Doja Cat’s Scarlet Tour left Uproxx’s Aaron Williams impressed with how Doja confronted “both the haters and the unhinged alter ego” named after her defiant Scarlet album. This morning (November 13), Doja Cat left nothing to the imagination when she dropped a six-minute spoof interview, which she teased over the weekend.

It starts with Doja Cat arriving on the set of a fake late-night television show hosted by her Scarlet alter ego. Within 45 seconds, Doja jokes to Scarlet, “I want you to sh*t on my face. I know that for a fact.” Somehow, it progressively gets even more unhinged.

Doja Cat discusses shaving her eyebrows and head, but clarifies, “I don’t shave my vagina.” Next up? The controversy surrounding Doja Cat losing “a little over a million followers” across social media, which Doja Cat blames on posting “a picture of Whoopi Goldberg’s nipples on Instagram.” That leads to a question about “what type of perks come with being in The Illuminati.”

Doja doesn’t flinch, saying, “Uh, free applesauce [and] chicken wings, but I haven’t seen any lizard guys in suits. […] I want to do goat sacrifices because that’s actually pretty spooky. Also, I’d love to give a shoutout to Satan.” Naturally, Scarlet asks whether Doja Cat ever indulges in worshipping Satan. After a quick belch, Doja says, “All the time. I give my demons free cheese.”

And we’re not even halfway home, guys. The second half of the spoof includes seemingly serious commentary from Doja Cat on how she’s evolved in her writing, but just when you think she’s being serious, she lets out a huge fart after saying, “I can express myself as me, and I have never been so comfortable.”

Doja Cat has often spoken fondly about the internet and growing up online. Earlier this year she stopped by Hot Ones to discuss a myriad of topics. Among them was her own internet addiction. She discussed many of the “YouTube rabbit holes” she’s fallen in while browsing the platform. Now, she’s taking much of the surreal content she’s seen and channeling it into a new video.

In the interview, Doja herself is interviewed by herself. Well, it isn’t exactly herself, but her Scarlet character from her new album era. As the title of the video reads, Doja is there to answer some “hard-hitting” questions but all is not exactly as it seems. The video has a distinctive editing style that Doja has spoken fondly of in the past. It’s technically a “YTB” a genre of video where fans online take interview clips and edit them in surreal and comedic ways. The only difference is that it seems like Doja made the new video with that format in mind and leaned into the potential of the editing techniques. Check out the full hilarious video below.

In the comments, fans seem to find the video just as funny as Doja herself. “Seeing scarlet wearing regular clothes still covered in blood is comedy gold,” one of the top comments on the video reads. “This whole thing is hilarious. i wish she could turn this into a show cause she said she’d love to have one someday,” another agrees.

Doja Cat is currently out on tour alongside Doechii in promotion of her new album Scarlet. The pair have only been touring for a few weeks but they’re already making waves with almost every show. Doja Cat Pokes At Her Fan-Hating Controversy In A New Late-Night-Inspired Skit For Something ‘Out Monday’

Doja Cat‘s fans are currently spiraling after the singer posted a cryptic video to her Instagram, with nothing but the caption “Out Monday.” The clip finds Doja (as her red-painted Scarlet altar-ego) interviewing the seemingly regular Doja, mirroring the style of a late-night television show.

“This might be a silly question,” Doja asks herself from the hosting desk in the skit. “Do you appreciate the people and the fans who support your music?”

The video then cuts to Doja dressed up, as she sits on the stage. A thought bubble version of herself appears right above. “I hate my fans,” she says, speaking from her inner thoughts. “My fans are dumb.” Instead of saying that out loud, she just answers, “Yeah,” as the audience cheers.

It is playing off Doja’s recent headline-making moment after she criticized her fanbase on social media — which sparked questions of whether she genuinely thought it or was leaning into some sort of persona for her recently released album, Scarlet.

While it’s still unclear exactly what this teaser is for, Doja’s fans seem to believe that it’s likely for a new music video. Some have speculated possibly for “F*ck The Girls (FTG),” “Shutcho,” or something else entirely.

Doja Cat Labels “Say So” A “Cash Grab” During “Scarlet Tour” Performance

Doja Cat labeled her hit song, “Say So,” a “cash grab” during a recent performance in Denver, Colorado, on The Scarlet Tour. While dancing to the chorus, she remarked “C’mon cash grab,” to the audience as they sang along. The clip comes after Doja previously called her 2019 album, Hot Pink, on which the single is featured, as well as her 2021 effort, Planet Her, “cash grabs.”

Taking to Twitter, earlier this year, she wrote: “Planet her and hot pink were cash-grabs and yall fell for it.” In a follow-up post, she added: “Now i can go disappear somewhere and touch grass with my loved ones on an island while yall weep for mediocre pop.”

If she did release it as a “cash grab,” Doja Cat certainly succeeded with the track, “Say So.” The Recording Academy honored it with nominations in two categories at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards for both Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. Earlier this week, Doja revealed her latest life philosophy on Instagram. Captioning photos from the tour, she wrote: “Life is about oiling up your abs and telling people to stop looking at you. Life is about memes and club penguin. Life is about wearing makeup and wearing high heels with socks. That’s what i’ve learned. That’s my philosophy. Despite the massive social media purging Doja Cat faced online, the “Attention” rapper’s career continues to thrive. Yesterday (November 10), Doja received multiple Grammy nominations (Best Melodic Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Pop Solo Performance). Her Scarlet album has staying power on the music charts. Plus, her supporting tour with Ice Spice and Doechii is receiving rave reviews, including from Uproxx’s own Aaron Williams.

You were wrong if you thought Doja would walk back any of her past remarks. Yesterday, during The Scarlet Tour’s stop in Denver, Colorado, she doubled down on one. “C’mon cash grab,” yelled Doja to the Ball Arena crowd as they sang along to her song “Say So.”

In a series of now-deleted posts shared on her official X (formerly Twitter) page in May, Doja confessed that she wasn’t proud of some of her past bodies of work. “‘Planet Her’ and ‘Hot Pink’ were cash-grabs, and y’all fell for it. Now, I can go disappear somewhere and touch grass with my loved ones on an island while y’all weep for mediocre pop,” penned the rapper.

Although those projects led her to achieve superstar status and a Grammy Award, Doja promised to stay away from pop and focus on showcasing her rap abilities. Initial supporters weren’t pleased by her statements, but ultimately it paid off.

That just proves the showmanship, talent, and good sense of humor that the Los Angeles artist is keeping up no matter what comes her way. However, she also wants to show everyone who skipped out on this trek that they will regret doing so. Moreover, with the “Agora Hills” MC’s latest Instagram photo dump, she showcased the amazing fits, visual set designs, and hazy atmosphere that Scarlet is taking across the U.S.

Furthermore, having set posts from her on social media might actually be for the best. That’s because, whenever Doja Cat goes on Instagram Live and goes for more unfiltered engagement, there’s always some big concern and worry on behalf of her fans. It’s hard to tell how much of these are just shocked reactions and how many are genuinely worried for her. Doja Cat Hilariously Reacts To Mid-Show Technical Difficulties

Earlier this week Doja Cat began her Scarlet Tour and like many of the other big tours of 2023, it’s made nightly news so far. The first big announcement came a day before the tour even began. Doja announced that she was collaborating with Amazon to make her tour merch available to all fans, even those at home. She debuted an official Amazon store page where fans could get their hands on numerous pieces of Scarlet merch before they even show up for her concert.

Now, a hilarious video of an on-stage mishap from one of her tour shows had begun making the rounds online. Just as Doja is about to start performing her mega-hit “Kiss Me More” she realized her microphone cut out. Ever the professional, Doja manages to power through the beginning of the song maintaining the crowd’s excitement while also trying to quickly fix the mic herself. When she can’t figure it out the crowd takes over for her rapping the lyrics of the song themselves. They erupt in applause when a stagehand rushes out to give Doja a new working mix. Doja Cat And Doechii Share First Look At Their Upcoming Collaboration

Earlier this year, Doja Cat released her new album, Scarlet. It performed pretty well on the charts debuting in the top 5 of the Billboard 200. It also spawned one of Doja’s biggest hits of the past few years. “Paint The Town Red” has spent three non-consecutive weeks at number one on the Hot 100. It’s spent the past two weeks at number two on the chart being held off by Taylor Swift’s 2019 deep-cut turned smash hit “Cruel Summer.” Taylor is once again expected to top the charts next week with her song “Slut!.”

But Doja Cat is already looking ahead to future new music. Last night she began her Scarlet tour taking the album and many of her past favorites on the road. The theatrical performance got a lot of fans online talking but one moment in particular had them particularly excited. Doja and her tour opener Doechii showed off a teaser trailer of sorts. The clip ends with a preview of a new song the two collaborated on. While they didn’t confirm any plans for its release, that didn’t stop fans from buzzing about it online.
