Ice Spice Previews New Song, Says London Smells Like Trash

Ice Spice recently took to TikTok to share a snippet of an upcoming track. Though the song remains nameless, fans rushed to the comments section to beg her to drop it. She previewed the high-energy track alongside a series of fun photos. The “Munch (Feelin’ U)” rapper is some of the hottest new talent right now, and her fanbase is itching to hear more. Her last release was a collaboration with Nicki Minaj for the Barbie soundtrack, “Barbie World.” She previously worked alongside Nicki on the hit remix of “Princess Diana.”

The 23-year-old also recently shared her funny take on London. During an interview with BBC Radio 1, Ice Spice discussed visiting the city. “I love it here,” she said, “It kind of reminds me of New York a little bit.” When the host says the two cities have similar a culture, she agrees. “And the smell is [similar] too,” the rapper adds, “I think yesterday was garbage day.”

Ice Spice Teases New Song

During another recent interview, Ice Spice expressed her love for her “Barbie World” collaborator. She explained that she’s gotten good advice from Nicki, who tells her to learn from the mistakes she’s made in her own career. “I love to talk to her about things that I can’t talk about publicly – it just means so much to be able to have somebody like her,” she explained. Ice Spice went on to say that Nicki also taught her how to speak up for herself. “Being around her showed me that you really gotta hold your ground,” she explained, “You’ve really got to say ‘no’ when it’s time to say ‘no.’”

Last week, Ice Spice also revealed that there’s a remix of her hit song “Munch (Feelin’ U)” floating around. She said that she’ll “probably leak it” at some point, claiming that the remix even features British rapper Central Cee.

Mick Jenkins Brings The Vibes With JID On “Smoke Break-Dance”

Mick Jenkins is keeping his prolific streak alive. The Chicago rapper and poet has appeared on one single after another all year. He began the year by teaming up with Venna on the hit song “Casa Lopez” which also features Masego. Since then he’s contributed to songs from numerous other artists. Louis VI, LOTTO, Keem, and Kyle KcEnvoy have all dropped new singles with contributions from Jenkins. Now Mick Jenkins has turned to releasing his own material. His first single “The Truth” dropped back in March and saw him teaming up with producer Deep Thought.

His newest material is a song called “Smoke Break-Dance.” The song has a vintage jazzy flair courtesy of producer Stoic. While Mick Jenkins delivers a pretty hard-hitting series of bars his performance is so smooth that it fits in with the infectious vibe. He also teamed up with one of the smoothest and most lyrically gifted MCs out there, JID. JID is coming off a great 2022 where he dropped one of the most acclaimed rap albums of the year, The Forever Story. The album was packed full of great features from artists like 21 Savage, Earthgang, Baby Tate, Lil Durk, Lil Wayne, and more. Following the release of the album JID went on a feature streak that saw him providing a number of impressive verses on other artists’ songs.

Alongside the release of the the song, Mick Jenkins also dropped an accompanying music video. It also came with the announcement of a new album called The Patience. The record is scheduled to drop on August 18th via Cinematic Records.

He has been delivering these songs the last few Wednesdays, and as it turns out, this is going to be a consistent thing. Given the name of the track and the context around it, you could probably guess that this was going to be a love song. Overall, Logic pours his heart out on the song and gives us some vocals, unlike anything we have heard from him before. These soulful vocal lines go a long way, and they make us hope for a follow-up to this sound. Logic is an artist who is quite versatile, and it would be great to hear at least an EP full of songs like this.

When the song was first released, a lot of fans were wondering what happened to the original version they had heard in snippets. This version featured some extra vocals from Travis Scott at the beginning. Well, Chase B was paying attention to a lot of your comments. We know this because he just came through with an official “Extended Version” of the track. This version is only 19 seconds longer, however, the extra sonics go a very long way here.

More Travis Scott Ahead Of “UTOPIA”

Firstly, the song opens up with some extra vocal lines from Travis Scott, who adds an extra bit of atmosphere to the track. Moreover, the verses from Don Toliver, Ty Dolla $ign, and Quavo remain largely untouched. That said, the song is still a great bop for the summer, and it will be hard for fans to deny that.
