Lil Yachty Says More Collabs With The Alchemist Are On The Way

It’s always interesting, exciting, and sometimes mind-blowing to see two artists who you never thought would team up in a million years get to work together. Of course, that’s just the boundary-pushing, collaborative, and ingenious spirit of hip-hop at work. When you think of The Alchemist’s woozy, cavernous, and often abstract beats, Lil Yachty might not be the first person you think could ride them well. However, following a recent collab between the two along with Draft Day, “SUMMER SUPERSTARS,” we now know that they actually have a lot of chemistry. In fact, they’ve had it for a while, as the Atlanta rapper recently took to Twitter to hint at more to come.

“i’ve for many years secretly enjoyed recording on alchemist beats..,” Lil Yachty wrote along with the visualizer for the track. “i think it’s time to drop a couple of them now..” However, for some die-hard fans of the “Strike” MC’s recent material, this is actually an obvious and cheeky link-up. After all, on his most recent album Let’s Start Here, Yachty has a song titled “The Alchemist” on it, so maybe sone listeners saw this one coming.

More Lil Yachty & The Alchemist Collabs Could Come Out Very Soon

Furthermore, it’s nonetheless exciting to think of what the two could’ve cooked up together despite their differing styles. For example, maybe Uncle Al tackled more bubbly and synthetic production styles, or Yachty put on his old-head lyrical cap and spit absolute fire over some grimy boom-bap. Either way, their creativity and vision is key to their artistry, and so a successful result shouldn’t be too surprising. Regardless, it signifies them stepping out of their comfort zone and finding common ground. Even if it doesn’t result in the most amazing songs ever, it’s a commendable effort.

Meanwhile, maybe we’ll hear Lil Boat on Al’s next release, the last of which was the Flying High EP. That also boasted plenty of guests that, while not too similar to Yachty, showed that anyone working with the legendary producer gets that spark of inspiration in them. All we can do now is wait to see what’s in store. With that in mind, stay logged into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Yachty and The Alchemist.

Lil Baby Has New Music Coming Soon, He Confirms

Over the past nine months or so, we’ve only heard Lil Baby in small doses: features, teases, performances, and so on. However, his latest Instagram post suggests that he’s getting ready to drop something soon. Moreover, he posed on an ice cream cart with chips, which hopefully means he’s going to feed fans soon. In the post’s caption, the Atlanta rapper wrote, “Give Me A Date …………? #newmusicotw.” Whether that comes after a few days, weeks, or months remains to be seen, but there’s an avalanche of commenters asking him to drop something tomorrow.

Regardless, surely what was teased this week will hold fans over with enough conversation to last at least one more. After all, many believe that he took aim at Gunna in a new snippet that released in a video. “Some n***as taking pleas at trial, I know that slime ain’t happy,” he raps, and this comes just a week after his former collaborator’s last album a Gift & a Curse dropped. Furthermore, the Drip Season MC denied dissing Lil Baby on his album, and it actually seems like him and YSL aren’t as estranged as Internet debaters suggest. Wunna reposted Young Thug’s countdown on Instagram, and YSL promoted his new album as well.

Lil Baby’s Tease On Instagram

Though that may be true, perhaps a simple cosign from his peers won’t be enough to dissuade Lil Baby from his beliefs. Still, that just makes fans more anxious and eager to listen to what the 28-year-old drops next. Sure, all this excitement doesn’t mean that it’s been a complete drought for Baby on the musical end. We mentioned some features and singles like his brand new Gucci Mane collab “Bluffin’” and his solo track “Go Hard.

Meanwhile, others recently took to social media to clown the “Heyy” artist for reasons unrelated to his output. Of course, those are low blows to give, but his glitter fit certainly evoked more laughs than hate. Putting that aside, hopefully his next album or musical moves are no laughing matter, as fans are excited to see him return to prime form. With that in mind, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Baby.

Travis Scott Plays “Utopia” For The Houston Astros

We’re now one step closer to Utopia– unless, of course, Travis Scott was just playing with the Houston Astros. Moreover, the Houston native recently got social media incinerated with yet another tease towards his next album’s release. A video emerged of Travis at their game, remarking to the cameraman that he played the baseball team the project to get them ready against the Chicago Cubs. While speaking on the occasion, he said the album is on the way and told an unspecified Mark to “finish the master.” With this, hype for Utopia just reached the highest high it’s seen in a while.

However, it’s been a long time since Travis Scott first started dangling this project over his listeners’ arms. As such, maybe some fans are still a bit hesitant to take anything as true confirmation, despite his slow but sure musical return. For example, he recently featured on close colleague Chase B’s newest single “Ring Ring” alongside frequent collaborator Quavo, Cactus Jack signee Don Tolvier, and Ty Dolla $ign. Furthermore, previous features also hint at a prompt studio album comeback.

Travis Scott Played Utopia In The Locker Room

In addition, him and Offset teased new music together while performing at Rolling Loud Thailand, which only added to speculation instead of holding fans over. Despite his clues, it’s not the only avenue that Travis Scott remains active in. One other lane is his sneaker collaborations, the latest of which was unveiled to be a Nike Mac Attack collab. Sure, he just wore it instead of announcing it for public sale, but it’s still an indicator of another team-up. On the other hand, the “Trance” MC also previewed a new remix with Kodak Black of Lil Blessin’s “Likka Sto.”

Meanwhile, we’ve only been able to see the 32-year-old through his occasional performances as of late. During that same nightclub show where he premiered the Yak remix, he also gave a fan $5K. If you were that fan, would you take the money with a smile or beg him to drop Utopia instead? Regardless, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Travis Scott and his next album.

Russ’ ‘On The Way’ Is A Timid, Brief Account Of His Strive Towards Success

Earlier this year, Russ promised fans that he would drop a new song on a weekly basis for the foreseeable future. It’s an act that the singer did earlier in his career to bring attention and familiarity to his name, and with all the success he’s accumulated up until today, it’s clear that it worked for him. With that being said, it’s no surprise that the Atlanta native went back to it after the strong 2020 he had. His latest release is “On The Way,” a timid, brief track that finds him emphasizing his tunnel vision approach towards life to his family, friends, and women he frequents himself with.

While 2021 might the year of singles for Russ, 2020 was focused on projects. He kicked things off with his third album, Shake The Snow Globe, a 14-track effort that saw contributions from Benny The Butcher, Rick Ross, Bia, and more. He later served up a deluxe reissue for the project with eight new songs and help from Ty Dolla Sign and Westside Boogie. To close off the year, he returned with Chomp, a 6-track EP that saw him stand beside some of the best lyrical talents the music industry has to offer. This includes Ab-Soul, Benny The Butcher, Kxng Crooked, and more.

On a more recent note, Russ has dropped numerous singles that include “Satisfy,” “Lucky,” “Private,” “Status,” and “Small Talk.”

You can listen to the new song in the video above.

Ty Dolla Sign is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
