Diddy’s Lawyers Want His Shackles Removed For Next Court Hearing

Diddy’s legal team has filed a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian requesting that authorities remove the shackles from the Bad Boy mogul ahead of his court hearing on Tuesday. They argue that the restraints will influence possible jurors into being biased against him ahead of trial. The hearing is to discuss accusations from the defense that prosecutors unlawfully seized materials from Diddy’s jail cell.

“Given the press attention on the pretrial proceedings in this case, there is a substantial risk that potential jurors will learn about the shackling through the media and develop such a bias,” Diddy’s team wrote in the letter. They concluded: “Because there is absolutely no reason to shackle Mr. Combs during court proceedings, and because such shackling prejudices the potential jury pool, undermines his presumption of innocence, interferes with his ability to communicate with counsel, and offends the dignity and decorum of the proceedings, we respectfully request that the Court direct the U.S. Marshals Service to remove his shackles before bringing him into the courtroom.”

As for the alleged raid on Diddy’s prison cell, his team labeled it “outrageous government conduct amounting to a substantive due process violation.” It allegedly allowed prosecutors to view “privileged notes to his lawyers concerning defense witnesses and defense strategies.” Diddy’s been staying at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York since his arrest on charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering, having been denied bail on multiple occasions.

Diddy will appear in court at 3:00 PM, ET on Tuesday to discuss the recent raid on his prison cell. He has pleaded not guilty and repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in the case. Check out the letter from Diddy’s legal team below.

Diddy’s Lawyer Reveals Mogul’s Biggest Struggle In Jail

It’s no secret that Diddy has a lot on his plate at the moment. Last month, the Bad Boy founder was arrested in New York City and hit with charges related to alleged racketeering and sex trafficking. He’s also currently facing various lawsuits from several individuals accusing him of sexual assault, abuse, and more. Yesterday (October 10), he appeared in court, where he was offered a May 2025 trial date. Reportedly, his attorney Marc Agnifilo agreed, though it’s unclear whether or not the date is set in stone. He also didn’t get any news on his third bail attempt, meaning that he’ll remain behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn for the time being.

Obviously, his current situation would be pretty difficult for anyone to navigate. His biggest struggle in jail, however, might not be what one would expect. Outside of the courtroom, Agnifilo chatted with reporters and provided some insight into the mogul’s lackluster diet.

“I think the food’s probably the roughest part of it,” Agnifilo said of Diddy’s stay in jail, according to People. Fortunately for Diddy, he has a solid support system behind him as he fights for his freedom. All but one of his children were spotted at his court hearing yesterday, joined by his mother Janice Combs.

The kids were very happy to support their father. The whole family was. They are united in their support and he was happy to see them all there,” a source told People. What do you think of Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo revealing the toughest part of jail for the mogul? Are you surprised that according to him, it’s food? Diddy’s Lawyer Delivers An Update On His Client’s State Of Mind

It’s no secret that Diddy has a long road ahead of him, as he’s currently facing several charges related to alleged sex trafficking and racketeering. The Bad Boy founder was arrested earlier this month in New York City and remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Reportedly, he could be hit with a lengthy prison sentence if he’s convicted. According to his lawyer Marc Agnifilo, however, he hasn’t let that shake his confidence.

During his appearance in TMZ‘s new documentary, The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment, Agnifilo gave an update on how his client is doing following his arrest. “His state of mind is actually remarkably positive,” he explained. “His resolve is strong, he’s engaged, he’s focused on his defense… He’s come to terms with the fact that this is where he is for now.”

Agnifilo continued, speculating that concentrating on his defense is giving Diddy the strength he needs to carry him through this difficult time. While the mogul appears to be doing well despite the circumstances, his legal issues are still mounting. Late last week, for example, he was hit with his twelfth lawsuit in the past 11 months. An anonymous woman accuses him of sexually assaulting, drugging, and threatening her. She additionally alleges that she was impregnated by Diddy.

In this latest lawsuit, Diddy’s alleged victim also accuses Yung Miami of trying to harass and pressure her into getting an abortion. In the end, she alleges that she had a miscarriage. “Jane Doe informed defendant Combs of the positive test. Caresha Brownlee, defendant Combs’ associate, harassed Jane Doe by repeatedly calling her and telling Jane Doe to have an abortion. Jane Doe suffered a miscarriage and did not speak to defendant Combs or his team for approximately three months,” the suit reads. What do you think of Diddy’s lawyer claiming that he’s been able to stay positive despite his current circumstances? Diddy’s Attorney Reveals Whether Or Not He’ll Take A Plea Deal

Now that federal officials have arrested Diddy – and after the court denied his bond twice – many wonder how the actual trial will develop. Some, like Katt Williams, think that he will snitch on many of his colleagues to catch a break, but there isn’t anything indicating that. Others are more inclined to believe that Sean Combs and his legal team will fight tooth and nail in court to advocate for his innocence, especially given their statements as of late. Well, thanks to the new TMZ documentary on Tubi, The Downfall Of Diddy: The Indictment, we have an idea of what his legal strategy is when it comes to cooperation.

During the documentary, TMZ Studios spoke to Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo. He said that the Bad Boy mogul will not take a plea deal in his case on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Agnifilo also remarked that he will fight this case in court not just for his individual situation, but for others who face similar obstacles. As for why the legal team will not accept a plea deal even if prosecutors offer it, he cited his client’s supposed innocence as the reason why they see no need for it.

In addition, Marc Agnifilo said that Diddy wants to inspire other people that federal officials are prosecuting and lead them to fight back against their perceived persecution. He also posited that the New York businessman is thinking of his family a lot, and wants to prove his alleged innocence and his sense of self to them. He wants to prove he’s still the same man they love deep down. These comments come after Agnifilo characterized the federal indictment against his client as a racially motivated attack against a successful Black man.

Meanwhile, an alleged sex worker’s supposed testimony in front of a federal grand jury could result in new charges and problems for Diddy. However, we still have yet to see what this could result in. Many open questions remain ahead of the trial, which doesn’t have a set timeline at press time. But a plea deal doesn’t look like a likely possibility.

Diddy’s Lawyer Alleges That Diddy’s Hostile Treatment Is Racially Motivated

Diddy’s fame and fortune has not helped him as of late. The Bad Boy founder has been treated with hostility by the federal officers who arrested and the courts. He has been denied bail twice, and been relegated to the hostile Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, has tried tirelessly to improve his client’s conditions. He’s tried several different media spins, and how he’s claiming that Diddy is being unjustly prosecuted on the basis of his skin color.

Agnifilo is one of the talking heads who appear in the new TMZ documentary The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment. As the title suggests, the doc details the legal proceedings that have played out over the last few weeks. Agnifilo alleged that the feds targeted his client because he is a “successful Black man.” The lawyer makes the unfounded claim that the feds have been after Diddy for years. He suggests that Diddy was clean on the business and tax side of things, so law enforcement turned towards the bedroom. Marc Agnifilo even pointed to the indictment of New York City Mayor Eric Adams to support his theory.

Agnifilo Claims Diddy Has Been A Fed Target For Years

Mayor Adams was indicted on federal charges on September 25. The politician attempted to frame his indictment as a consequence of his skin color. As he prepared to speak in front of a crowd on Thursday, however, a man in the crowd called him out. “This is not a black thing,” the man yelled. “This is a YOU thing, Eric Adams. Your policies are anti-Black. You are a disgrace to all Black people in this city…” The clip quickly went viral. The exchange certainly does little to support the “racism against Diddy” claims. Ironically, Adams was the man who gave Diddy a key to the city in 2023.

Despite this alleged persecution, Agnifilo told TMZ documentarians that Diddy is eager to take the stand in his trial. “I don’t know that I could keep him off the stand,” the lawyer asserted. “think he is very eager to tell his story.” Agnifilo also suggested that Diddy’s words would alter the way the public views him. “I think he will tell every part of his story,” he added. “Including what you see on the video.”

Diddy’s Lawyer Tries To Explain Why He’d Have 1,000 Bottles Of Baby Oil

Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, sat down with TMZ for a new interview in the wake of the Bad Mogul’s arrest in New York City, last week. In doing so, he discussed the federal indictment against his client mentioning 1,000 bottles of baby oil being found on his property.

“I can’t imagine it’s thousands,” he said. “I’m not exactly sure what the baby oil has to do with anything… I don’t know what you need 1,000 for. One bottle of baby oil goes a long way. I don’t know what you need 1,000 for. He has a big house. He buys in bulk. I think they have Costcos in every place where he has a home. Have you sat in the parking lot of a Costco and seen what people walk out of there with?”

Agnifilo previously defended Diddy storing baby oil in his home while speaking with The New York Post. He told that outlet: “These are consensual adults doing what consensual adults do, you know, we can’t get so puritanical in this country to think that somehow sex is a bad thing because if it was there would be no more people.”

Marc Agnifilo Discusses Diddy’s Indictment

In the federal indictment, the U.S. Attorney’s Office goes into detail about Diddy’s alleged “Freak Offs.” The document alleges: “Combs’ sexual abuse of women included causing them to engage in frequent, days-long sexual activity with male commercial sex workers, some of whom were transported over state lines. These events, which Combs’ referred to as ‘Freak Offs,’ were elaborate sex performances that Combs arranged, directed, and often electronically recorded. To ensure participation in Freak Offs, Combs used violence and intimidation, and leveraged his power over victims.” Diddy has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Diddy Is Stuck At “Horrific” Jail As His Lawyer Reveals Nothing More Can Be Done

Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, is giving up on getting the Bad Boy mogul out of the infamous Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after his appeal failed, last week. In a court filing obtained by AllHipHop, the attorney explained that, at this point, there’s nothing left that can be done until further notice. He had previously requested that his client at least be moved to Essex County after being unable to get him out on bail. The rapper’s legal team had described the conditions at MDC Brooklyn as “horrific.”

“Following the September 18, 2024 court appearance, the court ordered a status update from counsel concerning any request related to the location of Mr. Combs’ detention,” his lawyer Marc Agnifilo wrote. “At this point, there is no request from counsel that the court take any action.”

Authorities arrested Diddy, last week, sharing a 14-page federal indictment against him. “For decades, Sean Combs … abused, threatened and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation and conceal his conduct,” the indictment read. “To do so, Combs relied on the employees, resources and influence of the multi-faceted business empire that he led and controlled—creating a criminal enterprise whose members and associates engaged in and attempted to engage in, among other crimes, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.” He’s since pleaded not guilty and has denied all of the allegations.

At the Brooklyn jail, Diddy is currently on suicide watch, although Agnifilo has clarified that the move is standard procedure for new, high-profile inmates. R. Kelly, Jeffrey Epstein, and more celebrities have stayed there in the past. Be on the lookout for further updates on Diddy on HotNewHipHop.

Diddy Is Receiving “Treatment And Therapy” Amid Federal Indictment

Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, says his client has been receiving “treatment and therapy” as federal prosecutors published a 14-page indictment against him on Tuesday. While Agnifilo didn’t clarify for what specifically Diddy is being treated, he did admit he’s “not a perfect person. “There’s been drug use, there’s been toxic relationships – which I think were mutual in their toxicity as these things often are,” he said at his arraignment on Tuesday.

In an attempt to get the Bad Boy mogul out on bail, Agnifilo argued that Diddy is working on bettering himself, is willing to pay $50 million, and would be okay with going on house arrest in Miami with constant survivance if it meant avoiding jail. Regardless, Judge Robyn Tarnofsky ruled against doing so, instead arguing, “this is a crime that happens behind closed doors, even when pretrial services is monitoring,” as caught by CNN.

In turn, Diddy has wound up behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Agnifilo told reporters after the arraignment that he intends to appeal the decision. “He’s going to clear his name and we’re going to stand by his side as he does. We believe in him wholeheartedly,” he said. “He came here to turn himself in. Why doesn’t the government want him to turn himself in? Because then they can’t ask for detention. All we can do is show good faith. He got on a plane and he came here. They arrested a guy who came here to turn himself in.”

Diddy’s legal team has labeled the condition at the jail in Brooklyn where he now resides as “horrific” and cited several suicides that have taken place there in recent years. Be on the lookout for further updates on Diddy on HotNewHipHop.

Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, told reporters that he’ll “fight like hell” for the Bad Boy mogul, who is facing allegations of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking in a federal indictment. Agnifilo discussed the case outside of the courtroom where Diddy’s arraignment took place on Tuesday morning.

“We knew this was coming,” Agnifilo said, as caught by XXL. “He moved to New York as I think some of you guys know. We brought him to New York two weeks ago because we knew this day was gonna come and it’s here…It’s not planned by us. He came here to surrender at a time agreeable to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and then they arrested him last night. I spent the evening with him…His spirits are good, he’s confident, he’s dealing with this head-on the way he’s dealt with every challenge in his life and he’s not guilty. He’s innocent of these charges.”
