Nets Reportedly Refused To Send Kyrie To The Lakers

Kyrie Irving hit the Nets with a conundrum last week. Initially, Kyrie had made it clear that he wanted to return to the Nets. Overall, he was looking for a long-term deal with guaranteed money. However, his inability to remain active for long periods of time swayed the Nets to add stipulations to a potential contract. Kyrie was not feeling these provisions and ultimately decided to request a trade. As you can imagine, this was a very hard pill to swallow for the Nets.

Consequently, they decided to make a trade as quickly as possible. They fielded calls all weekend long, and eventually, they traded Kyrie to the Dallas Mavericks. For some, this was a very surprising landing spot for the point guard. After all, Mark Cuban has been reluctant to make big moves. However, they knew that this was the best way to give Luka Doncic a fighting chance in the West. As you can imagine, the Mavs were not the only ones vying for Kyrie. In fact, most people had Kyrie going to the Lakers for a reunion with LeBron James.

Nets Diss The Purple & Gold

According to Marc Stein, it seems like Nets owner Joe Tsai was never going to negotiate with the Lakers in good faith. Stein wrote that the Nets’ objective was to avoid the Lakers. Kyrie preferred the purple and gold, although Tsai felt that it would be a bad idea to acquiesce like that. Moreover, the Lakers were offering a first-round pick and Russell Westbrook. For Tsai, that simply was not enough to justify giving up Kyrie.

LeBron certainly was not happy about this outcome as he took to Twitter with a solemn message. At this point, it is quite clear that the Lakers cannot catch any breaks. Meanwhile, the Nets are going to have a rough go of things until Kevin Durant comes back a few weeks from now. Let us know what you thought of the trade, in the comments below. Lakers Talking To This Team About Russell Westbrook

Overall, the Lakers have been a hit-or-miss team this season. They currently have a record of 25-28, which puts them 12th in the Western Conference. However, despite the poor record, they are somehow just a few games away from becoming the sixth-place team in the West. Needless to say, the team just needs one long win streak in order to break through. It won’t be easy, although with LeBron James and Anthony Davis playing on a new level, it is certainly possible.

Additionally, the NBA trade deadline is in about six days from now. The Lakers are one of those teams that are expected to at least try and make a big move. For months, the Lakers have been trying to move some of their pieces, to no avail. Guys like Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley are both expected to be on the trading block. While that sounds like a great negotiating chip, it hasn’t led to much for the purple and gold.

Lakers Taking Calls

According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, the Lakers have been having some discussions about Westbrook. As it turns out, these discussions have been with the likes of the Utah Jazz. Overall, Utah is a team that is trying to rebuild, while the Lakers want to win now. Moreover, the Lakers have two draft picks that the Jazz would love to own. Trading Westbrook to Utah as a rental could very well pay off. However, it remains to be seen who the Lakers would get in return. Given the price, it would have to be a pretty significant haul.

Either way, the Lakers have about a week to really think all of this through. They understand that teams will overcharge them, and they simply need to navigate that reality. However, if the team can marginally get better, then that could be all they need in order to make the postseason. Let us know what you think the Lakers should do, in the comments below. Snoop Dogg Claims Lakers Are Toying With His Health

Snoop Dogg has always been a huge fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. After all, when you live in Los Angeles, there are only two teams to root for. One of these teams hasn’t won anything. However, the other team is tied for the most titles in the history of the NBA. Needless to say, it is very simple as to who Snoop should root for. Although, the Lakers have not been making it very easy over these past couple of years. Overall, the team has been inconsistent, and even with LeBron on the floor, they haven’t been able to string together a ton of wins.

Yesterday, however, the Lakers were actually able to win, this time against the New York Knicks. It took overtime to do so, although LeBron showed out with a triple-double. Moreover, he scored a grand total of 28 points, which puts him 89 points away from the scoring record. As you can imagine, Snoop was watching it all unfold, and even took to Instagram after the win.

Snoop Dogg Reacts

Unfortunately for Snoop, the Lakers’ win ended up putting him through his paces. Overall, it was a fight until the end, and his heart almost couldn’t handle it. So much so that throughout the video, the Lakers were accused of toying with the man’s health. In all honesty, we can hardly blame Snoop for his words here. “You know what that smile means: the Lakers win. Yes! We find a way!” Snoop said. “Goddamn, y’all got my nerves bad and my blood pressure high. Goddamn it, figure it out and start winning every night goddamn it! I’m too old for this shit!”

Hopefully, for Snoop and Lakers fans everywhere, the team is able to get back on the right track. They seem to be doing better right now, and they aren’t too far back of the postseason. Regardless, it is going to be a very difficult fight for this team. They have a lot to overcome, and perhaps only the trade deadline can save them. Let us know what you think of the Lakers’ chances this season, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.

LeBron James Hints At His Future

LeBron James is one of the best basketball players to ever grace the NBA. Over the years, he has shown just how amazing he is. Overall, it is his longevity that could wind up being the greatest part of his legacy. He is 38 years old, and he is still playing some of the best games of his life. Additionally, he is on pace to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring title in about three games. Once he breaks that record, it will be hard not to call him the GOAT of the NBA.

Last night, James and his Lakers squeaked out a win against none other than the New York Knicks. For LeBron, it was yet another solid performance as he dropped 28 points. Furthermore, he notched his very first Triple-Double of the entire season. This is something that fans had been waiting for, and he most certainly did not disappoint. Subsequently, James spoke to reporters after the game where he got to talk about his longevity. It was here that he revealed that he is going to be around for a while. “I’m not going anywhere,” he said. “I’m going to be in this league for at least a few more years.”

LeBron James & The Future

LeBron James has always stated that he wants to play with his son Bronny. As it stands, Bronny is playing for Sierra Canyon, and next year, he will be in college. Consequently, there is a good chance that he will be ready for the NBA Draft in 2024. That means LeBron just needs to get through one more season before he potentially plays with his oldest child. From there, if the game continues to bless him, perhaps he will stay and play with Bryce. Overall, it would be one of the greatest stories in the entire history of sports.

As for LeBron and the Lakers, well, things haven’t been going so great. The team is still having a ton of trouble trying to break through in the Western Conference. However, the trade deadline is coming up, which means there might be some time to salvage the season. Let us know how you feel about LeBron and the Lakers’ chances, in the comments below.

LeBron James Drops Triple Double and Moves Up All-Time Assists List in Win Over Knicks

LeBron James is going crazy right now. In taking the fourth spot on the list, King James passed up a couple of point Gods in Mark Jackson (10,334) and Steve Nash (10,335).

“It’s amazing because that’s just what I love to do and get my guys involved,” said James to ESPN. “Anytime you link with some of the greats — Mark Jackson played here, was drafted here by the Knicks, so it’s a super cool thing. And obviously, we know when Nash was [in the league]; I played against him for many, many years. His ability to pass the ball was very uncanny.”

LeBron James Goes Viral With Hilarious Jayson Tatum Foul Theatrics

LeBron James and the Lakers have faced their fair share of problems this season. Of course, they struggled in the early going and have been trying to get back into a winning rhythm. Overall, this has been hard to do, and it was even harder on Saturday night as the Lakers lost to the Celtics.

However, the Lakers should have won on last-second free throws. Unfortunately for LeBron, the referees missed a very obvious call on Jayson Tatum. Subsequently, James responded with some hilarious theatrics in which he dropped to his knees. Subsequently, the Lakers went on to lose in overtime.

LeBron Speaks

Following the game, the NBA had no choice but to come out and comment on what happened. In the end, the league admitted to the fact that this was, indeed, a foul. Regardless, the Lakers still lost and there was nothing that could be done to actually overturn that fact. Consequently, James and his teammates were still incredibly upset with the result.

Following this game, James too to Twitter. The first time was on Sunday morning when he wrote “That one hurt bit time, I don’t understand.” Additionally, James commented on it again in the afternoon, saying “I don’t understand. I truly don’t.”

From there, LeBron clearly was not finished. He even took to his Instagram story where he continued to give his commentary on the matter. For instance, he posted a photo of the block on his Instagram story and even tagged Jayson Tatum. Subsequently, Tatum responded by saying “last night was a blur… good game champ.”

Needless to say, it was not a great night for Lakers players or the fans as a whole. They could not believe how badly they got hosed and for good reason. Overall, it was just a terrible night for the officials.

Shaq Roasted Over Rui Hachimura Admission

Throughout his time on TNT, Shaq has had some pretty bad takes about players in the NBA. He and Charles Barkley have proven that they don’t watch basketball beyond the top teams. Furthermore, they only know the superstar players. If there is a role player on the Indiana Pacers who is making noise, you can bet Shaq does not know who they are.

Overall, this has proven to be a bad look for Inside The NBA. While the ratings are still good, some fans find it incredibly disrespectful to the players who put in so much work. However, Shaq continues to diss players, including Rui Hachimura.

“If you ain’t a top 10 player, I don’t know who you are… I’m not watching the Bullets or the Wizards,” Shaq said when reacting to the Lakers-Hachimura trade. This is a move that some believe can help the Lakers immensely. Although, it doesn’t feel like Shaq agrees as he acted as though Hachimura doesn’t even exist. Funny enough, Hachimura has his own sneaker colorways with Jordan Brand.

Shaq Takes Criticism

As a direct result of his words, many decided to levy some criticism at Shaq. As you will see, a lot of people took issue with the way that the NBA legend completely dismissed Hachimura. Overall, the comments were pretty harsh, albeit a potential wake up call to those on the TNT panel.

The average NBA fan can tell when someone is being a “casual.” Shaq’s comments are that of someone who doesn’t exactly know everything they are talking about. Subsequently, fans are disappointed, as they understand just how much Shaq gets paid to know ball.

In Hachimura’s first game with the Lakers, he scored 12 points and is setting himself up nicely for a solid role. Let us know what you think of this young player, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world.

Kobe Bryant Remembered By Fans Three Years After His Passing

Today is a sad day for many Lakers fans as it marks the day that Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna tragically died. On January 26th, the two were traveling with seven others via helicopter. They were on their way to a basketball game when their helicopter subsequently crashed into a mountain.

Overall, it was one of the worst days in the history of the NBA. Kobe had numerous plans for the future while Gianna was a future superstar. Additionally, it was incredibly tragic to have other children and parents lost in the crash. It was a senseless tragedy that still feels surreal.

LeBron James Looked Fed Up On The Lakers Bench Last Night

LeBron James has been carrying the Los Angeles Lakers on his back throughout the entire season. Overall, the Lakers have not been particularly good. However, LeBron has been extremely fun to watch. At 38 years old, he continues to put up some truly incredible stat lines.

For instance, James scored 46 points against the Los Angeles Clippers last night. This was a huge performance, especially since he is only a few games away from breaking the scoring record. With each huge performance, he gets that much closer to toppling Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s longstanding record.

LeBron On The Bench

During the game against the Clippers, it was clear that the Lakers would lose. They just didn’t have enough fire power to keep up, especially with Kawhi Leonard back for the Clippers. Needless to say, it was a rough outing for the Lakers, who could not stay afloat.

Of course, this was very frustrating for LeBron James, who did everything he could to help his team win the game. Furthermore, he had to endure his teammates fighting on the bench. For instance, Russell Westbrook and Dennis Schroder got into it over a turnover. Subsequently, this led to a hilarious clip of LeBron on the bench, where he looked absolutely fed up with everyone around him.

Overall, the Lakers still have a lot of work to do if they want to go to the playoffs. Rui Hachimura should be coming in shortly, while the Lakers are looking to make additional moves by the trade deadline. Hopefully, for LeBron, he can get at least a bit of help so these performances don’t go to waste.

Lakers Add Rui Hachimura in Trade with Wizards

The Los Angeles Lakers have struck first in the 2023 NBA trade market. The Lake Show sends guard Kendrick Nunn and three second-round picks for the Washington Wizards for swingman Rui Hacimura.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the deal includes a 2023 second-round pick from Chicago, the 2029 Lakers pick, and the less favorable pick between the two.

Last week, Hachimura announced he wanted to play somewhere else. The Lakers plan on signing Hachimura to an extension in the offseason.

“I just want to be somewhere that wants me as a basketball player,” Hachimura said. “And I want to be somewhere that likes my game. … I just want to be somewhere that believes in me and I can be myself. That’s my goal.”

Hachimura is expected to assist LeBron James and the Lakers with 3-point shooting and defense.

“Adding both size and depth to the wing position has been a goal, and the chance to accomplish that by acquiring a player with Rui’s two-way skills and upside was an opportunity that doesn’t present itself often,” Lakers vice president of basketball operations and GM Rob Pelinka said.

Hachimura is averaging 13 points and 4.3 rebounds this season.
