Young Thug Requests Elon Musk’s Help To Make ‘Slime City’ Solar-Powered

Despite being in the midst of a promotional run for his newly-released sophomore album, Punk, Young Thug has still found time to tend to Slime City. That’s what the rapper named the 100-acre plot of land he received for his 30th birthday from his manager, 300 Entertainment A&R Geoff Ogunlesi, and realtor Trey Williams. Thug wants to make the area solar-powered, and to accomplish this, he asked for help from Elon Musk over Twitter.

After sharing Slime City with his client, Williams revealed in an interview with TMZ that Thug hopes to build high-quality homes, a waterpark, a camping site, and much more. He also wants to bring his annual Slime Fest there and include a dirt bike trail for folks around the area to use and enjoy. At the time, Williams said that he’d already spoken to architects and engineers and that work on the land would begin as soon as they received a few permits that they’re waiting on.

Thug’s request comes days after he released his latest album, Punk, which features guest appearances from Drake, Future, Mac Miller, Juice WRLD, Gunna, Travis Scott, J. Cole, and more. He also stopped by Saturday Night Live to perform “Tick Tock” and “Love You More.”

Meek Mill Hits The Streets Of London With Giggs In Their Menacing Video For ‘Northside Southside’

Meek Mill kept his fans waiting almost three years for a new album, but now he’s returned with his fifth album, Expensive Pain. Now there’s a menacing new video for the brash track “Northside Southside,” which features a verse from British rapper Giggs.

In addition to Giggs, Expensive Pain also features appearances from Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Kehlani, ASAP Ferg, Moneybagg Yo, Giggs, Young Thug, Vory, Lil Uzi Vert, and Brent Faiyaz. Meek has also been very busy keeping his fans filled with videos from his latest release. In addition to “Northside Southside,” he’s also made ones for “Angels (RIP Lil Snupe),” “Expensive Pain,” “On My Soul,” “Intro (Hate On Me),”Blue Notes 2,” “Sharing Locations,” and “Flamerz Flow.”

In other news, Meek recently made a comparison between poverty conditions and the popular Netflix show Squid Game “[P]ay attention how fast people switch and kill each other to survive,” he wrote on Twitter. “Now think about the ‘hood’ poverty …it’s the exact same thing.” He added that improving the living conditions in both areas would translate to a reduction in crime and violence. However, people on social media made it clear that they did not agree with his take.

Maxo Kream Unveils What The Afterlife Looks Like For A ‘Cripstian’ In His New Video

Maxo Kream dropped a new album, Weight Of The World, earlier this week. Now he returns with a new video for the album’s opening track, “Cripstian.” It follows a young man who finds himself stepping onto a lavish estate after dying in the back of an ambulance. Upon entering the building and running into family members and friends who presumably passed away, he realizes that he’s in the afterlife.

“Cripstian” joins “Big Persona,” “Greener Knots,” and “Local Joker” as songs from Weight Of The World to receive the video treatment. Throughout the album’s 16 songs are guest appearances from Tyler The Creator, ASAP Rocky, Freddie Gibbs, and fellow Houston natives Monaleo and Don Toliver. It arrived on Monday, October 18, which goes against the industry’s tradition of releasing albums on Fridays, but in a trailer that Maxo released before dropping Weight Of The World, he explained why he chose that date.

“10/18 is symbolic,” he says. “10/18 hold a lot of weight. That’s the day Woodrow [his late cousin] died, you feel me? And that’s the same day Jalae [his niece] was born, and that’s the first show Mmadu [his younger brother] ever missed.”

You can watch the video for “Cripstian” above.

Young Thug Revealed ‘Day Before’ With Mac Miller Was Coincidentally Made A Day Before The Late Rapper’s Death

Two years after he announced the project, Young Thug finally released his sophomore album Punk over the weekend. It featured big names like Drake, Future, Gunna, Travis Scott, and more, while also welcoming up-and-comers like Bslime, Strick, Lil Double 0, T-Shyne, and others. Another highlight was a posthumous verse from Mac Miller on “Day Before,” and during a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, Young Thug revealed an eerie coincidence behind the song.

“I was with Mac the day before he died,” Thug said. “He was at my studio and we did the song on my album. This sh*t is so crazy but coincidental. He came to the studio and did the song with me and the next day he died. And the name of the song is ‘Day Before.’ But the song is about like women … It was like flamboyant.”

He added, “I think deep on that because is that a sign? At some point, you’re wondering why? Have you ever just wished God could really talk to you?”

Thug recently performed a pair of songs — “Tick Tock” and “Love Your More” — on Saturday Night Live with help from Travis Barker, Gunna, and Nate Ruess. As for Miller, his estate recently uploaded his 2014 mixtape Faces to streaming services.

Kanye West Is Rocking Quite The Odd Mask That’s Actually Perfect For The Halloween Season

Since the first listening session for Kanye West’s tenth album Donda, the rapper has spent most of his time in the spotlight wearing an assortment of masks. Perhaps it’s his attempt from to place a wall between himself and those watching him. The rapper took things to next level on Tuesday. While in New York City, he wore a prosthetic mask — which was made to look like a Caucasian woman with smoky eye shadow — that covered his whole face, while meeting with former Trump attorney Michael Cohen.

It’s unknown why Kanye was meeting with Cohen, but in a conversation with Page Six, Cohen did share why West was wearing the mask (although not why he chose one that looks like caucasian woman). “The purpose [of the mask] was so that people would not recognize him,” he said. “The first 10 minutes we sat down, he was mobbed by people … who wanted photos, and to say hello. So he put on this mask to give him some anonymity, which interestingly enough, did not really work.”

This comes as Kanye is going to officially change his name to “Ye.” Judge Michelle Williams Court signed off the change after he filed a petition to The Los Angeles Superior Court on August 24, citing “personal reasons.”

Isaiah Rashad Experiences Some Paranormal Activities In His Eerie ‘THIB’ Video

TDE rapper Isaiah Rashad is currently on tour promoting his new album The House Is Burning, but that didn’t stop him from continuing the other part of promoting an album — releasing a new music video. This time, the eerie “THIB” video turns the title track into a darkly surreal thriller, as Rashad wakes to a spooky rumbling that turns into an explosion, leaving his house… well, burning. From there, Rashad wanders the nighttime neighborhood, hovering above the action like a ghost and taking in the odd, paranormal goings-on of his quiet cul-de-sac.

The release of The House Is Burning ended a nearly-five-year hiatus for the Chattanooga rapper during which he struggled with addiction, going broke, wrecking his boss’s car, and getting clean. When he did come back, he brought with him the rowdy Memphis rapper Duke Duece for the exuberant return single “Lay Wit Ya.” And while his new album naturally features appearances from his TDE cohorts like Schoolboy Q, who appeared in the reflective video for “Runnin’,” Rashad also helped introduce newcomer Doechii with “Wat U Sed” and linked up with a superstar in the form of Lil Uzi Vert on “From The Garden.”

Lil Nas X Rode A Bus Around Hollywood And Thanked Fans For Getting ‘Industry Baby’ To No. 1 On The Charts

At one point in time not all that long ago, there was real concern that Lil Nas X would be a one-hit wonder with “Old Town Road.” Even if that had been the case, his name would have still gone down in music history, considering that by some key metrics, “Old Town Road” is the most successful single of all time. However, Nas has proven that he’s more than his first hit, as he’s had a pair of No. 1’s since then: “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” and now on this week’s chart, “Industry Baby.”

Nas is grateful that he has another chart-topper, so he decided to celebrate by taking to the streets of Hollywood to thank his fans for their support. He went ahead and rented a bus, got decked out in a pink prison jumpsuit, then rode around on top of the bus and gave thanks to his fans.

When Nas learned yesterday that the song had reached No. 1 weeks after its release, he tweeted, “IT TOOK A FEW MONTHS BUT WE HERE! THANK U EVERYBODY! INDUSTRY BABY IS THE NUMBER 1 SONG IN THE WORLD! LESSSSSGOOOOOO!” His partner on the song, Jack Harlow, was especially excited, since “Industry Baby” is his first No. 1 song. He tweeted, “My first number one… I’d be lying if I said I didn’t see this coming while I was writing my verse. This song is something I’m gonna be proud to be a part of for the rest of my life. Thank you for having me @LilNasX.”
