Caitlin Clark And Angel Reese’s ‘You Can’t See Me’ Taunts Are A Reminder That Tony Yayo Is Behind This

Angel Reese notched her 34th double-double in the NCAA Division I national championship game — the most in one season in Division I history — and boosted the LSU Tigers to an historic 102-85 win over Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The Tigers’ 102 points are the most-ever in an NCAA women’s title game, and the result was the first-ever national championship for LSU in men’s or women’s basketball. So, yeah, Reese (the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, by the way) was rightfully feeling herself.

People are mad — and telling on themselves in their racist and sexist outrage.

The backstory: Clark hit the “you can’t see me” during Iowa’s 97-83 Elite Eight trouncing of Louisville. She put up a triple-double with 41 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists. Mostly everybody loved her confidence. But when Reese served Clark the “you can’t see me” as time was expiring in the national championship, Reese was ridiculed for being too cocky or whatever.

“Caitlin Clark is a hell of a player, for sure, but I don’t take disrespect lightly,” Reese said on ESPN afterward.

The backstory to the backstory: The one thing everybody seemed to agree on was crediting John Cena with inventing the “you can’t see me,” and Cena chimed in after Clark’s celebration in the Elite Eight. But it turns out the discourse over its usage was just as misguided as the understanding of its origin. Before Cena popularized the catchphrase and hand gesture in WWE, there was G-Unit’s Tony Yayo in the “So Seductive” video featuring 50 Cent. (For what it’s worth, Cena has credited Yayo in the past.)

Look no further than the 32-second mark:

“LISTEN JOHN CENA DID NOT INVENT THE ‘YOU CAN’T SEE ME,’” The Kid Mero tweeted. “TONY YAYO DID AND IDK WHY HES NOT MORE VOCAL ABOUT IT.”

Another tweeter noted, “At the end of the day, Tony Yayo is the cause of all of this LMAO.”

As for Clark and Reese, Clark wasn’t bothered by Reese’s excellent taunt, and Reese used the moment to speak on the purpose behind her unabashed authenticity.

“All year, I was critiqued about who I was,” Reese said during her postgame presser. “I don’t fit the narrative. I don’t fit in the box that y’all want me to be in. I’m too hood. I’m too ghetto. Y’all told me that all year. But when other people do it, y’all don’t say nothing. So this was for the girls who look like me, that’s gonna speak up on what they believe in. It’s unapologetically you, and that’s who I did it for tonight.”

She continued, “It was bigger than me tonight. It was bigger than me. Twitter is gonna go on a rage every time, and I mean, I’m happy. I feel like I helped grow women’s basketball this year. I’m super happy and excited, so I’m looking forward to celebrating and then next season.”

In other words, you will see Angel Reese.

Boosie Badazz Shares Hilarious Reaction To LSU’s Huge Win

Boosie is someone who loves sports a whole lot. Overall, he is constantly showing love to the teams that he supports the most. For instance, one can frequently find the artist courtside at Atlanta Hawks games. This is always a great place to be, especially with Trae Young always showcasing his talents. However, there are times when Boosie would rather just watch a game from the comfort of his own him. On Sunday, that is exactly what he did as he took in the National Championship game between the LSU and Iowa women’s basketball teams.

Ultimately, this was a matchup for the ages. Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark were looking to lead their teams to victory. On the LSU side, Reese was as confident as ever. Overall, she clearly had the better team on her side as Clark wanted to drag her team across the finish line. Consequently, LSU was able to pull out the victory in style. Of course, Boosie was cheering for the Tigers, who did not let him down. Just like every other LSU fan, he was having the time of his life as the purple and gold won in a blowout.

Boosie Was Having Himself A Great Time

Additionally, Boosie decided to share his reactions to the game on social media. In the clip below, you can see his reaction to some plays from Jasmine Carson. As you can see, Carson has bright-colored hair, that Boosie likened to Ice Spice. Numerous times throughout the clip, the artist says “that’s our LSU Ice Spice.” Subsequently, after the team’s win, he made fun of Caitlin Clark by saying “Larry Bird come get your daughter.” It was a pretty hilarious moment that is indicative of what a character Boosie can be.

In terms of this game, it was a massive deal for women’s basketball. The women’s game has been growing substantially over the last little while. Furthermore, with stars like Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark making names for themselves, there appears to be real crossover interest. Overall, this is a great thing to witness, and we hope the game continues to grow for years to come. Let us know if you watched the LSU and Iowa game, in the comments down below.

Louisiana’s Own Boosie Had Some Caitlin Clark Trash Talk After LSU Beat Iowa: ‘Larry Bird, Come Get Your Daughter’

The 2023 NCAA Women’s National Championship game went down yesterday (April 2), and despite Iowa’s Caitlin Clark delivering a series of star-making performances throughout the tournament, it was Angel Reese and LSU who came out ahead in the ultimate contest, winning 102 to 85.

Louisiana native Boosie Badazz was pretty excited about the whole thing, even coming through with some trash talk directed at Clark. In one clip he shared on social media, the rapper repeats, “Larry Bird, come get your daughter!” In another video, he calls LSU’s Jasmine Carson “LSU Ice Spice” due to her Ice Spice-like hair.

Elsewhere, Boosie, mirroring the tradition carried out by the championship-winning team, cut down the net on a hoop at his own house.

LSU previously showed love to Boosie by celebrating with his music in the locker room after clinching a spot in the championship game.

Meanwhile, Boosie recently spoke about Jay-Z’s relevance, saying, “When I go to these clubs in Atlanta — these 25-to-35 clubs — I’m not hearing Nas, I’m not hearing Jay-Z. Every club I go in, it’s not one or the other… Jay-Z is respected by these people for being the boss that he is. When Jay-Z flashes across that muthaf*cka, it’s somethin’ with a billion dollars; it’s somethin’ with 500 billion, 200 billion when them young n****s see him. It ain’t his songs flashing across no f*ckin’ social media; it’s his hustle. That n**** got hustle.”

Lil Wayne Facetimes LSU Women’s Basketball Team After Final Four Win

Lil Wayne facetimed with the LSU women’s basketball team after their Final Four win over Virginia Tech on Friday. The interaction comes after he was called out by players on the team for congratulating their Elite Eight opponent, Miami. Wayne addressed the confusion regarding his loyalty during an interview on The Bird & Taurasi Show at the Final Four game.

“I got in trouble from the Bayou Barbie,” Lil Wayne said. “She let me know … I got checked. Bayou Barbie checked me. It’s all good.” LSU star Angel Reese had remarked during a press conference ahead of the game: “I’m on him because he’s from NOLA and he called them before he called us.”

LSU head coach Kim Mulkey remarked afterward that she also spoke with Wayne and that the rapper claimed to know players on Miami for years. Mulkey added that they’ve since made amends and likes his taste in music. “He said he knew the twins from something else early on,” Mulkey said. “Lil Wayne is a Louisiana guy. I was talking to him after the game last night. He’s a treat, and the girls love him. And if the girls love him, I love him. Anything he can do to promote our program and LSU and Louisiana, I’m all for. He even likes my country music. He wants to use that (singing) ‘All my exes … (live in Texas)’ he wants to use that as a sample, whatever that means. So, I just nod my head and say sounds good to me.”

LSU will now take on Iowa in the national championship game. In addition to Angel Reese, LSU’s roster boasts hip-hop artist Flau’jae Johnson. After advancing to the championship, Johnson teased working on a collaboration with Wayne on Twitter. “Lil Wayne collab?? And playing for a National Championship… My life is a movieeeee,” she wrote. The national championship is scheduled for Sunday at 3:30 PM, ET.

Four teenagers have been arrested in the rape of a Louisiana State University sorority member after she was dumped on the side of the road and fatally struck by a car following a night of drinking, police said. Questions gave been made about establishments and underage drinking.

Kaivon Deondre Washington, 18, Everett Lee, 28, and Casen Carver, 18, turned themselves in Monday, more than a week after 19-year-old Madison Brooks was fatally struck in Baton Rouge, the Advocate reported. A fourth suspect, a 17-year-old boy who had not been identified because he is a minor, turned himself in on Sunday, the outlet reported.

Carver admitted to police that Brooks “was very unstable on her feet, was not able to keep her balance, and was unable to speak clearly without slurring her words,” the document states. Carver told investigators he witnessed Brooks and the 17-year-old boy “hugging and walking together,” saying she asked for a ride home.

“He admitted that he agreed to give her a ride because he did not want to leave her while very intoxicated and the bar was closing up,” the arrest warrant says. Carver told authorities that he sat in the driver’s seat and Lee was in the front passenger seat, while Washington and the 17-year-old were in the back along with Brooks.

He said he asked Brooks for her address, “but she fell over and could not answer him.” the warrant says, “so he drove a short distance and pulled over.” Carver “stated he overheard his 17-year-old juvenile friend as he asked the victim five times if she wanted to have sex with him,” to which Brooks “gave verbal consent,” according to the document.

Washington and an unidentified 17-year-old were charged with third-degree rape, while Lee and Carver were charged with principle to third-degree rape. Ron Haley, an attorney for two of the suspects, told WAFB that this was “absolutely not a rape. Listen, this is a tragedy, definitely not a crime.”

He told the outlet that a video taken during the incident shows Brooks was coherent.

“Can you tell that she was intoxicated, yes. To the point under the law that you say you’re in a drunken stupor, to the point that you cannot lawfully give consent or answer questions, absolutely that was not the case,” Haley told WAFB.

The attorney claimed Brooks and Carver got into an argument in his car.

“Based on a disagreement, she got out of the vehicle. She indicated she was getting an Uber. I want the public to know, these young men or really the driver of the vehicle and the young men that were in there, did not put her off on the side of the road,” he said.

Do you think the bars should be held responsible for underage drinking?
