JJ Watt has consistently been one of the best defensive players in the entire league. During his time with the Houston Texans, Watt was known for his MVP-level play and incredible tipped passes at the line of scrimmage. Furthermore, Watt has been known as an amazing teammate who is always there to help people.

One can just look at his charity work in Texas when that horrific hurricane hit a few years ago. Watt was able to raise millions of dollars, and he became a hero in the community. Overall, there is no doubt that Watt is an amazing guy who is beloved by all.

JJ Watt Surprises Fans

Over the last couple of seasons, Watt has been playing for the Arizona Cardinals. Unfortunately, his time with the Cardinals hasn’t been exceptional. Regardless, the fanbase loves him as he has continuously been one of the best professionals you could ever ask for.

Today, however, Watt threw fans for a loop when he revealed that this is going to be the final year of his career. “Koa’s first ever NFL game. My last ever NFL home game,” Watt wrote. “My heart is filled with nothing but love and gratitude. It’s been an absolute honor and a pleasure.”

Needless to say, Watt is making it clear that he will not be playing in the NFL past 2023. This is definitely a sad day for NFL fans as it brings in the end of an era. In the tweets below, you can see just how much respect Watt commanded during his time in the league.

Watt is making this decision for his family, and you can’t blame him. The longer you play in the NFL, the worse your quality of life is long-term. That said, Watt is making sure he will be there for his wife and child.

Tom Brady Speaks On Looming Retirement Decision

Tom Brady has some massive decisions to make this off-season. Of course, last year, he decided to announce his retirement from football. However, just a month later, he decided to come out of retirement for one more season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Overall, this wasn’t exactly his best decision as the Bucs stand at a record of 7-8. Still, the Buccaneers are in a playoff spot and they are staring down a matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. If Brady can turn things around and win it all, then it will be his most unlikely Super Bowl run to date.

Will Tom Brady Retire?

During the most recent episode of his famous Let’s Go podcast, Brady was asked about making the retirement decision. As Brady explained, it isn’t something that is truly on his mind right now. Instead, he is thinking about finishing out this season and getting the best possible result. However, he did note that once he decides to retire, that’s it this time.

“I think what I really realized … was you’ve got to be really sure to do that,” Brady said. “And for me, you know, a lot of people have kind of gone through this situation. I’m going to take my time whenever that time does come.”

Daddy Yankee Reflects On Retirement At End Of “Legendaddy World Tour”

Daddy Yankee has retired now that his “Legendaddy World Tour” has wrapped up. The Iconic Puerto Rican singer reflected on his storied career during the final stop of his tour.

“To all my fans worldwide, I want to thank you very much for your support and for opening the doors not only to me but to a whole movement from scratch,” Daddy Yankee said during his final show in Miami. “I remember when I was 13 or 14 years old, I was a kid with a vision, many dreams and aspirations. And as time went by, I saw beautiful audiences worldwide. Looking back, I can say it was worth the effort and sacrifice.”

Daddy Yankee originally announced his retirement back in March. He began his final tour in July, playing sold-out shows across North America.

In a post on Instagram after his final show, Daddy Yankee thanked his fans for their support over the years.

“It was you who gave me the keys to open the doors to make this genre the biggest in the world,” Daddy Yankee told his followers. “I finally see the goal. I retire with the greatest of thanks to my fans, my colleagues, all the producers, radio, press, television, digital platforms and to you, especially you, who have been with me from the underground.”

Terrence Howard Announces Plan To Retire From Acting

After decades in the entertainment industry, Terrence Howard announced his plans to retire from acting. The actor made things clear in a recent interview, saying, “This is the end for me.”

Sitting down with Entertainment Tonight, the Empire star revealed some sage advice that he received from the late actor Sidney Poitier in the past.

“I asked Sidney Poitier 10 years ago does he want to do any more work, and he said, ‘Why would I spend my last 10 years doing an impersonation of myself?’ And that’s what I’ve gotten to.” Howard shared.

While revealing his appreciation for new actors, the 53-year-old continues, “I’ve gotten to the point where now I’ve given the very best that I have as an actor. Now I’m enjoying watching other new talent come around, and I don’t want to do an impersonation of myself.”

The Chicago native has enjoyed a successful career since he started in the early 1990s. 

After making guest appearances in various sitcoms, he later starred in Ray, Crash, and Four Brothers. In 2006, Howard earned an Academy Award nomination for his role in Hustle & Flow.

Per Complex, the actor previously claimed in 2019 that he would retire after Empire officially ended. Though the hit Fox show finished with six seasons in 2020, Howard continued to act in several films.

But now, it appears the Best Man star is finally ready to leave the profession.

Rooting for his fellow entertainers to find success, Howard also shared with Entertainment Tonight, “Yes, there’s some better actors out there that can do things that I was never able to do. So, I want to applaud them, I want to be excited about what they do.”

Kid Cudi Unveils “Entergalactic” Production Credits, Says He Doesn’t Want To Release Any More Albums

It could be the end of an era for Kid Cudi.

After the arrival of the Ohio native’s highly anticipated Entergalactic album, fans have been praising both Scott Mescudi’s musical work as well as the Netflix Original film that it was released alongside. While the rapper looks to be in a strong place creatively at the moment, he revealed in an interview with Zane Lowe that he’s actually considering walking away from his performance alter ego – for the time being, anyway.

“The Kid Cudi stuff, I think I want to put it on the back burner and chill out with that. I think, I want to be done with it. I think, closing the chapter on Kid Cudi,” the 38-year-old shared when asked about his current plans for the future.

Mr. Rager then added, “I’ve made a lot of music, man. I’ve said a lot and I have other desires, I have other things I want to do. And I do not see me never making music, I’ll always f*ck around in the studio, or make something here and there. But, as far as getting in the studio and working on an album, and then going and touring it, I just don’t have it in me. I don’t have the desire.”

At this time in kid life, Mescudi is interested in putting more energy into his personal relationships, particularly the close bond he’s formed with his daughter as she’s gotten older. “We’ve been kicking in a lot lately and I’ve been having more time and it’s good, she’s growing up, our relationship is super tight. It’s what I always dreamed of,” the father of one revealed.

Without music as a primary focus in his life, Lowe was curious about how Cudi plans to channel his creative energy in the future. “I want to just write more TV shows, write more movies, produce more,” the rapper told the host.

“I just want to focus on Mad Solar Productions and just get that shit out a little bit more. And then, on the side, I got my clothing line that’s debuting in January, in Paris, during fashion week. So, I got those two things I’m really focused on and just designing and writing and that’s where I see myself headed.”

SOURCE SPORTS: Los Angeles Lakers Announce the Retirement of Pau Gasol’s Number

The Los Angeles Lakers have announced the retirement of Pau Gasol’s No. 16 jersey number. The ceremony will occur during the March 7, 2023, game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

During his seven-season run with the Lakers, Gasol aided Los Angeles in capturing back-to-back titles in 2009 and 2010. He was selected to the All-NBA Second Team in 2011 and to the All-NBA Third Team in 2009 and 2010 while wearing the purple and gold. He earned three of his six career NBA All-Star awards while playing for the Lakers (2009–2011).
