Dave East Gets Pepper Sprayed By Police Outside Concert In Montreal: Watch

Montreal police have a long history of making things difficult for rappers that try to perform in the city. While the city has a bustling rap scene of its own, instances of backstage issues and police shutting down shows date back years. Despite their reputation, they took it to the next level during a recent show Dave East was trying to perform in the city.

In a compilation of clips assembled by MtlFlexTV, they recap the events of the night. It first starts with the police interrupting Dave’s show inside with a series of back-and-forth interactions between him and various officers on the scene. Afterward, they stop the show entirely and force everyone outside which is where the eventual confrontation happens. The final clip shows the police pepper spraying East and the group surrounding him as well as anyone nearby including the person trying to film the encounter. Check out the full clip below.

In the caption of the post, the account makes reference to the reputation Montreal police have. “SPVM doing their best to make sure no artist wants to perform in Montreal,” it reads. “No big rapper or entertainer would ever wanna don’t here anymore it’s a damn shame. Everytime there is a little bit of hope for the city the Quebec government steps in or the police,” one of the top comments on the post agrees.

Dave East is fresh off the release of a new mixtape with Crunch Calhoun. The project is called 30 For 30 and features 14 track with numerous collaborations throughout. Mike & Keys, Buda & Grandz, J. Stone, aarabMUZIK, and Lyrivelli all make appearances on the record. It’s Dave East’s second new project of 2023 following his lengthy Fortune Favors The Bold which dropped back in July. In addition to that he also shared the deluxe edition of his album Book Of David which added an entire 9 new songs to the project. Lola Brooke New York Listening Party Pepper Spray Incident Led Event Awry: Report

Leading up to her debut project, Dennis Daughter, arriving today (November 10), Lola Brooke kept fans interested with a well-planned rollout. Singles like “You” and “Pit Stop” preceded her work, showing how the East Coast icon can hold her own alongside seasoned emcees like Bryson Tiller and French Montana. Plenty of her female contemporaries later came through to help Brooke too, including Latto, Coi Leray, and Yung Miami.

Ahead of sharing her album with the world, the “Don’t Play With It” hitmaker hosted a listening party in her home state. Unfortunately, a new report from Page Six alleges that things didn’t go exactly as planned after an alleged pepper spray incident at the Soho venue. “I was partying in the back having a good time and all of a sudden I could not breathe. My throat started to burn and my eyes teared up,” one attendee dished to the publication. “I think too many people were trying to get too close to her in her VIP section so the situation had to be handled with mace,” they hypothesized.

Brooke’s team told Page Six they “were unaware of that incident” taking place. Though the lyricist was seemingly unbothered by the chemicals in the air, many others “desperately dashed to the bathroom – and to the bar – for water to flush their eyes and throats.” Others opted to simply leave the party early. “I could not breathe, and had to leave, I could not take it. I honestly don’t know where it came from. One minute everyone was drinking and vibing to her music, the next minute people were coughing, choking and gasping for air. Everybody except Lola though,” another attendee noted.

Now that Lola Brooke’s debut LP has finally hit streamers, the rising starlet is already busy planning her next creative ventures. We’re impressed with the roster of collaborators she tapped for Dennis Daughter and can’t wait to hear who else she’ll be hitting the studio with next. Charleston White Speaks On Macing Boxing Opponent

Today (August 26), controversial YouTuber Charleston White is meant to fight Suede the Plug God in the ICB North American Lightweight Championship. However, drama went down at the face-off and weigh-in on August 25. As White and Suede jawed at each other during the face-off, White took things a step further by pepper spraying Suede. Furthermore, the pepper spray incident was White’s response after Suede forcefully pushed him.

“Bitch ass n*gga!” White could heard yelling as he was mobbed by fans, Suede having left the stage clutching at this face. Additionally, presented by Thunderbolt Boxing, the fight is scheduled to happen in Tempe, Arizona. However, a lot of people are calling cap on the claims that it was pepper spray. However, White has now spoken about the incident just hours before the fight is meant to go down.

“N*gga, I don’t do no motherfucking bar fight,” White explained at the start of a lengthy rant about the incident. “N*gga, I don’t want no motherfucking bar fight. I am an amateur professional boxer. You don’t put your motherfucking hands on me outside no motherfucking boxing ring. I’m a sanctioned fighter, n*gga.” However, White was far from done. “I’m a sanctioned fighter and you tryna fight unsanctioned. N*gga didn’t know that I got them motherfucking mace boxing gloves. He lucky I don’t press charges. That’s assault, n*gga. What he want me to do, press charges? Naw n*gga, you just keep them hands offa me until we get in the ring.”

Additionally, he continued. “Now the fight even. I coming in visually impaired. He coming in visually impaired. Put your money on me. The fight even now, how they gon put a two-eyed n*gga against a one-eyed n*gga. Yeah, yeah, it’s even now. The playing field has been leveled. That n*gga kinda strong too. You see how far I went back?” However, he still wasn’t finished. “Bitch has me fucked up. Showing up my hotel with a bunch of n*ggas tryna scare me. I ain’t the type of old n*gga you can do that to. You can’t do unc like that. You got me fucked up.” Furthermore, be sure to watch the full video for the full extent of White’s wild comments. Despite the incident, the fight is still believed to be taking place.
