In an electrifying collaboration, Ariana Grande and Mariah Carey have joined forces on a new remix of “yes, and?” This marks the first non-holiday collaboration between the two vocal powerhouses, igniting excitement among fans worldwide.
The remix of “yes, and?” follows closely on the heels of Grande’s original release just one month prior. The track debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, securing Grande’s eighth #1 and twenty-first Top 10 hit on the chart.
“yes, and?” serves as the lead single from Grande’s highly anticipated seventh album, eternal sunshine, set for release on March 8 via Republic Records. With this dynamic remix, Grande and Carey are poised to elevate the anticipation surrounding the forthcoming album to new heights.
The most interesting acts on the nomination list are Cher and A Tribe Called Quest, as both have been called out semi-recently for being snubbed. In December, during her appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Cher called out the organization for “snubbing” her in the past.
“It took four of them to be one of me,” she said. “And I’m not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! I’m not kidding you; I was about to say sh*tting you! You know what, I wouldn’t be in it now if they gave me a million dollars… I’m never going to change my mind. They can just go you-know-what themselves…I changed music forever with ‘Believe.’”
A Tribe Called Quest has been nominated multiple times but hasn’t been formally inducted. In 2023, former member Consequence spoke to TMZ about the “snub.”
“This is the family tree for me,” he said. “This is the tree that brought you G.O.O.D Music. This is the tree that allowed Common Sense to be Common. This is the right-hand man to De La Soul. Stop me when I’m lying. What we not gonna do is keep subjugating that name, A Tribe Called Quest, to a white popularity contest.”
The voting members of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame have their work cut out for them.
Yesterday, Cannon’s interview with E! News made the rounds. “I mean, you gotta ask her!” Cannon responded after being asked if they would reconcile. “Let me know what she say!”
“Ask her, text me, we can talk through you,” he continued. “It’s Valentine’s is in the air, you can be the chocolate cupid. Let’s do it, I’m with it.”
Carey recently separated from her boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka, which seemingly prompted the question during Cannon’s interview. That, and the reconnection of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, who were finally married despite breaking up decades prior.
Cannon and Carey were married back in 2008, before finalizing their divorce in 2016. (Their separation process started two years prior.) The two also share a pair of twins and have been co-parenting.

Lil Nas X has been active in the lead-up to his new single “J Christ,” whether he’s maybe (but maybe not) enrolling in a Biblical studies program, showing off some genuine gospel music, or re-creating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. His “J Christ” video is set to drop this Friday, but ahead of then, he has again indulged in attention-grabbing antics with a new video teaser.
The 20-second video shows a long line of people in white robes, walking through a field, which looks like the iconic Windows XP wallpaper, and up a literal stairway to Heaven. In that line are a bunch of celebrity impersonators, of Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, and Barack Obama, as well as a couple who aren’t quite as perfect a visual match but who appear to represent Ed Sheeran and Oprah Winfrey.
Ever since he first burst onto the scene with “Old Town Road,” Nas has proven that he’s a viral marketing master, and this whole “J Christ” rollout is just another shining example of that.
In response to backlash over his crucifixion image, Nas wrote, “the crazy thing is nowhere in the picture is a mockery of jesus. Jesus’s image is used throughout history in people’s art all over the world. I’m not making fun of sh*t. yall just gotta stop trying to gatekeep a religion that was here before any of us were even born. stfu.”

Fans had noticed that Tanaka had not been present for the majority of Carey’s holiday tour, nor had he joined her and her children in Aspen for Christmas. Carey and Tanaka, a former backup dancer turned choreographer, met professionally in 2006, but did not start dating until 2016 and began dating following Carey’s breakup with former fiancé James Packer. The two reportedly dated on and off for about seven years before announcing their split on Tuesday.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Carey has not made any public comments regarding the breakup.
