Kyle Juszczyk Was Very Proud Taylor Swift Wore A Custom Jacket Made By His Wife, Kristin, To Dolphins-Chiefs

With temperatures below zero and a wind chill of -30 degrees, going to the Dolphins-Chiefs Wild Card game in Kansas City was no small task for fans of both teams. The most famous of those is Taylor Swift, and despite the frigid temperatures she made her way to Arrowhead to cheer on Travis Kelce and the Chiefs — of course, with the perks of a climate-controlled suite.

As is always the case, her arrival drew plenty of attention and this time she had many fans talking about the incredible custom Kelce jersey jacket she was wearing.

That jacket was made by Kristin Juszczyk, the wife of 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk. Kyle, who was on a bye week for Wild Card weekend, saw the attention the jacket was getting and made sure he let everyone know it was his wife’s handiwork that crafted the jacket so many were talking about, in a very strong effort in online husbanding.

It’s very cool how proud Kyle is of Kristin’s jacket getting so much attention and making sure he did his part to get her the publicity she deserved for her work. Deebo Samuel wore a custom vest made by Kristin recently to a Niners game, but it’s a whole different level when you get the biggest pop star on the planet in your jacket, and she should get recognition for the creation.

Bill Belichick Could Join Playoff Team, Adam Schefter Claims

Adam Schefter has claimed that the next landing spot of Bill Belichick isn’t limited to only teams with vacancies. “We talked about this with Tom Brady when he became a free agent. Every team with a quarterback had to make a decision. Do we want to roll with Tom Brady or do we want to roll with our quarterback? And I think it’s similar with teams and their coaches. There may be a team out there out of the playoffs, in the playoffs, that has a head coach, that this morning woke up to the news that Bill Belichick is a free agent. And that owner is asking himself, ‘Is my franchise better off with the current head coach that I have or me making the dramatic move to turn to a man who’s 15 wins away from setting the all-time win record and breaking Don Shula’s record?’” Schefter said.

There are currently seven teams with vacancies in the NFL. However, given that Belichick became a free agent so recently, it’s unclear if any teams have reached out to interview him. Despite beginning his coaching career in 1975, Belichick has not worked for any of the six other teams with vacancies.

Don’t Hire Bill Belichick As A GM, Asante Samuel Warns

Meanwhile, Asante Samuel has sent a warning to Bill Belichick’s next employer – keep the legendary coach as a coach only and not, as he had been in New England, general manager also. “If any owner would give Bill Belichick that power again, that would be crazy,” Samuel, who played for Belichick between 2003 and 2007, told TMZ. Belichick served in the dual role of head coach and general manager since taking the helm at Foxoboro in 2000.

However, Belichick the GM often got in the way of Belichick the head coach. After picking eight Pro Bowlers (and one Hall of Famer) in the first round between 2001 and 2012, Belichick has drafted just one first-round Pro Bowler in the last 11 years. Over time, Belichick the GM caught up with Belichick the head coach. Poor choices in the draft and free agency gave Belichick a diminishing product to coach on the field.

Bill Belichick Leaves The Patriots

Belichick parted ways with the Patriots after 24 years earlier this week. The news was first reported by ESPN, and finally answered one of the biggest coaching uncertainties of the NFL offseason. According to insiders with knowledge of the situation, the decision was mutual and amicable. Belichick had one year left on his contract and was allowed to leave the Patriots freely without seeking compensation. Additionally, the veteran coach is expected to draw some interest from some of the other seven teams with head coaching vacancies.

As for New England, sources have reported that Jerod Mayo will take over as head coach. A first-round draft pick of the Patriots, Mayo has served as a linebackers coach since 2019. He is expected to be formally announced next week. Mayo has a lot of locker room support. Some players openly hoped that he would get the job after Belichick’s departure. Furthermore, the team will have a lot of decisions to make, such as their quarterback going forward. The team holds the No. 3 pick in the 2024 draft and is projected to take 2023 Heisman-winning quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Tom Brady Posts Heartfelt Tribute To Bill Belichick After Coach’s Firing

Tom Brady took to social media to pay tribute to Bill Belichick after it was announced that Belichick had left the New Patriots. “I’m incredibly grateful to have played for the best coach in the history of the NFL. He was a great leader for the organization, and for all of the players who played for him. We accomplished some amazing things over a long period of time, many of which will be hard to replicate. He worked every day to help us achieve the ultimate goal, in the ultimate team sport,” Brady’s Instagram post began.

Furthermore, he talked about the personal impact Belichick’s coaching had on his career. “And, although we were successful, some of the greatest lessons I learned were in the moments where we faced the most challenging adversities. He set the tone for the organization. To never falter in the face of adversity, and to do what we could do, and what was in our control, which was to go out and DO OUR JOB. I could never have been the player I was without you Coach Belichick. I am forever grateful. And I wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose next,” Brady continued.

Bill Belichick was announced to be leaving his position as head coach of the New England Patriots after 24 seasons earlier today. The news, first reported by ESPN, finally answers one of the biggest coaching uncertainties of the NFL offseason.

As for New England, their next head coach is likely to be an internal hire. Linebackers coach Jerod Mayo, previously identified by owner Robert Kraft as a potential head coach in the making, is expected to be the frontrunner for the now-vacant position. Furthermore, the team will have a lot of decisions to make, such as their quarterback going forward. The team holds the No. 3 pick in the 2024 draft. Travis Kelce Will Play In 2024

Travis Kelce has confirmed that he intends to play the 2024 season with the Chiefs. “I have no reason to stop playing football. I love [playing with the Chiefs]. We still have success, come in with the right mindset, and I just love the challenge that it gives me every single day to try and be at my best. I have no desire to stop anytime soon,” Kelce said Thursday.

Furthermore, the 34-year-old tight end said he had contemplated retirement but simply wasn’t in a place to think about life without the Chiefs just yet. “I’ve been fortunate to do a few things outside of the sports world that I’ve been enjoying doing, like getting on camera. The [Saturday Night Live] stuff kind of opened up a new happiness and maybe a new career path for me. But it’s funny for me to even say that at this point in my career. I think it’s so much further down the road than it is right now,” Kelce added. The 11-6 Chiefs open their Super Bowl defense with a wildcard matchup against Miami.

Travis Kelce & Chiefs Ready For Sub-Zero Playoff Game

Meanwhile, the aforementioned game between the Chiefs and Dolphins is expected to be one of the coldest in NFL history. Daytime highs in Kansas City are projected at 12 degrees. However, with the game set to begin at 7pm, the temperature could be as low as -3 degrees come kickoff. There is also an expected amount of high wind chill. This could majorly affect the game, and the team’s strategies. But both sides are going to want to bundle up warm.

If the temperature does hit -3, then it would become the fifth-coldest game in playoff history. The record is the 1967 “Ice Bowl”, which had a game-time temperature of -13 and a wind chill temperature of -48. However, the cold weather conditions could pose a problem for Miami. The Dolphins haven’t won a game played below 40 degrees since Christmas Eve 2016. Saturday, if projected temperatures are reached, will be the coldest game in Dolphins history.

Nick Saban, Long-Time Friend Of Bill Belichick, Retires

However, Belichick is not the only veteran coach moving on. His long-time friend Nick Saban announced on January 10 that he was retiring after 17 years at Alabama and over half a century in coaching. Saban led Alabama to six national titles and finished the 2023 season with a Rose Bowl loss to eventual champions Michigan. Saban’s coaching journey began all the way back in 1973 as a graduate assistant at Kent State. His first head coaching role was at Toledo in 1990. He would hold the same position at Michigan State, LSU, and the Miami Dolphins before coming to Alabama in 2007. He immediately turned around an ailing program, turning them into them into the powerhouse they are today.

Saban, who turned 72 last October, has previously been coy about retirement. I’ve always said that if you’re thinking about retirement, you’re probably already retired, and I’m not there yet,” Saban told ESPN in November. Furthermore Saban ends his career with a record of 292-71-1 in 28 total seasons as a college head coach. He has seven National championships, 12 conference titles, and 19 bowl game victories. Alabama are expected to remain a title contender in 2024.

Aaron Rodgers Receives Jets Players’ “Most Inspirational” End-Of-Season Award

Sidelined quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been received the Jets’ “Most Inspirational Player” award, as voted on by the other players. “I’ve said it a million times: He loves his teammates, and his teammates love him. He’s so intentional with how he approaches everybody in the building. He’s very thoughtful in the way he does things, and he’s a tremendous human. Aaron is really well deserving of this award,” head coach Robert Salah said.

Not only is Rodgers seen as an “ideal” teammate, but his expedited return from a torn Achilles served as motivation for the rest of the team. While Rodgers would ultimately admit he was not ready to play again, his return to practice just two-and-a-half months after undergoing surgery to repair his torn Achilles was nothing short of miraculous. Despite this, Rodgers maintained that he would return to play for the team if they were still playoff contenders.

Aaron Rodgers Goes After Jimmy Kimmel

However, not everyone loves Rodgers. Jimmy Kimmel has warned Rodgers that he could pursue legal action against the sidelined quarterback after Rodgers made comments tying Kimmel to Jeffrey Epstein. During his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers specifically named Kimmel as someone who “doesn’t want” a now-partially list of names previously redacted in a civil suit filed before Epstein’s death to be made public. The purported list contains around 150 names of people allegedly associated with Epstein and his sex crimes. However, it was not a comment that Kimmel took lightly.

“For the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any ‘list’ other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality. Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court,” Kimmel wrote on X. Neither Rodgers nor ESPN have commented on the quarterback’s claims. However, Pat McAfee did offer an apology the day after Rodgers’ comments.

Tyreek Hill House Fire Cause Revealed

The fire at the home of Tyreek Hill was caused by a child playing with a cigarette lighter in a bedroom of the home, a local fire marshal has revealed. “It was an accidental fire,” Davie Fire Marshal Robert Taylor told The Associated Press. Taylor declined to identify anything more about the child who started the fire or the extent of the damage that was done to the house. Hill left Dolphins training earlier after receiving word of the fire. The home is located 30 miles outside of Miami. Hill paid $6.9 million for the home in 2020 after being traded to Miami.

Furthermore, Hill’s agent confirmed the rumors that all residents of the house were able to evacuate safely. “He and his family are safe. No one was injured. No one, no pets, so for that, we’re very grateful. We’re very grateful to the firefighters that put the fire out. Thankfully, the fire was contained to a limited area in the home. Obviously, there’ll be some smoke and water damage. It’s very difficult for anybody obviously to have your home catch on fire, but Tyreek was handling it, he and his family, with as much poise as you could hope,” Drew Rosenhaus said.

Tyreek Hill Still Chasing History

Hill’s status for Sunday’s game against the Bills remains unknown. Hill enters the game with 1717 receiving yards on the season. That means he needs 248 yards to set the new single-season receiving record and 283 yards to reach his season goal of 2000 yards. There are 34 248+-yard games and 11 283+-yard games in NFL history. Hill’s career best is 269 against the Buccs in 2020.

However, the most yardage from a single receiver the Bills have allowed this season is 122 to Calvin Ridley. Hill himself only had 59 yards when the teams met earlier this season. While Hill will finish the year with a fantastic season, and so should absolutely be in the MVP discussion, it will take a complete collapse from Buffalo in a do-or-die game for Hill to find his way into the history books.

Panthers Owner Fined After Throwing Drink At Jags Fan

The NFL has fined Panthers owner David Tepper $300K after he was spotted throwing a drink at Jags fans from his open-air suite. The moment came as the Panthers were shut out 26-0 by the hometown Jags. The team was playing without Trevor Lawrence for the first time since they drafted him. “I should have let NFL stadium security handle any issues that arose. I respect the NFL’s code of conduct and accept the League’s discipline for my behavior,” Tepper said in a statement. The video was originally uploaded to social media by a Jags fan in a nearby suite. However, as the league’s second-richest owner, the fine is 0.000001% of his net worth.

The loss ended the Panthers’ 342-game streak without a shutout. Furthermore, it is one of the lowest points in an overall terrible season. Despite grabbing Bryce Young first overall in the 2023 Draft, the team started 0-5 and currently sit at 2-14. Tepper fired head coach Frank Reich earlier in the season, the third head coach Tepper has dismissed since buying the team in 2018. Of course, chants of “sell the team” could be heard intermittently throughout the game. On the field, the Panthers generated less than 200 yards of total offense.

Panthers Secure First Overall Pick…For The Bears

Furthermore, the shutout loss means that the Panthers secured the first-overall pick in the 2024 Draft. However, thanks to the trade that landed them Young, the Bears will pick at No. 1 instead when April rolls around. If the Bears opt to stick with Justin Fields, the NFL could see Chicago trade the No. 1 pick for the second year in a row. Furthermore, the 7-9 Bears are expected to have a top-10 selection with their own natural 2024 pick.

As with the 2023 Draft, quarterbacks are expected to head the first few picks. Caleb Williams (USC), Drake Maye (North Carolina), and Heisman winner Jayden Daniels (LSU) are all expected to be off the board in the first three picks. Furthermore, J.J. McCarthy (Michigan) and Michael Penix Jr (Washington) could sneak into the first round. Given the latest draft projections, this will likely see Chicago, Washington, and New England debut rookie starters in 2024.
