However, it has become increasingly clear that he would leave the team in free agency. The team had no interest in a franchise tag, and they were essentially letting Barkley walk. Today, players could sign with new teams, and Barkley made his decision just about an hour ago. As you will see, it was a bombshell.
Barkley is now going to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants’ division rival will now get the services of a dominant running back. Of course, this was explosive news and Giants fans were the victims of it all. Now, they have to face Barkley twice a year, and there is no doubt that he will be motivated to go up against his former team. As for the contract itself, he will be getting $37.75 million over three years and $26 million is guaranteed. Moreover, he has incentives that can bring his entire deal up to $46.75 million.

For years, Kelce has had a typical fade. Overall, it is a look that was first used by black men and the technique itself was perfected by black barbers. However, the NYT was dubbing this the “Travis Kelce Cut.” Subsequently, many felt disrespected by the report as it completely ignored the history of the haircut.
Kelce is hardly the first man to wear his hair this way, and he will not be the last. However, some continue to act like he somehow invented this haircut. Well, last night was media day for the Super Bowl, and he got to field a ton of questions on a variety of topics. Of course, many wanted to hear about the new Taylor Swift album that is coming out. One journalist ended up asking him about his haircut and what he thought of the controversy. As he explained, he never created it. He is well aware of this and wants it to be crystal clear.
Kelce notes that when he goes to see his barber, he asks for a fade and that is what he gets, no other questions asked. If you are an NFL fan, you know that those who support the 49ers and the Raiders don’t exactly love each other. Overall, these fans used to just be a bridge away from one another. On one hand, you had the 49ers fans in San Francisco. Subsequently, the Raiders fans were in Oakland. These days, however, the Raiders fans are in Las Vegas. That said, there are still quite a few supports in the Bay Area with lots of resentment towards those in San Fran. Unfortunately, that showed at a Santa Clara In-N-Out over the weekend.
According to TMZ, fans of the 49ers and the Raiders were at the local In-N-Out when all hell broke loose. Fans started brawling in the middle of the dining area, and bodies were flying. Additionally, some patrons were left bloody as cops had a hard time pulling people from each other. Overall, it was not a great scene, especially since it was reported that two people were also stabbed. They were subsequently taken to the hospital and treated for injuries. Thankfully, they are going to be okay.
At the time of writing this, no one has been charged for the fight. However, the man who stabbed two people is currently on the run. Police are looking for him, but for now, they have yet to get anywhere. As you all know, fights between fanbases happen all the time. However, they usually take place at the stadium where the two teams are playing. Instead, this incident was far from the arena, after a preseason game that didn’t even involve the Raiders.
Hopefully, fans start to calm down a bit over the coming years. It feels like these fights have gotten out of hand, especially with two people being stabbed. Deion Sanders is set to have a very interesting season in Colorado. Overall, he is one of the best coaches in the NCAA. However, this is going to be his very first year since leaving Jackson State. This is something that has stayed with his family for years. He even had some toes removed as a result of the complications. Furthermore, he recently shared that he could have his entire foot removed as the blood clots continue to give him some problems. Ultimately, there is no telling what something like this could mean for his coaching career. Although no matter what, it is not an ideal situation to be in.
According to Pat McAfee of The Pat McAfee show, Deion Sanders is going through another emergency. This time, he will be having surgery on his groin to remove another blood clot. McAfee seemed quite somber about the whole thing, although he and his castmates were quick to offer their best regards to the NFL legend. Overall, this is pretty scary stuff. Johnson is part-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Sparks, and even Los Angeles FC in the MLS. However, there is one sport he is still trying to get into, and that’s football. The NFL is one of the best organizations in the world, and everyone would love to own one of its 32 teams. Unfortunately, teams only come up for sale every few years.
Although, the Washington Commanders are currently being sold by Dan Snyder. Snyder is not very well-liked in NFL circles, and with potential scandals on the horizon, he is looking to get out of dodge. This has subsequently led to a bidding war for the team. Everyone wants to get in on this, including Magic Johnson. As we reported recently, he was part of a group that just bid $6 billion on the team. They do have competition, however, as a Canadian billionaire put in a very similar offer.
While appearing on The Today Show, Magic Johnson was asked about his recent bid and how he feels about it all. Of course, Johnson is very excited about the prospect of owning the Commanders. However, he is very attuned to the fact that it is beyond his control. Although, he did note that he is hopeful that Dan Snyder will choose his ownership group. After all, it’s better for a team to be in the hands of many than just one person. Snyder has certainly taught us a lesson in that.
If Johnson does become part-owner of the team, then it will be a historic moment. Across sports, there are very few black owners. While he would have a minority stake, his participation is still extremely significant. Hopefully, Snyder makes the right decision and brings the legend on board. Odell Beckham Jr. used to be one of the best receivers in the entire NFL. Now, however, he is coming off of a season in which he didn’t get to play. Overall, this was due to an ACL injury that he sustained in the Super Bowl. However, OBJ did try to get back on the field this year. He tried out with a plethora of teams, including the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, and New York Giants. Subsequently, none of these teams signed him as there was this sense that he wasn’t ready to come back.
More recently, OBJ was able to host a workout where numerous teams could come and take a look at him. According to reports, about a dozen teams made the trip. However, since that time, there are no indications that a team is ready to sign him. Moreover, no one even knows who would want OBJ at this point. It also doesn’t help that there is this feeling that Odell Beckham Jr. wants to receive $20 million per year. This is simply too much money, and no team would ever pay that for a guy who has gone through two ACL tears.

As a wide receiver who hasn’t played in a full year, teams do not want to take the risk. Moreover, there are so many great wide receivers in the league that the market has already been set. There is simply very little margin for Odell to find himself in a position to get paid. Hopefully, for Odell, a team decides to take a chance on him, sooner rather than later. There’s no question that every NFL team strives to win the big game at the end of the season. From preseason, players and coaches alike push themselves to the limits to attempt a run to the end. The Super Bowl. A large number of teams have achieved the win. The most recent champions being the Kansa City Chiefs. What does it take to have the most Super Bowl wins of all time though?
However, a select few teams have accomplished a level of success that is unmatched. The consistency and drive it takes to reach this type of accomplishment is remarkable. Legendary players, such as Tom Brady, can contribute to this longevity significantly. As we come off of one of the most exciting Super Bowl clashes to date, it is interesting to look back and see those who have earned the most rings.
The Packers have always been a team of great significance. Many star players have been made in Green Bay. With an elite fanbase behind them, players like Aaron Rodgers and Bart Starr have led their respective team to victory a total of five times. Additionally, Bart Starr played quarterback in their first two championships.
Bart Starr and his Packers stood strong against the likes of Kansas City in 1967. They were able to walk away with a massive 35-10 scoreline. The game, which was played at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, served as the first ever Super Bowl in history. Bart also earned the title of MVP for his two touchdowns and 250 passing yards.
The Packers would repeat their efforts again the following year. Although, this time they faced off against the Oakland Raiders. Still, Green Bay dominated in a game that saw them win 33-14. Starr would once again receive the honors of MVP.
Their next Super Bowl win came a long way down the road. 1997 is the year they were able to earn their 3rd title against the New England Patriots. Likewise, the final win came in 2011, putting Green Bay in the list of one of the most accomplished NFL teams in history with 4 titles.
The team that is arguably the most discriminated in the entire NFL. The reputation of the Cowboys remains controversial, but their decorated past can’t be argued. Dallas are indeed a powerhouse with 5 wins to their name. They also made several appearances in the Super Bowl during the 1970s, winning two of their 5 titles in 1972 and 1978.
Dallas has yet to win a championship in the 21st Century. They carried a presence heavily in the league for a large stretch of time. On the other hand, Dallas has failed to make the same impact in recent years. Their last win coming in 1996 over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Dallas undoubtedly will be continuing their hunt for another championship come next season.
Tied for first in most super bowl wins of all time comes a name most are familiar with. Pittsburgh Steelers. Winning is nothing new to them, though they have struggled in recent seasons, there’s no doubt they will return yet again. Pittsburgh has had a Super Bowl win more recently than the Cowboys, winning their last in 2009.
The Steelers are also remembered for one of the most controversial games against the Seahawks in 2006. Many fans believed the officiating was poor in this matchup. Some calls made throughout the game were suspect, but no solid proof of fixing ever came to be. Unfortunately, Seattle would have to wait to earn their first Super Bowl win.
From the mid-70s to early 80s, Pittsburgh actually seemingly dominated the league. They met with Dallas in two different Super Bowls. These games being in 1976 and 1979. Additionally, their other two championships came in 1975 against the Minnesota Vikings, and 1980 against the Los Angeles Rams. While they seem to be the strongest, most decorated team, they share that title with another.
There’s no conversation about the best NFL teams without including the Patriots. As the team who controlled the league for a long period, they stand on top out of all teams. Tom Brady‘s leading era as quarterback is a massive reason as to why this team saw so much success. Without a doubt, this team will always be the standard others hold themselves to.
The entirety of New England’s wins have come in the 2000s. Their good graces began in 2002 against the once called St. Louis Rams. It was a rather close match up, seeing the Patriots sneak away with a win by 3 points. In addition, 2 years later saw their 2nd championship in another close matchup versus the Carolina Panthers.
Just one year later, the team would add to their trophy cabinet again. In 2005, the Patriots sent the Philadelphia Eagles home with a loss, a team which the Patriots would end up losing to in 2018. There happened to be time in between their 3rd and 4th Lombardy trophy. The 4th came in 2015, against a Seahawks team that had just won the Super Bowl the year prior. A game in which I watched from home in pain as Russell Wilson through an interception late to give the game to New England.
An additional 2 years later added the 5th trophy to their case, a game that Atlanta Falcons fans surely will never forget. Possibly the biggest comeback and choke as well, the Patriots found their way back. They were down in the 3rd quarter, only to claw back and force overtime to eventually seal a win. However, their most recent success story came in 2019 against the same team they won their first against. Only this time, the Rams were back in Los Angeles.
