50 Cent Hilariously Responds To Fredro Starr Taking Credit For Michael Jordan’s Baldness

Earlier this year, Fredro Starr made some bold claims about the influence of his group Onyx. According to him, their influence has extended far past the world of music, even reaching NBA star Michael Jordan. “Michael Jordan cut his hair because of us,” Starr he said during an interview with VladTV. “Michael Jordan cut his hair bald because of Onyx.”

A resurfaced clip of Starr’s claims has been circulating, and recently got the attention of 50 Cent. As expected, Fif had to weigh in. “I’m not even gonna say anything because i don’t have [to],” he wrote. “LOL,” he continued, “SMH WTF is wrong with these guys ?” 50 Cent isn’t the only user to have taken issue with Starr’s claims, as countless others shared their thoughts in the comments section. Many note that Jordan’s bald head likely had more to do with genetics than Onyx, also pointing out that the timelines simply don’t line up.

50 Cent Wonders “WTF Is Wrong With These Guys?”

Back in April, Cam’ron and Mase also discussed Starr’s claims during an episode of the It Is What It Is podcast. They too believed influencing Michael Jordan was a stretch. According to ESPN, Jordan shaved his head back in the late 80s, due to the fact that his hairline was starting to recede. This was before Onyx dropped hits like “Slam” and “Throw Ya Gunz.” Cam’ron added, “they super out of pocket [to say they influenced] Michael Jordan.”

In other 50 Cent news, the rapper continued his Final Lap Tour with a show in Edmonton, CA recently. His opening act, however, was prevented from performing by police. According to reports, the department’s anti-gang unit raised some concerns about Pressa, and eventually escorted him out of the venue. Scottie Pippen’s Ex-Wife Larsen Pippen Plans On Getting Engaged To Michael Jordan’s Son Marcus Jordan

One of the most talked about beefs in all of pop culture has to be Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan. Ever since the release of Jordan’s massive documentary, The Last Dance, Scottie has never been able to look at his former teammate the same. It really is a sad thing to witness and discuss as it seems like there is a new headline to break down quite often. They went from winning six NBA championships, with both being three-peats. Pippen and Jordan were the ultimate duo, but now they are from ever being close again.

However, they might be forced to be civil with each other fairly soon. A little while ago, ex-wife and Real Housewives Of Miami star Larsen Pippen began dating Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus. Their relationship has grown stronger, so much so that they have their own podcast, Separation Anxiety, where they discuss it with regularity. Now, it looks like they are ready to be engaged.

Scottie Pippen Seems To Be More Than Ok With This

Scottie Pippen loves taking shots at his now sworn enemy and he recently took another one from half-court recently. Reportedly, Radar Online claims that an insider revealed to them that Scottie and “Larsa are still friendly, and Scottie figures anything that gets under Michael’s skin is a victory for him.” However, another insider denies this claim. All of this is very interesting, especially with all of the noise that MJ “did not approve” of the relationship, but then it was cleared up that he was. Regardless, congratulations to Larsa and Marcus on their engagement!

What are your initial thoughts on Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife planning on engagement with Michael Jordan’s son Marcus? Why do you think Scottie is acting like this even though Larsen Pippen is planning to marry Marcus Jordan? Do you believe Scottie actually is happy about this? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. So, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Michael Jordan’s Copy Of “To Kill A Mockingbird” Goes Up For Auction

In 1995, acclaimed author Harper Lee sent Chicago Bulls star Michael Jordan a signed copy of her book To Kill A Mockingbird. The book had just turned 35 and Lee sent out a select number of signed copies to celebrities she was connected to. One of those people was Jordan. “To Michael Jordan. Best wishes, Harper Lee,” the simple note reads on the first page. It’s unclear what connection Lee and Jordan shared but it was another for Jordan to get the special treatment.

The book remained in Jordan’s possession until 2006 when it was taken by his ex-wife Juanita Vanoy as part of their divorce settlement. Additionally, the book was later acquired by a private collector. Now the book will go up for sale via an auction overseen by Moments in Time. While the price is only revealed on request, TMZ has confirmed that the auction house is seeking $24,000 for the one-of-a-kind item.

Where Does Jordan’s To Kill A Mockingbird Stack Up In Memorabilia Auctions?

Despite its one-of-a-kind status, $24,000 is an absolute bargain for Michael Jordan memorabilia. The most expensive Michael Jordan auction was for a game-worn jersey from Game 1 of the ’98 Finals. That sold for $10.1 million in September 2022. The copy of To Kill A Mockingbird does hold some value though. In 2019, a basketball signed by Jordan during his rookie season was sold for $22,000. Meanwhile, a signed photo of Jordan dunking on Magic Johnson sold for $29,000 in 2014. Additionally, a set of game-used golf clubs sold for $26,000 in 2019.

But what about book auctions? Where does this one-of-a-kind item stack up? Well, if you thought sports collectors were bad… The record sale of a book at auction was set earlier this year. In May 2023, the Codex Sassoon, a near-complete Hebrew Bible dating back to the 9th or 10th century, sold for $38.1 million. It was purchased by the American ambassador to Romania, who gifted it to the ANU Museum of the Jewish People in Tel Aviv. Meanwhile, the most expensive sale of a printed document was set in 2021. That record belongs to a first printing of the US Constitution, which was sold for $43.2 million.

Michael Jordan Sends Morning Text to Stephen A. Smith Amid Magic-Steph Debate: ‘Magic Johnson Is Easily the Best Point Guard of All Time’

Michael Jordan Makes $10 Million Donation to Make-A-Wish Foundation to Celebrate His 60th Birthday

Recently, conversation about the greatest point guard of all time has risen. The candidates are between Magic Johnson and Stephen Curry. Lately, Steph Curry claimed the throne, acknowledging Magic as his only competition. But not so fast, says Michael Jordan.

According to Stephen A. Smith, Jordan sent him a text message stating the title still belongs to Magic Johnson.

“Although greatest of anything is always a debate, I beg to differ on greatest point guard of all-time… Magic Johnson is easily the best point guard of all time. Steph Curry is very close, but not in front of Magic,” Jordan’s text read, according to Smith.

In addition to “very close,” Jordan complimented Curry, calling him “by far the best shooter of all time.”

Michael Jordan Has Stephen A. Smith Read His Magic Johnson V Steph Curry Take Live On Air

Earlier this week, Steph Curry said he is the best point guard in the history of the NBA. “Yes. It’s me and Magic is that the conversation? … Obviously, I have to answer that way,” the Warriors star said while appearing on Gilbert Arena’s podcast. Magic and Steph’s stats are surprisingly comparable – Curry has now played one more year than Johnson did (granted, Johnson cut his career short due to his HIV status). Sure, Curry is a pure PG while Magic started his career as a shooting guard but even so, Curry dominates most statistical categories between the two players.

Of course, this is one of those offseason debates that flares up when no one has anything better to talk about. Both players are elite and really at the end of the day, it’s just meaningless bragging rights. However, someone who is taking his very seriously. In fact, he’s so invested in the topic that he texted Stephen A. Smith at 6AM to provide the ESPN veteran with a statement to read on air.

Smith Reads Jordan’s Magic-Curry Take

“Good morning, sir,” Smith read. “Although greatest of anything is always a debate, I beg to differ on greatest point guard of all time, with what you said. Magic Johnson is easily the best point guard of all time. Steph Curry is very close, but not in front of Magic. You must define ‘point guard’ to really have a serious debate. Steph Curry is by far the best shooter of all time — yes, his movement has created many shots for his teammates, he’s a career 43 percent three-point shooter. But Magic Johnson invented the triple-double,” Smith continued. “Not true invented, but makes it more noticeable in terms of the impact on the game. Magic was the best. We can go on, but I don’t want to take up too much of your time. I know you get the point. By the way — Magic has five NBA championships.”

The text came after Smith agreed, and reiterated his agreement after the text, that Curry was the best PG of all time. “He asked me to read it on the air,” Smith said. “He said I’m not backing up for it. I’m tired of this argument about Magic Johnson not being the best point guard in the history of the game. He is the best point guard in the history of basketball. That is from Michael Jordan.” Perhaps Jordan will roll up to Bristol to further debate the topic in the near future.

Common Spilled About How Unimpressed Michael Jordan Was With His Basketball Skills In The NBA All-Star Celebrity Game

In a new interview with Men’s Health, Common looked back at some stories throughout his life and career. One of which was when Michael Jordan critiqued his basketball skills after watching him play in the 2010 NBA All-Star Celebrity game.

The two had crossed paths before, but reunited several times after that.

“I had met Michael before because I was a ball boy for the Bulls when I was a kid,” Common said. “He doesn’t remember me from those days, but he also had come to one of my shows in Chicago at the House Of Blues. Mike was watching my show, but I didn’t let people know he was there ’cause he was up in the balcony. Until my last song.”

“When I did, everybody just watched him and just forgot I was on stage,” he added.

Sometime later, the two talked about Common’s role in the NBA game.

“I just played in the celebrity game and hit the last free throws to seal the game,” Common said. “In this picture, when I greeted him, he told me to stick to rapping. He grounded me in this picture, for sure.”

“I couldn’t believe that he didn’t recognize that my game was actually a good game,” he joked.

Check out the full interview above.

Common Claims Michael Jordan Trashed His Hoop Skills

Common appeared in the 2010 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Playing alongside the likes of Mavs owner Mark Cuban and Hall of Famer Becky Hammon, Common iced a pair of free throws late in the game to secure the win for the team coached by Magic Johnson and Drake. The iconic rapper has appeared in a total of eight All-Star Celebrity Games, even being named MVP in 2020. He had a 10/5/5 stat line in his MVP performance.

However, that Celebrity Game prowess game in spite of some harsh words from an NBA legend back in 2010. Speaking with Men’s Health, Common recalled how he ran into Michael Jordan soon after the game. “I just played in the celebrity game and hit the last free throws to seal the game. In this picture, when I greeted him, he told me to stick to rapping. He grounded me in this picture, for sure,” he said. The incident occurred after Jordan had watched Common perform in concert.

Common Considered A Basketball Career

Soon after telling his MJ story, Common also revealed that he once considered a career in basketball. However, he reportedly switched his focus to music after suffering an injury in his junior year of high school. While he is undoubtedly a major contributor to modern hip-hop, Common took time to talk about how he valued the major contribution that Nas had made to the genre.

“That’s why we related to when Nas talked about what he talked about on Illmatic. He experienced it, and the way he told it was just beautiful. In ‘One Love,’ he talks to his boy in prison. That’s one of the greatest songs ever written,” Common said in reference to the trip to an abortion clinic that later inspired his song “Retrospect for Life”. It’s not the first time Common has lauded Nas either. “His mentality was on a whole other level, so it just made me start thinking on a different level. Illmatic is one of those things, it was like, okay — and I was probably 20, 21 — that was like life changing for me,” he said on the Bridge Podcast last year.
