Joe Budden Podcast Debates If Drake Is In A Position To Go At JAY-Z

Overall, 2024 is a year to forget for Drake. He was publicly embarrassed by Kendrick Lamar and some of his output is some of the worst of his career. However, it seems like he may be heading into 2025 with another titan in his sights. At the top of the week, Drake interestingly posted the infamous 2014 elevator quarrel between JAY-Z and Solange to his Instagram Story. It was a weird and inexplicable debacle that seems to not be an issue for anyone that was involved. Even with that being known, there’s some speculation going on that is suggesting that Drizzy’s trying to use it as ammunition against Hov.

Some think that this has something to do with Jay selecting Kendrick for the Super Bowl Halftime Show, but it’s murky. Overall, Drake has had issues with the Roc Nation boss previously, so it’s not too surprising in that regard. However, it is in that same breath because The Boy tried to take down K. Dot and it fired back in a pretty devastating fashion. Of course, there’s also the Pusha T takedown from a few years ago as well.

The Joe Budden Podcast Debates Drake & JAY-Z

Some of these points were made on a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast while debating whether or not Drake should go at one of the G.O.A.T.s. One person on the panel thinks because he’s been so dominant in terms of sales and plays, his ego is clouding his judgement and it’s causing him to lose to the “big dogs.” They also brought up Hov’s past battles with a Nas, for example. Joe Budden thinks Drake should take the Nicki Minaj approach and go for the corporations (Roc Nation in this case) that he feels are sabotaging him. Both are pretty sound arguments, so we need to hear your answers to the following questions.

What are your thoughts on Joe Budden and the panel debating whether or not Drake should start feuding with JAY-Z? Whose argument do you agree with more and why? Do you think Drizzy was calling out Hov a few days ago? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Lil Baby Sneak Disses Gunna Again On Lil Mabu Track, Fans Speculate

The war of words between Lil Baby and Gunna continues, although it seems only one side is willing to keep the beef going. Fans have begun to speculate again after the “Yes Indeed” rapper recently collaborated with Lil Mabu on a track for his new album. “How you switch up on the bros? I can’t f*** with those (Not at all) / N****s act like they won’t fold, knowing that they told (How you switch up?).” This is where fans feel that the Gunna diss happened from Lil Baby and they do not understand it.

The Neighborhood Talk reposted Baby’s lyrics on Instagram and the consensus seems to be that Gunna continues to win. Everyone does not understand why he continues to attack the “Bittersweet” artist after the YSL RICO Trial. “Lil baby starting to fall off because if Young Thug ppl did not have no problem with him why do you!” one person comments. Others are even disregarding the diss and focusing on why he worked with Mabu in the first place.

“Gunna minding his business and selling out arenas. Baby worried about the wrong thing,” someone writes. “Trying to diss someone on a yt boy song is crazy🤣🤣” Of course, there is always the possibility that Baby was speaking in generalities on this verse. But the media and fans are immediately going to assume that it was directed for a certain someone.

What are your thoughts on Lil Baby supposedly dissing Gunna on this new Lil Mabu collaboration? Do you think Baby is just trying to stir the pot or is do you believe he actually dislikes Gunna? Is Baby falling off in your opinion? Where do you see his career going from here and why? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Latto Hits Ice Spice’s Home Of The Bronx For New Music Video Shoot, Fans React

Out of all the unconfirmed yet spicy and speculated rap beefs out right now, Ice Spice and Latto is one that many fans think will boil over soon. Of course, these are all just rumors based on alleged subliminals, social media shots, and more interpretations. However, even though this is firmly riding the gossip train, we can’t deny that the signs are getting clearer and easier to draw connections between. For example, the 777 star was recently spotted filming a music video in the Like..? hitmaker’s neighborhood of the Bronx. Complete with a gaggle of security trucks and onlookers, we’ll see whether the resulting product furthers this or if it’s just a coincidence.

Furthermore, folks in the comments sections of posts below are pointing out how this isn’t really a violent or hostile issue, and thus, this doesn’t mean what it would mean in another scenario. Still, it’s curious how this connection falls amid the context of previous alleged back-and-forths between the two. Does Latto want this to be a statement or to bait Ice Spice into a lyrical spar? Or are we just reading too deeply into the whole thing -– or misinterpreting an olive branch, perhaps?

Latto Is In The Bronx For A Music Video, And Ice Spice Fans Are Heated

Overall, nothing would make us happier than these femcees dropping a hot track together to dispel these claims. Whether there were issues before or not, it would be great to see what this would represent for the rap genre, particularly for women within it, as female rap beef seems so common and exploited these days. Sure, some instances (like the current war between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj) are much more direct and fair game. But as folks pick sides in that battle (and we all know where Ice Spice and Latto stand), it ends up creating and adding to unnecessary division.

Another Angle

Meanwhile, the last instance of these two young artists throwing shots at each other had to do with a song snippet that released this weekend. Until they clear the air one way or another, we’ll have to stay on the speculative tip. But here’s hoping that no one has to step over another to get a leg up in the game. On that note, stay up to date on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Latto and Ice Spice.
