Calboy And Skilla Baby Link Up For New Single “Gang Time”

Calboy has been a pretty controversial figure in hip-hop during his tenure in the industry. During the whole year of 2022, it seemed he could never really stay out of the headlines for all of the wrong reasons. Whether it would be with holding grudges with labels, beefing with rappers, or getting into legal trouble, he was always putting himself in tough spots. It appears he is more well-known for those altercations, as well as being the cousin to the late rapper, King Von.

However, this time we are talking about Calboy because his back with another single. The Chicago artist already has four other songs out from this year. Those include, “Stargaze,” “She Know (In Too Deep),” “Trippin’ Bout It,” and “On My Own.” All four of those were solo tracks, but this fifth one breaks that streak.

Doja Cat’s “Wet Vagina” Song Calls Out Kardashian Family’s “Pretty, Plastic” Faces

Due to near-constant trolling and feuding with her fans, Doja Cat had us thinking that her career was coming to an end earlier this year. Thankfully she managed to deliver her Scarlet album this past New Music Friday (September 22), complete with 17 songs and no features. It finds her exploring far different sounds than we heard of 2021’s Planet Her, such as a nod to Griselda’s distinct work on her controversial “Balut” single. Aside from her team’s incredible production, Doja also has our attention with her lyrics, some of which appear to discuss her relationship with J. Cyrus.

The “Say So” singer’s union with the embattled comedian was a major source of contention for some “Kittenz” as they came forward to share their stories of abuse with Doja. No matter what the world has to say about her man, on “Agora Hills” she makes it clear that she’s in the mood for marriage. In addition to the subliminal messages about Cyrus that appear throughout, the internet is also talking about the 27-year-old’s name-drop of the Kardashian family on “Wet Vagina.”

Doja Cat’s Scarlet Album Has Hip-Hop Heads Intrigued

“Tell me why ol’ shorty walkin’ like she got a stick in her a**?”” Doja asks on the early fan favourite track. “And pretty face, plastic, it’s givin’ Kardashian.” Of course, the famous siblings have been called out for skirting the truth around their history of plastic surgery in the past. However, recent years have seen them using their platforms more transparently, with youngest sister Kylie Jenner even recently admitting to having a breast augmentation several years ago.

Doja Cat’s bars about Kim Kardashian and her sisters may not be entirely flattering, but still, all publicity is good on some level. The mother of four has been in the spotlight a ton as we move into fall, most recently thanks to her acting performance in the latest season of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story. Read what viewers have been saying about the first episode at the link below, and check back later for more music/pop culture news updates.

Money Man Quickly Follows Up “Red Eye” With New Project “Catch Me If You Can”

New York-bred and Georgia-raised rapper, Money Man, is one of the hardest-working artists in the game. Some people might frown upon musicians who put out too much material. However, there is a crowd that will always be in demand for a continuous output of music. Money Man has the latter of those fans and that is why he is already back with another full-length project.

His last effort was put out on March 17 and that was titled, Red Eye. It was a 15-song, 34-minute-long offering with three features. Babyface Ray, Peezy, and Juney Knotzz were placed on the sparing list of guests. However, this is nothing new for Money Man. For the most part, the melodic trap rapper likes to allow his voice and presence to shine on his albums. That is the case here with his second LP of the year.

Doe Boy And Skilla Baby Are Ruthless On “Smack Sh*t”

The Ohio rap scene is one of the more underrated hot spots for rap talent. Quite a few stars were born in the blue-collar state. You have the likes of Kid Cudi, DaBaby, Trippie Redd, Latto, MGK, and of course the Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony clan. But one that gets little to no spotlight is Doe Boy. A Cleveland native, his gritty tone and brash style of rapping is something that is definitely influenced in his music.

He might not be the most technically-skilled rapper but his approach to production is very unique. This was enough to impress the likes of Future. The founder of the music group Freebandz signed Doe Boy in 2019. Since then, the trap icon has taken him under his wing and he has produced some hits over the past couple of years.

The wildly entertaining and up-and-coming rapper, 2Rare has just put out his debut album. The Philly native has not been in the game for that long, as he began his career right around 2020. Rome Streetz And Joey Bada$$ Are A Dynamic Duo On “Fire At Ya Idle Mind”

Born in London and raised in New York, Rome Streetz is one of the most underrated lyrical masters in the rap game. Since the mid to late 2010s, he has been a consistent material dropper, yet he continues to fly under the radar. But, he is having a big 2023 for those who are not aware. He has been a part of many collaboration singles in addition to quite a few albums. Streetz will be featured on another Westside Gunn project as well. Doja Cat Is All In For Her Man On “Can’t Wait” From “Scarlet”

Los Angeles rapper and singer Doja Cat’s highly-awaited project, Scarlet, is finally here. There has been so much talk around the album, as people have either been bashing her new direction, or excited for what is to come. Over the coming weeks listeners will assuredely have differing opinions on the LP. But, some are already divided with some saying it a solid listen, while others are calling it “trash” or bad. However, if you have been keeping tabs on Doja’s latest statements about her fans, there is a good chance she will not be phased by the negativity.

She took a pretty big risk on Scarlet with including no features and making a more rap-focused tape. Most people come to her music for the widespread appeal with catchy choruses and beats. While there are some tracks that fit that mold like “Paint The Town Red,” most of the material here boasts more attention on the lyrics. One of the highlights that possesses this trait is “Can’t Wait.”

While it is not a tour de force, “Can’t Wait” has very touching and heartfelt passages about a deep connection. Her singing and rapping on this R&B and pop centric cut is very infectious and gets you to care about the hopes that this connection will stand the test of time. While the melody might draw your attention from the beginning, the penmanship is what takes this song from good to outstanding.

Diddy Plans On Dropping A New Rap Album Next

Last week, Diddy dropped his highly anticipated and feature-packed new project The Love Album: Off The Grid. The album is absolutely stacked with guests including Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, 21 Savage, Summer Walker, Jazmine Sullivan, John Legend, and MANY more. Songs like “Another One Of Me” and “Moments” are already racking up millions of streams proving the legendary rap executive still has pull. Despite declaring that an R&B resurgence was underway following the release of his new album, Diddy intends to shift back to hip hop next.

The news broke via his son King Combs who TMZ caught up with recently. When they asked him about what his dad is working on now, he let some details fly. “I’ma be on the next one,” Combs began. “We doing the Hip Hop album coming soon.” While the interaction is pretty light on details, just the fact that plans for an album are in place should serve as good news for Diddy fans. Before The Love Album, his last project was the MMM mixtape in 2015. Fans are hoping that they won’t have to wait another 8 years for a new project. Check out the full clip below.

Diddy’s Next Album Will Be Rap-Focused

Clearly, the music industry still has a lot of admiration for Diddy. Last week, he turned up for a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards but he wasn’t there just to sing. He also received a Global Icon Award from the show. He’s the third artist to receive the award following Foo Fighters taking home the first one in 2021 and Red Hot Chili Peppers following them up in 2022.

Diddy is also undergoing the process of signing publishing rights back to many of his Bad Boy artists. Not all of them are impressed by the gesture though, some some claiming that he waited until they were basically worthless to do so. What do you think of Diddy shifting his focus back to rap music on his next album? Let us know in the comment section below.
