His first stop in Detroit was completely sold out, prompting him to question the notion that he’s been “blackballed” from the industry. The hitmaker went big, soaring above the crowd on wires, performing on a rotating platform, and more. His show is also divided into four parts, with hits from several eras. Of course, fans additionally got to see some of the hitmaker’s impressive dance moves.

A clip of a few moves in particular has been making its rounds online this weekend, prompting countless commenters to praise him for his talent. In the clip, he’s seen doing a flip in the air and twirling around before doing another flip on the ground.

“He still got those fire dance moves,” one Twitter/X user writes in Daily Loud‘s comments section. “Chris brown is the greatest pop star of his generation,” someone else says. Others are comparing him to the likes of Michael Jackson, Usher, and more. Clearly, fans can’t get enough of Breezy. They also appear to be willing to do whatever it takes to attend the “11:11” tour, based on another new clip from one of his recent performances.

In the hilarious clip, Brown is performing onstage when a shocking sign in the crowd catches his eye. “Does that say ‘I called off my engagement to come see you’?” he asked. “That’s cr*zy. I love you baby, I appreciate it.”

Of course, when Fif brings Sean Combs up online, it’s usually not in this context of financials and entrepreneurship at all, but rather a reflection on the current wave of lawsuits, accusations, scandals, and condemnations against the Bad Boy executive. But amid the G-Unit boss’ current legal battle with the liquor company Suntory Global Spirits, he reflected on the since-resolved dispute between Puff Daddy and Diageo. Apparently, they both have suffered at the hands of higher-ups, and you’d better savor this moment because this sympathy likely won’t last long.

“Puffy made Diageo a lot of money with ciroc, they were fine with that because he didn’t own anything,” 50 Cent shared in a recent Instagram post that spoke about his visit to Capitol Hill to discuss these issues and his Suntory dispute with Congressional and government figures. “Soon as he owns Deleón their relationship can’t work. I made @suntoryglobalspirits a lot of money with Effen soon as I own my own brands they did me dirty. They want black consumers, but they don’t want black business owners. True story.”

For those unaware, 50 Cent sued Suntory in March of this year for $6 million, alleging embezzlement. “Changing the company name from Beam Suntory to @suntoryglobalspirits without correcting what was done to my brands @bransoncognac and @lecheminduroi doesn’t fix the problem and lacks honor,” he expressed concerning the issue in May. “I attempted to resolve the matter, not once, but twice. Now the legal process will play out publicly for everyone to see what really happened and how @suntoryglobalspirits would rather spend millions to protect and conceal criminal conduct instead of doing the right thing.”

As for Diddy, folks who were quiet or defensive on the matter were quick to turn on him as the world reacted to the Cassie footage, including Kim Porter’s father. We don’t know what the next development in his legal dealings will be, but we know that 50 Cent will be right there to comment on it. In her suit, Pisciotta claims that after working alongside the Chicago MC on various projects, things took an uncomfortable turn for the worse. She alleges that Ye began to send her sexually explicit text messages and videos, masturbate during phone calls, ask invasive questions about her partners, and more.

Now, Dr. Jenn Mann of the reality series Couples Therapy has weighed in on the accusations in a chat with TMZ, claiming that the alleged text messages could say a lot about the rapper’s sexual preferences. “See my problem is I be wanting to f*** but then after I f*** I want a girl to tell me how hard they been f***ed while I’m f***ing them. Then I want her to cheat on me,” one of the alleged messages reads.

According to Dr. Jenn, the alleged evidence points to Ye being a “cuckold,” or someone who enjoys watching or hearing about their partner having sex with someone else. This is unconfirmed, though the reality star appears to make a good case. Dr. Jenn also explained that since Pisciotta was the performer’s employee, there was allegedly a power imbalance at play as well as a “violation of trust.”

As for Ye, he denies the allegations brought against him by Pisciotta. He accuses her of blackmailing and extorting him after her alleged sexual advances were rejected. Reportedly, he plans to file a countersuit in response. “It is evident that Ms. Pisciotta leveraged her association with Ye and his company, and her proximity to him, to seek material gains, clout, and employment through inappropriate means,” his representative said last week. However, the rollout for this new project could’ve been better in some fans’ eyes, as many weren’t the biggest fans of the new LP’s original cover art. Fortunately, it seems like the Houston femcee recently shared an alternate cover art on her social media on Saturday night (June 8), which many in the comments section of the IG post below praised as an improvement on the original. Maybe this is actually a replacement and not just an alternate, but either way, we’re sure fans will have access to both through physical or digital download purchases.

Furthermore, this is especially heartening because it also lets fans know that Megan Thee Stallion isn’t just popping out with the new album randomly. She’s been consistent about promoting it constantly while still pushing other things forward. For example, Meg recently joined Latto and Flo Milli for the “Sunday Service” remix, another huge collaboration this year that is building a lot of praise and hype. It feels like it’s all part of the same plan, which is an important image to keep up with a huge release on the way.

However, Megan Thee Stallion is also dealing with a lot of negativity right now, blasting the alleged viral spread of an A.I.-faked sex tape online that aims to ruin her social media presence. “It’s really sick how yall go out of the way to hurt me when you see me winning,” she wrote on Twitter against an unknown individual or group, most likely a broad generalization of her haters. “Yall going too far, Fake a** s**t. Just know today was your last day playing with me and I mean it.”

Hopefully Megan Thee Stallion is able to sidestep most of this undeserved and invasive hate ahead of Megan‘s release and after it. At least the tour is going really well when the shows aren’t getting canceled for X, Y, or Z reasons. It’s odd to see this mix of wild success and acclaim with plenty of roadblocks, too, but it’s the nature of current celebrity culture. Nevertheless, cover art haters are one group that Tina Snow won’t have to contend with for much longer.

In the post, he wrote: “Today I seen biggie in a casket I stared at that pic for 30mins a [sic] straight.” Fans have been sharing plenty of laughs at his expense in response as he provided zero context to the story.

“wtf do meek mill be talking about forreal ? He stared at a picture of biggie in a casket for 30 mins straight?! Like who be asking this stuff.” Other users were quick to joke that Diddy must’ve shown him the body while more asked what they were supposed to do with the information. One fan came to his defense. “if I was you big dawg I’ll stay off this internet sh*t bro,” they wrote. “Everything you say now the internet trolling you your kids don’t need to see this bro live your life & get a bag but get a PR to write and promote and educate leave the other sh*t off THE NET.”

Andre 3000 Announces Summer Tour Dates

Andre 3000 will be embarking on the New Blue Sun Live Tour this summer to perform his latest solo album. The shows will span June to September with appearances at several global music festivals. The former Outkast rapper announced the tour in a post on Instagram, on Saturday, sharing a video of himself getting a teeth cleaning. Andre will be performing with Carlos Niño, Nate Mercereau, Surya Botofasina, and Deantoni Parks, although he noted in the post that the lineup is “subject to change.”

During the tour, Andre will be promoting New Blue Sun, his first full-length venture into ambient jazz music. Marking the end of his 17-year hiatus, it was met with generally positive responses from both critics and fans alike. Despite the acclaim, however, it only peaked at number 34 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Despite the stylistic change, a new release from Andre still has fans hopeful for an Outkast reunion. Speaking with legendary poet Hanif Abdurraqib during an appearance on The Bitter Southerner recently, he lowered those expectations. “People ask, ‘So, will there be another Outkast album?’” he shared. “I really can’t say, man. I do realize that our chemistries have changed. We’re different people. We’re totally different people. Not to say that we won’t be able to make any kind of music, but I think, yeah, people have to realize, like, even in relationships, man… chemistry should change after a while. And I think people think there’s this one thing that has to stay a way, but we are ever-changing, man.”

Tierra Whack’s personality and creative world is too vast to be contained. However, yesterday (June 7) the “Two Night” rapper managed to squeeze it all in during her NPR Tiny Desk Concert performance.

To commemorate Black Music Month, Tierra served up her eclectic discography for all to enjoy with a special slice of her hometown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania via a cameo from the beloved mascot, Phillie Phanatic.

If you thought only tracks from her latest album, World Wide Whack, made the setlist, you’re wrong.

Tierra and her newly formed band, The Big Backs (comprised of bassist Ali Bervine, keyboardist
Charles Jackson & Mary Floyd, guitarist Russell Gelman-Sheehan, percussionist Sheldon Robinson, drummer Mark Thomas, and vocalist Michelle Hunt), opened with 2018’s “Flea Market.” Then transitioned to melody of “Pretty Ugly,” “Hungry Hippo,” “Mood Swing,” “Accessible,”
“Ms Behave,” and “Imaginary Friends.”

Before performing “Moovies,” Tierra invited Phillie Phanatic to share the desk with her. Although the character is mute, Tierra went on to explain why their appearance was necessary to her. “Y’all know I gotta keep it Philly,” she said. “I bleed green. I bleed red. Anything Philly is all me. I had to bring a piece of home with me.”

JAY-Z Comes Under Fire For Educational Campaign In Philadelphia

JAY-Z is facing backlash on social media for the announcement that Roc Nation is helping dish out $300 million in scholarships to Philadelphia students in grades K-12 through the PASS program (Pennsylvania Award for Student Success). Throughout June, the company will be hosting a series of events to educate the public about the program. While it seems like a worthy philanthropic effort on the surface, critics feel its true mission is to undermine public school funding in service of further privatizing education.

“Just to be clear for those not in Pennsylvania, the legislation Jay-Z is supporting here is a Republican-led effort to gut public education, spearheaded by future Trump cabinet member Jeffrey Yass,” one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another added: “Whether Jay-Z or the upper middle-class family on the block: if you have resources and don’t allocate them to local public schools, you are making a moral and political choice. Taking children out of public schools in favor of private IS PRECISELY what hurts the most vulnerable.”

Roc Nation announced the move earlier this week. “We have enjoyed such a special connection with Philadelphians, so we’ve made it our mission to invest in the long-term success of the city’s changemakers,” Roc Nation Managing Director of Philanthropy Dania Diaz said in a statement caught by Billboard. “Impact starts with the students and with awareness. We want to empower the youth and families with the knowledge to pursue their scholastic dreams, make their voices heard and become the leaders of tomorrow.”

Additionally, she announced pre-orders for a vinyl version of the project dropping on September 27th, 2024. In the caption of her post, she wrote: “20 Years later. Still CiCi.
