Jada Pinkett-Smith has been on a massive media run as of late. Overall, it is all because of her brand-new memoir called Worthy. This is a memoir that a lot of folks were interested in. Of course, it is easy to see why this would be the case. Her relationship with Will Smith has been under the microscope for many years at this point. Moreover, people wanted to know about what happened during that fateful night at the Oscars.

In the end, however, Pinkett-Smith ended up giving away the premise of her entire book before it even came out. Instead of letting people read the book and come away with their own headlines, Jada gave them to us for free. Consequently, it should come as no real surprise that the sales for the book have not been great. Simply put, people felt like they’d read the book already. According to The Neighborhood Talk, the memoir has failed to crack the top 100 on numerous charts, including Kindle E-reader, Barnes & Noble, and Publisher’s Weekly.

Jada Pinkett-Smith Didn’t Get What She Hoped

Based on the reviews from people who did read the book, the content isn’t all that much better. Some claimed that the stories were told in a boring fashion. Moreover, there were others who felt like the entire catalog of Red Table Talk episodes does a better job of explaining who Jada Pinkett-Smith is. Needless to say, nothing here was a real co-sign for the book. If you were thinking of picking up the book, it seems like you might just come away feeling a bit disappointed.

Britney Spears’ upcoming memoir The Woman In Me, releasing October 24, shook up a lot of people. For example, many fans are antsy as to what she will reveal, what will be included, and how the public will perceive her after its commercial opening. Other folks like her father and ex-husband are reportedly unbothered by it, although that’s purely based on speculation and secondhand source reports. As if that wasn’t enough, we have another one of those to unpack, this time from Page Six. According to sources that spoke to the outlet, her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake is “concerned” about what this book will include.

“He’s very curious what she’ll reveal from their relationship,” one source reportedly alleged to Page Six. “It’s eating at him.” While this sounds very dramatic, it’s because many expect The Woman In Me to not paint a flattering image of people in her life. After all, Britney Spears has been through a lot of hardship, personal battles, feuds with close family, friends, or partners in her life, and so on. In fact, a recent Us Weekly report claimed that the memoir goes “hard” at Justin Timberlake.

However, other alleged reports suggest otherwise. According to Page Six, a publishing insider maintained that The Woman In Me is “not a takedown” of any particular individual, or meant to take down anyone. “This is Britney finally getting a chance to tell her empowering story, and it’s nothing more than that,” they alleged to the publication. Given Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake’s relationship history, though, one could understand why the latter would be a bit on edge. They broke up in quite the high-profile way after three years of dating, which was back in 2002.

They made songs about each other, refused to go into detail about why they split, but also made sneaky comments about both of them being wrong. Dr. Dre Divulges On When He Contemplated Retirement From Music

One of the West Coast’s biggest rap icons of all time, Dr. Dre, recently revealed that he was going to call it quits. This all took place back in 1992, around the release of one of the greatest rap albums of all time, The Chronic. Where did Dre talk about this? Well, you can find it in LL Cool J’s new book that has just been released to the public. With the 50th anniversary of hip-hop being celebrated this year, LL wanted to commemorate it with a new book. Many publications and events have paid homage to this incredible five-decade-long run of culture and music, but this might be the most special one of all.

HipHopDX says that the title of the new work is The Streets Win: 50 Years of Hip Hop Greatness. What is also really cool about this title is that LL included entries from plenty of legends in the game. You can find stories from Eminem, Nas, Snoop Dogg, A Tribe Called Quest, and plenty more. One of them was Dr. Dre and he spoke very candidly about the crossroads he faced.

Dre felt his creativity was stagnating and after the label refused to pay him, it all started to unravel for him. “Eazy-E and Jerry Heller were trying to starve me out and refused to pay the money they owed me. I was driving on the 101 freeway headed to the studio and, on that drive, I was thinking about quitting.” However, something awoke inside of him. About a week had passed and he began finding a rhythm and it just clicked for him. After all of that learning and deep thinking, Dre thinks this moment changed his life forever. “At this point in my life, I see the value of surrounding myself with people who push me forward. I don’t want to be around anyone I can’t learn something from.”

Britney Spears Team Doesn’t Want Her Promoting Book On TV

Britney Spears has a book coming out soon that a lot of people are highly anticipating. Consequently, TV shows are taking notice as she’s reportedly been offered a spot on numerous shows to talk about the upcoming novel. Reportedly even the prestigious CBS show 60 Minutes is seeking an interview, but all have been declined. According to Page Six, Britney’s team doesn’t think she’s ready to make an on-camera appearance.

Conflicting reports have emerged on the specifics of why she’s turned down nearly every TV appearance that’s been offered. One insider claims that it has to do at least in some part with Spears’ Instagram posts. The singer has become known for her very erratic and occasionally quite unhinged social media posts. Another source they spoke to claimed that the decision was being left solely to the singer herself. “She’s a free woman. She’ll decide. It’s her choice. She’s had offers and she doesn’t want to do anything,” they report. Britney Spears Declining TV Appearances

Britney recently made a post to Instagram that probably has some people worried about the content of her book. She posted about those close to her that had betrayed her. While she didn’t specify whether she was talking about family members or her recent ex-husband Sam Asghari, both are expected to play pretty major roles in Britney’s upcoming book.

It’s part of a series of concerning Instagram posts she’s made calling out those who wronged her. Earlier this month she took aim at people who lied to her in the past. “My HANDS ON MY HIPS SAY EVERYTHING !!! How many times have you guys been lied to or tricked by someone you loved ???
