Pic of Bill Gates’ Daughter With Black Man Spark Debates About Interracial Dating

A photo of the daughter of America’s second richest man getting a kiss on the cheek from her boyfriend has been circulating around the internet and fuels an age-old American conversation about interracial relationships because the man that is kissing her is Black.

Phoebe Gates, the youngest daughter of Microsoft founder Bill Gates, posted a very impactful statement a couple of weeks ago about her opposition against the historic ‘Roe v. Wade abortion case, with the caption alongside her full body photo in a bikini.

“I’m not shy about my body and/or telling you to keep your bans off of it,” Phoebe captioned. “Every person deserves access to sexual and reproductive health care. Right now, the Supreme Court is prepared to end the constitutional right to abortion. Join me and millions of other women in our fight for this basic human right. @PlannedParenthood #BansOffOurBodies.”

That statement was just as integral as the unspoken one in which the 19-year-old Gates posted a picture of her receiving a kiss from who appears to be her boyfriend, who is Black. The above photo has online debates about dating outside of your race as well as outside of your social class, even though the wealth of lack thereof of the man in the pic is not publicly known.

Man Killed Shielding His Son During Highland Park Parade

An attendee at the Highland Park parade died after shielding his 2-year-old son, Aiden, with his body. The father’s name was Kevin McCarthy and his father-in-law spoke to the Chicago Sun-Times in the aftermath of the tragic mass shooting.

“He had Aiden under his body when he was shot,” Aiden’s grandfather, Michael Levberg stated.

Aiden is now without both his father and mother, Irina, who were both killed in the attack. The Sun-Times notes Aiden was left “walking in the street” following the mass shooting.

Michael was able to get his grandson from the Highland Park police station.

A neighbor passed by, she showed me the picture, it was Aiden,” Michael Levberg said. “I picked him up at the police station.”

Michael revealed the couple had a plan for having a second child.

Ever since the “Eric B. For President” single featuring a young Long Islander named Rakim Allah was released in the summer of ’86 (which was produced by Marley Marl), the fans were feigning for more of the God with the slow flow, so the two were scooped up by Russell Simmons and the genesis of Paid In Full began.

As the prototype album of Hip Hop’s “Golden Era”, everything from song arrangement, album artwork, and even their wardrobe on the album cover became iconic items of that time period. Manufactured and distributed by indie label Zakia/4th and Broadway Records, the album’s anticipation and response was so unprecedented, it earned the duo a new contract with Uni Records for the sophomore project.

A few of the ten-track classic’s stand-out songs include “Move The Crowd”, “I Ain’t No Joke”, “I Know You Got Soul” and the classic title track, “Paid In Full”.

Even though Eric B. and Rakim just reunited as a group in 2018, this album solidified them as one of the greatest Hip Hop duo’s in the culture’s history and we here at The Source salute them for that. Peace!

Happy 47th Birthday 50 Cent! Fif’s Realest Rap Beefs

Screen Shot 2022 07 06 at 5.36.27 PM

Born on this date in 1975, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is undoubtedly one of the most influential forces in the game today. From music to movies to successful business ventures, Fif has always stayed on top of his game ever since he made his unconventional entrance at the end of the last millennium.

What has always kept 50’s name in the people’s mouths is the fact that he always had someone else’s name in his! Not to be confused with the common studio gangster, 50 has not only survived, but remained triumphant and relevant after all of his beefs.

Here’s a short list of some of Fif’s most mentioned beefs in and out of the studio:

1. Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff

supreme

This beef between street soldier and kingpin became a story reminiscent of David and Goliath, with 50 Cent battling the most feared gangster in his Jamaica, Queens hometown. This riff was depicted in 50’s blockbuster film Get Rich Or Die Tryin’. The real ending? Fif is a successful businessman and Supreme is currently in a federal supermax correctional facility for life. According to recent reports, however, an appeals court has now forced a federal judge to reconsider Supreme’s appeal for a sentence reduction.

2. Big Pun

Big Pun_1

On 50’s first widely recognized track “How To Rob” featuring The Madd Rapper, he creatively spits scenarios about him catching several of your favorite rappers and R&B singers slipping. One of them happened to be the Terror Squad top recruit, the late Big Pun, who didn’t take it very lightly. On Pun’s Yeeeaah Baby! album, he tells Fif on one of the tracks, “I’m gonna make a song called ‘How I beat your fuckin ass’…”. Nothing never happened off wax with this beef and Pun passed suddenly on February 7, 2000.

3. The Game

Screen Shot 2021 07 06 at 8.55.25 AM

With the G-Unit at the top of the rap tier at the turn of the 21st Century, if you weren’t with them, you and your crew were definitely getting rolled over. The Game, who happened to be the only recruit on the Guerrilla Unit squad that wasn’t from the East Coast, made the mistake by believing that his career would remain afloat without 50. With no help against the barrage of battle records from G-Unit to the unsuccessful “Boycott G-Unit” campaign, it’s safe to say that Fif come out on top of this one.

4. Rick Ross

rickross

The Bawse seemed to be the only artist that has even been able to maintain his relevance after beef with Mr. Jackson. Ironically, this beef started over an alleged wrong look at the BET Awards towards Ross. These two traded bars until Fif came out with the “Officer Ricky” track, in which 50 promised told Rozay “Ima fuck your life up for fun’. At the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards in ATL, Gunplay from Ross’ Maybach Music Group allegedly had his chain snatched and Fif was seen wearing the chain days later.

5. Ja Rule

50-cent-ja-rule

His battle with 50 Cent should’ve been a warning to the rest of the artist who came after him with a problem with the Queens MC. These two were from the same hood, which made the beef that much more personal. While 50 claims that Rule hid behind the protection of “Supreme” McGriff, who was suspected of facilitating the unsuccessful hit on Jackson, Rule maintained a successful career until the continuous physical confrontations and vicious shots proved to be too much for certified platinum Murder Inc. artist. Last year, these two bumped heads on a flight, but time must have healed old wounds because the two just greeted each other with a “what’s up” as they flew together.

Wu Tang Clan member and actor Method man opened up on Math Hoffa’s podcast My Expert Opinion about his appearance on “The What” from Notorious B.I.G.’s debut album Ready To Die.

Meth explains that when he entered the studio to record the song in 1994, “By the time I got [to the studio], Biggie’s verse was written and he told me that he wanted to end it with, ‘You can’t mess with M-E’ and I was supposed to go, ‘T-H-O-D.’ But I overlapped him because it didn’t fall on beat doing it that way. That’s where the ‘T-H-O-D Man, here I am/I’ll be damned if this ain’t some sh*t.’”

Meth added, “I wrote that shit quick as f**k. Who was I biting there? Whose flow was I [biting]? Nas. That’s biting Nas’ flow. ‘I’ll be damned if this ain’t some sh*t/Come to spread the butter lyrics over hominy grits… Coming where you rest at, surrender/Step inside the ring, you’s the number one contender/Looking cold-booty like your p***y in December.’”

Jam Master Jay Murder Suspect Also Named In 1995 Killing Of Tupac Associate

Screen Shot 2022 07 06 at 9.53.35 AM

The most commonly mentioned suspect in the the 2002 murder of Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell is now also said to be a suspect in the killing of Tupac’s longtime friend/collaborator Randy “Stretch” Walker in Queens in 1995.

Prosecutors claim that they have at least three witnesses that Ronald “Tinard” Washington was the man who shot and killed Stretch during an attempt to shoot Stretch’s brother Christopher “Majesty” Walker in 1995. The prosecution also alleges that they ID’d a person that was in the car with Washington when the shooting occurred, but that witness would have to plead the Fifth amendment in order to testify.

Fingers have pointed at Washington in the Stretch murder since the early 2000s, but he was never charged. Federal prosecutors brought up the Stretch homicide during Washington’s 2007 robbery case, but the judge refused to hear the accusation.

Ronald Washington and Karl “Little D” Jordan remain in federal custody for the murder of Jam Master Jay allegedly because of a disagreement over a 10-kilo cocaine deal. Prosecutors claim that Jay was connected to a high ranking Black Mafia Family associate and threatened to cut Washington out of the deal three months before he was murdered. Prosecutors claim that both men stormed Mizell’s Queens studio, with Washington ordering everyone to the floor to provide cover for Jordan, who ultimately shot and killed the world famous DJ. The defense claims that the prosecution’s 18-year delay, unreliable witnesses and Jordan’s alibi counters the prosecution’s allegations.

Screen Shot 2022 07 06 at 9.46.20 AM 1

The defense has moved to try the two men’s cases separately, with Stretch’s killing allegedly being loosely tied to the 1994 robbery and shooting of Tupac in Quad Studios, which occurred exactly one year prior to Walker’s death.

Prosecutors allege that Walker had a long running feud with the Young Guns, a crew associated with Stretch’s brother Majesty. Washington was named as a member of the Hollis Juniors Crew, a rival of the Young Guns who allegedly killed Washington’s brother.

In a court filing, prosecutors wrote about Washington’s involvement in Stretch’s murder, “At the time, (Washington) believed that he was firing at Young Guns member (Majesty), (Stretch’s) brother.” Majesty and Stretch were part of a rap group known as the Live Squad. After his Stretch’s death, Majesty started Grand Imperial Records with E-Money Bags, who was shot and killed in 2001 allegedly at the order of Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff.

Court records show that the trial is scheduled for February 2023.
