Sukihana Fires Scathing Shots At JT & Lil Uzi Vert: Breaking Down “Cocaine”

Kendrick and Drake might have the timeline in the frenzy but Sukihana is throwing some blows of her own against JT. It’s a surprising turn of events, considering the two were copacetic just a week ago. Amid the supposed downfall of the City Girls, JT unveiled her latest song, “Okay,” which contained a handful of subliminal shots toward an unnamed group of peers in hip-hop. Some speculated that bars relating to broken veneers and crab legs related to Cardi B but it seems it may have been a shot at Sukihana.

In the following days, Sukihana attempted to clear the air and explain that she’s never beefed with women in the rap game. She even went as far as to say that she attended JT’s birthday party in December. However, things changed since then. On Wednesday, she went diabolical on the City Girls rapper with the release of “Cocaine.” The 3-minute cut sees Sukihana delivering some scathing shots at JT and Lil Uzi Vert, some of which have been deemed transphobic. Sukihana might not be regarded as a lyricist by any means but she showed out on her latest track. Below, we’ve broken down the lyrics and references from Sukihana’s “Cocaine.”

Health & Drug Allegations

It seems like JT and Sukihana once had a pretty tight-knit relationship. At least, it would appear to be the case if Suki had some sort of insight into JT’s medical history. On “Cocaine,” Suki goes for the neck as she accuses JT of having scabies and rabies, along with having eczema. Toward the end of the verse, she raps, “I got a beam for every bump on your lip.” There’s no confirmation whether these claims are true. Along with allegations of drug use, which is the focal point of the song, we’ll have to take it with a grain of salt.

Ice Spice

You was mad at Ice Spice ’cause your n***a wanna f**k her,” Sukihana raps on the song. Unlike the allegations regarding health issues and addiction, Sukihana’s mention of Ice Spice might have some sort of truth to it. If you recall, JT and Lil Uzi Vert were at the center of a public blowout at the VMAs last year. While some attributed it to Uzi’s alleged flirtatious interaction with Ice Spice, JT later denied this. She claimed that she threw her phone at Uzi only because they gave away her seat to A$AP Bari, the owner of Vlone. However, the A$AP member later denied that was the case and suggested that the whole debacle was, in fact, about Ice Spice.

Transphobia & Lil Uzi Vert

JT’s partner, Lil Uzi Vert, continued to be at the center of their feud, catching strays on Sukihana’s “Cocaine.” Unfortunately, it came at the cost of anti-LGBTQ+ lyrics. While she does state, “[Lil Uzi Vert] wanted to eat this sewer p**sy right through my pants, h*e,” she also flips JT’s bar on “No Bars” where the City Girls member raps that she’s “pretty like a transgender.” In response, Suki said, “You ain’t lyin’ when you say you look like a trans/ Your n***a only fuck wit’ you because you look like a man.” Needless to say, this didn’t go over for her well online. Elsewhere, she addresses Uzi’s gender-fluid fashion choices, rapping, “B**ch, you just mad ‘cause your n***a wear your thong.” In all fairness, she might be confusing Lil Uzi Vert with Playboi Carti.

Disloyalty & The Downfall Of The City Girls

The downfall of the City Girls might be imminent. We’ve heard about some of the alleged inner turmoil between JT and Yung Miami, which has spilled onto the timeline on various occasions. So, it seemed inevitable that Sukihana would’ve brought it up amid a barrage of insults towards JT. In the first verse, she raps, “You been hatin’ on Caresha since a baby.” However, she then fired off several more accusations toward JT that painted her as a disloyal friend. “You the type of bitch that’ll backdoor your friend,” she raps in the second verse.

Conviction

Authenticity is key in hip-hop and it seems that Sukihana’s questioning JT’s. We all know the story of the City Girls; how Yung Miami had to hold it down – pregnant, no less – while JT served a bid for fraud. Across “Cocaine,” Sukihana makes several references to JT’s prison bid, claiming that she was stealing out of Macy’s and later, raps, “Bitch, you ain’t no scammer, you was boostin’ outta TJ Maxx.”

Devil Worship

What appears to be another shot at Lil Uzi Vert, Sukihana accuses JT of worshipping the devil. Uzi previously included Satanic imagery as part of his brand, which has caused a rift among many and eventually led him to explain that he doesn’t actually believe in the devil. Nonetheless, Sukihana called out JT, rapping, “Demonic ass ho, tell ’em how you worship Satan/ Prayed to God through your bid, now you come home and you hate him?

50 Cent Clowns Ja Rule Over Allegedly Cursing The New York Knicks

Ja Rule is alleged to have cursed the New York Knicks chances of winning their first NBA Championship since 1973. Ja was heard saying, ‘Champions only, baby. Go Knicks!’ as he raised and kissed the prized Larry O’Brien trophy before the game. This act left Knicks supporters quite concerned. Fans speculated that Ja Rule’s curse might have affected the game, as players like Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby were injured despite the Knicks winning. The curse may have been real.

50 Cent has joined the group of enraged Knicks supporters who believe Ja Rule cursed the NBA franchise. Ja lifted the NBA Championship before the Knicks did, which is seen as unlucky, and 50, who needs no reason to take a jab at his old foe, took notice. People are obviously running with the idea that Ja cursed the Knicks, and the growing injury list for the New York team suggests they may be right. 50 Cent tweeted his roast of Ja Rule on Twitter, knowing that his longtime enemy may have cursed the New York Knicks.

50 Cent Trolls Ja Rule Over Cursing The Knicks

On social media, 50 Cent shared a video of Ja holding the Larry O’Brien trophy along with the caption, “Oh sh*t, don’t bet on the Knicks to win this next game.” 50 continued hilariously, saying, “This janky ass [ninja emoji] put his juju all on the team. Fuck that I’m bet my money on the wolves! LOL.” Knicks fans obviously gravitated to 50’s post, agreeing with the rapper and throwing more shade at Ja Rule. It’s an unfortunate turn of events for Ja Rule, who was just having some fun before the Knicks game. Now, unfortunately, he may get the blame if the Knocks don’t advance to the next round.

The Knicks are currently up 2-0 on the Indiana Pacers. Jalen Brunson, the Knicks superstar guard who has been carrying the team, suffered a foot injury in game two. He was able to return after missing the entire second quarter. Knicks defensive stopper OG Anunoby suffered a hamstring injury in the fourth quarter and has since been ruled out of game 3 in Indiana. The Knicks injury report continues to grow. Ultimately, Ja Rule better hope they close out the Pacers.

Kendrick Lamar Tops Canada Streaming Charts With “Not Like Us” Drake Diss

The whole world is playing “Not Like Us” like wild, and Kendrick Lamar continues to not only stake his claim of victory in his battle against Drake, but get the charts on his side in the process. Moreover, there is now another metric in which this diss track exhibited staggering commercial success, a tight race to get the crown for considering how well all of these tracks are streaming. “Not Like Us” topped various streaming charts in the 6ix God’s home country, including Apple Music’s Top 100: Canada chart and Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Canada chart. Among the top five and top ten in these lists are “Family Matters” and “Euphoria” (the second-most streamed song in Drizzy’s home city of Toronto, with “not Like Us” at number three), as well as previous officially streamable diss tracks like “Meet The Grahams” and “Push Ups” that traveled the charts over time.

Furthermore, this is all very impressive and it would almost be an objective win for Kendrick Lamar… if numbers mattered at all in rap beef. There’s still plenty of debate between pgLang die-hards and OVO soldiers over who truly won the battle, but both sides are conceding some pretty unreasonable points from their own camp. For example, DJ Akademiks thinks that people claiming K.Dot stole his “Not Like Us” bars from Twitter are reaching too far. On the other hand, many Kendrick fans refuse to give Drake the proper credit for being a very formidable lyrical opponent, and dishonestly claim it was more of a blowout than it was.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Tops Canadian Streaming Charts

Of course, this battle is technically not over yet, although if it isn’t, we hope that it manifests in bars and music rather than the real life direction that recent occurrences in Drake’s Bridle Path neighborhood have suggested (with no confirmed connection to this beef). That should never be the result of rap feuds no matter who it’s coming from, so maybe it would be best if it ended here. Kendrick Lamar and The Boy had an incredible tit-for-tat, albeit one that spread a lot of misinformation and has compromised both of their public images in exploitative and potentially harmful ways as far as women’s trauma is concerned. But such is the ugliness of hip-hop beef, a formula that we can hopefully keep away from these extremes as we reckon with it in a social media age.

Meanwhile, do you still think we’re on the battlefield or do you have a winner to crown? What’s been your favorite song to come out of all this? Whatever the case, let us know down in the comments section below. Also, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

DJ Akademiks Refutes Kendrick Lamar Bar Stealing Claims, Calls K-Dot A “Genius”

DJ Akademiks has been a key figure in the feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. Overall, Akademiks has been live on stream every day since things escalated with “Euphoria” last Tuesday. It has been impressive to watch him move, especially since he got name-dropped by Kendrick on “6:16 In LA.” If any media figure has come away with the win in this beef, it has been Ak, even if he is a Drake stan. Ak has been adamant that Kendrick is winning, although he has been teasing something new from the Toronto megastar.

Last night, Kendrick Lamar found himself in the crosshairs of Drake fans. One page called King Jared found some old tweets that contain punchlines similar to those found in “Not Like Us.” This subsequently led to allegations that Lamar has been straight up stealing his bars from Twitter. While many believe these are purely coincidental, others are firm believers that this completely disqualifies Kendrick from the rap battle.

DJ Akademiks Goes Over King Jared’s Claims

In the Via link below, you can see a clip from Ak’s stream last night where he speaks on the stolen bar accusations. Ultimately, Akademiks thinks that fans need to chill out and stop looking for things that don’t exist. He admitted that Drake fans such as himself just need to admit that K-Dot is a genius and that he got one over on Drake. To claim otherwise, would simply be a bit delusional. It was an admirable stance for Akademiks to take, especially when you consider how he has a direct line to the “God’s Plan” artist.

Let us know what you think of the allegations leveled against Kendrick Lamar, in the comments section down below. Do you really believe that he was lurking through Twitter to find some bars for “Not Like Us?” Or do you think that Drake fans are just trying to find a new angle? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Fans React To Gunna’s New Album “One Of Wun,” And They’re Loving It So Far

Less than a year after Gunna’s comeback album a Gift & a Curse following a prison stint, he wasted no time in giving fans the one-two punch with his brand-new LP, One Of Wun. Moreover, with features from Offset, Normani, Roddy Ricch, and Leon Bridges across 20 songs, there’s a lot of room for bangers… as well as disappointment. However, from what the general social media reception to the project has looked like in its first hours on the market, it seems like fans are quite satisfied with this record. Of course, we’ll have to see how it ages and what more scrutinized critical reception looks like, but right now, it seems like he took a W here.

Moreover, Gunna also raised eyebrows with some particular bars here and there that many fans interpreted as subliminal shots at other rappers. For example, some bars on here relate to paying for abs and having writers, which some people think might’ve been aimed at Drake and Lil Baby. Still, that’s just speculation at the moment, just like a lot of rumors surrounding him and his rap allegiances right now. The College Park MC entered a tough situation when he made his plea deal in the YSL RICO case, although it’s been heartening to see his return.

Gunna’s New Album One Of Wun: Stream

Elsewhere, people also thought that Gunna and Future had some issues to work out, as fans theorized that they would go head-to-head with new projects this week based on some alleged social media shots. Fewtch ended up dropping a single, not a mixtape, so we’ll see whether this narrative persists throughout One Of Wun‘s hype cycle. Apart from those narrative caveats, this is a Wunna album through and through, so we’d highly recommend you give it a shot if you’ve ever liked his material in the past. Check out some more reactions to the album down below.

Ice Spice Appears To Take More Shots At Latto On New Single “Gimmie A Light”

Ice Spice is gearing up to drop a new project this year called Y2K. As it stands, this project does not have a release date. However, fans are still very much excited about the album as it will be her debut. So far, we have gotten singles like “Think U The Shit (Fart).” This song is particular was quite polarizing, although that has been the case for Spice’s entire career thus far. On Friday, she came through with yet another new effort. This time, the song was called “Gimmie A Light” and it features a sample from Sean Paul.

Overall, the song has elicited more polarizing responses. Some feel as though that Ice Spice has been repeating the same sound since 2022. Meanwhile, others simply don’t think the bars hold up. Either way, Spice is in a difficult position right now, and there is no telling whether or not she will be able to break out of her current sound. Throughout all of this, Spice has had an ongoing feud with Latto. In fact, on this most recent track, it would appear as though the artist may have taken yet another swipe at her rival.

Ice Spice With A New Release

“I don’t got any opps — like why would I beef with a flop? (Grah)” Spice raps on the track. There is no telling whether or not this bar is truly directed at Latto. However, context clues seem to point to that. At this point, the two may just level some diss tracks at each other. 2024 has been the year of rap beef, and it seems like Drake and Kendrick Lamar have inspired artists from all corners of the earth. Only time will tell whether or not Latto responds.

Let us know what you think of this new Ice Spice track, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that Spice is taking more shots at Latto with this new effort? Do you think that this song is enough to keep the artist near the top of the rap game? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. The Game Disses Rick Ross: Fans React To The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

It looks like the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef might get a lot of rappers more confrontational this year, and we have our first example of a side quest in this feud. Moreover, The Game just dropped a diss track against Rick Ross titled “Freeway’s Revenge,” and it’s a pretty scathing takedown of a lot of his qualities, character, history, and approaches. Fans were quick to react, either praising the song for its lyrical density, clowning both MCs for still trying to get attention of a much bigger battle, or criticizing the Los Angeles rapper’s approach to taking down the Maybach Music Group boss.

Furthermore, we know that The Game and Rick Ross apparently had issues before this, although we didn’t know whether the former was just defending Drake from the latter’s trolling. While there are references to Drizzy’s beef with Kendrick Lamar on “Freeway’s Revenge,” they’re mostly used for bar work and not as any continuations of that particular back-and-forth. He remains focused on his target and doesn’t hold back, calling into question his street credibility and health. The Documentary lyricist even hilariously imitates Rozay at one point and makes fun of his constant trolling.

At least fans now know that this went deeper than just The Game supporting Drake against Kendrick Lamar, although that definitely seems to be the origin of all this. However, a lot of fans had differing opinions on whether or not this was a good look for this specific beef. It’s fair to say that the timing of it also affected its perception, since some folks want to avoid anything related to beef right now after such a hectic past week. But at the end of the day, some stories are just too spicy to pass up. Check out more reactions to “Freeway’s Revenge” down below.

Post Malone Previews His Debut Country Album With The Morgan Wallen Collaboration ‘I Had Some Help’

Post Malone started his career running in hip-hop circles before putting a greater emphasis on poppier music in recent albums. Now, he has another pivot coming, as indicated by his latest single: “I Had Some Help,” a collaboration with country superstar Morgan Wallen.

The midtempo tune, which isn’t short on twang, sees Malone reflecting on his shortcomings, singing on the chorus, “I had some help / It ain’t like I can make this kinda mess all by myself / Don’t act like you ain’t help me pull that bottle off the shelf / Been deep in every weekend if you couldn’t tell / They say, ‘Teamwork makes the dream work’ / Hell, I had some help.”

This isn’t just a one-off foray into country for Malone, either: A press release notes the song will be featured on his “first-ever full-length country album this year.” Additional information about that project hasn’t yet been shared.

The new single comes shortly after Malone was one of the highlights of this year’s Stagecoach festival. Uproxx’s Philip Cosores noted, “Though he first emerged through the world of SoundCloud rap, Posty has proven to be good at most things he tries. His own original music has veered into a genreless mélange that reflects the omnivorous tastes of many young music fans, while he’s proven to be adept at everything from Nirvana covers to acting. As a proud Texan, it’s not surprising that he would also slay as a country cover band, curating a set of radio hits that felt like a rowdy bar with a great house band or jukebox.”

Drake & Lil Baby Seemingly Catch Strays From Gunna On “One Of Wun”

Drake and Lil Baby are two artists who have collaborated quite a bit over the years. Moreover, they both used to work with Gunna. Of course, Lil Baby and Gunna were seen as a dynamic duo of sorts. They dropped a collaborative album together back in 2018, and they were both Young Thug disciples. However, both Drake and Lil Baby choose not to associate with Gunna anymore. This is due to the fact that Gunna is perceived as a snitch by his peers. After being arrested alongside Thugger in 2022, he was eventually released. While there is no concrete proof that he snitched, many within the industry have already made up their mind.

On Friday, Gunna dropped off his new album One Of Wun. Given all that he has been through, fans were expecting some bars about the YSL case. Furthermore, it was expected that he would have subliminal bars for those who have been distancing themselves from him. Well, below, you can see some lines from the song “Still Prevail” that appear to be directed at Drake, or at least that’s what the fans believe. Gunna essentially accuses some men of paying for their abs. While Akademiks jokes that this is about Bandman KEVO, others are thinking of Drizzy, especially after the recent disses from Rick Ross and Kendrick Lamar.

Did Gunna Shoot At Drake

Meanwhile, on the song “collage,” Gunna speaks about not needing a writer. Fans are theorizing that this is about Lil Baby. Overall, this is because the rumor for years has been that Gunna was writing for Lil Baby. Some fans even think that Lil Baby fell off due to the fact that Gunna stopped writing for him. This is only an allegation and hasn’t been fully proven. However, fans are convinced that Drake and Baby are the victims of some strays on this project.

Lil Baby May Have Caught One Too

Kendrick Lamar Accused Of Stealing Bars From Twitter For “Not Like Us”

Kendrick Lamar is currently in a feud with Drake, and for now, he has the lead. Thanks to songs like “Meet The Grahams” and “Not Like Us,” Lamar has taken a comfortable lead. Overall, this has been made clear thanks to the surrender that was Drake’s “The Heart Part 6.” As it stands, “Not Like Us” is on track to be the number-one song in the entire world come next week. It is pretty wild to think about, especially since “Euphoria” may end up becoming the number two track.

Having said all of that, Drake fans are doing everything they can to discredit Kendrick and his most recent track. Enter King Jared on Twitter. If you have been keeping tabs on the beef through X, you have certainly seen this account. The person behind the account moves as though they are Drake’s personal assistant. An OVO soldier tasked with finding anything they can to make K. Dot look bad. Well, last night, they came through with some old tweets that contain similar punchlines to what Lamar says on “Not Like Us.”

Kendrick Lamar Had Some Hard-Hitting Lines

At first glance, it all looks pretty damning. After all, how could Kendrick steal punchlines? Doesn’t that go against the core tenets of rap? However, when you do a bit of critical thinking, you realize that these punchlines aren’t even the hardest-hitting bars on “Not Like Us.” Furthermore, these jokes and punchlines aren’t exactly original thoughts. It doesn’t take hours upon hours of brainstorming to come up with some of this stuff. Not to mention, it would be almost impossible to find these tweets if you searched “Drake” on Twitter. You have to really dig deep with the keywords to find these, and that’s clearly what King Jared did. However, this kind of accusation plays well amongst Drake fans on Twitter, and now, they are running with it. Is it possible that Kendrick did steal these punchlines from Twitter? Sure. That said, we will probably never know, and it’s ultimately up to the listener to decide where they stand on this.

Let us know what you think of this accusation, in the comments section down below. Do you really believe that Kendrick Lamar was scouring Twitter to find some punchlines against Drake? Do you think Drake fans are coping a bit too hard when it comes to this feud? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world.
