Black community adhere to.

“But what happened and what is playing out with Megan Thee Stallion in her real life, not in just her performance life, is one of the most hideous things that I’ve ever seen,” Owens also stated. “The fact that the person behind this has not been canceled is incredible to me.”

“Culture likes Tory Lanez. Men are also standing by him. No one’s canceled him. Again, he didn’t say anything, he did something. He actually did violence, he didn’t say any violence. I guess in our world, it’s totally fine. I haven’t seen demands for this man to be canceled.”

She added that there hadn’t been news about his record label dropping him before sympathizing with Megan.

“Having suffered something so obviously traumatic and being surrounded by absolute vultures.” Check out the clip above.

Tory Lanez Too Short To Shoot Gun Over Door, Says His Attorney

Closing arguments in the Tory Lanez case are set for today as the defense resumes its final words to the jury. Yesterday, the defense and prosecution rested their cases, and soon, the world will learn Lanez’s fate. Megan Thee Stallion insists her former friend shot her back in July 2020. Lanez contests that it wasn’t him but Megan’s ex-best friend Kelsey Harris who pulled the trigger.

Testimony has been lively as witnesses for both sides seem to have dropped off surprises when taking the stand. Harris pleaded the fifth and said she couldn’t remember just about anything she previously detailed to the prosecution. Additionally, the man who allegedly witnessed the incident said he saw a short man shooting at a woman. He was a witness for the defense.

In the first portion of their closing statements, Lanez’s attorney George Mgdesyan suggested that the singer wasn’t tall enough to fire the shots. Reporter Meghann Cunniff offered an update about this puzzling defense argument.

“There was a light moment for Tory Lanez today during his lawyer’s closing,” wrote Cunniff. “Mgdesyan referenced his height, saying he’s ‘what, 5-foot-2‘ and ‘I don’t even know if he can get over the door to shoot.’ Lanez laughed for a bit over that one.”

She also noted that six jurors, all women, had a “stony expression as Mgdesyan spoke.” Cunniff added, “They didn’t appear to think he was funny.”

Mgdesyan also called the prosecution’s case “full of holes” and “speculation.” Cunniff claimed the attorney emphasized “reasonable doubt” due to the different stories of what occurred that fateful evening. He also reportedly told the jury that if he believes a “witness is lying in key testimony, they should consider disregarding all testimony.”

A verdict is expected within days.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Former Bodyguard Said Tory Lanez Apologized For Shooting: Report

The legal battle between Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez ramped up this week, as both sides give their testimonies. Recently, Meg’s former bodyguard Justin Edison did not attend trial proceedings when called to testify. While some see this as Meg’s case disintegrating, many have noticed how fishy this seems. A source told Rolling Stone that Edison gave a statement that Lanez apologized to him for shooting Megan.

According to these new reports, Edison primarily contributed to authorities charging Tory in the first place. Apparently, the bodyguard went to the Canadian rapper’s house to get his client’s belongings. After, he claims that Lanez apologized to him for the shooting, and issued a witness statement in reference. However, other witnesses backtracked rather than disappeared, such as Meg’s friend Kelsey Harris.

Regardless, Edison didn’t appear in court to give this testimony, which caused many to raise eyebrows. “Megan bodyguard Justin Edison is now considered a missing person,” one user wrote on Twitter. However, the Los Angeles Police Department told TMZ that there’s no missing person’s case for Edison.

Said user stated, “He was supposed to testify yesterday. He’s the sole reason Tory got charged. He went to Tory house to get Megan’s things, he claim Tory confessed that he shot Meg and now he’s missing out of nowhere, yeah okay.”

Seemingly, authorities in the LAPD dismissed Edison’s disappearance enough to not warrant a missing person’s case. Still, Rolling Stone’s report suggests that there’s a lot of withheld information in this case. Also, if Edison issued that statement and had every intention to testify, it would support the Houston rapper’s emotional testimony. However, things in court are not that easy. As witnesses flip and the case impacts Meg’s personal life, people are unsure of how far this will go.

But what do you think of Edison’s testimony, disappearance, and the LAPD’s actions? How do you think this case between Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez will develop? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments below. Also, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest updates on this story.
