Flau’jae Drops Her Biggest Project To Date With “Best Of Both Worlds”

“I love combining my two talents. Best of Both Worlds shows you don’t have to choose one path—you can excel in multiple arenas”, Flau’jae said in a press release according to Complex. “This project reflects who I am — a basketball player, a rapper, and someone who refuses to be put in a box. I hope my fans can feel the passion and dedication I’ve poured into every song”. The LSU Tigers junior guard has been one of the main stars of that basketball program. If she decides to enter the WNBA Draft, she will for sure be a face of that league as well. However, as she stated, Flau’jae is not settling for one career path.

Over the last few years, Ms. Johnson has been ramping up her musical activity. Most of the progress has been made through singles and EPs. But helping propel her forward have been some faces that hip-hop fans will recognize. For example, leading up to the release of Best Of Both Worlds, Flau’jae got in the studio with 2Rare and NLE Choppa for two out of the five promotional tracks. As a result, both have become two of her most popular songs on streaming. Additionally, she had the opportunity to work with a Louisiana legend in Lil Wayne for “Came Out A Beast”, which is also popping off right now.

Overall, Flau’jae has the talent, the star power, and the connections to really grow her platform in the rap industry. We do not have a lot of female basketball players that can also spit, so she is becoming a pioneer right before our eyes. What has also been a cool byproduct of Best Of Both Worlds for her is that she now has a podcast of the same name. According to Sports Illustrated, it is co-hosted by her mother and is receiving backing from the major sports media outlet, Overtime. If you want, you can check out Flau’jae’s first episode with WNBA great Breanna Stewart.

Angel Reese Shushes Critics After Graduating From LSU: “Thought Somebody Without A College Degree Said Sum”

Angel Reese is seemingly going to be followed by critics for the rest of her life. Ever since transferring from the University of Maryland to head to Louisiana State, she has had to constantly deal with scrutiny. Her competitive fire on and off the hardwood has led her to be viewed as a controversial figure. Unfortunately, most of hate she has gotten over the last two years or so has pretty much been unearned. However, when you join a major program, more eyes and ears are on you at all times. Of course, the main headline that swirled around the power forward was her alleged low GPA. What was really surprising throughout all of that was that Flau’jae Johnson’s (a now former teammate) parents were feuding with Angel’s parents about this. However, with Angel Reese graduating from LSU, she can put a damper on them and everyone else who had something to say.

According to The Shade Room, the number seven overall draft pick of the Chicago Sky posted some pictures of her in her “Bayou Barbie” graduation cap and black suit just yesterday. Angel graduated in four years with a major in interdisciplinary studies and minors in communication studies, leadership development and psychology. The caption for the post was fitting, addressing all of the doubters and fools who believed the supposed fake news. “So now what? what was said? oh okay that’s what i thought. I graduated from THE LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY IN 4 YEARS ON TIME💋 i thought somebody without a college degree said sum.😘

Supporters came in droves to congratulate Angel across all of her social media accounts. “oh cause who not pretty & smart? i see a BIG GRAD that’s TOP PRIORITY 🤭😘” one user writes. “OH OKAYYY! Congratulations!🎉 🎓Beauty, brains, & talent!🔥” another adds. We will never know the true reason why Angel Reese missed time, but that information honestly does not need to come out. Congratulations to the grad!

Angel Reese Reveals Her WNBA Decision To Vogue

Angel Reese is easily one of the most electrifying players we have seen in college basketball. Overall, she has had a friendly rivalry with Caitlin Clark, who some believe can become the greatest women’s hooper ever. The two played each other on Monday, and it was an instant classic game. Since that time, Reese has been put in an impossible position. She had to decide whether or not she would stay at LSU for another year, or go to the WNBA. Ultimately, this is a harder decision than it looks, mostly because of the NIL factor.

Today, Reese revealed her decision on in a new feature for Vogue. In this feature, Reese explained just how hard it was to make the decision. However, it is now confirmed that Reese has declared for the WNBA draft. She will now be in a draft class with Clark, and will likely be a lottery pick. In fact, it is very likely that she is the second pick in the draft. No matter what, this ushers in the end of an era at LSU. Reese was phenomenal with the school, and fans will remember her time there fondly.

Angel Reese Responds After AI Nudes Go Viral On Social Media

Angel Reese has been working hard this past year. Overall, she won the NCAA Championship with LSU in April of 2023. Subsequently, she became a household name who is certainly going to do big things in the WNBA. Moreover, her LSU Tigers are a powerhouse yet again, and they are expected to do big things at the NCAA tournament. At this point in her career, Reese has a bright future, and fans are excited to see what she can do. This is only exacerbated by her new rivalry with Caitlin Clark, who could very well be the greatest women’s basketball player of all time.

Unfortunately, Angel Reese has to deal with a lot of BS online. Firstly, you have the haters who just want to rain on her parade. Secondly, you have the racist basketball fans who dog whistle by calling her “arrogant” or a “showboat.” Lastly, you have weirdos who try and make up stories online. For instance, a rogue account came out and posted nudes of Angel Reese. However, it was immediately made clear that these images were made with AI. In fact, Reese addressed the controversy on Twitter.

Angel Reese Has Bigger Things To Think About

“Creating fake AI pictures of me is crazy and weird AF!” she wrote. “Like i know im fine & seem to have an appeal to some but im literally 21 and yall doing this bs when i would neverrrrrr.” AI nudes are certainly disgusting, and they have continued to be a huge problem. Massive stars are becoming victims to it all, and social media companies won’t combat it. Hopefully, something changes fast before more young women are taken advantage of in this regard.

Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments section down below. What do you think needs to happen for these things to stop happening? Is it time politicians stepped up? Flau’jae Johnson’s Brother Clowned For Jumping On The Court Amid LSU & South Carolina Brawl

Flau’jae Johnson and the LSU Tigers were looking to do big things on Sunday as they played in the SEC finals. Overall, South Carolina came into the game undefeated and there was a sense that it would be a difficult game for the Tigers. In the end, that proved to be true as they lost the match 79-72. South Carolina came through with the SEC title and now, they get to go into March Madness with a huge advantage. However, the game wasn’t historic for the on-court product. Instead, it was the end-of-game fight that fans remember.

As we reported already, Flau’jae Johnson and Kamilla Cardoso got into it close to the end of the game. Johnson was shoved to the ground by Cardoso and it led to a bit of a brawl on the floor. Players had to be broken up and there were even some ejections that took place. However, the star of the entire scuffle was Flau’jae’s brother. In the footage below, you can see him spring into action to defend his sister. Once he made it to the floor, he realized he made a big mistake and was eventually taken away in handcuffs.

Flau’jae Johnson Vs. South Carolina

Following this event, Johnson was clowned on Twitter for his actions. After all, he is a grown man who jumped on the floor to go after college-aged women. It wasn’t the greatest look, and fans couldn’t help but point that out online. Not to mention, with the Tigers losing, it was simply insult to injury. Although, there were definitely some who appreciated Flau’jae’s brother for being a “real one” in this situation. It is clear that he has a lot of love for his sister, and he didn’t want her to be in a bad spot. Hopefully, he doesn’t do this again during March Madness.

Twitter Gets Some Jokes Off

LSU Champion Flau’jae Johnson Shares Her Secret To Rapping As Well As She Hoops

“I just had chills going through my body,” NCAA National Champion and Roc Nation artist Flau’Jae Johnson said of the moment Louisiana State University won as her song “Big 4” blasted throughout the American Airlines Center with confetti dancing in the air while The Tigers celebrated a historic win.

When the LSU women’s basketball team devastated No. 2 Iowa in the National Championship 102-85 in April, it marked the first time the women’s basketball team ever won a national championship.

“The fact that I’m being recognized for my music as well as my basketball at the highest level, that was a breathtaking moment for me. Both of my lives crossed over how I wanted it to. It was an amazing feeling,” the young guard told Uproxx over the phone. “It felt like a movie.”

The song and moment magically aligned perfectly. “August of last year I recorded that,” she told me about the making of “Big 4.”

“We was in weight training with my team and we always played music on the aux, and my teammate LaDazhia [Williams] played this song and I couldn’t get it out of my head. I was like, “I’mma use this and I’mma rap on it.’ It just came out the way it came. I kept hearing the beat in my head and I didn’t know what it was. Once I figured out what it was, I asked LaDazhia, I’m like, what song is that? I remixed and then I made it my song.”

The 19-year-old Savannah, Georgia student-rapper-athlete credits consistency for her ability to tap into both talents successfully like a real-life Hannah Montana. “I’m a basketball player doing something that’s never been done before,” she told me.

Daughter of Jason “Camoflauge” Johnson, known for his song “Cut Friends” who passed away before she was born in 2003, Flau’jae is merely carrying the torch. Her drive and passion for basketball and music are unmatched.

“I’ve been playing basketball ever since I could walk. So, I’ve been hooping for a long time,” she said of her beginnings. “At a young age I just loved music. At six or seven, I started freestyling in the car and rapping for my mom. I always had an ear for music. Even when I didn’t really know what I was saying.”

On the court, she wears the number 4, which she revealed holds sentimental meaning. “[James] Murdock, who was a huge basketball player in Savannah, got killed and he used to hang around my father. He’s real known in Savannah and he’s hardest player to wear four,” she explained. “So, I was always four and I wear four for Murdock. Rest in peace to him.”

With so much going on in the city of Savannah, Flau’jae’s focus is something like Obi-Wan Kenobi’s — it cannot be broken.

Her basketball and rap interests are fueled by the same thing: “To want to be great,” the rising talent shared. “Wanting to be good at my craft, wanting to excel, wanting to be the best version of myself. That’s the best part. That’s what fuels everything I do. Just wanting to be the best.”

Being a college student-athlete as a freshman at a school like Louisiana State University on the women’s basketball team comes with all kinds of pressure. Pressure from not only the school but from LSU fans across the globe expecting their favorite team to show up with nothing less than a win. I had to ask her the secret to maintaining a smooth state of flow between basketball practices and going to the studio.

“Just being consistent,” she answered. “When I feel like I’m pushing on everything and I’m doing it the right way and I got a schedule lined up, that’s the best way for me to be successful in both areas. Being consistent in that makes everything on track. Me being able to create music when I’m feeling the best way is when I’m being consistent with basketball, music, working out, going to the studio. And, I’m actually doing my big one.”

Flau’jae’s “Big 4” isn’t the only song that’s catching a lot of attention, she also recently remixed Hot 100 hit “Put It On Da Floor” by fellow The Rap Game alum Latto into her own freestyle titled “Clickbait.”

“She told me that she really liked the remix that I did,” she revealed. “She wanted me to get in the video. Hopefully we can make that happen. Latto shows big love.”

Meanwhile, the video for Latto’s official “Put It On Da Floor Again” remix with Cardi B happens to feature a cameo from her teammate Angel Reese thanks to Cardi’s line “I been ballin’ so damn hard, could’ve went to LSU.” She and Reese also made a special appearance in NLE Choppa’s heartwarming music video for “Champions.”

On top of that, Flau’jae’s business-savvy partnership with Roc Nation is evidence that her formula is working.

“I own everything. I own my masters. I got creative control. That’s what I wanted. A deal where I could be in control and be able to write the narrative of how I wanted to, for my story. They understood the vision of me. A lot of people didn’t understand the vision of me being a rapper and an artist and being in college. Roc Nation understood it. They really seen what I could be in the future. I appreciate them.”

Ahead of Flau’jae’s second year as an LSU basketball player, she plans to unleash a collection of songs for an official EP.

“I got my project Basketball World dropping this summer, ‘Big 4 Anthem,’ my song with 2Rare going to drop after that. The music I got out right now, we got ‘Clickbait’ going stupid right now. I’m super excited, man. Stay tapped in.”

Hailey Van Lith Commits To LSU

Hailey Van Lith created her own star in the 2023 Women’s Basketball Tournament. The former Louisville star carried her heart on her sleeve and wasn’t afraid to show her emotions. Lousiville’s tournament run ended in the Elite 8 after a classic game with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Since then, Van Lith believed her time with the Cardinals was over. Any team that would gain Van Lith would instantly become a top team. But what happens when the top team gets the top transfer?

On Thursday, Van Lith announced her intentions to join the LSU basketball program. A huge addition to a team that was already thinking repeat. However, the addition of Van Lith may now have the team not only thinking championship. But thinking about the opportunity for perfection. The Tigers roster is already filled with massive talent. Including Angel Reese, Flau’jae Johnson, and Alexis Morris. Now, it only looks like the rich will only be getting richer.

Hailey Van Lith Makes LSU Even Better

LSU is becoming the place to be for all women athletes. Van Lith’s commitment to the Tigers gives the program three of the top ten NIL stars for women’s sports. The Tigers also have an athlete in the first spot, Livvy Dunne. While the talk of NIL and super teams is nice, fans can’t forget head coach Kim Mulkey. Many were stunned when Mulkey walked away from the head position at Baylor. Mulkey had created a dominant force with the Bears. However, it took the legendary college coach no time to put LSU on the map.

Fans of SEC basketball have seen many dominant programs. Including Pat Summit’s epic run with Tennessee. As well as what Dawn Staley is currently doing with South Carolina. However, it looks like there could be a new dynasty down in Baton Rouge. Do you believe the addition of Hailey Van Lith has secured the Tigers another national championship? Can LSU run the table and go undefeated next season? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. For the latest news in sports, keep it right here with HNHH.

Angel Reese Reveals What She Told Shaq In Recent Conversation

Angel Reese has become one of the biggest stars in the history of women’s college basketball. Reese was a major factor in the LSU Tigers winning the 2023 National Championship. Since that game, Reese has gone on to become an icon for the sport. However, it started out with a heated debate over her in-game celebrations. Fans chose sides when Reese began celebrating the impending championship over Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Thankfully that debate has been put to rest, and Reese is being celebrated for her play on the court.

Reese’s play on the court has caught the eyes of many in the basketball world. Including NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. Shortly after LSU’s national title run, Shaq was asked about his thoughts on the college basketball star. Shaq didn’t hold back on his high praise for Reese. The LSU legend claimed that Reese is the greatest athlete to ever attend LSU. Those comments are high praise considering how many great athletes have once called LSU home. However, Reese recently told Shaq to maybe slam the brakes on those claims.

Angel Reese Doesn’t Want G.O.A.T. Claim Just Yet

Reese recently spoke about Shaq’s comments during an interview with the Breakfast Club. During the interview, Reese told the crew what she said to Shaq about his comments. “Do you know how much pressure you just put on me?” Reese stated that Shaq didn’t seem to care about the pressure Reese must be feeling. However, Reese isn’t done with her legacy in Baton Rouge. The Tigers star will be returning next season to write another chapter in an already memorable legacy.

However, some past LSU athletes didn’t agree with Shaq’s comments on Reese. Olympic athlete Lolo Jones eviscerated Shaq’s comments on Reese being the greatest LSU athlete. But Jones didn’t disrespect her fellow Tiger. Jones claims she is a big fan of Reese, However, giving her the title of greatest athlete to ever attend LSU is disrespectful to those that have come before her. Do you agree with Shaq that Angel Reese is the greatest athlete to ever attend LSU? Please give us your opinions in the comment section. For the latest news in sports, keep it right here at HNHH.

Angel Reese Might Lead A Superteam at LSU Next Season

LSU took full advantage of the transfer portal ahead of the 2022-23 women’s basketball season. Veteran coach Kim Mulkey, who had joined ahead of the 2021-22 season, built herself an SEC contender that started the season 23-0. Eventually, despite not winning their conference, the team lifted the National Championship in a 102-85 victory over Iowa. That launched the players into the spotlight and made LSU the landing spot for talent.

Five of LSU’s players were transfers brought in by Mulkey. The best-known of this quintet is of course the team’s leading scorer, rebounder, and blocker Angel Reese. However, with multiple key players graduating, Mulkey might be headed back to the portal. And with the names linked to the program, she might be about to build a superteam around her star senior.

Aneesah Morrow Considering LSU

Earlier this week, Lousiville’s Hailey Van Lith officially visited LSU. Van Lith was a shock addition to the transfer portal, having started 101 games in three years for the Cardinals. If she were to commit, she would bring a mid-range shooting threat and deep tournament run experience to what is suddenly a very young team. Sure, all returning LSU players just won a Natty but Van Lith has made three consecutive Elite Eights. However, LSU doesn’t just seem content with ESPN‘s #1 player in the portal.

Aneesah Morrow is a bona fide superstar and ESPN’s #2 player in the portal. However, she was not heavily recruited out of high school and wound up staying close to home at DePaul. She immediately showed the rest of the country what they passed on. Named National Freshman of the Year in 2022, Morrow is a full-court threat. In two years of collegiate play, she’s averaging 23.5 points per game and 13 rebounds per game. Furthermore, a majority of those rebounds come on defense as the 6’1 forward guards the paint like a hawk. Additionally, with two years of eligibility left, she was incredibly sought after. On Friday, Morrow announced her three finalists via Twitter – USC, South Carolina, and LSU. If she were to pick the Tigers, they might as well be given the 2024 National Championship right now.
