Joel Embiid Thinks Sixers Fans Want Him Gone

Joel Embiid is one of the best players in the entire NBA. Over the course of the last two seasons, Embiid could have easily won MVP. However, that was simply not in the cards. It has been an unfortunate turn of events for Embiid, however, he has persisted on.

Embiid is the face of the franchise, and with James Harden by his side, the team has a chance to do big things. Although, they haven’t been able to get past the second round since he’s shown up. It’s been a difficult position to be in, and fans are starting to get impatient.

Joel Embiid Gets Honest

Philly fans are incredibly hard to deal with. They can get angry fast, and when you look at what they did to Ben Simmons, you can see why Embiid might be worried about how they view him. In fact, Embiid seems to think that the fans in Philadelphia want him gone.

While speaking to Jake Fischer for Yahoo! Sports, Embiid straight up claimed that he thinks Sixers fans want him traded. Overall, he has no evidence to back that up, although it didn’t stop him from saying it.

“I don’t know. Sixers fans, they want to trade me,” Embiid said. “I do believe that. They want to trade me.”

It would be pretty shocking if the Sixers did trade Embiid. For now, however, that outcome is highly unlikely. Embiid is simply too valuable to the franchise right now, and getting rid of him would be extremely shortsighted.

Draymond Green Accuses Fan Of Hurling Death Threats

Draymond Green is one of the more polarizing players in the entire NBA. Fans of the Golden State Warriors love him, however, fans around the league have a much less favorable view of him. Unfortunately, this leads to some fan reactions that are simply unacceptable.

If you’ve been watching the NBA since the bubble, you would know that fans have gotten bolder. Some of them are simply out of pocket, and subsequently, we’ve seen an uptick in lifetime bans. Overall, it is a hostile environment for players like Green.

Draymond Green Gets Fan Ejected

Last night, Draymond was in Milwaukee where he took on the Bucks alongside his Warriors teammates. As you will see in the clips below, he was met with some jeers from a fan who was courtside at the baseline. Overall, Green was not happy with what was being said.

This ultimately led to him going up to the referee and pointing to the man. Eventually, the ref called security over and the man was promptly ejected.

Following the game, Green told reporters that the man had made death threats. When made aware of this, the ref felt as though action needed to be taken immediately.

“There are no real consequences,” Green said. “Yeah, you can’t come back to the game, or even if you get arrested, nothing really happens … you just hope it gets to a point where these leagues can work with legislators to implement laws because that’s the only thing that’s really going to correct the issue.”

Needless to say, Green is not too optimistic about what is going to happen, moving forward. This is just a bad situation for everyone, and it will be interesting to see what kind of punishment that fan receives.

LeBron James Delivers Massive Praise To Donovan Mitchell

LeBron James has been in the league for 20 seasons, which means he has seen a whole lot of guys play the game. At this stage in his career, he knows the makings of a superstar. Subsequently, he likes to call out who he thinks is up next, especially when they beat him.

Last night, LeBron was in Cleveland where he got to play the Cleveland Cavaliers. This was a special return for LeBron as the Cavaliers are where he started his career. However, things did not go great for James as he ended up losing by a score of 116-102.

LeBron Impressed By Mitchell

The star of the Cavaliers last night was clearly Donovan Mitchell. The newly-acquired star dropped a total of 43 points, which ultimately spoiled the homecoming. It was a tough match for the Lakers, and consequently, James took notice of the young star.

When asked about Mitchell after the game, LeBron had nothing but praise for the young star. Overall, James definitely kept his answer short, but he made sure to pay respect. “He’s Mitchell,” James said. “He’s a special kid.”

LeBron James and the Lakers are now 10-13 this season with the loss. The Lakers do seem to be on a solid trajectory right now, however, it is not going to be easy. Anthony Davis and James will not play tonight as the Lakers take on the Toronto Raptors. Overall, it is a bad predicament, although it is one the Lakers have experienced all too often this season.

Myles Garrett Breaks His Silence Following Car Crash

Myles Garrett got into an incredibly scary car crash earlier this week as he was driving home from Browns practice. Garrett was driving his Porsche with a passenger when he eventually flipped multiple times. He and the passenger were able to escape with just minor injuries and now, Garrett is looking to play on Sunday.

On Friday, Garrett got to speak to reporters for the first time since the incident, and for the most part, he appeared to be in good spirits. Garrett reiterated his intentions to play although he was told that he will be a game-time decision as he still has some lingering issues from the crash.

“Grateful that, not only that I’m alive, but I was able to have so much of my family and the support system that was around me,” Garrett said to the reporters.

Getting into a car crash can be scary for anyone, and there is no doubt that Garrett is thankful to be okay right now. Hopefully, he is able to get back on the field healthy, and in proper shape to play.

Trae Young Reveals How NBA Can Hold Refs Accountable

NBA officiating has been catching a lot of flack as of late. The calls being made around the NBA have been incredibly inconsistent and it is hard to tell what is truly considered a foul at times. With that being said, the players are looking for some kind of accountability that is very hard to find. The refs are rarely held to the fire, and the players want this to stop.

In fact, Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks recently took to Twitter where he delivered an interesting suggestion. As he explains, refs should be forced to do post-game interviews, just like the players are. Young thinks this will keep refs accountable for years to come.

Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images

“A lot of different, new rules to the game that are kinda “judgemental” calls, why can’t the media interview them postgame too?.?” Young asked. “Maybe discuss some of there biggest calls that may or may have not changed the outcome of that game. Instead of just making a call & moving on, now the call will mean something to THEM as well.”

It is an incredible suggestion, but it is unlikely the league actually goes through with it. Refs have been protected for years, and that is not about to change.

Tell us what you think of Young’s suggestion, in the comments down below.

Lonzo Ball & The Bulls Get Some Positive News

Lonzo Ball has been dealing with a significant knee injury over the past few months. After getting surgery at the beginning of the year, Ball wasn’t able to recover as quickly as he was supposed to. This was a huge concern for the Bulls and it has continued to be one as Lonzo has yet to recover in time for the NBA season.

In fact, Lonzo recently underwent a second knee surgery, and now, he will have to miss even more time. Recently, Lonzo admitted that he is still feeling a lot of pain in his knee and that he can’t even run or jump. This is very upsetting for Bulls fans, and it has even been heartbreaking for his teammates who care deeply about his health.

Now, however, the Bulls are getting some good news pertaining to Ball. As you can see in the tweet down below from Shams Charania, there is a sense that Lonzo will be able to come back this season. While there is no exact timeline for his return to the court, there is a lot of confidence in his ability to play prior to the postseason.

When Lonzo was on the court last season, the Bulls were among the best teams in the entire Eastern Conference. With that being said, the team could use him right now, especially with the East’s continuing momentum.

Anthony Davis Blames Wrist Injury For Poor Shooting Last Season

Anthony Davis had some rough times last season. As many Lakers fans painstakingly remember, he only got to play 40 games, and it ultimately messed with the team’s chemistry. Numerous injuries began to take their toll on the Lakers superstar, and he wasn’t able to be as available as the team wanted him to be.

In addition to this, Davis was struggling to shoot from beyond the arc as he hovered around 18 percent throughout the entire season. This is by no means a good shooting performance, and Davis is well-aware of that. With that being said, Davis chalks it up to a wrist injury that he sustained back in January.

Ronald Martinez/Getty Images

“A lot of people don’t know this but since January I was battling a wrist injury … it was tough for me to shoot how I wanted to shoot,” Davis told reporter Mike Trudell.

The good news here is that Davis is feeling much better and that he will be able to play his game as soon as the season starts a month from now.

Davis has had injury issues over the years, and there is this sense that we could get more of the same this season. Hopefully, this is not the case as the league is a lot more fun when Davis is firing on all cylinders.

Zion Williamson’s Latest Update Will Excite Pelicans Fans

Zion Williamson is a player who has experienced some conditioning issues over the years. Last year, Williamson sat out the entire season with a foot injury, and with no outlet for physical activity, Zion’s weight ballooned to the point where some were reporting that he was 330 pounds.

This was very bad news for the New Orleans Pelicans, who were in desperate need of Zion’s services. Thankfully, Zion has been taking his conditioning seriously, and he seems to be in great shape right now.

Jonathan Bachman/Getty Images

Throughout the last few days, Zion has been looking slim yet muscular. He is working extremely hard to get back into game shape, and while speaking to reporters during media day, he offered an update that should excite Pelicans fans.

“I feel like I’m at my best right now... Moving faster, jumping higher. I feel great,” Zion explained. There have been plenty of videos online that support these comments, as Zion continues to show off his dunking ability, while looking like the strongest man in the entire NBA.

The Pelicans are a team that made the playoffs last year and they made it difficult on the Phoenix Suns in the first round. With Zion on the roster, the Pelicans are poised for a massive season, and they could very well be a future contender in the Western Conference.
