Kevin Durant and Nike have announced a lifetime deal.
Relationship between Durant and Nike began in 2007 when Durant signed with the company as a rookie player for the Seattle Supersonics. Since then, the collaboration has created 15 signature shoes, with a 16th on the way. The Durant Family Foundation and Team Durant, Kevin’s EYBL program, have worked together on court renovations in underserved communities worldwide as part of the collaboration. Nike has long backed Kevin’s commitment to grassroots basketball.
As part of the lifetime agreement, footwear, apparel, and a community and charitable initiative supporting grassroots basketball will all continue to be offered. With this agreement, Durant joins an exclusive group of Nike athletes and, in the basketball world, follows LeBron James and Michael Jordan.
“When I first signed with Nike, I couldn’t have dreamed of how far we’d go in this partnership,” Durant said of the deal. “We’ve done amazing work creatively and philanthropically. After his MVP season in 2014, Durant re-signed with Nike on a reported ten-year $300 million deal. According to Forbes, the Phoenix Suns star has invested in over 80 companies through his firm ThirtyFive Ventures. Durant founded ThirtyFive Ventures with his agent/manager Rich Kleinman. In 2019, Durant reportedly made $35 million from off-the-court investments.
Durant owns small stakes in Postmates and the investment app Acorns. Durant is also involved in many sports-related ventures including an equity stake in the Overtime app. Along with this, Durant purchased a 5% stake in the Philadelphia Union of the MLS. Recent additions to ThirtyFive Ventures include OpenSea. Durant is also backing SeatGeek’s SPAC merger. Yes, that’s right, in 2012 we will get a retro release of the Nike Air Foamposite one “Galaxy.” This is going to be mind-blowing news for any sneakerhead. However, it is going to be good news, all the same. Firstly, this sneaker is known for having a shell that is filled with blue and purple galaxy aesthetics. Secondly, the shoe has a black upper portion, while the outsole has a glow in the dark quality to it. Overall, this shoe just has everything going for it. No, it can’t be worn with anything, but who cares? At this point, it has earned its place in the sneaker Hall of Fame.
At the time of writing this, there is no release date associated with the Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy.” However, we do know that these should be coming out in the Spring of 2024. One of the greatest sneakers out on the market would have to be the Nike Air Force 1 Low. For decades, this has been one of the premier sneakers on the market. One of the examples of this is the Nike Air Force 1 Low Split. The premise of this shoe is actually quite simple. Essentially, the Nike swoosh is split into two parts on the side. Moreover, the swoosh on the medial side is not the same as the swoosh on the main side. This leads to some very interesting colorways that fans have already been able to cop on the market. As soon as you look at this shoe, you get some Charlotte Hornets vibes. This is thanks to the fact that the shoe bears the same colors as the Hornets’ uniforms. Firstly, we get a white leather base, with the white appearing on the toe box and side panels. Secondly, we get a nice shade of blue on the overlays. From there, purple appears on the Nike swoosh with some blue showing up on the back half. Lastly, the outsole is a mix of purple at the front half and blue at the back.

Moreover, she took to Twitter to express her critiques and her “outrage” over the social media influencer promoting the brand’s sports bras.
