Lil Uzi Vert Is Disputing Their Appearance On The Rolling Loud California 2024 Lineup: ‘Don’t Understand Why My Name Is On Here’

It looks like there may have been a miscommunication between Lil Uzi Vert and their management regarding their appearance on the Rolling Loud California lineup for 2024 because Uzi appears confused. “I never said I was doing Rolling Loud,” they wrote on Instagram over a repost of the event’s flyer in Stories. “Don’t understand why my name is on here.”

While miscues like this do occasionally happen in the entertainment industry (actually, they happen all the time, just rarely at this scale), it’s unusual that Lil Uzi Vert wouldn’t want to do Rolling Loud. They’ve been a mainstay at the festival since it began to rise to prominence a few years ago, appearing on the roster most years since at least 2017.

However, Uzi has been insinuating lately that they’re fed up with the music business, hinting at retirement and personal issues including a possible breakup with City Girls’ JT. Anyone hoping that their Grammy nomination for Pink Tape would salve those psychic wounds might end up disappointed.

This isn’t the first time a big-name festival announced its lineup before the artists involved were informed by their respective teams. In 2020, the Lovers And Friends Festival lineup was disputed by both Mase and Lil Kim before they figured things out. Despite those checks eventually clearing, though, the festival was postponed due to COVID-19, eventually taking place at a later date.

Lil Uzi Vert Confused By Announcement That They’re Headlining Rolling Loud

Earlier today one of the biggest hip hop festivals in the world announced their 2024 lineup. Rolling Loud Los Angeles is set to take place in March of next year and now the full roster of performers has been announced. Included are dozens of major artists like Sexyy Red, YG & Tyga doing a joint set, Big Sean, Summer Walker, Don Toliver, Chief Keef, and many many more. The festival is set to be headlined by Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, and Lil Uzi Vert. Or at least that’s what the poster says.

One person who is raising doubt about the lineup is Lil Uzi Vert themselves. The rapper took to Instagram to share the festival poster, which is pretty common for artists when they’re announced for a festival. But Uzi also shared a message that raised some doubts as to whether or not they would actually be playing. “I never said I was doing rolling loud I don’t know why my name is on here @rollingloud,” Uzi’s Instagram story post reads. Check out their response to the original lineup announcement below.

Lil Uzi Vert “Never Said” They Would Play Rolling Loud

Earlier this year, Lil Uzi Vert released their new album Pink Tape. The project became the first rap album of 2023 to reach number one on the Billboard 200. Ever since Pink Tape dropped Uzi has continued to tease even more new music. They’ve reportedly been working with some of Young Thug’s collaborators like London On Da Track with the aim of making a tribute album called Barter 16.

Uzi also teased a new mixtape, the third in their LUV Is Rage series. Despite few updates on the project and even rumors that Uzi was planning on retiring, it’s still being worked on. Uzi promised listeners that the album is still coming in a post last week where they also thanked fans for their support. Do you think Lil Uzi Vert will end up headlining Rolling Loud next year? Earlier this year, the festival had moved to this venue, after hosting it in San Bernadino for 2022. Previous iterations of Rolling Loud California also took place at the Banc Of California Stadium.

“There was no dust or grass or rugged terrain to navigate, with the streets lining the stadium offering the food concessions, water stations, and rest areas all in an easily traversable thoroughfare with few choke points,” Uproxx’s Aaron Williams wrote in his review about Rolling Loud California’s Hollywood Park venue. “Getting around the fest was a breeze. And including three entrances not only increased the sense of convenience but also the feeling that the organizers had prioritized safety, preventing bottlenecking in any one part of the festival grounds as new arrivals got themselves oriented.”

Rolling Loud is returning to Hollywood Park in Inglewood, California from March 15-17, 2024. The 2023 festival was headlined by Future, Playboi Carti, and Travis Scott, but the three-day event had plenty to offer and left a lasting impression on Uproxx’s Aaron Williams. Which is to say, you don’t want to miss your opportunity to buy tickets to Rolling Loud California, and that’s where we come in. Below is all the information we have (so far).

How To Buy Tickets To Rolling Loud California

Rolling Loud’s presale began on October 19, and the festival confirmed that the presale had sold out on Thursday, November 9. You can join the waitlist here.

How Much Are Tickets?

As of right now, pre-sale ticket prices are listed on Rolling Loud’s website as follows (before factoring in taxes and fees): General admission tickets were $299, GA+ tickets were $449, VIP tickets were $599, and VIP Munchies tickets were $799. When Does The Rolling Loud California 2024 Lineup Come Out?

The Rolling Loud California 2023 lineup was announced last November, so the 2024 lineup could very well drop as early as next week. The festival’s social media accounts teased it this week, confirming that the lineup will drop at some point this month.

It has been a little under a month since Rolling Loud announced the dates for its 2024 return to Los Angeles, and fans are understandably antsy for more information. Rolling Loud’s social media manager, meanwhile, has been delighted to tease them with the possibility of updates like the one below. It doesn’t look like fans will have to wait too long to see the lineup, as Rolling Loud writes, “feels like a lucky month to announce a lineup.”

That means we can probably expect to learn who’s performing at next year’s LA show sometime this month. The 2023 edition of the festival, which took place in early March, was headlined by Future, Playboi Carti, and Travis Scott and featured a lineup including standout performances from Coi Leray, Ice Spice, Ken Carson, Larry June, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, and more. It also established its new venue in Hollywood Park, Inglewood (just outside the SoFi Stadium) as a well-suited location for its upcoming 10th-anniversary celebrations (and fifth year in the City of Angels)

So it’s good to know that it’ll be returning there in 2024. Rolling Loud LA is scheduled for March 15-17, with tickets already on sale. You can more information on the Roling Loud website.
