Yung Kayo Presents Some “Holy Grails” On His Latest Mixtape

One of Young Thug’s newer students and YSL signees, Yung Kayo, is here this weekend with a new mixtape. For hardcore fans of the Washington D.C. native, this should be an exciting release. The reason being is based on the origins of the 16 tracks here. According to the Genius annotation for Holy Grails, these are all some highly sought after snippets and teasers from a couple of years ago. Specifically, they were concocted just a little before Yung Kayo dropped off his debut album, DFTK. This makes Holy Grails just his second LP so far, but he’s apparently got a ton more on deck. We say that because the details are unconfirmed, but the sources are there to give some validity to these notes.

What we know is that Komodo was actually going to be his next project and classified as an album. Moreover, it was apparently supposed to arrive this month. Instead, we have Holy Grails, so the former is on the shelf, for now anyway. But there are more coming at some point, including dbno, free slime, and free yak. That information was revealed in a now deleted Instagram post as of October 28. Fans will surely eat this up in the meantime though, even though it seems as if it’s more of a bridging project. There are some crazy futuristic beats, with some samples from bigger names like Lil Uzi Vert. Check out Holy Grails with the links below.

Skyzoo Gives Fans A Personal Tour De Force With “Keep Me Company”

Skyzoo has done it with his new album, Keep Me Company. This is his ninth solo effort and its his first project of 2024. That is unless you count the release of the deluxe of his 2023 outing, The Mind Of A Saint. In a year chockful of tremendous LPs from both the mainstream and underground, some records are bound to fly under the radar. Keep Me Company may do the same, especially with it dropping a month before 2025 begins. But Skyzoo’s performance across this 13-song tracklist will assuredly not be forgotten by us. Released via Old Soul Music and First Generation Rich, the Brooklyn, New York act is getting deeply personal, and it revolves heavily around personal growth.

Skyzoo breaks it down very well for every potential and current listener. “The new album is officially out now. An album about growth, as an artist, a listener, a leader, just growth. Feeling alone in a growth spurt, thinking maybe you’re wrong for being the only one who sees things the way you do, and then realizing there’s others who also feel alone in thinking the way you do, and finding out that yall aren’t alone at all. At that point the realization becomes “‘oh you feel the same way too? Aye man come keep me company.’” Simple math.” Our words won’t do the tape justice. You’ll just have to listen for yourself and multiple times at that, Skyzoo recommends.

Yungeen Ace Responds To Those Against Him On Second 2024 Tape “I Control My Destiny”

“I put my all in this project. I know ppl praying I fail or be in a casket or cell, but I’m destined for greatness… hope yall been waiting to hear from me. Album out now I Control My destiny.” That is Yungeen Ace about his newest album, which hit streaming platforms this weekend. It’s his second of 2024, and it follows up on his March 29 release, Forgotten Star. New music has not been the only headline surrounding the Jacksonville, Florida rapper and singer, though. It’s actually been quite the controversial stretch for him, as he has been involving himself with his late Florida contemporary, Foolio.

He’s been on the receiving end of a lot of hate thanks to a pair of diss tracks toward the latter. Both “Do It” and “Game Over” came across as very distasteful and they seem to suggest that he was the one who put the hit on Foolio. It actually led to allegations against him, and a few suspects are currently in custody. Things are still not sorted out as of yet, and it looks like it will take some time before justice is served to the MC’s family and friends. Still, Ace decided to include those two direct diss records on I Control My Destiny, maybe to create some extra buzz around it. There are some solid cuts, as this tape sees him opening up more. But overall, it’s still an interesting and contentious vibe surrounding Yungeen Ace.

G Herbo Re-Releases “Strictly 4 My Fans 2” With Five New Tracks

Chicago’s own G Herbo has been a name in hip-hop circles since he was seventeen years old, after appearing on Lil Bibby’s debut mixtape Free Crack. Welcome to Fazoland, Herbo’s own debut tape (as Lil Herb), dropped over ten years ago, when he was eighteen. It quickly became popular on DatPiff. Since then, G Herbo has not quite had the star-level breakthrough that some of his Chicago peers did (i.e. Chief Keef and Lil Durk), but he has had a career that any aspiring rapper would be happy with. He has a highly dedicated fanbase and a collection of projects that they love. In April 2023, Herbo released Strictly 4 My Fans 2, the sequel to his 2016 mixtape. Over a year and a half later, he reissued the project, this time with five new tracks.

“Teflon” features an appearance from Taurus and production by Wheezy. The other four tracks, “Lionhearted,” “Breathing Heavy,” “My Soul,” and “Essence,” are solo cuts. G Herbo is in his element on the tracks, with his hard-hitting flow and dense verses about the life he was in. They’re strong additions to a mixtape his fans received well. Of course, his fans last saw G Herbo on Kai Cenat’s “Mafiathon 2” subathon on Twitch. He and his son shared an emotional moment that showed some real vulnerability. But now, he’s right back where he’s most comfortable: making music. Check out the five new tracks on Strictly 4 My Fans 2.0 below.

Kodak Black Delivers Latest Mixtape “Trill Bill”

Florida rapper Kodak Black is back with a new mixtape, Trill Bill. It’s his third release of the year, following his self-titled album Dieuson Octave and The Last Zombies on Earth, a compilation project featuring artists signed to the Vulture Love record label. Kodak has had a rough several years, with mounting legal problems stemming from multiple arrests, though then-president Donald Trump commuted one of his sentences towards the end of his first term. He has continued to drop music frequently in the interim, coming out with at least one new project every year since 2020.

Trill Bill follows a new trend for Kodak Black in that it is a much shorter release than much of his earlier work. Clocking in at 11 tracks and barely over a half hour in runtime, it is, if nothing else, a quick listen. Kodak rhymes over mid-tempo production with plenty of 808s to go around. The beats are spacy, often feeling like something a New York drill rapper might go over. It is not what one might expect from Kodak Black, especially if you remember his earlier hits. It’s a change of pace for the Florida rapper. Lyrically, it’s in line with his previous work. He knows what his fans look for out of his music and rarely deviates. It’s worked for him, as he is now ten years into his hip-hop journey with a loyal base behind him. Kodak Black’s music might not be for everyone, but it is still worth giving Trill Bill a chance. Stream the new mixtape from Kodak below.

Juice WRLD’s Posthumous “The Party Never Ends” Enlists Eminem, Nicki Minaj, Offset, & More

Juice WRLD tragically passed away back in 2019 at the height of his popularity. Overall, Juice was known for his incredible freestyling ability. His ear for melodies propelled him to superstardom and he was quite adept at cranking out the hits. However, his posthumous releases have proven to be quite controversial. Much like XXXTentacion, some fans believe the Juice WRLD estate has been disrespectful with his legacy. The artwork for his new project The Party Never Ends is a prime example.

Despite the criticism of this endeavor, there are still a ton of fans out there who want to consume as much Juice WRLD music as humanly possible. One thing that fans always knew about the artist was that he was constantly in the studio. He could make dozens of songs in one session, and that means his vault is filled to the brim with tracks. With this new album, we get 18 Juice WRLD tracks that clock in at just under an hour. There are big features here, including from Eminem, Nicki Minaj, Fall Out Boy, and even Offset.

The public reactions to this new album will be interesting to see. Juice fans are very protective of him as a whole, and there is no telling if this project will be received in the same capacity as a Legends Never Die. We just hope that estates continue to treat artists with respect and use Mac Miller as an example of how things should be done.

G-Eazy Showcases His Musical Range With New EP “Nada”

G-Eazy peaked in the 2010s. It’s hard to imagine anybody pushing against this narrative, given that all of his biggest hits came last decade. The Oakland rapper has veered into different genres in the 2020s, and tried some new sounds, but Nada marks an attempt to balance genres. The two song EP gives G-Eazy a chance to dabble in his alternative side and then turn around and give fans a hip hop banger. It works out surprisingly well.

“Vampires” is the vibe that G-Eazy has been embracing on his last couple albums. It’s dramatic, moody, and tinged with heartbreak. If you are a fan of Gerald’s last two albums, Freak Show and These Things Happen Too, then you are in luck. It’s not a bad song, but it does pale in comparison to the second song on the EP. “Nada” is one of G-Eazy’s most energetic and entertaining songs in years. It’s built on a very obvious (and very catchy) sample of Suzanne Vega’s “Tom’s Diner.” The beat is ridiculously catchy, and G-Eazy keeps the catchiness going on the rap front. The chorus is infectious, and the rapper gives fans the perfect mixture of bragging and self-awareness. We don’t know where this guy has been, but “Nada” is one of G-Eazy’s best singles in years.

J Cole Finally Drops Iconic Mixtape “Friday Night Lights” On Streaming

J Cole has been in legacy mode lately. He launched the podcast Inevitable as a means of rehashing his monumental achievements in the rap game. He’s been running through his run of mixtapes in the lead up to his final album, The Fall Off. The best part of this rollout, however, has been the fact that his mixtapes have been released to streaming platforms in conjunction with the podcast. The Come Up and The Warm Up were released, and now, Cole’s mixtape opus, Friday Night Lights, is available.

Friday Night Lights remains one of the finest showcases of J Cole’s career. It sees him produce the lion’s share of songs, and elevate his rapping from the already elite level he was at on The Warm Up. “Back to the Topic” is a dense lyrical showcase, as is his nod to Kanye West, “Villematic.” The collabs are sparse on here, but they are spectacular nonetheless. Wale delivers a show stopper of a verse on “You Got It,” Omen sobers the listener up on “Enchanted.” Most notable, however, is the classic Drake collab, “In the Morning.” It was recycled for J Cole’s major label debut, but hearing it now, with the context of the “Big Three” drama, it’s a reminder of simpler times. Friday Night Lights remains a classic release for those who grew up on Datpiff. Now, it’s available for all.

Let us know what you think of this brand new album, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Eric Bellinger Continues Impressive 2024 Run With “It’ll All Make Sense Later”

R&B sensation Eric Bellinger follows up The Rebirth 3 with his third album of the year in It’ll All Make Sense Later. This project marks a bold new chapter in Bellinger’s career, blending soulful R&B with the vibrant rhythms of Afrobeats and Amapiano. Recorded in the heart of Cape Town, South Africa, the album draws heavily from the region’s rich musical heritage. The 15 songs feature Grammy winner Burna Boy, Ghanaian Afro-fusion star Gyakie, and Nigerian talents Reekado Banks, Oxlade, Tempoe, and Taves. The result is a seamless fusion of cultures and genres, creating a sound both innovative and deeply resonant.

Reflecting on the creative process, Bellinger described the experience as transformative. “Traveling to South Africa to create this album was one of the most profound moments of my career,” he shared. “This project represents liberation and faith—a belief that what lies ahead is greater than the challenges of the present. It’s about trusting the vision and embracing the journey. I hope this album inspires my fans to do the same.”

It’ll All Make Sense Later not only explores uncharted musical territory but also signals the beginning of an exciting era for Bellinger. Jace! Delivers His Fifteenth Project Of 2024 With “Curation 4”

Jace! cites his main inspirations as Chief Keef and Summrs, among FBG Duck, and more. We can definitely see why he looks up to them because all of their discographies are quite massive just like his. However, when we listen to Curation 4, the latest offering from Jace!, we hear quite a bit of Lil Uzi Vert as well. His vocal inflections and some of the dreamy and wavy productions sound like some of the Philadelphia MC’s earlier material. You will see a lot of “Jace” coverage on our site already. However, this our first time covering “Jace!” from Fort Worth, Texas. The 21-year-old rapper, who used to go by TGE Duwap, has been making waves in the underground for a few years.

He does have a few big hits though, including “20 Min,” “Gostyle 2023 Freestyle,” “556 (Green Tip),” among others. These three alone have nearly 100 million streams combined. Jace! isn’t just a spitter though. He also produces, is an audio engineer, a guitarist, as well as a streamer. As we said, his influences are some of the more prolific names in the game, and he has some work with a handful of them. Summrs is perhaps his most notable collaborator, as according to his Genius page, they used to be close friends. Curation 4 is out everywhere now, and it’s his 15th project released overall this year! Check it out below and see what you think.
